Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)when I buy the car . I pay guaranty for oil change after 100,000 miles and cover my tires
the flame broke when the vehicle was running
At highway speed of 65 MPH, passenger-rear tire started to make slight thumping sound. After a few minutes, it became much louder. I pulled off the road to investigate and found that treads were completely delaminating from tire. Tire was inflated to 74 psi and they have always been properly maintained. Only 24,000 miles on tire (vehicle purchased new in Feb, 2019). No injuries but had I not pulled over right away, there is no doubt that a blowout would have occurred with potentially devastating consequences. The vehicle is a 2018 Nissan Titan XD, Platinum Reserve, purchased at Baxter, Nissan of Bellevue, Nebraska.
TIRES ARE LOSING AIR ON THE SIDEWALL THAT'S CRACKING OR BREAKING DOWN. NO PUNCTURE OR DAMAGE IS VISIBLE. BUT WITHIN A HOUR TIRE BECOMES FLARE. THIS HAPPENED WHEN VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND GOT INSIDE AND MY TMPS LIGHT WAS ON AND PRESSURE WAS LOW.
Complaints are unverified consumer reports submitted to NHTSA. A high complaint count may reflect vehicle popularity, not defect severity. Data sourced from NHTSA public records.
