Whenever I fill ip the tank I get a fuel smell inside the vehicle. I do not overfill the tank and always stop filling when the fuel pump stops the first time. I have not been able to identify a leak and have not seen fuel leaking under the vehicle. The smell is strong for about the first 1/4 tank of use.

The truck has been stalling while driving or won't start. The ECM relay was recalled and was taken care of Thursday, February 19. However, the truck still stalls while driving and won't start at times. I've asked Nissan to look at the IPDM to see if there was any consequential damage, but they won't without paying a fee for a diagnostic test. This is a major safety issue that needs to be fixed. The recall was from 2010, but we have only owned the vehicle since 2024 and had no idea about the recall.
The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Frontier. The contact stated that the vehicle was leaking oil. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact drove the vehicle to a local dealer who diagnosed that the valve cover gasket needed to be replaced. Additionally, the spark plugs needed to be replaced. The dealer later called the contact and informed the contact that the bank #1 and #2 cam sensors and the coil packs needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the dealer later called back and stated that the vehicle was making an abnormal sound and upon performing a diagnostic test, the dealer advised that the timing chain needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 110,000.
Truck will turn on once in awhile and I was told it is the ipdm module and that there's a recall on the part. What can I do to get the part sent to me since there is a recall and the mechanic told me that with a recall I can get the part sent to me at no cost to me

The local dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact owns a 2006 Nissan Frontier equipped with an aftermarket Angel View rearview mirror from Bulbhead.com, P/N: L22-1722. The contact stated that after entering the vehicle and closing the front driver’s side door, the glass mirror detached from the mirror housing and fell to the floor of the vehicle. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure.
BRITAX E1C199S GROW WITH YOU, CLICKTIGHT The shoulder straps are too low and the head cradle is too high in the harness position. The harness shoulder straps are 2 inches below the red seat-belt guide for the booster. See picture. This is dangerous. See their own pictures on their website of both the boy and the girl who are in dangerous head positions.
A gasoline leak has developed on the fuel tank hose fill adapter that is a molded fixture of the gas tank. In which there is no replacement part or fix for the hose fill adapter gasoline leak but to replace the whole gas tank, which cost hundreds of dollars. I alerted Nissan to the problem that a catastrophic situation could occur related to this grave engineering mistake. Because there are millions of people still driving this type of vehicle and others with the same gas tank design. Nissan said that it is not their problem because the vehicle is out of warranty, and there is no recall, on what I believe to be grave danger for all who owns a Nissan vehicle with this type of gas tank design. My opinion is that a warning bulletin or re-call should be issued immediately for this dangerous problem that many motorist may already have.
Concern about the seatbelt notice. I have a constant blinking dash light about the passenger seatbelt!
2 months after purchasing the vehicle (with 98,410 miles) it started to shutter around 40 and 60 mph. At a little over 100,000 miles it began to slip in 5th gear (overdrive). It has been getting worse in the last 1,000s. Both Nissan or the local dealer are willing to offer any financial assistance.
I was at work, Which is 100% depended on my vehicle, as I work in the oilfield, I was out in the middle of nowhere, when I was getting back into my vehicle, I turned the key and the vehicle would not even turnover, I was forced to walk 5 miles to get to a job site that cell phone service to make a call for help, Took the truck to my mechanic, He said it was a transmission code coming up on his computer and that he was unable to fix, So I had to tow the vehicle a second time to Nissan in Grand Junction co. where they informed me that the Transmission and Radiator fluid has mixed together, Now I'm needing a new Transmission and coolant system at a price over $6000, They did let me know that this was a VERY common problem with this vehicle.

The contact continued to drive the vehicle. The dealer was notified of the failure and advised the contact that they were not aware of that failure. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring while driving. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to NHTSA. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 111,000.
The contact owns a 2006 Nisan Frontier. The contact stated that the fuel gauge failed to accurately display the amount of fuel in the fuel tank. The contact stated that the failure was more evident once the fuel tank was at the quarter mark. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer confirmed that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V075000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,000.
On June 30, July 6 and 9th 2021 I was driving down the street at 50 miles p/hr. And the truck just stopped in the middle of the road. No engine just stopped. I called the NHtSAAnd reported this according to the October 28th 2010NHtSA campaign number 10V517000 engine Control Model. It was recalled and supposedly repaired. The person I talked to Kathyrn said that it had been recalled and fixed so it was no longer a recall problem. This vechile is a safety recall and still is, It should be fixed, it was evidently not fixed before.
AFTER TURNING OVER 72,000 MILES, A SLIGHT VIBRATION WAS NOTICED DURING NORMAL DRIVING CONDITIONS. OUR LOCAL TRANSMISSION MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS A NON-REPAIRABLE TRANSMISSION DUE TO RADIATOR FLUID MIXING WITH THE TRANSMISSION FLUID: RESULTING IN THE NEED FOR A BRAND NEW TRANSMISSION.
IPDM MODULE AND ECM SYSTEMS FAILURE 4.0 L V-6 CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON ALSO BATTERY LIGHT
FUEL SENDING UNIT WORKING SPORADICALLY AND TRIGGERED CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. FUEL GAUGE IS MARKING HALF TANK THEN SLOWLY WENT UP, BUT FUEL TANK WAS FILLED UP. THERE IS ALSO A RECALL ON RADIATOR LEAKING ANTIFREEZE INTO TRANSMISSION BUT HAS NOT HAPPENED YET.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE UPON DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN SLOWLY TO THE RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT RADIATOR FLUID HAD LEAKED INTO HER TRANSMISSION WHICH HAD CAUSED THE TRANSMISSION TO FAIL. THE CONTACT THEN TOWED THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO CONFIRMED THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED HER THAT HER VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. THERE WERE ALSO NO RECALLS ON HER VEHICLE IN RELATION TO THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY THE SAME INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 105,000.
2006 NISSAN FRONTIER TRANSMISSION FAILING DUE TO ENGINE COOLANT AND TRANSMISSION FLUID MIXING. TRUCK STARTED JERKING AT TIMES JUST CRUISING USUALLY BETWEEN 40 AND 50 MPH THEN WORSE. COOLANT RESERVOIR AND RADIATOR WAS NOTICED IN COMPONENTS. TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP AND GAVE ME A PRICE OF 5300 TO REPLACE RADIATOR AND TRANSMISSION AND FLUSH ALL SYSTEMS. I HAD BEEN READING REVIEWS ON THESE MODELS AND WAS HOPING THIS WASN'T THE ISSUE ON MINE. AS SOON AS I NOTICED THE FLUID CONTAMINATION I WAS SICK. HAD NO IDEA OF THIS PROBLEM. ALOT OF REVIEWS SAY STEER CLEAR OF THESE VEHICLES. THIS FRONTIER IS MY 3RD OWNED NISSAN VEHICLE. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE INTELLIGENT POWER DISTRIBUTION MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED HOWEVER, NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000.
DRIVING TO WORK AND VEHICLE SHUT OFF AND COASTED TO A STOP. I TRIED TO RESTART AND IT ACTED LIKE IT WAS NOT GETTING FUEL. THE GAS GAUGE WAS SHOWING SLIGHTLY UNDER A 1/4 OF A TANK. I HAD SOMEONE COME GET ME AND TAKE ME HOME. AFTER DOING A LITTLE ONLINE RESEARCH I FOUND A NHTSA RECALL FOR THAT SPECIFIC TRUCK CAMPAIGN ID# 10V075000, RECALL DATE 3/3/2010. AFTER READING THIS I WENT AND PURCHASED SOME GAS AND PUT IT IN THE TRUCK.THE TRUCK FIRED RIGHT UP BUT THE GAS HAND DIDN'T MOVE. CALLED TWO LOCAL NISSAN DEALERS AND TALKED TO THEM ABOUT THE RECALL BUT THEY FOUND NONE FOR MY VIN.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. NISSAN DIAGNOSED ENGINE COOLANT IN TRANSMISSION FLUID. NEED NEW TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR.
THE DRIVER'S SIDE SEATBELT DOES NOT RETRACT CORRECTLY. I CONTACTED A LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND NISSAN AMERICA. THE DEALERSHIP GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE, WITHOUT SEEING THE TRUCK OF $100-$1500.00 TO REPLACE THE CURRENT SEATBELT. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE FOR THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE, NOT BASED ON THE MILAGE/AGE OF THE VEHICLE. I WILL CERTAINLY LET ALL KNOW ABOUT NISAAN'S LACK OF CONCERN FOR THE GENERAL PUBLIC WHICH CHOOSE TO PURCHASE THEIR CARS, NEW OR USED! NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAD A HONDA ACCORD THAT WAS 20+ YEARS OLD AND HONDA REPLACED THE SEATBELT AND ASSEMBLY FOR FREE, BEING IT WAS A SAFETY ISSUE!!!!!
WHILE TURNING TO GO UP HILL TOWARD HOME VEHICLE SUDDENLY DIED. LUCKILY NO ONE WAS BEHIND ME SO I PUT IT IN PARK AND AFTER HESITATION IT FINALLY RESTARTED. I TOOK TO DEALER,WALLACE NISSAN IN KINGSPORT, TENNESSEE AND THEY RAN CES CODE. THEY SUGGESTED HAVING RIGHT SIDE CAM SENSOR REPLACEMENT AND FLOAT IN GAS TANK WHERE IT HAS QUIT READING AT A COST OF APPROXIMATELY 700 TO 800 DOLLARS. CURRENTLY HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. PS : I PERFORMED THE BYPASS TO AVOID CROSS CONTAMINATION OF RADIATOR FLUID AND TRANSMISSION FLUID MYSELF AFTER READING OF ALL OF THE PROBLEMS THAT HAS CAUSED.THE TRANSMISSION HAS A SEPARATE COOLER; I DON'T KNOW WHY IT GOES THROUGH THE BOTTOM OF THE RADIATOR ANYWAY. CURRENT MILAGE IS 49,899 WHICH IS LOW MILES FOR A 2006 MODEL. A PERSON SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SURF THE WEB TO KNOW WHAT THEIR VEHICLE NEEDS WHEN NISSAN SHOULD BE NOTIFYING THEM. PEOPLE ARE PAYING FOR UNNECESSARY REPAIRS WHERE A SIMPLE RECALL COULD HAVE SAVED THEM THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AND MORE IMPORTANTLY SOMEONE'S LIFE FROM AN ACCIDENT.
CAMPAIGN ID PC042, I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK USED FROM A DEALER WHEN I WENT TO FILL UP THE GAUGE READ EMPTY I FOUND THIS RECALL BUT THE NISSAN DEALER SAID MY TRUCK ISN'T ON THE RECALL , IT IS DOING EXACTLY WHAT THE RECALL CLAIMS AND IT'S FOR 2006-2008 FRONTIER , I CAN'T AFGORD TO GET IT FIX AND THEY WON'T HONOR THE RECALL .
IN EARLY 2018 THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT BEGAN FLASHING. I BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN TO MY CERTIFIED MECHANIC TO IDENTIFY THE ISSUE. THE ISSUE WAS DETERMINED TO BE THE RIGHT FRONT SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY. I AM TOLD THE ISSUE WITH THE SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY IMPACTS THE DEPLOYMENT OF THE AIRBAG AND THE MECHANISM THAT PREVENTS THE SEAT BELT FROM SPOOLING OUT WHEN AN ACCIDENT OCCURS. I HAD THE PART REPLACED ON MAY 29, 2018 BY MY CERTIFIED MECHANIC WITH A NISSAN OEM PART THAT CAME FROM LARRY MILLER NISSAN IN DENVER COLORADO. THE ISSUE WAS FIXED AND THE WARNING LIGHT WENT AWAY. SLIGHTLY MORE THAN 1 YEAR AFTER THE REPAIR, THE NEW PART FAILED. NISSAN WILL NOT STAND BY THEIR PART, THEY ONLY WARRANT IT FOR 1 YEAR, BUT I AM MORE CONCERNED THAT THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE DESIGN OR MANUFACTURING OF THE PART. A SAFETY PART LIKE THIS SHOULD NOT FAIL, LET ALONE TWICE.
I BOUGHT THIS TRUCK FROM A DEALERSHIP, WITH 118,500 MILES IN, AND I ONLY DROVE IT 1,500 MILES AND TRANSMISSION BROKE, I NEVER THE WARRANTY FOR THE TRUCK, AND THE REPAIRS CAME OUT $4,237 DOLLARS WHAT CAN I DO IN THIS SITUATION. PLEASE LET ME KNOW. THANKS.
LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING, HAD IT CHECKED BY TRANSMISSION SHOP AND TURNS OUT THERE IS A DEFECT IN OEM RADIATOR CAUSES CONTAMINATION OF TRANSMISSION FLUID AND ENGINE COOLANT. WAS REQUIRED TO SPEND OVER $6000 OUT OF POCKET TO FIX.
TRANSMISSION STARTED SLIPPING AND THEN LOST REVERSE.AND FINALLY JUST KEPT SLIPPING AND WOULDN'T MOVE MORE THAN A FEW HUNDRED FEET ,AND WOULD TURN OFF AND WOULDN'T RESTART UNTIL THE TRANSMISSION COOLED OFF,AND WHEN IT RESTARTED THE IDLE OR TACHOMETER WOULD JUMP INTO THE RED LINE AREA EVEN THOUGH THE TRUCK WOULDN'T DRIVE PAST 20 MPH. COASTING ON THE FREEWAY I WOULD PULL TO THE SIDE AND HAVE CARS DRIVE AROUND MR WHILE TRYING TO PUSH IT OFF THE SHOULDER,LOOKING FOR AN OFF RAMP TO GO TO THE NEAREST TRANSMISSION SHOP I COULD FIND..SECONDLY I HAD TO REPLACE MY FUEL SENDER AND OR. MY FUEL PUMP I T WENT OUT WHEN I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY THINKING I HAD A HALF A TANK WHEN ACTUALLY IT WAS ON EMPTY ..SO I REALLY NEVER KNEW HOW MUCH FUEL IT HAD UNTIL I GOT IT FIXED AT SAM'S AUTOMOTIVE IN BEAUMONT CA .92223 AND SAM HAS RETURNED AND SOLD THE BUSINESS SO I HAVE NO RECEIPT ONLY REMEMBERING IT COSTS BETWEEN 500 AND 100 DOLLARS .. AND YES I CHECKED AND IT TOO HAD A RECALL AND I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE RPMS INCREASED TO 4,000. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED INTO REVERSE, THE GEAR WENT INTO NEUTRAL. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS SHIFTED INTO DRIVE, IT WENT INTO LOW GEAR WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE RADIATOR FLUID LEAKED INTO THE TRANSMISSION, AND THE RADIATOR AND THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 129,000.
FAULTY GAS GAUGE. FUEL LEVEL SENSOR MALFUNTION
PASSENGER AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. IN MOTION FROM A PARKING LOT. FUEL GAUGE SUDDENLY FELL TO EMPTY ON 07/10/2019 LIGHTS ON DASH ILLUMINATED SHOWING NEED FOR UPCOMING SERVICE AND TIRE PRESSURE LOW.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND ALMOST CRASHED. MECHANIC SAID THE RADIATOR AND TRANSMISSION FAILED. RADIATOR FLUID MIXED INTO TRANSMISSION FLUID. VEHICLE ONLY HAS 85000 MILES ON IT.

FUEL GAUGE STARTED HANGING ON A QUARTER TANK WHEN I HAD MUCH LESS THEN WHEN I REALIZED THAT IT HAS TO BE WRONG AND FILLED IT UP IT WOULD GO TO EMPTY AND TURN ON CHECK ENGINE UNTIL IT GOT DOWN A WAYS THEN WORK UNTIL 1/4 AGAIN WHERE IT WOULD SIT UNTIL YOU RAN OUT.SAME SCENARIO AS NHTSA #10V-075 BUT NISSAN SAYS MY TRUCK WAS NOT AFFECTED VIN# EVEN THOUGH IT HAS LOW MILEAGE AND WENT OUT AT ABOUT 70000 MI RANGE
TCM FOR NISSAN TRUCK FRONTIER 2006 V6 LE IS MALFUNCTIONING. WHEN I AM DRIVING IT JUMPS TO ANOTHER GEAR LIKE 3 GEAR. IT SHIFTS BY ITSELF AS IF I WAS CARRYING A LARGE LOAD. IT LOSSES POWER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WITH NOSINGS.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
VEHICLE WILL NOT CHANGE GEARS AND IS SLUGGISH. THE DISPLAY ON THE SPEEDOMETER DOES NOT SHOW THE POSITION OF THE TRANSMISSION. I HAVE SPENT OVER 600 DOLLARS TO FIND OUT THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE IS BAD AND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL TO FIX COOLENT LEAKING INTO THE TRANSMISSION FLUID. MY VEHICLE IS STILL BROKEN BECAUSE OF THE PART COST 1100 USD AND THE REPAIR. TOTAL BILL IS 1600 USD. THIS WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND SHOULD BE FIXED WITHOUT ME PAYING A DIME. MY VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. NOW IT WON'T EVEN GET UP TO SPEED THE TRANSMISSION SOUNDS AS IF IT IS STUCK IN A GEAR. VERY ERRATIC. MY CRUISE CONTROL ALSO JUST BLINKS AND WHEN THE MECHANIC TESTED THE CODES IT GAVE A NETWORK FAILURE CODE
IN APRIL 2019 I WAS DRIVING MY 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER TRUCK 4X4 V6 . SUDDENLY I NOTICE A LACK OF POWER AND THEN IT DID NOT MOVE ANY WHERE. I CALL A TOW TRUCK SERVICES TO TAKE IT TO THE MECHANICS. THE WAS THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE FAILURE , DO TO THE RADIATOR COIL LEAKING. WE PUT A NEW RADIATOR AND BOUGHT A TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE THAT COST $964.00 DOLLARS. TH3 MECHANIC INSTALLED IT AND RECOMMENDED TO TAKE IT TO NISSAN FOR PROGRAMMING. AFTER 3 TIMES TRYING NISSAN SAD THAT THE CONTROL MODULE WAS DEFECTIVE. THIS ISSUE HAS COST ME ALMOST $2,500.00 IN TOWING AND LABOR BACK AND FORWARD AND STILL MY TRANSMISSION IS NOT WORKING. I AM NOW IN THE PROCESS OF BUYING A TRANSMISSION. THIS IS NOT FAIR HOW A COMPANY THAT KNOWS THAT PRODUCT IS DEFECTIVE WAIT UNTIL THE WARRANTY IS OVER AND DON'T FIX THE PROBLEM PRIOR. THEY ARE KNOW FOR THEIR CTV PROBLEMS WITH TRANSMISSION AND WITH THE RADIATOR COIL BEING DEFECTIVE. THIS COMPANIES OPERATING IN OUR COUNTRY ARE ABUSING THE CONSUMERS WITH NO BODY DOING JUSTICE. I HOPE THIS HOPE SOMEONE OR AT LEAST BRING AWARENESS TO OUR GOVERNMENT AGENCIES THAT PROTECT CONSUMERS. THANKS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 NISSAN FRONTIER. THE CONTACT NOTICED AN ABNORMAL FUEL ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE. THE ODOR ATTACHED ITSELF TO THE CONTACT'S CLOTHES. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 73,727.
THE PROBLEM STEMS FROM AN ACKNOWLEDGED DEFECT INSIDE THE RADIATOR ASSEMBLY. THE METAL TUBES THAT SEPARATE ENGINE COOLANT FROM TRANSMISSION FLUID CRACK OVER TIME. COOLANT AND TRANSMISSION FLUID MIXES THROUGH THESE CRACKS AND SUBSEQUENTLY CAUSE TRANSMISSION FAILURE. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN THIS HAPPENED. VEHICLE WAS STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT BUT WHEN THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN VEHICLE HAD NO POWER WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALER WHERE THEY TOLD ME THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE TRANSMISSION AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN DOCUMENT MANY TIMES BEFORE AND NISSAN IS AWARE OF IT. A MANUFACTURE RECALL HAS NEVER BEEN ISSUED. REPAIRS HAVE BEEN ALLOWED UNDER WARRANTY BUT THIS VEHICLE IS PAST THE TIME LIMIT AND NUMBER OF MILES DEFINED IN THE WARRANTY AND NISSAN WILL NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS DEFECT.
ON A CITY STREET, WENT TO PARALELL PARK AND NOTICED THE STEERING WAS STIFF. AFTER PULLING OUT, NOTICED STEERING HAD STAYED STIFF AND WAS HARD ENOUGH TO TURN THAT IT FELT LIKE THE STEERING HAD LOCKED. AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE TO BE LOOKED AT BY A MECHANIC, HE INFORMED US THAT IT WAS A STEERING COLUMN SHAFT FAILURE AND IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS MODEL OF NISSAN, AND FOR US TO CHECK TO SEE IF THIS WAS UNDER RECALL AS IT SHOULD BE.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE CURRENTLY DISPLAYED AS BEING EMPTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER, CHECKED FOR RECALLS, AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 47,500. *TT CONSUMER STATED GAS GAUGE QUIT READING; LIGHT IS ON SHOWING TO BE EMPTY, DRIVERS SIDE GLASS WON'T ROLL UP AND DOWN. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER.*JB
