The car keeps throwing a P0101 code. The MAF Sensor has been replaced and the throttle body has been clean and the engine light and code keep showing up. It is causing acceleration issues making it dangerous to start moving or going fast to get up to speed on the interstate.
The car began to jerk when driven. One day, it stopped working; the engine was still running but it wouldn't shift gears. The transmission was repaired, and several parts were replaced. However, the car still jerks when reaching 50 miles per hour, the horn doesn't sound, not even the alarm, and it makes a loud noise when making a tight turn.
Mass air flow sensor code keeps coming on. I have replaced the sensor with the Nissan brand and the check engine light comes on again being the MAF sensor. Also the radio screen is blank.
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND CODE IS MASS AIRFLOW. I HAVE REPLACED IT 5 TIMES AS WELL AS HAD THE WORK DONE SUGGESTED BY NISSAN FOR THE TBS THAT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR IT. IT STALLS WHILE I AM DRIVING IT. WHICH ALMOST RESULTED IN AM ACCIDENT. THE ONLY CODE THAT COMES UP ON THE SCAN IS FOR THE MASS AIRFLOW. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS BRING IT TO A DEALERSHIP. I HAVE HAD IT CHECKED AND RECHECKED AND FIXED AND THE ISSUE IS NOT GOING AWAY. WITH IT NOW STALLING AS I DRIVE THIS IS NOW A SAFETY ISSUE. IT HAPPENED ON A ROUTE WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 50 MILES AN HOUR. AT THIS TIME I NOT ONLY REPLACED SENSOR AGAIN BUT ALSO HAD A MECHANIC CLEAN THE THROTTLE BODY AND DO THE OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS. THE LIGHT CLEARED AND 2 WEEKS LATER SAME ISSUE HAPPENED.
CAR WILL JUST RANDOMLY STALL IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC I LOOSE A POWER OR STEALING THEN WILL SLOWLY COME TO A STOP MY BREAKS LOCK AND CAR START CLICKING THEN SHUTS OFF. ONCE I SIT FOR A BIT RESTART IT IT WILL START UP LIKE NOTHING HAPPEND IT HAD HAPPEND TO ME TWICE IN LESS THE TWO WEEKS APART. BOTH TIMES HAPPEND WHEN CAR RAN FOR ABOUT 10-20 MINS WITH NO MOVEMENT THEN ONCE I START DRIVING IT OCCURS.
FRIDAY 04/172020 AT APPROXIMATELY 515PM MINUTES AFTER PARKING MY CAR AT MY BOYFRIEND HOUSE AFTER TAKING MY COAT AND SHOES OFF ONE OF HIS NEIGHBORS KNOCKED ON THE DOOR TO LET ME KNOW THAT MY CAR WAS ON FIRE. KEYLESS IGNITION FAIL.... WOKE UP IN THE NIGHT WITH A HEADACHE AND DIZZINESS, FINDING OUT MY CAR HAD BEEN RUNNING IN THE CLOSED GARAGE FOR 7 HOURS AND THE SMELL, WHICH WAS CARBON MONOXIDE..... DIDN'T NEED MEDICAL ATTENTION BUT COULD HAVE DIED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 NISSAN SENTRA. WHEN THE CONTACT EXITED THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE WAS OFF. THE NEXT MORNING, THE CONTACT FOUND THAT THE ENGINE WAS ON. THE LOCAL DEALER (TEDDY NISSAN, 3660 BOSTON ROAD, BRONX, NY 10469) WAS CONTACTED, BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE DOOR LOCKS BECAME INOPERABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 22,000.
OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS) "FROM OWNERS MANUAL" AFTER IGNITION SWITCH IS PLACED IN THE "ON" POSITION, THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG STATUS LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ILLUMINATES FOR ABOUT 7 SECONDS AND TURNS OFF OR REMAINS ILLUMINATED DEPENDING ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT OCCUPIED STATUS. *UNOCCUPIED FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT: THE LIGHT IS OFF AND THE FRONT AIR BAG IS OFF. AND WILL NOT INFLATE IN A CRASH. ON MY VEHICLE THE LIGHT REMAINS ON CONSTANTLY EVEN WHEN UNOCCUPIED, IT DOES NOT TURN OFF AS STATED. AFTER READING NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER NISSAN OWNERS, IT IS APPARENT THE DEALER DOES NOT WANT TO "FIX" THE PROBLEM AND JUST CREATES ARGUMENT OVER THE STATUS OF THE LIGHT EVEN WHEN SHOWN THE OWNERS MANUAL ON THE PROPER OPERATION OF THE FRONT PASSENGER AIR BAG STATUS LIGHT. IT IS VERY DISTRACTING AND ANNOYING WITH THIS BRIGHT YELLOW LIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DASH, CONSTANTLY ON, ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS MOST NOTICEABLE. THE LIGHT COMES ON FROM THE TIME YOU START THE CAR UNTIL YOU TURN THE CAR OFF, EVEN WHEN NO ONE IS SITTING IN THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. TOOK CAR TO DEALER AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO FIX THE PROBLEM, THEY SAY IT IS WORKING IF THE LIGHT REMAINS ON EVEN WHEN THE FRONT SEAT IS UNOCCUPIED. THAT IS NOT WHAT THE OWNERS MANUAL STATES, NOR IS IT WHAT OTHER NISSAN OWNERS HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT. THE LIGHT SHOULD NOT STAY ON WHEN THE SEAT IS UNOCCUPIED.
I HAD MY OIL CHANGED @ NISSAN OF GRAPEVINE & THEY TOOK MY CAR THROUGH THE CAR WASH WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN. DRENCHING & DAMAGING THE INSIDE OF THE CAR, SEATS, FLOOR BOARD, ELECTRONICS ALL GOT WET & NO ONE EVER INFORMED ME, THEY TRIED TO COVER IT UP BY DRYING AS MUCH OF THE INSIDE. IT WAS ONLY WHEN WE SAT IN THE CAR & PUT MY PURSE ON THE FLOOR BOARD THAT WE REALIZED IT. WATER WAS SEEPING OUT OF THE DOOR HANDLES INSIDE THE CUP HOLDERS & ARM REST, DASHBOARD, ETC. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED THE SERVICE DEPT. I SPOKE WITH ASST MGR BRETT, I ALSO TOOK THE CAR RIGHT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP & THERE SHOWED THE SERVICE MGR MARK TOPHAM HOW WATER WAS POURING OUT OF THE BOTTOM OF THE SEATS, AND THROUGHOUT THE CAR. THE SCREEN ON THE RADIO WAS VERY DIM & THE SEATBELT LIGHT KEPT FLICKERING ON & OFF, THE AIRBAG ISSUE. MARK STUCK HE APOLOGIZED & SAID THEY WILL MAKE THIS RIGHT. I ALSO SPOKE WITH SAM STREET, SALES MGR, WHO AGREED, THAT THEY DID SERIOUS DAMAGE TO MY CAR & SAID HE WOULD BE SPEAKING TO OWNER MR. JOHNNY CANTRELL ABOUT A NEW VEHICLE REPLACEMENT & HAVE JOHNNY CONTACT ME DIRECTLY. I LEFT THE CAR THERE & TOOK AA RENTAL CAR. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM MGR MARK TOPHAM, NEXT DAY ADVISING ME, THAT ALL THEY ARE GOING TO DO IS REPLACE THE SEAT BELT BECAUSE THEY CAN'T GET THE SEATBELT LIGHT TO QUIT FLASHING & REPLACE THE INSIDE BOTTOM CUSHION OF ONE OF THE FRONT SEAT. I ADVISED MARK, THAT THEY DESTROYED MY NEW CAR BY WATER DAMAGE & THEY OWE ME A NEW VEHICLE REPLACEMENT, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE THEY TRIED TO HIDE THE FACT & NEVER DISCLOSED IT OR CHANGED THE OIL TO BEGIN WITH. HE SAID HE WOULD LET THE OWNER JOHNNY CANTRELL KNOW & HAVE HIM CALL ME. I NEVER RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM THE OWNER JOHNNY CANTRELL, NOR IS THE COMPANY WILLING TO MAKE RIGHT WHAT THEY DID WRONG. I NEED HELP IN RESOLVING THIS ISSUE, PLEASE!!!! THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!!!
DRIVER SEAT BELT WARNING INDICATOR REMAINS ILLUMINATED ON DASH DESPITE SEAT BELT BEING PROPERLY ENGAGED BOTH DURING USE AND NWHILE PARKED.. REMOVAL AND RECONNECTION OF SEATBLET DOES NOT CORRECT ISSUE. ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS ON BOTTOM OF DRIVER SEAT APPEAR INTACT.
THE CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE IMMEDIATELY AFTER COMING OFF A COMPLETE STOP. ONCE I TURN THE CAR OFF AND WHEN TO TURN IT BACK ON AND PUT IT IN GEAR, IT WOULDN'T SHIFT GEARS. IT STARTS BUT WOULDN'T MOVE.
