I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 30 MPH ON A BACK STREET GOING HOME AND MY STEERING LOCKED ON ME AND I GOT A MESSAGE THAT POWER STEERING SYSTEM ASSIST FAULT. I COULD NOT TURN THE WHEEL AT ALL AND THEN A MESSAGE SYSTEM ADVANTRAC POPPED UP. I HAD NO CONTROL OF THE WHEEL AND I STOPPED REAL QUICK AND RAN INTO A DITCH. THANK GOD NO ONE WAS AROUND AND DID NOT GET HURT.
STEERING LOCKS UP WHEN IN MOTION, BACKING UP. POWERSTEERINGASSISTFAULT OR SERVICEADVANCETRAC COMES UP ON THE DASH. THIS IS A RECALL ON 2011 - 2015 MILANS, WHICH HAVE THE SAME ENGINE AND ASSEMBLY. THERE ARE OVER 150 LISTED COMPLAINTS ON THE NHTSA SITE FOR 2010 MODELS. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON 2010 MODELS. IS THIS A SAFE CONDITION TO DRIVE WITH? WHO IS RESPONSIBLE WHEN THE FAILURE ENDANGERS DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS.
HAVE RECEIVED NUMEROUS NOTICES FROM FORD ABOUT AIRBAG RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE. I RECEIVED THE LAST NOTICE REQUESTING I CONTACT MY DEALER.LOU FUSZ FORD, CHESTERFIELD, MO, AND GAVE THEM THE INFORMATION IN THE NOTICE ABOUT NOW BEING ABLE TO ORDER MY NEW AIRBAGS FOR THE MILAN. I JUST CHECKED WITH THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT THE ORDER PLACED FOR THE NEW AIRBAGS AND CANNOT LOCATE ANY ORDER ASSOCIATED WITH MY VIN. THIS IS NOW GOING ON 2 YEARS WAITING FOR THE FIX . EVERYDAY OUR LIVES ARE IN DANGER WHILE DRIVING THIS CAR.
MY CARS POWER STEERING SOMETIMES WON'T WORK WHEN I START THE CAR. IT WILL WORK AFTER I TURN CAR OFF AND RESTART IT. I SAW ON THE INTERNET THAT THIS A COMMON PROBLEM. I CALLED FORD AND HE SAYS THE RECALL DOES INCLUDE MY CAR. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY MY CAR IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. LATELY IT IS HAPPENING MORE OFTEN.
I WAS DRIVING IN SNOW AND ICE GOING DOWN A HILL WHEN MY ABS ACTIVATED. SUDDENLY THE BRAKE PEDAL HIT THE FLOOR. ONCE THAT HAPPENED IT TOOK TWICE AS LONG TO STOP THE VEHICLE. BROUGHT THE VEHICLE HOME. BLED THE BRAKES, SAME THING PEDAL HIT THE FLOOR. CHANGED THE ABS HYDRAULIC PUMP, BLED THE BRAKES AND USED A SCAN TOOL TO BLEED THE ABS HYDRAULIC PUMP. THEN REBLED THE BRAKES. SAME RESULT PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR. THEN CHANGED THE MASTER CYLINDER BLED THE MASTER CYLINDER AND BLED THE BRAKES. SAME RESULT PEDAL HITS THE FLOOR. HOWEVER THIS TIME I HAVE NO BRAKES. I HAVE TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE ON THE ROAD IN ALMOST 2 MONTHS. I HAVE SPENT ALMOST $1500 DOLLARS AND COUNTLESS HOURS FIXING AND RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE. I HAVE NOTED THAT MANY OTHERS ARE HAVING SIMILAR ISSUES WITH THEIR MILAN'S AND FUSIONS OF SIMILAR YEARS.
6F35 TRANSMISSION CHANGING GEARS ROUGHLY AND CLANKS WHEN TIME TO SHIFT GEARS
I WAS TAKING ON OFF-RAMP FROM THE FREEWAY AND MID-TURN MY POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING AND IT FELT LIKE THE WHEEL LOCKED UP. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO BRAKE AND STOP BEFORE GOING OFF OF THE ROADWAY. DASH INDICATOR MESSAGES DISPLAYED "POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT" AND "SERVICE ADVANCETRAC". THE CAR IS ABSOLUTELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE IN THIS CONDITION AND COULD HAVE EASILY CAUSED A CRASH AS IT HAPPENED MID-TURN WHEN EXITING THE FREEWAY. IN DOING SOME RESEARCH, I UNDERSTAND THE 2011 MERCURY MILAN AND FORD FUSIONS HAVE BOTH BEEN RECALLED FOR THIS ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING MODULE FAILURE. MY 2010 MILAN USES THE EXACT SAME ASSEMBLY AND THE REPAIR COST IS SIGNIFICANT AS I'VE RECEIVED QUOTES RANGING FROM $1600-2100. MY 2010 MILAN HAS LESS THAN 63,000 MILES AND IT IS UNACCEPTABLE TO EXPECT THE OWNER TO PAY THESE REPAIR COSTS ON A VEHICLE WITH SUCH LOW MILEAGE. PLEASE REVIEW THE PROBLEM AND EXTEND THE RECALL TO INCLUDE 2010 MODELS WHICH AT THIS POINT WOULD ALLOW ME TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE COSTS OF THE REPAIR. I HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE AND THIS CREATES A SIGNIFICANT HARDSHIP ON MY FAMILY AS WELL AS ANY OTHER PEOPLE WHO EXPERIENCE THE ISSUE. ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING IT IS A KNOWN DEFECT ON THE 2011 AND 2012 MODEL YEARS. IN TALKING WITH FORD CORPORATE AND MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP I UNDERSTAND THAT THE NHTSA MUST ISSUE THE RECALL, NOT FORD THEMSELVES. I AM SICKENED BY THIS PROBLEM AND CAN ONLY HOPE THE NHTSA WILL DO THE RIGHT THING AND EXTEND THE RECALL TO COVER MY VEHICLE.
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR 2011-2015 FORD FUSION/MERCURY MILAN'S BUT NOT 2010. MY CAR HAD A $10 PART THAT FAILED THAT BROKE MY POWER STEERING THAT ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT WHILE MOVING. THAT PUTS MY LIFE AND OTHERS AT RISK IT COST ME $1760 TO REPAIR A $10 PART BECAUSE THE $10 PART WASN'T UNDER RECALL WHEN OBVIOUSLY IT HAD THE SAME ISSUES AS THE OTHERS.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER HAD NOT PROVIDED THE PART TO SCHEDULE A REPAIR APPOINTMENT FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V001000 (AIR BAGS). THE CONTACT FOLLOWED-UP WITH AUTONATION FORD WHITE BEAR LAKE (1493 CO RD E EAST, WHITE BEAR LAKE, MN 55110, (651) 301-8386), BUT HAD NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE FOR OVER A MONTH. A LOANER VEHICLE OPTION WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED TO ADDRESS PART AVAILABILITY. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
POWER STEERING ASSIST FAILURE. IN MOTION BACKING UP NO POWER STEERING. ELECTRONIC RACK AND PINION STEERING DEVICE. THIS SAME PART WAS RECALLED ON 2011 MERCURY MILAN.RECALL SHOULD INCLUDE 2010.
POWER STEERING ACTIV TRAK WARNING CAME ON DISPLAYING SERVICE POWER STEERING SOON WILL DRIVING TO THE STORE. LESS THAN A MILE DOWN THE ROAD THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP. THE ACTIV TRAK SAID SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW. VERY DANGEROUS. THE PART NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. OBVIOUSLY THERE IS STILL A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF 2010'S ON THE HIGHWAY. DESPITE THE PLANT THAT IT WAS MANUFACTURED IN THE PART IF STILL FAULTY AND THEN RECALL NEEDS TO BE HONORED ON THE 2010'S AS WELL BEFORE A LIFE IS LOST OR SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY INJURED FROM LOSING CONTROL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MERCURY MILAN HYBRID. AFTER THE CONTACT CHARGED HIS ELECTRICALLY OPERATED VEHICLE, IT WOULD NOT OPERATE IN HYBRID MODE. THE CONTACT FOLLOWED THE DIRECTIONS IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL, BUT THE HYBRID MODE REMAINED NON-FUNCTIONAL. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SHEEHY FORD (901 N FREDERICK AVE, GAITHERSBURG, MD 20879, (301) 358-4443) TO BE REPAIRED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DISCLOSED. MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON A BUSY STREET AND FORTUNATELY DIDN'T HIT A CAR AT THE INTERSECTION WHEN I WENT THRU THE RED LIGHT. I WAS TOLD TO GO TO A FORD DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE DEFECT CONFIRMED. I CALLED THE CLOSEST FORD DEALERSHIP AND THEY WANT $129 TO DO DIAGNOSTICS TO CONFIRM MY BRAKES AREN'T WORKING BEFORE THEY CAN CONFIRM. WAS LEAVING MY CHURCH PARKING LOT GOING STRAIGHT UP THE ISLE DOING MAYBE 15 MILES PER HOUR WHEN A CAR BACKED OUT RIGHT IN FROM OF ME. WHEN I SLAMMED MY BRAKES ON THE PEDDLE WENT TO THE FLOOR WITH NO RESPONSE. I PULLED MY EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP WITH JUST A FEW INCHES. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IT HAS HAPPENED. IF I SLOWLY APPLY PRESSURE TO THE PEDDLE IT STOPS NORMALLY. AFTER REPLACING BRAKE PADS, ROTORS, AND BLEEDING ALL 4 LINES MULTIPLE TIMES IT HASN'T HELPED AND THIS PAST SUNDAY 1-6-2019 WAS A VERY CLOSE CALL. I RESEARCHED THE ISSUE ONLINE AND CAME ACROSS 42 OTHER COMPLAINTS OF THE SAME THING ON ANOTHER SITE.

TAKATA RECALL "INDEFINITE" DELAY
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 MERCURY MILAN. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SEIZED AND THE POWER STEERING ASSIST AND SERVICE ADVANCETRAC WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT POWERED OFF THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT CALLED STOLTZ FORD OF ST. MARY'S AT (814) 781-1010 (LOCATED AT 988-S ST MARYS ST, ST MARYS, PA 15857) AND A DIAGNOSTIC APPOINTMENT WAS SCHEDULED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,450.
TAKATA RECALL: MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP REPORTS THEY HAVE NOT HAD THE PARTS TO PERFORM THE REPAIR. THEY SAY "FORD HAS NOT RELEASED THE PARTS." THIS HAS BEEN THE SITUATION SINCE I RECEIVED THE DMV NOTICE DATED AUGUST, 2018.
TAKATA INFLATORS : I PICKED UP MY 2010 MERCURY MILAN AFTER BEING ADVISED OF THE RECALL AND WAS TOLD MY VEHICLE COULD NOT BE DRIVEN I RECEIVED A CALL TODAY AFTER 2 MONTHS STATING MY CAR WAS READY AS I ARRIVED TO THE DEALERSHIP I RETURNED THE RENTAL AND TRIED TO START MY OWN CAR AND COULD NOT THE VEHICLE WAS JUMPED AND I LEFT DEALER TURNED INTO TRAFFIC AND COULD NOT ACCELERATE AS THE CAR WAS SEIZED UP INTO 2ND GEAR THE BELTS HAVE POSSIBLE DRY ROT BRAKES HAVE CORROSION FROM THE CAR BEING STATIONARY ALL THE TIME WAITING ON PARTS. I RETURNED TO THE DEALER WHERE I WAS TOLD MANY CARS ARE HAVING NUMEROUS ISSUES AND THEY COULD NOT HELP ME AND I WAS THEN LEFT TO DRIVE MY UNSAFE VEHICLE HOME
THE RECALL WAS IN JUNE 2016. AS OF LAST WEEK THE LOCAL FORD DEALER STILL CANNOT PROVIDE ME WITH NEW AIRBAGS. WHAT A TRAVESTY!!

THE DEALER (CASA FORD, 5815 MONTANA AVE, EL PASO, TX 79925, 915-779-2272) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
RACK AND PINION MALFUNCTION - THE POWER STEERING WENT OUT ON MY VEHICLE AS MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING ON A CITY STREET AND APPROACHED A RIGHT TURN. AN INSPECTION BY MY LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP PROVED THAT THE RACK AND PINION HAD MALFUNCTIONED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THERE IS A RECALL ON THE 2011 YEAR, AND WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS THAT ARE ON FILE FOR THE 2010, I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THE RECALL DOES NOT EFFECT THIS YEAR AS WELL.
BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO FLOOR RANDOMLY. ALMOST RAN 2 STOP SIGNS AND HAD ACCIDENT. SHOP SAYS IS FAULTY ABS MODULE DUE TO LEAKY VALVES - WILL COST 1500.00 TO REPAIR. 110,000 MI. WHY IS THERE NO RECALL ON THIS SAFETY ISSUE FROM FORD?
INTERMITTENTLY, WHEN VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, WRENCH LIGHT COMES ON AND VEHICLE BEGINS TO DECELERATE. ONCE VEHICLE IS PULLED OVER TO SAFETY, VEHICLE NEEDS TO BE SHUT OFF. AFTERWARDS, THE VEHICLE MAY BE RESTARTED AND THE WRENCH LIGHT DISAPPEARS AND THE VEHICLE DRIVES NORMALLY FOR A FEW MORE MILES. THEN, THE ISSUE COMES BACK AGAIN. TO GET ANYWHERE FROM A TO B, THE VEHICLE WILL NEED TO BE PULLED OVER TO SAFETY AND SHUT OFF AND RESTARTED EACH TIME THE WRENCH LIGHT COMES ON AND THE VEHICLE BEGINS TO DECELERATE.
MY 20 YEAR OLD SON WAS DRIVING OUR 2010 ON THE STREET WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CAR LOST ITS POWER STEERING. HE HAD A VERY DIFFICULT TIME STEERING THE CAR AND WAS VERY CLOSE TO CRASHING THE VEHICLE. HE WAS IN A HIGH TRAFFIC AREA AT THE TIME OF THEI ISSUE. HE COULD HAVE INJURED HIMSELF OR DIED BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM, HE WAS ABLE TO, WITH GREAT DIFFICULTY, GET THE CAR OFF OF THE ROAD. HE WAS VERY LUCKY!! THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE. THE VEHICLE HAD 2 LIGHTS THAT DISPLAYED: 1. SERVICE POWER STEERING NOW AND 2. SERVICE ADVANCETRAC. IT IS STILL DISPLAYING ON THE DASH AND THERE IS NO POWER STEERING, THEREFORE THE VEHICLE CAN NOT BE DRIVEN.. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR!! THIS CAR IS ONLY 8 YEARS OLD AND IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE 2011 MILAN HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE ISSUE. I HAVE ALSO BEEN TOLD THAT THE 2010 HAS THE EXACT SAME SYSTEM (ELECTRIC POWER STEERING) AS THE 2011, BUT IT WAS NOT RECALLED. HOW CAN THAT BE?? IS IT LESS OF A SAFETY ISSUE BASED ONLY ON THE YEAR? THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO KNOX FORD (461 S DIXIE BLVD, RADCLIFF, KY 40160, (888) 433-4805) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BOOSTER AND MASTER CYLINDER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE COST OF THE REPAIR WOULD NOT BE FREE OF CHARGE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 220,000.
FAULTY ABS PUMP CAUSES LOW BRAKE PEDAL, SOFT BRAKING. I HAVE ALMOST REAR-END VEHICLES DUE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL GOING TO THE FLOOR DURING NORMAL DRIVING. SEEMS TO BE A COMMON FAULT ON THESE FUSIONS/MILANS.

MY 2010 MERCURY MILAN POWER STEERING JUST STOPPED. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS PROBLEM WITH OTHER MILAN'S FOR THE SAME AND THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS FOR THIS ISSUE. PEOPLE HAVE RESEARCH THIS AND FOUND THAT THERE POWER STEERING ASSEMBLY IS THE SAM AS THE RECALLS ON THE 2011 AND 2012. I CONTACTED FORD AND THEY COULDN'T GIVE SPECIFIC INFORMATION REGARDING THE RECALL OTHER THAN THE MAY HAVE BEEN ASSEMBLED AT A DIFFERENT PLANT. THEY MAY HAVE BEEN, BUT IT PRETTY OBVIOUS THAT IT IS MORE LIKELY THE POWER STEERING PART IS FAULTY. IT COST AT LEAST A COUPLE THOUSAND OF DOLLAR TO REPAIR WHICH IS A TERRIBLE HARDSHIP BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE HAVE TO HAVE A CAR TO GO TO WORK SO THEY CAN LIVE. I FEEL THAT THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE VIGOROUSLY. VEHICLE HAS 45,874 MILES ON IT TODAY. SUNROOF IS NOT WORKING SO I HAD LOCAL FORD DEALER CHECK OUT THE PROBLEM. SERVICE TECH REPORTS "FOUND CHUNKS OF BRACKETS LAYING IN THE TRACK ASSEMBLY. REC REPLACING SUNROOF TRACK. TRACK IS NOT SECURED PROPERLY WITH THE GLASS DUE TO THE DAMAGE IN THE TRACK ASSEMBLY. MAY NOT BE SAFE TO DRIVE. THERE IS ALSO THE POSSIBILITY OF TRACK LEAKING WATER." THE PROBLEM OCCURRED DURING NORMAL OPERATION AND IF THERE IS A SAFETY CONCERN AS THE FORD TECHNICIAN STATED, THEN I FEEL FORD SHOULD COVER THE COST OF THE REPAIR. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN, ESPECIALLY ON A VEHICLE WITH SUCH LOW MILEAGE. THE FORD SERVICE ADVISOR QUOTED A REPAIR COST OF $2020.00 AND EVEN HE SAID THE COST IS OUTRAGEOUS.

I WAS PUTTING MY CAR IN PARK AND THE LIGHTS FLICKERED A FEW TIMES THE CAR LOCK AND UNLOCKED A SEVERAL TIMES. I CUT THE CAR OFF AND WHEN I TIRED TO OPEN THE DOOR I COUNT OPEN IT OR LET THE WINDOWS DOWN. NO WINDOWS OR DOORS WOULD OPEN. I WAITED 5 TO 10 MINUTES. I TURNED THE CAR OWN AND ALL THE DOORS AND WINDOWS WORKED EXCEPT DRIVERS DOOR. UNABLE TO OPEN DRIVERS DOOR FROM INSIDE. I HAVE TO RULE DOWN WINDOW TO OPEN DRIVER DOOR.
BRAKE FAILURE: I WAS DRIVING ON INTERSTATE (55 MILES PER HOUR), AND WHEN TRAFFIC STOPPED, I WENT TO PUT ON BRAKES AND MY BRAKES WENT STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR!! I HAVE GOOGLED THIS AND THERE ARE OVER 700 COMPLAINTS ON MILAN BRAKES. WHY ISN'T THERE A RECALL ON THESE? !!

A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR, AND DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY 2011 MERCURY MILAN OWNERS ARE MORE VALUABLE THAN 2010 OWNERS. FEELS LIKE DISCRIMINATION. I WAS IN MOTION MERGING ONTO A TWO LANE HIGHWAY. I RAN OVER TWO CONSECUTIVE MANHOLE COVERS WHILE LIGHTLY BRAKING TO SEE IF IT WAS CLEAR. BUT WHEN I WENT TO BRAKE BECAUSE IT WASN'T CLEAR TO MERGE ONTO THE HIGHWAY I HAD BARELY ANY BRAKE! THANKFULLY THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME WAS ABLE TO MERGE OR I WOULD HAVE HIT HIM. AFTER THAT I HAD A VERY SOFT BRAKE PEDAL. LEFT IT IN A PARKING LOT UNTIL AFTER WORK. SO HOURS LATER, THE BRAKES SEEMED FINE. BUT I DIDN'T TRUST IT. HAD IT TOWED AND FORD TOLD ME IT WAS THE ABS HCU AND ECU AND THAT THEY ARE KNOWN FOR THIS PROBLEM. ESPECIALLY AFTER TRAVELING ON A ROUGH ROADWAY. I HAD TO GO BACK TO THE ROAD THE NEXT DAY BECAUSE I COULDN'T REMEMBER IT BEING A ROUGH ROAD. THEN I SAW THE TWO CONSECUTIVE MANHOLE COVERS. I RAN THEM OVER IN MY HUSBANDS TRUCK AND SURE ENOUGH, EVEN HIS TRUCK JOLTED FROM THEM, ENOUGH FOR THE ABS TO ENGAGE. THIS IS A HORRIBLE ISSUE AND I'M AMAZED THAT FORD HAS NOT MADE IT A RECALL YET! WHAT WILL IT TAKE!? THE REPAIR WAS QUITE EXPENSIVE. AND I WAS OUT OF A CAR FOR TWO WHOLE WEEKS! IT TOOK ALMOST A WEEK FOR THE PART TO COME IN. IN NOV. 2017 THE FLUID WAS FLUSH BUT IT REOCCURRED. FORTUNATELY, NO ONE WAS IN FRONT OF ME OR THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN AN ACCIDENT OR FATALITY. THE CAR TOOK AN EXCESSIVE DISTANCE TO STOP. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT FORD MUST CORRECT BEFORE SOMEONE DIES.
