TAKATA RECALL. MERCEDES BENZ HAS NOW CHANGED THE "PRIORITY GROUP" OF THE RECALL ON MY AIR BAGS FROM A "3" TO A "4", AND MOST RECENTLY A "5." AND THE EXPECTED DATE OF WHEN "REPLACEMENT PARTS [ARE] EXPECTE TO BE AVAILABLE" HAS CHANGED MULTIPLE TIMES, EACH TIME EXTENDING THAT DATE; THE LAST LETTER I RECEIVED SAYS "BY JUNE 30, 2018." THE LETTER I RECEIVED JUST LAST MONTH SAYS "BEFORE MARCH 31, 2018." I AM IN FLORIDA. EVERYTHING I READ SAYS FLORIDA SHOULD BE IN A HIGH PRIORITY GROUP DUE TO HUMIDITY. WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON? WHAT SANCTIONS HAVE BEEN IMPOSED ON MANUFACTURERS WHO ARE REPLACING AIRBAGS ONLY ON THE VEHICLES THEY ARE TRYING TO SELL, AS THIS IS WHAT THE MERCEDES DEALERSHIP IN JACKSONVILLE, FL IS DOING?
REPORTING A KNOWN MECHANICAL FAILURE TO ENGINE FROM APPARENT DESIGN OF ENGINE. 8/2017' VEHICLE HAD COMPLETE ENGINE FAILURE WITH <50000 MILES, A REPLACEMENT ENGINE WAS INSTALLED AT MY EXPENSE, COMPLAINT FILED WITH MERCEDES-BENZ AND AFTER INTERNAL REVIEW NO COMPENSATION WAS GRANTED TO CUSTOMER(MYSELF) 1/2018-COMPLETE ENGINE MECHANICAL FAILURE (2ND TIME). <6 MONTH FROM REPLACEMENT. REPORTED COMPLAINT TO MERCEDES-BENZ. COMPANY REFUSES TO COVER COST OF AN APPARENT MECHANICAL 'RECALL' ISSUE. THERE ARE DOCUMENTED MECHANICAL ISSUES WITH THIS ENGINE DESIGN RESULTING IN COMPLETE FAILED AND MERCEDES-BENZ REFUSES TO ASSIST CUSTOMERS WITH COST FOR THEIR DESIGN FLAW AND HAS NOT ISSUED A 'RECALL' TO THEIR CONSUMERS/CUSTOMERS.
RIGHT REAR TRAILING ARM MOUNT BECAME DETACHED FROM SUB FRAME. SHEET METAL ON REAR SUSPENSION SUB FRAME RIPPED / TORE SO THAT REAR TRAILING ARM IS ONLY ATTACHED TO LOWER PART OF MOUNT, AND NOT ATTACHED TO VEHICLE. NO ACCIDENT, BUT VEHICLE IS EXTREMELY UNSTABLE TO DRIVE WHEN HEAVY BRAKING COULD OCCUR! VEHICLE VEERS SUDDENLY TO THE RIGHT! CONCERN BESIDES INSTABILITY IS THAT LOOSE TRAILING LINK COULD PUNCTURE FUEL TANK LESS THAN AN INCH AWAY. FIRST NOTICED WHILE DRIVING ON I-4 WHEN A VEHICLE CHANGED INTO MY LANE ABRUPTLY, AND I HAD TO FORCEFULLY APPLY BRAKES.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. MERCEDES-BENZ OF BATON ROUGE (10949 AIRLINE HWY, BATON ROUGE, LA 70816, (225) 424-2241) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED MERCEDES-BENZ OF MUSIC CITY AT (615) 724-6262 (LOCATED AT 734 ENVIOUS LN, NASHVILLE, TN 37217) AND WAS INFORMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
TAKATA RECALL. MY AIRBAGS HAVE STILL YET TO BE REPLACED DESPITE A RECALL TAKING PLACE MULTIPLE YEARS AGO.
THE CAR WILL NOT START, NO POWER, NO LIGHTS, NO RADIO, NO RESPONSE AFTER INSERTING THE KEY. I TRIED BOTH KEYS AND SAME ISSUE EXISTS WITH BOTH KEYS. THE ELECTRICAL IGNITION SWITCH NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.
TAKATA RECALL THERE HAS BEEN AN OUTSTANDING RECALL ON MY VEHICLE SINCE 2016 WHICH STATES IF INVOLVED IN A CRASH METAL FRAGMENTS MAY COME THROUGH THE AIRBAG AND INFLICT SERIOUS BODILY INJURY ON THE DRIVER AND/OR THE PASSENGER. WHAT REMEDY DO I HAVE AS WE ARE NOW IN 2018 AND THIS HAS STILL YET TO BE FIXED?
TAKATA RECALL - WHY HAS THE NHTSA GRANTED AN EXTENSION TO PRIORITY GROUP 4 VEHICLES? MBUSA HAS MADE VERY LITTLE EFFORT TO ADDRESS THE AIRBAG RECALL AND HAVING THE NHTSA ALLOW THEM TO CONTINUE TO DRAG THEIR FEET IS UNACCEPTABLE.

MERCEDES DEALERSHIPS CONTINUE TO STATE THAT THEY ARE WAITING FOR MBUSA TO GIVE THEM THE REMEDY FOR THE AIRBAG REPLACEMENTS. NO SPECIFIC DATE OF INJURY, ARE THEY WAITING FOR AN INJURY TO OCCUR? TAKATA IS GOING BANKRUPT, THEIR WEBSITE PROVIDES A AIRBAG REPLACEMENT LINK WHICH SENDS US TO THE DEALERSHIPS WHOM REFUSE TO REPLACE THE AIRBAGS. THEY HAVE HAD THIS SAME EXCUSE EVER SINCE I LEARNED OF THE DEFECT.
TAKATA RECALL - I KEEP CALLING THE LOCAL MERCEDES BENZ OF ALEXANDRIA AND MERCEDES BENZ USA, FOR OVER 1 YEAR AND A HALF, THEY KEEP TELLING ME THAT PARTS ARE AVAILABLE TO REPLACE THE EXISTING DRIVER AND PASSENGERS AIR BAGS. IT IS ALMOST 2 YEARS WITH THE RECALL AND STILL NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO CORRECT THE RECALL. I AM NOT COMFORTABLE DRIVING THE VEHICLE FEARING GETTING INJURED DO TO A MALFUNCTION. IT IS UNFAIR TO PUT DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS IN SUCH A GREAT RISK AND FEAR. ALSO, I HAVE ANOTHER 2012 GLK MERCEDES BENZ I AM UNABLE TO SELL SINCE THE RECALL WAS ISSUED, AS PURCHASERS TURN AWAY WHEN THEY LEARN OF THE RECALL. I AM ALREADY AT A LOSS ABOUT $4,000, IN CAR DEPRECIATION SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY UNABLE TO SELL DO TO THE RECALL.
"TAKATA RECALL" I CONTACT A MERCEDEZ BENZ DEALER MANY TIMES IN ORDER TO HAVE THE DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG REPLACE AND THEY ALWAYS RESPOND THAT THE PART IS NOT YET AVAILABLE AND THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW WHEN IS GOING TO BE AVAILABLE. I'M REALLY CONCERN THAT IN CASE OF AN ACCIDENT I CAN BE INJURY BY THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAG INSTALLED IN MY VEHICLE. PLEASE LET ME KNOW HOW TO PROCEED TO HAVE THIS DEFECTIVE AIRBAG REPLACE AS SOON POSSIBLE.

MERCEDES-BENZ OF SILVER SPRING IN SILVER SPRING, MARYLAND WAS MADE AWARE OF THE RECALL AND STATED THAT THE PARTS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
HAVE RECEIVED COMMUNICATIONS FROM MERCEDES BENZ, BEGINNING MAY 2016, STATING PROBLEM WITH AIR BAGS WHICH COULD CAUSE INJURY AND EVEN DEATH. HAVE CALLED MERCEDES BENZ U.S.A. SEVERAL TIMES AS WELL A LOCAL DEALER AND ANSWER CONTINUES TO BE "PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE YET". SHOULD I DISCONTINUE USE OF THIS VEHICLE BASED ON THEIR WARNING OF INJURY AND EVEN DEATH?
MY 2011 MERCEDES C 300 HAS A FAILED IGNITION LOCK THE CAR STOP ON ME IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, I HAD TO HAVE A TOW TRUCK TO PICK IT UP AND TOW TO SHOP $$$ AND I BEGIN TO DO SOME RESEARCH THERE ARE SO MANY CARS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM THIS NEED TO BE ON THE RECALL LIST AND ALSO IT IS VERY EXPENSIVE TO REPAIR PLEASE HELP
ON 11/25/2017 AT 1550 HOURS, I MADE MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO START MY VEHICLE. THE KEY WOULD TURN BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE SWITCH LIGHTS WERE OPERATING. HOWEVER, THE WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN AND THE GEAR WAS STUCK. THE BATTERY WAS CHECKED AND IT WAS FULLY OPERATIONAL. THE TOW TRUCK COMPANY MADE MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO RECHARGE THE CAR WITH NO SUCCESS. MY CAR WAS TOWED FROM DC TO DUMFRIES, VA (HOME). ON 11/27/2017 AT APPROXIMATELY 0721 HOURS. MY VEHICLE WAS TOWED FROM MY HOUSE TO THE ALEXANDRIA MERCEDES-BENZ SERVICE CENTER. MERCEDES GAVE ME A LOANER CAR. AT 0945 HOURS, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE MERCEDES-BENZ SPECIALIST AND HE SAID THE ISSUE IS THE STEERING LOCK. WHICH IS A NORMAL PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES. I WAS TOLD THE PRICE WOULD BE $1,628. MY VEHICLE HAS NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES AND I KEEP MY MAINTENANCE AND EVERYTHING ELSE UP TO DATE. MERCEDES-BENZ SHOULD RECALL ALL VEHICLES THAT HAVE THIS ISSUE.
TAKATA RECALL- NHTSA RECALL #16V363 AND MANUFACTURER RECALL # 2016070003 ACTIVE RECALL SINCE MAY 25, 2016. NO REMEDY YET AVAILABLE. UNSAFE TO OPERATE VEHICLE. MANUFACTURER HAS NOT ADDRESSED THIS IN A TIMELY MANNER.

TAKATA RECALL I CONTACTED THE MERCEDES DEALERSHIP IN MODESTO CA AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PART TO REMEDY THIS RECALL IS NOT AVAILABLE YET! I RECEIVED A NOTICE IN YESTERDAY'S MAIL THAT TAKATA IS FILING BANKRUPTCY AND FOLLOWED THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE CARD. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED AT THIS TIME BUT MY FEAR IS WHAT CAN HAPPEN BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG ALREADY.

WE ARE A SMALL FAMILY OWNED CAR LOT THAT HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS SINCE 2005. WE SOLD A 2011 MERCEDES C300 TO A NICE YOUNG COUPLE LAST WEEK. AFTER ONLY HAVING IT LESS THAN 24 HOURS, THE CUSTOMER CALLED STATING THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START. SAID WENT TO START THE VEHICLE IN THE MORNING AND THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOCKED AND CAR WOULD NOT START. THE LIGHTS & RADIO TURNED ON BUT IT HAD A MESSAGE ON DASH TO REMOVE KEY FROM IGNITION. WE HAD TO CALL A TOW COMPANY TO TOW IT TO THE MECHANIC AND PUT THEM IN A LOANER CAR. LATER THAT DAY I STARTED DOING SOME RESEARCH AND REALIZED MANY MANY OTHERS ARE HAVING THIS SAME EXACT ISSUE AND IT IS COSTING THEM $1600-$1800 TO HAVE THE ESL & EIS REPLACED. IT IS INSANE HOW MANY OF THE SAME ISSUE HAVE BEEN RECOGNIZED AND REPORTED YET THERE IS NO ACTIVE RECALL ON THIS VERY DANGEROUS, EXPENSIVE ISSUE WITH ON A CAR THAT MANY PEOPLE CAN ONLY DREAM ABOUT HAVING! SEEING THAT SOME OF THE AIR BAGS ARE GETTING FIXED BUT CALLED DEALERSHIPS ALL THROUGH OUT TEXAS AND EVERYONE SAYS IT WILL BE MONTHS IF NOT YEARS TO GET THE RECALL FIXED. TAKATA RECALL MANUFACTURER CONTINUES TO BE UNABLE TO COMPLETE THE RECALL REPAIR
TAKATA RECALL MERCEDES BENZ HAS NOT REPLACED MY DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS. IT' HAS BEEN OVER A YEAR SINCE THE RECALL WAS ISSUED.
TAKATA RECALL. I RECEIVED THE NOTICE IN THE MAIL REGARDING THE AIRBAG PROBLEM. I WENT TO THE WEBSITE AND DETERMINED THIS CAR IS AFFECTED. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THERE ARE NO PARTS AVAILABLE, NOR DID THE DEALERSHIP HAVE ANY IDEA WHEN THERE MIGHT BE PARTS. RECALL ISSUED FEBRUARY 2016. PARTS STILL NOT AVAILABLE FROM MERCEDES BENZ FOR RECALL REPAIR? THIS IS CRAZY! HOW CAN THERE BE A RECALL FOR 18+ MONTHS AND THERE ARE STILL NO PARTS?

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 MERCEDES-BENZ C300. WHEN THE FUEL TANK WAS FULL, THERE WAS A STRONG FUEL ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE ON THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, THE ODOR WAS VERY STRONG INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAD TO ROLL DOWN THE WINDOWS FOR THE FUEL ODOR TO SUBSIDE. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING. WHEN THE FUEL TANK WAS HALF FULL, THERE WAS NO FUEL ODOR IN THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AT 800-367-6372 AND STATED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL; THEREFORE, THE CONTACT HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. A CASE NUMBER WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,000.

TAKATA RECALL. I CONTACTED THE DEALER (MERCEDES BENZ OF SOUTH BAY) MORE THAN 1 YEAR AGO AND THEN AGAIN ON NOVEMBER 3, 2017. I WAS INFORMED THAT THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE REPLACEMENT PART.
NO NO FIX
AS OF DECEMBER 21,2017 I AM STILL TRYING TO GET MY TAKATA AIRBAGS REPLACED AS A RESULT OF THE RECALL. I KEEP GETTING LEGAL NOTICES TO VISIT AIRBAGRECALL.COM, REGISTER MY CAR, AND GO TO THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP, BUT MERCEDES BENZ OF BATON ROUGE STILL CANNOT REPLACE THEM. I DO NOT KNOW WHERE ELSE TO GO OR WHAT ELSE TO DO. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A YEAR OR MORE.
"TAKATA RECALL" I CONTACTED THE THE AUTHORIZED MERCEDES-BENZ DEALER HAS FAILED TO REMEDY THIS SAFETY RECALL IN A TIMELY MANNER, I HAVE CONTINUOUSLY REACHED OUT FOR YEAR AND HALF AND THE MERCEDES-BENZ DEALER CONTINUOUS TO STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS ARE ON BACK ORDER.
TAKATA RECALL, I RECIEVED RECALL NOTICE ON THE AIR BAGS IN MY MERCEDES BENZ DURING THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2016. PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. IT IS NOW A YEAR AND A HALF LATER AND STILL ON PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. I HAVE LIMITED MY DRIVING OF THIS CAR, CURRENTLY LESS THAN 16,000 MILES ON THE CAR. NOW THAT THEY HAVE FILED CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY I AM WORRIED IT WILL NEVER GET REPLACED AND THE CAR WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY DEVALUED.
TAKATA RECALL - RECALLS WERE ISSUED FOR THE DRIVER'S AND PASSENGER'S AIRBAGS IN FEB 2016 AND MAY 2016, RESPECTIVELY. TO DATE, NO SOLUTION HAS BEEN OFFERED, THEREFORE, I AM STILL DRIVING WITH DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS AND AM VULNERABLE TO SUFFERING THE HARM AND/OR LOSS.

TAKATA RECALL STILL DO NOT HAVE PARTS TO FIX AIRBAG RECALL.
TAKATA RECALL - ACTIVE RECALLS WERE ISSUED IN 2/2016 AND 5/2016 BUT I'VE YET TO RECEIVE A REPLACEMENT AIRBAG IN A TIMELY MANNER. THE RECALL STATUS STATES, "REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE." I RECENTLY RECEIVED A NOTICE FROM TK HOLDINGS, INC. THAT TAKATA HAS FILED CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY. I'M CONCERNED FOR MY SAFETY WONDERING WHEN OR IF THIS ISSUE WILL BE RESOLVED FOR OWNERS IN DANGER.
1. TAKATA RECALL: THIS RECALL OF A DANGEROUS SITUATION HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT TWO YEARS NOW IS UNACCEPTABLE AND HAZARDOUS TO EM AND MY FAMILY. 2. LAW SUIT: GREG SUDDRETH AND PAUL DENTON V. MERCEDES-BENZ USA, LLC. ON 10/30/17, I HAD TO PAY 3445.13 FOR A REPAIR MY BALANCE SHAFTS GEARS, WHICH WE'RE DEEMED DEFECTIVE IN ALL M272 ENGINES WHICH IS IN MY C300. HOWEVER, IN THE ABOVE MENTIONED LAW SUIT, THIS PROBLEM WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN CORRECTED. WHEN I BROUGHT THIS TO THE ATTENTION TO THE MERCEDES-BENZ OF MODESTO TECHNICIANS, THEY SAID I MISSED THE CUT-OFF DATE BY ONE YEAR. THEY ACKNOWLEDGED I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND CHECKED TO SEE IF I QUALIFIED FOR A FREE REPAIR, BUT LATER CLAIMED, THE ISSUE WITH THE DEFECTIVE BALANCE SHAFTS GEARS HAD BEEN ADDRESSED. HOW CAN THAT BE WHEN I INCURRED THE SAME PROBLEM. THE REPAIR SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. I EVENTUALLY HAD TO HAVE THE CAR REPAIRED AT MERCEDES OF PLEASANTON BECAUSE MODESTO DIDN'T HAVE ANY OPEN APPOINTMENTS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION IN THIS MATTER. 3. FAULTY ELECTRONIC STEARING LOCK: ENGINE WON'T TURN ON AND STEEARING WHEEL IS LOCKED. SEVERAL PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM. MERCEDES CLAIM NOT A SAFETY ISSUE, BUT WHEN YOUR DAUGHTER GETS STUCK AT MIDNIGHT AT AN AMUSEMENT PARK ON HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR NIGHT...THAT'S A SAFETY ISSUE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION IN THIS MATTER.

ALEXANDRIA MERCEDES-BENZ (200 S PICKETT ST, ALEXANDRIA, VA 22304, (703) 341-2100) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. TAKATA RECALL FOR MANY MONTHS I STILL WAITING FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE AIRBAG ON MY VEHICLE AND THE DEALER KEEP SAYING THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PART. IT IS A VERY IMPORTANT SAFETY ISSUE AND IT SEEMS THAT NOBODY CARES. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT OTHER ACTION I MAY NEED TO TAKE IN ORDER TO HAVE A SOLUTION TO THIS VERY URGENT MATTER.
