GAS LIGHT ON CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON DUE TO FULE SENSOR LEVEL
THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN HAVING TRANSMISSION ISSUES RECENTLY. WHEN ACCELERATING THE TRANSMISSION CAUSES THE CAR TO STOP AND THEN TO JERK FORWARD AND SHUDDER. WHEN REVERSING THIS HAS ALSO BECOME AN ISSUE. THIS IS EXTREMELY CONCERNING, ESPECIALLY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO REACH THE SPEED LIMIT ON A HIGHWAY. EVEN ENTERING NORMAL STREETS IS A CAUSE FOR CONCERN SINCE THE CAR WILL STOP AND SHUDDER SUDDENLY. BECAUSE OF TRANSMISSION CONCERNS, I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BE SERVICED AND WAS TOLD THE TRANSMISSION WAS BAD BUT WAS OUT OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY THAT NISSAN PROVIDED AS A SETTLEMENT IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION ISSUE WHICH APPEARS TO BE A SYSTEMIC PROBLEM WITH NISSAN'S CVT TRANSMISSION SYSTEM.
I WAS MERGING ONTO THE INTERSTATE WHEN THE TRANSMISSION STOP PULLING RIGHT WHEN I GOT INTO TRAFFIC. THE CAR BEGAN TO JERK AND WOULD NOT MOVE ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE A ACCIDENT BECAUSE I WAS NOT ABLE TO GET ANY SPEED AFTER MERGING INTO TRAFFIC. I WAS ABLE TO PUT MY BLINKER ON AN MERGE TO THE SHOULDER AND HAD TO RENT A UHAUL TRAILER TO PULL THE CAR HOME. MY CAR ONLY HAVE 132,000 MILES.
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING DOWN A ROAD GOING 50 MPH WHEN THE TRANSMISSION STARTED SHIPPING AND MINUTES LATER THE CAR STARTED JERKING HEAVILY AND LOST POWER WHILE DRIVING I ONLY HAVE AROUND 130K MILES AND THE CVT TRANSMISSION WENT FROM PERFECTLY FINE TO SPEED WORKING IN A MATTER OF MINUTES
MY CAR STARTED JERKING AND ALL SUDDEN WHEN DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY IT WAS LIKE LOOSING ITS POWER AND THEN IT MADE A LOUD JERK ALSO NO WARNINGS LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR DEALER PUT A NEW TRANSMISSION IN ABOUT 4 YEARS AGO
MY TRANSMISSION JUST GAVE OUT ON ME
TRANSMISSION STARTED FAILING, OUT OF NISSAN'S CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT EXTENSION TO 84,000 MILES AS MY CAR HAD 95,000 MILES ON IT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR BRAND NEW AND MAINTAINED IT FOR MY DAUGHTER TO DRIVE AND WAS HOPING IT WOULD LAST HER THROUGH COLLEGE. I DROVE IT LAST FRIDAY, TRADED IT IN ON SUNDAY AS COST TO REPAIR EXCEEDED THE VALUE OF THE CAR. WAS NOT INFORMED OF RECALL WHICH IS ODD AS ONLY OWNER OF CAR BUT REGARDLESS THE VEHICLE NOT SAFE DUE TO KNOWN ISSUES OF CVT DRIVETRAIN. CAR WOULD JUMP, HESITATE, NO POWER THEN IT WOULD CATCH AND LUNGE WHEN GAS APPLIED. GOING DOWNHILL SEEMED TO CAUSE LOSS OF POWER AND WOULD ACTUALLY SLOW CAR DOWN CAUSING ME TO HAVE TO ACCELERATE TO GO DOWNHILL AND THUS PULL OFF ROAD TO STOP AND LET THE CAR SEEM TO REST PRIOR TO INTERSTATE DRIVING. THANKFUL WEATHER NOT BAD WHEN THIS HAPPENED OR THAT MY DAUGHTER NOT IN A WRECK BECAUSE OF THIS KNOWN ISSUE. WILL BOYCOTT NISSAN PRODUCTS REST OF MY LIFE. SPOKE WITH NISSAN REP WHO INFORMED ME NOTHING CAN BE DONE BY NISSAN TO HELP ME. I HELPED MYSELF AND BOUGHT A HONDA.
WHEN THE CAR IS STOPPED AND IN "PARK" (THE ENGINE MAY BE RUNNING OR OFF AND YOU GO TO START IT UP), THE CAR WILL NOT COME OUT OF "PARK". THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY. TO GET THE CAR OUT OF "PARK", PER THE OWNER'S MANUAL, THERE IS AN INSET HALF-CIRCLE (8MM) PLASTIC PIECE LABELED "SHIFT LOCK" NEXT TO THE SHIFTER THAT HAS TO BE PRIED OFF WITH AN APPROPRIATELY SIZED TOOL AND THEN AN APPROPRIATELY SIZED TOOL HAS TO BE INSERTED INTO THE SLOT AND PRESSED DOWN WHILE THE SHIFTER IS SIMULTANEOUSLY MOVED OUT OF "PARK" (NOTE: YOU NEED TO USE BOTH HANDS TO ACCOMPLISH THIS PLUS OBTAIN THE NECESSARY TOOLS). THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS STOPPED AND IN "PARK" - WHILE WAITING TO PICK SOMEONE UP, STOPPING TO DROP SOMEONE OFF, IN A TRAFFIC JAM; AT A SAFETY CHECK ON A HIGHWAY, PARKED IN A LOT, PARKED IN A GARAGE, ETC. THIS PROBLEM OF THE SHIFTER STUCK IN "PARK" ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE CAR IS NOT IN MOTION AND THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN PLACED IN THE "PARK" POSITION - THE ENGINE CAN BE EITHER ON OR OFF AND YOU GO TO START THE CAR.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that the vehicle experienced unintended acceleration. The contact had to depress the brake pedal aggressively and the vehicle would lurch forward. The failure was intermittent. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer who was unable to identify the cause of the failure. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated the failure recurred at various speeds. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 85,000.
CAR HAS 103000 MILES. BOUGHT USED AND AFTER HAD NISSAN SERVICE CAMPAIGNS COMPLETED AND STATING CAR IN GOOD SHAPE. THEN CAR BEGAN HIGH REVVVING BEFORE SHIFTING, OCCASIONAL SHUDDER WHEN SHIFTING TO DRIVE OR REVERSE, THEN ENTERS LOW MODE WITH NO ACCELERATION. TOOK TO NISSAN DEALER AND THEY SAID NEEDS NEW TRANSMISSION. CONTACTED NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND FILED A COMPLAINT. THEY DENIED THE CLAIM ONLY STATING CAR IS OUT OF WARRANTY, NO OFFER TO AT LEAST SHARE THE COST. THIS CLEARLY SHOULD BE A FULL TRANSMISSION RECALL. DO NOT BUY A CAR WITH A CVT!
I HAVE A 2013 NISSAN SENTRA, WHICH I HAVE HAD CONTINUOUS PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION. A YEAR OR TWO AGO, IT LOCKED UP AND LEFT ME STRANDED. WHEN I TOWED IT IN, AND THEY REPLACED THE ENTIRE SHIFTER. THEY ALSO DID AN "ADJUSTMENT" TO THE TRANSMISSION. THIS CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO DRIVE POORLY. IT EITHER WOULD HAVE A LAG WHEN ACCELERATING, OR WOULD RAPIDLY ACCELERATE. I CALLED TO COMPLAIN AFTER THE ADJUSTMENT. THE DEALER TOLD ME IT WAS AND ADJUSTMENT NISSAN REQUIRED IN ORDER KEEP THE TRANSMISSION FROM GOING OUT. SO I PUT UP WITH IT. UNFORTUNATELY, I WAS NOT ABLE TO USE THE CAR TO TEACH MY KIDS TO DRIVE BECAUSE OF THE TRANSMISSION ADJUSTMENT. ONCE IT ACCELERATED SO INSTANTLY THAT MY DAUGHTER ALMOST RAN THROUGH THE GARAGE. I TALKED TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THE ADJUSTMENT WAS NEEDED AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO. NOW GUESS WHAT, THE TRANSMISSION IS GOING OUT. IT ONLY HAS AROUND A 105000 MILES. IT STARTS JERKING AND STAYS STUCK IN A LOW GREAR. ALMSOT DIED ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAVE HAD IT SERVICED PROPERLY AND METICULOUSLY. I HAVE PUT UP WITH THE TRANS ADJUSTMENT. NOW THE DEALER (RIKART NISSAN) WANTS 4200.00 TO FIX IT. AFTER SOME RESEARCH, I HAVE NOTICED THERE ARE TONS OF CLASS ACTION SUITS, ETC. THEY SAY THEY WILL NOT REPAIR OR REBUILD IT. THEY SAY IT IS SUCH A TERRIBLE TRANSMISSION THEY WILL ONLY REPLACE THE WHOLE THING.
TRANSMISSION HAS JUDDER, LOSS OF POWER NO MATTER IF ON A STRAIGHTWAY OR CLIMBING A HILL WHICH CREATES A SAFETY ISSUE. THIS IS NOW A CONSTANT ISSUE.
THE DASHBOARD WORKS SOMETIMES ( LITTLE SCREEN) . THE SEATSEALTS GET STUCK EVERYTIME I TRY TO USE THEM.

SOMETIMES THE SHIFT KNOB WILL LOCK AND WILL NOT MOVE FROM THE PARK POSITION. I WAS IN THE PARKING LOT AND THE SHIFT WAS STUCK FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN ONE COULD PUT IT INTO 'DRIVE'.

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE DEALER HAD YET TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN NOTIFIED VIA LETTER HOWEVER, THE CONTACT HAD YET TO RECEIVE A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 112,807.*DT*JB
MY TRANSMISSION HAS JUST STOPPED WORKING I LOST POWER AND WAS NOT ABLE TO DRIVE AND I HAD TO PULL OFF THE ROAD AND RESTARTED MY CAR AND DROVE HOME. I BROUGHT IT TO THE TRANSMISSION SHOP AND WAS TOLD MY CVT HAS TO BE REPLACED AT $4,700 AND THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT THAT COVERS TO 84,000 MILES BUT MY CAR IS NOW AT 94,000 BUT I THINK MY TRANSMISSION SHOULD BE FIXED FOR FREE
THE CAR ACCELERATES SLOWER. ON ECO MODE, THE CAR GETS STUCK ON A GEAR; SOMETIMES IT WILL GET STUCK ON THE SECOND OR THIRD GEAR. FOR EXAMPLE, TODAY IT REVVED UP TO 5000 RPM AS I WAS MERGING ONTO THE FREEWAY AND I HAD TO PULL OVER BECAUSE IT WAS STUCK ON GEAR 3.
WHEN DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30MPH, I PUSHED MY BRAKE PEDAL TO SLOW FOR MY NEXT TURN. THE PEDAL WAS SLIGHTLY INEFFECTIVE, MEANING THE PRESSURE IN THE PEDAL WAS RELEASED AND THE BRAKE DID NOT HALT MY CAR IN A SAFE TIMEFRAME. I HAD TO RELEASE AND PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL AGAIN TO FEEL PRESSURE IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM, AND WAS ABLE TO SLOW JUST IN TIME TO MAKE MY NEXT TURN. THIS WAS DEFINITELY SCARY AS I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED BRAKE FAILURE BEFORE.
FIRST TIME WAS IN SAN MARCOS ON I-10 FREEWAY WHILE ON THE WAY TO WORK WHILE IN THE MIDDLE LANE THE RPM SHOT UP THEN BACK DOWN AND THE CAR SLOWED DOWN REAL FAST TO ABOUT 20 TO 25 MPH AND WITH NO BREAK LIGHTS SHOWING ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED, LUCKILY WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF WITH OUT AN ACCIDENT, AND AFTER A COUPLE OF MINUTES STARTED AND DROVE NORMAL. AFTER A COUPLE OF WEEK COMING HOME DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS AND AGAIN ON THE FREEWAY IT HAPPENED AGAIN. TOWED IT TO GUNN NISSAN IN SAN ANTONIO TX AND FILED A COMPLAINT WITH NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS AND THEY DID NOTHING, SO THE DEALERSHIP CHARGED ME $1100 TO FIX IT, SO I PAYED EVEN THO NISSAN SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE REPAIRS. 6 DAYS AFTER IT WAS SO CALLED FIXED AND AGAIN ON THE FREEWAY RPM SHOT UP THE CAR SLOWED TO 20 TO 25 PMH AND ALMOST REAR END BECAUSE NO BREAK LIGHTS CAME ON. RETURNED IT TO THE SAME DEALERSHIP AND NOW THEY SAY IT NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION $4000. MILEAGE THE FIRST ABOUT 82,000, AND THE LAST TIME 85,500 NISSAN NEW EXTENDED WARRANTY 7 YEARS OR 84,000 MILES AND IN CALIFORNIA 10 YEARS OR 120,000 MILES WHY ONLY CALIFORNIA. THE ISSUE WITH NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSIONS ARE VERY SERIOUS AND COULD HAVE COSTED MY STEPDAUGHTER HER LIVE. I PAYED TO HAVE IT REPAIRED AND 6 DAYS LATER THEY WANT ME TO PAY FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,000.
MY TRANSMISSION FAILED WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN A MAIN ROAD. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER TWICE BEFORE. THE FIRST TIME THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO KEEP DRIVING IT UNTIL IT GOT WORSE. THE SECOND TIME THEY SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH IT. I BROUGHT IT TO A TRANSMISSION EXPERT 5 DAYS LATER WHO TOOK PICTURES AS PROOF THAT IT WAS FAILING. THE NEXT DAY IS WHEN IT BROKE DOWN. NISSAN IS PRODUCING CARS WITH FAULTY TRANSMISSIONS AND THEN MAKING THEIR CUSTOMERS PAY FOR IT. THIS CVT TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. PEOPLE'S LIVES ARE IN DANGER. *TR
VEHICLE SUDDENLY JUST DIED AS WIFE WAS MAKING A LEFT ON TO BUSY HIGHWAY FOUND OUT CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT JUST EXPIRED IN APRIL THIS THING SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED FOR PUTTING LIVES IN DANGER !! DEALERSHIP STILL ALLOWED TO SELL EVEN THOUGH THEY WILL NOT FIX ISSUE SINCE CALL ACTION LAW SUIT EXPIRED DO NOT BUY !!!
The transmission works fine until the car reaches 50-55 mph and reaches higher operating temperatures, then the car becomes "limp". The transmission becomes very weak. The cars tachometer, on the dashboard, will go from almost 4,000 rpms down to less than 1,000 rpms. This happens in traffic, while driving along at 55 mph it will only go about 20 or less mph. When the car is driven to the roadside and turned off, smoke will come from under the hood and around the transmission, like it's been burning transmission fluid that has dripped all over the transmission body. After the transmission has cooled down for at least 30 minutes or so, it may resume being driven if driven slower, like 40 mph or less. Also, when climbing any percentage of a grade, the car starts losing power and going slower while proceeding up the grade.
I AM HAVING IGNITION PROBLEMS. SOME TIMES THE CAR CRANK, SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T. MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RAIRDON'S NISSAN OF AUBURN LOCATED AT 713 35TH ST NE, AUBURN, WA 98002, WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE CVT TRANSMISSION WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WHEN MY CAR STOPPED RUNNING I GOT REALLY SCARED BECAUSE I DID NOT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON I HAD MY SMALLER SIBLINGS WITH ME THAT DAY AND THOUGHT THE WORST WHEN THE TOWING TRUCK PICKED MY CAR UP AND I TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE TRANSMISSION AND THAT THESE NISSAN 2013 SENTRAS WERE KNOWN TO HAVE THIS PROBLEMS AND THAT I WAS NOT THE FIRST IN THIS PAST MONTHS. *TR
WE ARE DEALING WITH TRANSMISSION FAILURE AFTER ONLY HAVING THE CAR FOR 4 YEARS. RPM RUMS UP WHEN GAS IS PRESSED, LEAKING OIL, CAR WON'T STAY COOL. IN MOTION, BOTH ON CITY STREET AND HIGHWAY. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 30 TO 45 MPH, THE RPM REVVED UP TO 7,000 HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO EXCEED 45 MPH. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO RUSTY WALLACE NISSAN LOCATED AT 4515 CLINTON HWY, KNOXVILLE, TN 37912, WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE, AND A CASE WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 100,400.
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON SO I TOOK MY 2013 NISSAN SENTRA (54,000 MILES) TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT IT NEW FOR DIAGNOSIS. WAS ADVISED FUEL LEVEL SENSOR CODE NOT BEING READ CORRECTLY SO FUEL PUMP NEEDS REPLACED. ESTIMATE $671 AND MY DIAGNOSIS WAS $145. I CALLED NISSAN BECAUSE THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL, BUT NOT FOR MY VIN. THE FUEL PUMP SHOULD LAST 125,000 MILES! VERY DISSAPPOINTED WITH NISSAN, THEY SAID SINCE IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY THEY COULD NOT OFFER ANYTHING. NOW I'M JUST WAITING FOR THE WELL-DOCUMENTED TRANSMISSION FAILURE TO HAPPEN. THIS WAS MY FIRST NEW CAR EVER, AND I CAREFULLY RESEARCHED IT BEFORE PURCHASE. THEY CERTAINLY AREN'T MAKING THIS CUSTOMER FEEL TAKEN CARE OF BY NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR REPLACING THE FAULTY FUEL PUMP.

WHILE DRIVING, MY CAR CONTINUES TO JERK AND JERK AS I TRIED TO GIVE THE CAR GAS. IT WOULD SPUTTER AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN JUMP REALLY QUICK. IT FINALLY GOT TO THE POINT WHERE I GOT STUCK AT TWO LIGHTS! I FINALLY GOT MY DESTINATION AND GOT STUCK ON THE HILL. MY FOOT WAS ALL THE WAY ON THE GAS PEDAL AND SOME KIND GENTLEMEN PUSHED MY CAR UP THE HILL SO I COULD PARK IT. IT'S VERY SCARY AS I HAD MY TWO CHILDREN IN THE CAR WITH ME AND FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO HAPPEN IT PUTS ALL OF OUR LIVES IN DANGER. I WAS DRIVING ON A MAJOR INTERSECTION WHEN THIS HAPPENED. ANY TIME O WOULD COME TO A STOP IT WOULD STALL AND IT WOULD NOW ALLOW ME TO TURN. THE ACCELERATION WOULD NOT WORK. I HAD TO CUT THE CAR OFF TWICE TO TRY AND SEE IF IT WOULD RESTART AND GIVE ME ENOUGH PUSH TO MY DESTINATION. BUT AS STATED MY FOOT WAS COMPLETELY ON THE GAS AND IT WOULD NOT GO OVER 5 MPH!
I PURCHASED FOUR SUMI TOUR PLUS LSW TIRES IN OCTOBER 2016. IN OCTOBER 2018, A BULGE WAS DISCOVERED IN ONE OF THE SIDEWALLS. THE COMPANY I BOUGHT THE TIRES FROM SUGGESTED THE TIRE MUST HAVE BEEN DAMAGED BY A POTHOLE (EVEN THOUGH I LIVE IN FLORIDA WHERE THERE ARE FEW, IF ANY, POTHOLES.) IN APRIL 2020, ANOTHER BULGE WAS DISCOVERED IN ONE OF THE THREE REMAINING ORIGINAL TIRES. BOTH BULGES OCCURRED WITH THE TIRES HAVING LESS THAN THE 50,000 MILE WARRANTY. I CONTACTED THE TIRE MANUFACTURER AND WAS TOLD THE BULGES WERE "IMPACT BUBBLES," WHICH IS NOT A DEFECT, BUT A ROAD HAZARD. I FIND THIS HARD TO BELIEVE, AS I HAVE HIT POTHOLES IN THE PAST THAT HAVE ACTUALLY DENTED MY RIM, BUT NEVER HAVE I HAD BULGES OCCUR IN THE TIRES THEMSELVES IN ALL MY YEARS OF DRIVING...LET ALONE TWO BULGES IN UNDER TWO YEARS. *TR *JS
I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY ON CRUISE CONTROL GOING 70MPH WHEN THE CAR STARTED SLOWING DOWN TO THE POINT WHERE I HAD TO PULL OVER. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AND WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON IT WAS NOT ACCELERATING. I HAD TO TOW THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED A NEW CVT TRANSMISSION. MY CAR ONLY HAS 114,000 MILES. THE TRANSMISSION SHOULD STILL BE WORKING FINE. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTS/CAR WRECKS.
WHILE IN MOTION THE PASSENGER SIDE BALL JOINT DID BREAK. THIS ALLOWED THE WHEEL TO BECOME NON RESPONSIVE AND CAUSED THE DRIVE AXLE TO BREAK. IF THE VEHICLE WAS GOING AT HIGHWAY SPEED AT THE TIME, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN A SEVERE ACCIDENT TO SAY THE LEAST.
THE CAR JERKS WHEN ACCELERATING, COASTING AND BRAKING. THE RPM NEEDLE MOVES ERRATICALLY. THIS MAKES THE CAR EXTREMELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE AS THE JERKING COULD EASILY CAUSE A COLLISION. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON CITY STREETS AND PARKING LOTS, BUT I HAVE NOT TAKEN THE CAR ON ANY HIGHWAYS BECAUSE I FEAR THE POSSIBLE OUTCOME. THE CAR NEEDS A NEW TRANSMISSION AT ONLY 93,000 MILES. I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED 2 HOURS FROM THE LOCATION OF THE JERKING TO MY HOME.
WHEN DRIVING THIS CAR IT CONSTANTLY JERKS WHEN COMING TO A STOP. IT ALSO JERKS WHEN I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE GAS GOING DOWN A HILL. I AM ALSO HAVING ACCELERATION PROBLEMS SO I GET TO ENDURE THE FEAR OF NOT KNOWING IF THE CAR WILL GO WHEN I HIT THE GAS. I'VE TAKEN IT TO A MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD THE TRANSMISSION IN THIS CAR IS THE WORST TRANSMISSION EVER MADE. WONDERFUL NEWS. SO NOW MY CHOICES ARE TO PAY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, ON TOP OF THE ALREADY THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS I AM STILL PAYING ON THE CAR, TO GET A NEW TRANSMISSION OR BE TERRIFIED EVERYTIME I GET BEHIND THE WHEEL OF MY CAR THAT I WON'T MAKE IT TO MY DESTINATION. YOU HAVE MADE A VEHICLE THAT IS OF POOR QUALITY AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY YOU ARE EXPECTING PEOPLE TO PAY. YOUR CAR IS UNSAFE FOR THE ROAD. I PRAY THAT I AM CAPABLE ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO HANDLE THE CLEARLY INEVITABLE MECHANICAL ISSUES THAT WILL UNDOUBTEDLY HAPPEN AS I CONTINUE TO DRIVE THIS CAR. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES.
SANTANA CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS AND PICK BACK UP
UPON DRIVING MY CAR DURING A TRIP HOME FROM WORK THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I HAD THE GAS PEDAL PUSHED TO THE FLOOR AND IT WOULD NOT GO OVER 20 MPH AND THE RPM'S WOULD NOT MOVE. ONCE I GOT ON THE FREEWAY, THE CAR WOULD HARDLY ACCELERATE AND WHEN IT FINALLY DID DECIDE TO AFTER 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING THE RPM'S WENT ALL THE WAY UP AND THE SPEED ODOMETER HARDLY MOVED. THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE. I ALMOST GOT HIT IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC BECAUSE THE CAR COULD NOT SPEED UP.
THE CAR GOES INTO A LIMP MODE. CANNOT ACCELERATE PAST 20MPH. MECHANIC DETERMINED MY TRANSMISSION IS BAD. QUOTED $4,000 TO REPAIR. CAR HAS 87, 511 MILES. SHOULD NOT BE AN ISSUE. I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND ALMOST GOT HIT BY OTHER CARS.
THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS VEHICLE IN OCTOBER 2015. I CALLED THE NUMBER ASKED TO CALL AND WAS TOLD TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER CLOSE TO ME. WHEN I DID THAT I TOOK THE CAR TO NISSAN DEALS ON AUTOMOBILE BLVD IN SILVER SPRING, I WAS TOLD THAT SOMEONE HAS TO SIT ON THE PASSENGER SIT FOR THE AIRBAG LIGHT TO GO OFF. I ASKED WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN THE CAR IS DUE FOR INSPECTION . THE TECHNICIAN SAID THAT WILL TAKE CARE OF ITSELF BEFORE THE INSPECTION TIME. AS I WRITING THOS COMPLIANT, THE LIGHT IS STILL SHOWING AND ON GOING TO THE INSPECTION, I WAS TOLD THAT THE CAR HAS FAILED INSPECTION BECAUSE OF THE AIRBAG BEEN DISFUNCTIONAL. I HAVE CALLED NISSAN MOTOR AND THEY ARE GIVING ME THE GO AROUND AND NOT ADDRESSING THE ISSUE OF THE RECALL THAT CAUSED MY CAR NOT TO PASS INSPECTION. PLEASE I NEED HELP AS THE RECALL ISSUE WAS NOT ADDRESSED WHICH HAS CAUSED THE PROBLEM NOW.FOR MY NISSAN SENTRA 2013.

THE STATED THAT WHEN DRIVING AT 25 TO 30 MPH WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS ENGAGED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO COME TO A STOP AND CAUSED THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT POLICE DEPARTMENT PROVIDED CASE NUMBER 020-9-018-0182. THE STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC FOR INSPECTION AND THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 52,400.
I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE FROM A USED DEALERSHIP. I HAVE A 2013 NISSAN SENTRA THAT HAS THE EXACT SAME ISSUES AS THE NISSAN VEHICLES FROM 2010-2012. MY TRANSMISSION FEELS AS IF IT IS SLIPPING, JERKING, SHUDDERING AND DOES NOT GAIN ACCELERATION SMOOTHLY. IF I ACCELERATE AT ALL, MY TRANSMISSION WILL JERK. IF I PUT MY CAR IN REVERSE, IT WILL STALL AND FEELS AS IF IT IS NOT GETTING ANY GAS AND THE TRANSMISSION JERKS. IF I AM ON A STREET THAT IS NOT BUSY DRIVING UNDER 40 IF MY RPM GETS OVER 1, IT WILL JERK AND FEEL AS IF IT IS GOING TO SHUT OFF. WHEN I AM DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT HIGHER SPEEDS OF 40, IF THE RPM INCREASES AT ALL, MY VEHICLE JERKS AND FEELS AS IF IT IS NOT GETTING ENOUGH GAS. I TOOK MY CAR TO FIRESTONE ON 1/10/20 AND THEY DETERMINED THAT IT IS INDEED THE CVT TRANSMISSION. I HAD 0 CODES APPEAR. I HAVE THE DOCUMENT FROM FIRESTONE THAT REFLECTS THAT I HAVE NO OTHER ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE. I WAS ADVISED BY FIRESTONE TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO NISSAN. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO NISSAN 1/10/20 THE SAME DAY AND WAS TOLD THE EXACT SAME THING, HOWEVER THE RECALL DOES NOT APPLY TO THE YEAR OF MY VEHICLE, BUT I HAVE THE EXACT SAME ISSUE AS THE PREVIOUS YEAR MANUFACTURED VEHICLES. I ALSO HAVE DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS AS WELL. THEY RAN A FULL DIAGNOSTIC TEST AND FOUND 0 CODES. I KEEP MY VEHICLE IN GOOD CONDITION AND WELL KEPT AND SERVICE IS UP TO DATE. THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED.
I BOUGHT THIS CAR AT 120,000 MILES AND HAVE DRIVEN IT TO 139,000. I STARTED NOTICING MY TRANSMISSION STALLING AND I REVIVED A LETTER IN THE MAIL A COUPLE TIMES REGARDING MY TRANSMISSION BEING RECALLED. I UNFORTUNATELY DON'T HAVE THE LETTER ANYMORE REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION.

CHECKING WITH MY RESOURCES I FURTHER SUSPECTED THE TRANSMISSION WAS RECALLED. I CONTACTED CARSON DEALERSHIP ; THEY SAID I SHOULD BRING IT IN TO BE DIAGNOSED. I CALLED THEIR COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT AND ASKED IF THEY COULD HELP ME MY 7 YEAR OLD SENTRA (WHICH I'M STILL MAKING PAYMENTS ON) POWER TRAIN SHOULD NOT BE IN FAILURE. THE REPRESENTATIVE LISTENED AND STATED ' THEY COULDN'T HELP BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT OF MILEAGE ON THE CAR.
SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, PURCHASED THE CAR BRAND NEW FROM MIDWAY NISSAN, 11/2013, THEN 07/2014, WHILE DRIVING THE CAR, IT COMPLETELY STOPPED ON US. THE TRANSMISSION HAD TO BE REPLACED AT FAULKNER NISSAN IN PA. ONCE AGAIN DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY IN MD, WITH HEAVY TRAFFIC, THE TRANSMISSION GIVES OUT, THESE RESULTS WERE SLIGHTLY MORE HECTIC. MY WIFE HAS EPILEPSY AND WENT INTO A SEIZURE BECAUSE WE WERE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR OFF THE HIGHWAY ONTO THE SIZE OF THE ROAD. HAD TO LEAVE THE CAR IN MD, GET A RENTAL CAR FROM BWI AIRPORT, DRIVE BACK HOME TO PA, MY MOTHER AND HER FRIEND, WHO WAS RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL AFTER A STROKE HAD TO DRIVE TO MD, IN ORDER FOR ME TO USE HIS TRIPLE A CAR TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED FROM BWI BACK TO HARRISBURG, PA. MY WIFE DROVE BACK WITH US TO MD BECAUSE WE NEEDED TO MAKE SURE MY MOTHER ALMOST AGE 70 AND HER FRIEND IN HIS 80 WAS OK. THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE BECAUSE MR SCHULL, THE TRIPLE A MEMBER NEEDED TO EAT AND WITH ALL THIS COMMOTION NEAR CHOKED WHILE EATING. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INTOLERABLE. NISSAN IS PUTTING FAULTY TRANSMISSION INTO VEHICLES. THIS IS SERIOUS, WORK IS BEING MISSED AND A SECOND TRANSMISSION. NISSAN NEEDS TO BE HELD LIABLE FOR THIS. CVT TRANSMISSION OVER HEAT/ FAILURE AT 93000 MILES. VEHICLE AFTER ABOUT 1- 2 HOURS OF DRIVING WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD OR BACKWARD WHILE IN DRIVE. BLOCKED TRAFFIC FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES AS POLICE OFFICERS WERE GETTING A TOW TRUCK. AFTER CAR HAD BEEN SITTING WHILE OFF FOR ABOUT 30 I WAS ABLE TO START AND MOVE IT OFF THE ROAD. NISSAN RECOGNIZES THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM INCREASED TRANSMISSION WARRANTY TO 84K MILES. SHOULD BE RECALLED!!! NO WARNING OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS EVER COME ON. NISSAN = JUNK!!
