I was told at 58,000 miles that the front control arms where cracking and need to be replaced. I requested Goodwill assistance and was denied by NMAC. I searched this problem and found that Nissans have a history of recalls and complaints of control arms needing early replacement due to poor quality parts.
1. right front lower control arm broke yes available for inspection 2. caused my vehicle to pulled to the right and could not steer straight and caused collision into parked car. 3. no not yet 4. no not yet 5. no
Started noticing the difference with the vehicle around 7,000 miles while driving at different speeds traveling to and from work. it did get worse over time and at 17,000 miles it was at the dealer and they stated that no issues were found or present. Vehicle will have excessive sway / bounce and will dip to one side depending what imperfections you will drive over during the trip. I have no idea how they test the vehicles at the dealer as there is an issue with it when stated to the personnel but at the end it seems to be nothing wrong. Does it take an accident to happen with severe injuries nowadays to have them take something serious. As a service technician my self by bouncing the rear bumper downwards it seems very bouncy, indicating bad shocks. If dealer's technician cant seem to see this then i have no words beyond the quality of service people get once they purchase the vehicles.
