The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Murano. The contact stated that while closing the rear liftgate door, the front driver’s and passenger’s side air bags inadvertently deployed. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic where it remained pending a diagnostic test. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 100,230.
Not sure when it started bc I just purchased this vehicle a month ago. While driving one evening the head lights went off and I had to turn them off and back on. Now a few weeks later and after I've changed the bulbs and made sure the fuse wasn't blown it is doing it ALOT. I'm not sure if it is a wiring problem or if it is in the on and off switch.
Noticed severe negative camber on the rear wheels at ~225k miles. Marks Auto Svc, Rockford, IL confirmed the rear k-subframe had rusted all the way through from the inside-out. The frame had completely separated at two places on each side near the wheels - SEVERE SAFETEY HAZARD!!!!! 1. Website forums indicate many consumers conclude this problem is due to inferior design (hole in frame allows water to condensate/pool & rust the frame from the inside-out). 2. I conclude this part failed prior to the standard benchmark-life of automotive parts of 20-years. 3. A similar subframe design used on the 2002-05 Atimas & Maximas - produced a SERVICE CAMPAIGN BULLETIN - Ref. NTB05-114c.
Sub frame rusted so bad the sway bar detached from the sub frame nearly causing an accident and breaking the sway bar link in half.
While driving the vehicle will suddenly stop moving, loses acceleration ability & all the dashboard lights turn on. I had work done back in Feb 22 replacing cam shaft sensors. Now Dec 22 the same thing began happening again.
I’ve had my car for seven months now and since then it’s been problem I’ve spent way over money to fix problems both sides driver and passenger side axle popped twice my brake fluid keeps running out but mechanic can’t find leak my lights inside the car comes on and off one day it’s saying I need oil or my brake lights come on than another day they goes off and it always sounds like something dragging on the bottom of the car my kids was hurt because I was driving when the passenger side axle broke while I was driving in traffic

Rear subframe rusted to failure. Vehicle has 143,000 miles. Dealer service manager says the vehicle is unsafe to drive due to the posibility of the rear wheels detaching from the vehicle. This is the third vehicle with the same condition the service department has seen in the last two weeks
My light came on from my air bags and my horn doesn’t work and the air bags censure isn’t working
I bought the car not knowing that the seat bracket driver side was already broken the dealership would not do anything I looked into this and there are several thousands of other complaints on the same safety issue I'm only a hundred and fifteen pounds and I'm bouncing all over the place and I'm terrified I don't have the extra 2,000 $3,000 is going to cost to replace and this is a major thing it has happened several times this needs to be recalled now
The drivers seat frame is broken at the right rear lift arm. The seat frame is electrically adjustable. The seat wobbles causing the driver to move around at random. Loss of control of vehicle is possible as seat moves left and right as vehicle is being driven. As this just occurred within the past 24 hours it has not been inspected by anyone other than myself.
Vehicle shutdown while driving in the middle of the road while using a new battery. Fuel pump not reading fuel tank. Vehicle stalls specially whenever acceleration starts after stopping.
MY DRIVER DOOR WILL NOT OPEN AND I CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET IT OPEN. TENDS TO HAPPEN WHEN IT IS WARMER WEATHER OUTSIDE - ALL FOUR DOOR LOCKS WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY (UNLOCK OR LOCK) WITH KEYFOB. LIFE GATE WILL ALSO NOT UNLOCK OR LOCK CORRECTLY UNLESS PASSENGER SIDE DOORS ARE UNLOCKED. SAFETY CONCERN. HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR A COUPLE YEARS NOW BUT JUST FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS WEBSITE.
WHEN I'M IDOL AT A STOP SIGH OR RED LIGHT THEN TRY TO ACCELERATE, I HAVE TO PRESS THE PEDAL DOWN SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE THE CAR WILL MOVE. YESTERDAY, WHEN I PRESS THE PEDAL, IT STICKS AND ACCELERATES FAST. IT SEEMS LIKE IT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO RUN INTO TRAFFIC OR INTO ANOTHER CAR. I HAD THIS CHECK AT THE DEALERSHIP BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM BUT THERE IS A PROBLEM. I WILL TAKE IT BACK TO HAVE IT CHECKED AGAIN.
GOT INTO THE VEHICAL. WHILE ADJUSTING THE SEAT AND LEANING BACK, THE SEAT SLUMPED BACK AND TO THE LEFT. IT WOBBLES NOW. I FEEL IT IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE BECAUSE THE SEAT IS NOT SOLID AND SHIFTS AROUND AS I DRIVE. MY WIFE IS DISABLED AND I AM A DISABLED MARINE COMBAT VETERAN. THE LEFT SIDE OF THE DRIVERS' SIDE SEAT STARTED MOVING UP AND DOWN - THE BRACKET THAT ATTACHED IT TO THE FLOOR OF THE CAR SNAPPED SO THE LEFT SIDE BOUNCES UP AND DOWN. THIS IS PRIMARILY MY SONS CAR AND IT SEEMS LIKE A SAFETY ISSUE FOR ME - MOVING WHILE DRIVING, AND LESS STABLE IN AN ACCIDENT. AIRBAG LIGHT UP
HI JUST DISCOVERED MY 2005 MURANO HAS TOTAL RUST ON SUBFRAME TO THE POINT CAR UNSAFE TO DRIVE. ARE THERE ANY RECALLS FOR REPAIRS OR THIS OCCURRING FREQUENTLY. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD. IF IT WASN'T FOR MY MECHANIC FRIEND SOMETHING BAD COULD HAVE HAPPENED OR I COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY ON DRY PAVEMENT AND WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS NOTICE CAR SHIFTING QUITE A BIT TO THE POINT OF ALMOST LOSING CONTROL. WHEN I PARKED MY CAR NOTICED ONE OF MY REAR TIRES WAS SLANTED INWARD. MY MECHANIC SAW IT AND SAID NOT TO DRIVE IT.
THE REAR SUB FRAME IS RUSTED OUT AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS ON THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE SUB FRAME RUSTING OUT ON THESE MURANO MODELS AND MAKING THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE. WHY WAS THIS ISSUE NEVER ADDRESSED WITH A RECALL WHEN THE SUB FRAME IS OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE WITH RUSTING OUT. NISSAN SHOULD REPLACE THESE DEFECTIVE PARTS AT THEIR EXPENSE, NOT MINE....
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY MY CAR WAS DOING 2 RPM EVEN WHEN I PRESSED MY GAS PEDTAL DOWN TO THE FLOOR IT WOULDN'T REV UP WHICH OLNY CAUSE THE CAR THE CAR TO DO 10MPH ONCED IT REACHED 15MPH IT JUST SHUT OFF AS I WAS DRVING ON THE HIGHWAY THANK GOD IT WAS KIND OF LATE SO I WAS ABLE TO STEER MY CAR ON THE SHOULDER I WAITED A GOOD 10 TO 15 MINUTES THEN IT STARTED BACK UP STILL HAVING ROUGH IDLE PROBLEMS THE NEXT DAY TOOK IT TO THE SHOP AND TROUBLE SHOOTING CODES POPPED UP REGARDING BOTH O2 SENSORS BEING REPLACED, I FIXED THE PROBLEM THEN A MONTH LATER MY CAR STARTED JERKING AS I DRIVE TOOK IT BACK TO MY MECHANIC THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR WENT BAD SO I ENDED UP REPLACING THAT SENOR AS WELL WHICH NOW MY CAR ONLY REACHES A MAXIUM OF 55MPH I DON'T DRIVE MY CAR ON THE HIGHWAY DUE TO MY CAR STILL HAVING IDLE ISSUES AND NOW I NOTICE MY CAR BURNS OIL REALLY FAST AND MY OLI LIGHT INDICATOR DON'T POP UP ON THE DASH BOARD LIKE IT SUPPOSE TO THE ONLY WAY I KNOW MY CAR NEEDS OIL NOW IS WHEN I HEAR LIKE A FAN NOISE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD, NISSAN YOU GUYS REALLY NEED TO TAKE THIS CAR OFF THE MARKET AS I HAVE READ IM NOT THE ONLY DRIVER HAVING THIS ISSUE WITH THIS SVU ITS RASING SAFETY CONCERNS THEIR ARE 960 COMPLAINTS!!! 2005 MURANO PURCHASED 6 YRS AGO HAS 67,000 MI ON IT. HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM PREVIOUSLY BUT HAS STARTED BURNING OIL. HAVE KEPT UP ON REGULAR MAINTENANCE BUT WAS LAX THIS TIME. CAR WENT 5,000 MI BEFORE HAVING A PROBLEM WITH SMOKE FROM EXHAUST AND PINGING NOISE. TOOK TO MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD THAT THE OIL WAS 3 1/2 QTS LOW. MY MECHANIC THINKS I MIGHT NEED TO REBUILD THE ENGINE OR BUY NEW. HE WILL CHECK IT IN A WEEK TO SEE IF IT'S STILL BURNING OIL. HE CHANGED THE OIL AND WANTS TO MONITOR IT BEFORE WE MAKE THE DECISION TO DO ADDITIONAL WORK. I NEVER HAD ANY INDICATION THAT IT WAS LOW ON OIL. MY FAULT FOR NOT CHECKING IT BUT WOULD THINK I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN AN INDICATOR LIGHT. ANYONE ELSE BURNING THRU OIL LIKE THIS?

BATTERY AND BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON AT THE SAME TIME WHILE DRIVING DOWN A MAIN STREET, LIGHT WILL TURN ON AND OFF. AFTER DRIVING FOR AROUND AN HOUR CAR TAKES AROUND 30 SECONDS TO ACTUALLY GO WHEN PRESSING ON GAS.

TAKATA RECALL, I CHANGED ALL THEE COIL PACKS, ALTERNATOR, STARTER, BATTERIES, OIL CHANGE ON TIME BUT THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD NEVER GO OFF. THE CAR HAS STALLED ON ME SEVERAL TIMES ALMOST CAUSING ACCIDENTS (SEVERAL TIMES). MY CAR WOULD SMOKE SOOO BAD WHEN I STOP AND THAT WAS BECAUSE THE MOTOR KEPT DUMPING OIL IN 5HE THROTTLE. I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR BECAUSE IT MAY CATCH ON FIRE DUE TO THE EXTREME OIL LEAK.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE STREET OR HIGHWAY ABS LIGHT COMES ON THEN VEHICLE STALLS AND ROLLS AT ABOUT 2 MPH AND THE CAR DOESN'T RESPOND WHEN I PRESS THE GAS PEDAL. USUALLY THE ABS LIGHT TURNS OFF THEN I CAN DRIVE NORMALLY. THE LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED THE CAR TURNED OFF I HAD TO PUSH IT OUT OF THE STREET AND IT WOULDN'T START UP FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS, THEN THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN AND THEN IT STALLS WITH NO RESPONSE WHEN PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL. THIS HAS HAPPENED OVER 10 TIMES EVEN AFTER REPLACING THE BRAKES AND CHECKING ALL THE SENSORS, CHECKING THE BATTERY AND ALL OF THE CONNECTIONS AND FLUIDS.
TAKAYUKI ENGINE MALFUNCTIONS WHILE IN MOTION ENGINES LIGHT BLINKING

LATER, AFTER PARKING THE VEHICLE, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE BATTERY WAS DRAINED. THE BATTERY WAS RECHARGED AND THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURES WERE NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER AND LOCAL DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 134,000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 NISSAN MURANO. WHILE DRIVING 50 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LOSE POWER. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO EXCEED 5 MPH. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND CHARGE WARNING INDICATORS WERE ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO PARK THE VEHICLE AT A NEARBY PARKING LOT. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE BATTERY AND DROVE HOME; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE CONTINUED SHORTLY AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY. THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V319000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ALTERNATOR VOLTAGE WAS LOW. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
BACK IN APRIL MY MURANO WOULD TURN OFF WHETHER I WAS ACCELERATING OR JUST SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT, THE BRAKE LIGHT AND BATTERY LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND VEHICLE WOULDNT START BACK UP, ENDED UP HAVING IT TOWED 3 DIFFERENT TIMES TO MECHANIC WHO COULDNT FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG BECAUSE IT WASNT SHOWING ANY CODES SO FROM THERE HAD IT TOWED TO NEWTON NISSAN WHERE IT TOOK THEM 10 DAYS TO DIAGNOSE IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR (REPLACED BATTERY FIRST BUT THAT DIDNT WORK)ENDED UP GETTING THE NISSAN ALTERNATOR VERSUS AFTERMARKET FOR THE WARRANTY, GET IT BACK EVERYTHING IS FINE, NOW IN AUGUST ALTERNATOR FAILS OUT AGAIN, BACK TO NEWTON NISSAN WE GO, THE REPLACE "ALTERNATOR" AND WHEN I GET IT BACK POWER STEERING ISNT WORKING SO AFTER THE FIXED THAT EVERYTHING WAS FINE UNTIL IT STARTED SHUTTING OFF ON ME AGAIN LIKE THE VERY FIRST TIME. MEANWHILE IVE HAD TO PAY OVER $1000 FOR THE ALTERNATOR WORK WHICH WAS RECALLED HOWEVER MY VIN DIDNT FALL UNDER THE RECALL. ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND HOOD OF CAR ARE ALSO SO HOT YOU CANT TOUCH THEM EVEN AFTER JUST DRIVING 1 MILE IN 70 DEGREEE WEATHER HOWEVER THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE ISNT RUNNING HIGH. NOW THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS FLASHING ON AND OFF UPON STARTING. I TRIED CYCLING THE ENGINE NURMEROUS TIMES BUT THE LIGHT IS STILL ON. NISSAN SAID THEY WILL HAVE TO REPLACE WHOLE UNIT FOR $5000 BECAUSE THEY CANT PIN POINT AIRBAG ISSUE. AIRBAG ISSUE ISNT FIXED AND NOBODY CAN TELL ME IF I HAVE A WORKING AIR BAG OR NOT. IM NOT SURE IF I NEED TO CONTACT AN ATTORNEY BECAUSE IM NOW CONCERNED ABOUT THE SAFETY OF MY 4 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WHILE IN THE VEHICLE.
LAST WEEK WAS ALMOST IN AN ACCIDENT WHEN MY CAR COMPLETELY TURNED OFF WHILE WAITING AT A LIGHT AT NIGHT. I WAS ALMOST HIT SEVERAL TIMES. LAST YEAR I HAD THE ALTERNATOR REPLACED. THIS TIME I HAD THE CAM SHIFT SENSORS REPLACED. GUESS WHAT? IT HAPPENED ALL OVER AGAIN IN ONE WEEK. PEOPLE ARE GOING TO DIE. MY VEHICLE LOST ITS ABILITY TO EVEN HAVE ITS HAZARD BUTTONS ON. MY VEHICLE IS UNDER NO RECALL. HOW CAN THIS COMPANY GET AWAY WITH THIS? CAN THEY AT LEAST TELL US WHAT IS WRONG, SO THAT WE CAN FIX IT?
I WAS AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WAITING FOR IT TO TURN GREEN. WHEN I STEPPED ON THE GAS, I REALIZED THAT IT HAD TURNED OFF. TRIED TO RE-START. FLASHED DASH SIGNS AND THEN NOTHING NOT EVEN A CLICK. I WAS ON A VERY BUSY STREET AT NIGHT IN THE RAIN. MY HAZARD BUTTON LASTED FOR 5 MINUTES AND THEN IT WENT OUT. I THOUGHT MY CAR WAS GOING TO BE HIT. A MAN ACROSS THE STREET PULLED ME OUT OF HARMS WAY. WITH THE POLICE DIRECTING TRAFFIC, MY SON AND SEVERAL PEOPLE THAT STOPPED, HELPED TO PUSH THE CAR TO SAFETY. MY CAR WAS ABLE TO BE JUMPED AND DRIVEN HOME. I WILL NOT DRIVE IT UNTIL I KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT. L AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND IT HAS 98,000 MILES ON IT. IT LOOKS LIKE THE 2005 HAS A RECALL ON THE ALTERNATOR, BUT I NEVER GOT THAT DONE. I STILL HAVE NOT HAD IT LOOKED AT. LOOKING AT THE COMPLAINT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE SEVERAL ALTERNATORS REPLACED AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL NOT FIXED. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY THE VEHICLE WOULD TURN OFF WITH NO WARNING? .
THE DRIVER SEAT OF MY MURANO MOVE BACK WHEN I PRESS THE GAS AND WHEN I PRESS THE BRAKE IT MOVES FORWARD AND PUSHES ME UP THE GUY I BOUGHT MY CAR FROM TOLD ME THAT MOST OF THE MURANOS HAD RECALLS ON THEIR SEAT BC OF THIS REASON. IT MESSES ME UP WHEN BRAKE AND PRESSING GAS BC I'M MOVING.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY ON OUR WAY TO PICK UP DAUGHTER WHO LIVES 1.5 HOURS AWAY MY 2005 NISSAN MURANO WOULD NOT STOP WHEN I STEPPED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL. I HAD TO PULL THE CAR OVER AND LET IT STOP TO PUT IT IN PARK. I THEN CALLED A TOW TRUCK AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE MECHANIC. I HAD TO GET REAR BRAKE PADS AND REAR BRAKE ROTORS AS WELL AS THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE REAR CALIPER. THIS ALL COST ME $1,700 AS WELL AS A WEEKEND WITH MY GRANDCHILD! THERE HAD NOT BEEN ANY WARNING SIGNS THAT I NEEDED NEW BRAKES, I HAD ONLY PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN NOVEMBER 2018. I PAID 5,500 DOLLARS FOR THE VEHICLE AND THUS FAR HAVE HAD TO PUT ALMOST 4,000 DOLLARS INTO REPAIRS AND TOW TRUCKS! NOW I WENT OUT TO MY CAR AND AS I STARTED TO BACK OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY AS I STEPPED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL IT IS VERY SQUISHY AND NOW IS GOING TO THE FLOOR!. I GOT OUT OF MY VEHICLE AND MY DRIVEWAY IS COVERED IN BRAKE FLUID!!! MY MASTER CYLINDER IS OBVIOUSLY NOW NEEDING TO BE REPLACED! I PUT IN A BOTTLE OF BRAKE FLUID HOPING TO DRIVE IT TO THE SHOP AND I CAN SEE IT DRIPPING OUT OF MY VEHICLE ALREADY WITHOUT EVEN STEPPING ON THE BRAKES! I AM GOING TO HAVE TO AGAIN CALL A FLAT BED TOW TRUCK TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TAKEN TO THE GARAGE TO BE REPAIRED. I AM NOT SURE YET BUT I AM GUESSTIMATING THIS WILL COST ME ANOTHER 1200 DOLLARS. NOT TO MENTION I WAS TOLD THAT I NEED TO REPLACE THE RACKNPINION????? 2005 NISSAN MURANO SEEMS TO BE THE WORST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE IN MY LIFE, AND I CAN ONLY DESCRIBE IT AS A DEATH TRAP. OH ONE LAST THING, THE DAY I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED SEVERAL TIMES ON THE WAY HOME. I GOT HOME AND FOUND OUT THAT I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO BACK LIGHTS THAT WORKED. TL* THE CONSUMER OWNS A 2005 NISSAN MURANO. ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS, WHILE DRIVING, SEVERAL UNKNOWN WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED, WHICH WAS STILL PENDING. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 05V319000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS FLASHING. I READ ON LINE THAT THIS IS VERY COMMON AND HAS BEEN REPORTED AS A FAULTY SWITCH. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE THIS REPAIRED FOR SAFETY REASONS. AS I UNDERSTAND IT NISSAN IS AWARE. PLEASE ADVISE.
DRIVER SEAT COLLAPSED ON REAR WHILE DRIVING. THE BASE FRAME IS A SQUARE THAT HAS A HORIZONTAL BAR ON THE BACK AND THAT BROKE ON THE LEFT REAR SIDE THAT RESULTED IN DIPPING ON THAT SIDE WHEN SEATED AND DRIVING. THIS IS UNSAFE !! NO REASON ANY METAL THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN WELDED SHOULD BRAKE OFF
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE 2005 MURANO SLOWED DOWN, I PRESSED MORE FIRMLY ON THE GAS AND IT DID NOTHING. I PULLED ONTO THE SHOULDER OF THE HIGHWAY AND THE CAR HAD SHUT OFF COMPLETELY. I TRIED RESTARTING THE MURANO SEVERAL TIMES WITH NO LUCK. I HAD TO CALL FOR A FLAT BED TOW TRUCK WHICH TOOK 5 PLUS HOURS OF ME SITTING IN THE FREEZING COLD WITH NO POWER IN MY CAR IN THE DEAD OF WINTER. VEHICLE WAS TOWED HOME AND I WAS TOLD I NEEDED A NEW BATTERY. I WENT TO PEP BOYS AND PURCHASED A BRAND NEW BATTERY AND HAD PEP BOYS INSTALL IT FOR ME. THE NEXT NIGHT AS I WAS DRIVING MY FIANCE TO HIS HOUSE THE 2005 MURANO AGAIN LOST MOMENTUM AND WITHIN SECONDS SHUT DOWN. AND AGAIN I COULD NOT TURN THE VEHICLE BACK ON. I HAD TO CALL FOR ANOTHER FLAT BED TOW TRUCK AND WAIT LUCKILY ONLY 3 HOURS THIS TIME FOR THEM TO SHOW UP. I HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO MY MECHANIC WHO REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR IN THE VEHICLE AND ANOTHER NEW BATTERY. THAT WAS IN NOVEMBER OF 2018, IT IS NOW FEBUARY 2019 AND I HAVE NOT HAD ANY ELECTRICAL ISSUES SINCE. WHY IS THIS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL THAT THERE WAS FOR THE 2005 NISSAN MURANO? I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THEY REFUSE TO COVER THE COST WHEN THEY HAD TO RECALL HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF THIS CAR FOR THIS ISSUE AND YET MINE WAS NOT INCLUDED?????
TAKARA RECALL : WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION THE ENGINE WILL SHUT OFF AT RANDOM. WHEN THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF THE CAR IS PULLED ALONG THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, AND WILL START AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON MULTIPLE, ALMOST CAUSING SERIOUS CRASHES.
SUBFRAME BROKE BETWEEN THE REAR WHEELS WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREET. MECHANIC INSPECTED IT AND SUBFRAME IS RUSTED FROM INSIDE OUT. MILEAGE ON THE CAR IS 150,000 MILES AND I AM THE FIRST OWNER THAT TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF THE CAR, FROM KEEPING IT IN MY GARAGE, TO REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND CAR WASHING TO PREVENT RUST. CAR IS INOPERABLE WAITING FOR THE PART TO COME IN FOR REPLACEMENT FOR 6 DAYS. NISSAN HAD A RECALL ON THIS MODEL FOR 2003-2007 YEAR OF MANUFACTURING, HOWEVER I HAD NOT RECEIVED ANY NOTICE.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO CALL NHTSA AND FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 149,000.
