MY VEHICLE WEARS THE INSIDES OF FRONT AND BACK TIRES. HAVE DONE WHEEL ALIGNMENTS, TOE-INS AND OTHER REMEDIES. THE PROBLEM WITH THIS IS THAT YOUR TIRES WEAR DOWN PREMATURELY AND THE UNSUSPECTING DRIVER DRIVES AND THE TIRES WEAR DOWN TO THE THREADS AND EXPLODES. THIS IS BECAUSE THEY DID NOT EXPECT THEIR TIRES TO LAST HALF OR LESS OF THE THREAD LIFE DUE TO THIS UNUSUAL WEAR, AND NO ONE CAN FIGURE OUT WHY THIS IS HAPPENING. ALSO, BECAUSE OF THE AREA THAT IT WEARS THE AVERAGE PERSON WOULD NOT EVEN NOTICE IT. VEHICLES GOING HIGHWAY SPEEDS (55-70 MPH) COULD HAVE BLOWOUTS AND KILL THEMSELVES AND OTHERS ON THE ROAD.
TIRE IS OUT OF ROUND. BRAND IS RADAR 245/40/18. ASKED SEARS AND RADAR FOR HELP REGARDING MY SAFETY AND HAVE BEEN IGNORED MORE THEN ONCE. AS I SEE IT THEY ARE IN COLLUSION TO PROTECT THEMSELVES FROM ANY LEGAL IMPLICATIONS. PLEASE NOT THE TIRE IN QUESTION IS A VERENTI R6 SOLD BY SEARS WHICH IS NOT ON YOUR DROP DOWN
THE PROTECTIVE LACQUER FINISH HAS FAILED CAUSING WHEEL CORROSION AND RUST FROM THE INSIDE OUT STARTING AROUND THE WHEEL HUBS. THIS CORROSION IS LIKE A METAL CANCER THAT IS STARTING TO DETERIORATE THE PROPERTIES OF THE METALS AND ALLOYS. THIS IS A HIGH PERFORMANCE VEHICLE WITH HIGH PERFORMANCE WHEELS. THIS MFG DEFECT POSES SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS AND IS A PRODUCT LIABILITY THAT DAIMLER NORTH AMERICA CORPORATION DBA MERCEDES BENZ USA'S HAS KNOWN ABOUT BUT YET HAS DONE NOTHING. THIS DEFECT HAS AFFECTED SEVERAL OTHER MERCEDES BENZ VEHICLES OF THE AMG PERFORMANCE LINE. OTHER MODELS INCLUDE SLK 55 AND SLK 350 FROM 2000-2009. IN ADDITION TO RUST AND CORROSION FORMING FROM THE INSIDE OUT ON SOME WHEELS, THE BOLTS THAT HOLD THE WHEELS TO THE HUB ASSEMBLY TEND TO RUST AS WELL FURTHERING THIS SAFETY ISSUE. NOTE: VEHICLE IS USUALLY PARKED AND COVERED IN A CLIMATICALLY CONTROLLED GARAGE WHICH IS NOT EXPOSED TO THE USUAL ELEMENTS OF NATURE.
TIRE EXHIBITS CHOPPINESS. WHILE OPERATING VEHICLE STEERING WHEEL ROCKS. CAR DEALER SAID IT IS A SIGN OF A CHEAP TIRE. HE SUGGESTED REPLACING IT WITH A BETTER TIRE. *TR
2007 MERCEDES BENZ E350. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO DEFECTIVE TIRES ON VEHICLE. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE FRONT TIRES WERE REPLACED ON DECEMBER 1, 2011. HE FOUND AN AIR BUBBLE ON ONE OF THE TIRES ON APRIL 16, 2013. THE CONSUMER STATED THE REPAIR SHOP FILED A CLAIM WITH THE MANUFACTURER, BECAUSE THE TIRE WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER, THEY DID SO WITHOUT SPECIFYING THE TRUE REASON FOR THE CLAIM, WHICH WAS AN AIR BUBBLE. THE CLAIM WAS NOT FOR WEAR AND TEAR, AS INDICATED ON THE INVOICE. THE CONSUMER IS SEEKING REIMBURSEMENT, DUE TO THE TIRE BEING DEFECTIVE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 MERCEDES BENZ E350. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 72 MPH, THE DRIVER SIDE REAR TIRE BLEW, CAUSING THE CONTACT TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND REPLACED THE FAILED TIRE WITH THE SPARE. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED TO THE CONTACT THAT THE WARRANTY WAS EXPIRED DUE TO THE MILEAGE OF THE TIRE BEING OVER 12,000. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE OTHER TIRES HAVE CAUSED PROBLEMS IN THE PAST AS WELL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,778
4 BENT WHEELS WITH NO MAJOR ACCIDENT OR POT HOLE RUN OVER. COST A LOT TO FIX, PUT WEAR ON MY TIRES. SHOULD NOT HAVE SUCH WEAK WHEELS ON A CAR. ALL OF THEM WERE BENT. *TR
AFTER NORMAL DRIVING, A SLIGHT SHAKE OCCURRED AROUND 80,000 MILES. I TOOK IT INTO THE SHOP AND THEY REPORTED 4 BENT RIMS (2 BEING DANGEROUSLY BAD). I HAD THE WHEELS STRAIGHTENED, AND I FOUND OUT THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD ONE WHEEL WELDED, SO THIS ISSUE WAS PRESENT BEFORE I BOUGHT THE CAR. WHILE DOING RESEARCH ONLINE, THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF WHEEL COMPLAINTS, PARTICULARLY ON THE E-CLASS. BECAUSE THERE ARE SO MANY VARIATIONS OF THE MODEL, I BELIEVE THAT NHTSA IS OVERLOOKING THE ISSUE BECAUSE OF THE WAY COMPLAINTS ARE ENTERED BY EXACT MODEL (EVEN THOUGH THE WHEELS THEY USE IS THE SAME ACROSS). *TR

DRIVING ON I95 IN WESTPORT CT. EXCELLENT DAYTIME DRIVING CONDITIONS ON SMOOTH, DRY ROAD. SPEED 60-65 MPH. REAR DRIVER SIDE TIRE LITERALLY EXPLODED. TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE I DID NOT HIT ANY DEBRIS. NO POTHOLES, BUMPS, ETC. *TR
HIT A SMALL POT HOLE AND DENTED THE TIRE RIM AND FLATTENED MY TIRE. THIS THE 4TH RIM AND 4TH TIRE REPLACED SINCE MARCH OF 2008. REPLACED THE RIMS AND TIRES AT APPROXIMATELY $1000/RIMTIRE. THESE LOW PROFILE TIRES/RIMS SHOULD NOT BE SOLD. *TR

HE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT ALL FOUR WHEELS WERE BENT AT THE INSIDE RIM DUE TO DRIVING OVER POTHOLES AND RAILROAD TRACKS. ALL FOUR WHEELS AND RIMS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER REFUSED TO ASSIST WITH ANY REPAIRS. THE POWERTRAIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 14,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,789. UPDATED 04/23/08. *LJ

THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT ALL FOUR TIRES ON HER VEHICLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO BUBBLES ON THE SIDEWALLS. THE TIRES WERE DIAGNOSED BY THE TIRE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE BUBBLING WAS DUE TO THE TIRES BEING LOW PROFILE. THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 14,000.
