My 2011 nissan juke has approximately 118,000 miles and I've ran out of gas several times even when it said there was 88 miles left in the tank and the traction control light won't go off it stays on constantly along with the check engine light and tire pressure warning light and its making a squealing noise and its losing power I've only had it a year I know they have been recalled for certain reasons but I'm not sure if this car has been fixed or not i can't afford to get it fixed due to health and medical bills including hospital bills from when my wife passed away I'm finding several issues people have had with the jukes why isnt nissan extending the recalls because for people who buy them from private people dont know if the car has been recalled or fixed its very unsafe I've lost power while driving at 45 miles an hour because it ran out of gas even when it displayed 88 miles left my car needs fixed and its expensive I had to replace the ball joint and was told it was going to be almost 700$ or it wouldn't pass inspection this car has turned into a money pit i can't even resell it i need help getting it fixed please
Transmission has a problem with overheating on any trip longer than an hour, leading to the car going into limp mode and being unable to maintain speeds and/or climb any high % grade. This has happened to me multiple times, leading to an immediate loss of power and the need to pull over and park on mountain roads to avoid rolling backwards. This is a known issue on juke forums, and nissan themselves have code read countless cars with the CVT transmission being the issue.
The contact owns a 2011 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would shut-off with the service engine soon warning light illuminated. The contact had taken the vehicle twice to the dealer where she purchased the vehicle and both times the dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. As the failure persisted, the vehicle was taken to Nissan of Hendersonville (1340 Spartanburg Hwy, Hendersonville, NC 28792) where they replaced the spark plugs and performed an oil change; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.
WHEN DRIVING FOR 40 MINUTES OR MORE, GOING 60 MPH OR HIGHER, CAR WILL LOSE SPEED AND EVENTUALLY STOP. NO LIGHTS WILL COME ON AND NO WARNING. GAS PEDAL WILL HIT FLOOR BUT THERE WILL BE NO ACCELERATION. SEEMS LIKE TURNING OFF THE CAR FOR 20 MINUTES OR MORE WILL REBOOT IT, BUT ONLY FOR A SHORT TIME PERIOD. THIS HAPPENS MOSTLY ON HIGHWAYS, NOT ON SMALLER ROADS AS STATED PREVIOUSLY YOU MUST BE DRIVING FOR AT LEAST 40 MINUTES OR MORE GOING AT LEAST 60 MPH OR HIGHER. WENT TO DEALERSHIP AND SAID IT WAS A BAD DRIVE SHIFT BUT UNKNOWN REASON AS TO WHAT CAUSED IT. NEVER HAD PROBLEMS BEFORE THIS.
RECENTLY MY 2011 NISSAN JUKE AFTER RUNNING ON INTERSTATE OR GOING ABOVE 55 FOR SHORT PERIOD OF TIME LOSES ALL POWER. I ALMOST WAS IN WRECK ON OCT 5 2019. I WENT FROM 70MPH TO 5. ONCE CAR RESTED I REROUTED ONTO SIDE ROSDS HOME. NOW I'M UNABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR ON INTERSTATE OR HIGHWAY . WHAT I HAVE READ IS SAFETY ISSUE WITH COOLING OF THE TRANSMISSION. ISSUES WITH TIMING CHAIN CREATING LOUD NOISE WHEN RUNNING
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 NISSAN JUKE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT FROM PARK INTO ANY OTHER GEAR. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD COME TO A COMPLETE STOP WITHOUT WARNING WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR FACILITY, BUT THE FAILURES COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURES CONTINUED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE REPAIR FACILITY. THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY, BUT THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE PROGRESSING FROM THE VEHICLE AFTER THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO ANOTHER REPAIR FACILITY WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TURBO CHARGER AND WATER PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 11V583000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) AS A POSSIBLE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.
I BROUGHT MY 2011 NISSAN JUKE IN FOR THE THE RECENT FUEL SENSOR RECALL ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT MY TIMING CHAIN NEEDS TO BE REPLACED AS WELL. IT APPEARS THAT I HAVE BEEN DRIVING MY CAR FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS WITH A BAD TIMING CHAIN. MY TIMING CHAIN ISSUE WAS APPARENTLY NOT PART OF THE 2011-2013 NISSIAN JUKE SERVICE CAMPAIGN DESPITE THIS BEING A 2011 NISSAN JUKE.
THE CARS WHEELS WILL BEGIN TO SKID, AND WHEN I'M DRIVING AT A LONG DISTANCE THE CAR WILL SLOW DOWN AND THEN TURN OFF.
THE TIMING BELT ALONG WITH OTHER ASSOCIATED CRANKS AND PULLEYS, ARE DAMAGED. THE CAR HAS BEEN KEPT CURRENT WITH ALL MAINTENANCE AND OUT OF THE BLUE THE TIMING CHAIN MECHANISM BEGINS TO FAIL. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE WITH ENGINE FAILURE LOOMING AROUND EVERY CORNER, AND THE REPAIR COSTS ON SOMETHING THAT SHOULD LAST IS SKY HIGH. WHEN THIS HAPPENED THE FIRST TIME, THE CAR WAS STATIONARY AND I NOTICED THE SOUND UPON START UP OF THE VEHICLE.
IT STALLS OUT IF 80 MPH IS REACHED AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE AGAIN UNLESS THE MOTOR IS TURNED OFF AND BACK ON. NOW IT IS MORE FREQUENT AND AT ANY SPEED. PLUS THE GAS CONSUMPTION IS HALF WHAT IT USUALLY WOULD BE.
RECALL 11V583000 DOES NOT INCLUDE MY VIN. ALL 2011 NISSAN JUKE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. MY TURBO CURRENTLY NEEDS REPLACED DUE TO A WORN BEARING. SEVERAL PEOPLE ONLINE HAVE TO REPLACE THEIR TURBOS IN THEIR 2011 JUKES AT A COST OF $2800.
EXPERIENCED SUDDEN LOSS OF PROPULSION AND CONTROL OF ACCELERATION WHILE TRAVELING ON 70 MPH ON FREEWAY. DIAGNOSTIC SUGGESTION IS AN ISSUE IDENTICAL TO THE RECALL AFFECTING NISSAN JUKES OF THIS YEAR IN RECALL CAMPAIGN #11V583000, IN WHICH A FAULTY VALVE CASING WELD BREAKS LOOSE INSIDE OF THE ENGINE. HOWEVER MY VEHICLE WAS NOT MANUFACTURED IN THE TIME PERIOD SPECIFIED IN THAT RECALL, AS IT WAS MANUFACTURED 8 WEEKS AFTER THE FINAL RECALL WINDOW DATE OF 5/12/11. CAR MAKES INTERMITTENT POPPING NOISE WHEN DRIVING, EXPERIENCES HIGH RPM WITHOUT ACCELERATION. CURRENT MILEAGE ON VEHICLE - 61,255 MILES.

THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO CONTINUE DRIVING BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE OVER 5 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE THROTTLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,000.
MY JUKE CAUGHT ON FIRE THIS MORNING! IT ONLY HAS 32,400 MILES ON IT AND I AM LEFT WITH NO CAR AND LITTLE INTEREST FROM NISSAN. I DID SMELL GAS BUT DID NOT THINK MUCH OF IT. MY SON IS ON DIALYSIS 3 DAYS A WEEK AND AT FIRST THE CORPORATION TOLD ME I WOULD BE REIMBURSED FOR A RENTAL CAR FOR THREE DAYS BUT BEFORE THE CALL CONCLUDED THEY CHANGED THEIR MIND TELLING ME IT WAS PENDING DECISION. THERE IS A RECALL ON THE 2011-2012 JUKE FUEL INJECTED ENGINE DUE TO FUEL MAY LEAK FROM THE PRESSURE SENSOR, INCREASING THE RISK OF A FIRE, THAT I WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF. NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011-2012 JUKE, INFINITI QX AND INFINITI M VEHICLES. THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSORS MAY NOT HAVE BEEN TIGHTENED TO THE CORRECT SPECIFICATION. AS A RESULT, THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR MAY LOOSEN DUE TO HEAT AND VIBRATION CAUSING FUEL TO LEAK. THEY TRIED TO TELL ME THAT MY CAR WAS ONE THAT HAD ALREADY BEEN FIXED....SO, THEN WHY AM I LEFT WALKING IN THE SUBZERO TEMPERATURES? *TR
