THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED MAJOR INJURIES TO HER BACK. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE 2 CHILDREN SEATED IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED EXTREME BRUISING ON THE TORSO. MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS REQUIRED. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V302000 (AIR BAGS), AND THEY WHERE MAILING OUT THE RECALL PAPERWORK. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 39,000. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE DRIVER, FRONT PASSENGER, AND TWO MINOR ADOLESCENT PASSENGERS IN THE REAR SEAT RECEIVED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED A RUPTURED NUMBER THREE LUMBAR (THAT REQUIRED SURGERY AND FOUR RODS). THE FRONT PASSENGER SUSTAINED BRUISING, MINOR CUTS, SCRAPES TO BOTH KNEES, AND SORENESS TO THE LOWER BACK (THAT REQUIRED X RAY'S, BUT NO FINDINGS). A NINE YEAR OLD CHILD SUSTAINED BRUISING TO THE RIGHT SIDE FROM THE WAIST TO THE SHOULDER, AND THE LEFT SIDE COLLAR BONE WAS BROKEN. A SIX YEAR OLD CHILD SUSTAINED BRUISING ACROSS THE WAIST AND STOMACH FROM THE SEAT BELT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO BUCK'S TOWING (3540 HWY 16 E SUITE 1 SHARPSBURG, GA 30277, 678-301-9332). THE INSURANCE COMPANY DEEMED THE VEHICLE DESTROYED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V302000 (AIR BAGS, SEAT BELTS) ON JUNE 30, 2017. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED ON JUNE 26, 2017 AND STATED THAT THE NOTIFICATION SHOULD ARRIVE IN THE MAIL SOON. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 39,000.
MY TRUCKS 'SERVICE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL' LIGHT (LIGHTNING BOLT) COMES ON BOTH WHEN STARTING MY VEHICLE AND WHEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE. WHEN IT COMES ON WHEN I TRY TO START THE TRUCK, IT WONT CHANGE OUT OF THE GEAR IT IS IN (IE I CANT GO FASTER THAN 15-18MPH). IT SOMETIMES GOES OFF IF I TURN THE ENGINE ON AND OFF MULTIPLE TIMES. THE MORE DANGEROUS TIMING OF IT IS WHEN THE LIGHT COMES ON WHILE I'M DRIVING.THIS EITHER CAUSES ME TO DOWNSHIFT INTO A LOWER GEAR WHICH THROWS ME FORWARD AND REVS THE ENGINE IN EXCESS OF 3000RPM, OR WHILE I AM STOPPED, THE RPMS CLIMB WITHOUT ANY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR. IF I TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE WHILE THIS HAPPENS, I ACCELERATE FORWARD EITHER UP TO 18MPH OR 30MPH DEPENDING WHICH GEAR IT IS 'STUCK' IN. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO ONE LOCAL RAM DEALER 6 TIMES REPORTING THE SAME ISSUE. THE DID FLASH UPDATES, REPLACED ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR, BRAKE SENSOR, REPAIRED CONNECTOR FOR THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL SENSOR, AND REPLACED THROTTLE BODY (ALL OF WHICH AT THE TIME, THEY SAID EACH INDIVIDUAL COMPONENT WAS THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM). I HAVE TAKEN IT TO ANOTHER LOCAL RAM DEALER, AND THEY ATTEMPTED TO FIX IT WITH 4 AND A HALF HOURS OF DIAGNOSTIC TIME. THEY REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY AND REPLACED A CABLE/CONNECTOR AND LOW AND BEHOLD, THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS FOR SO, SO MANY REASONS. I NOTE THAT NOT ONLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAVE COME ON, BUT THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT, ABS LIGHT, SERVICE 4WD LIGHT, ! TEMP LIGHT, CHECK BRAKE LIGHT, AND OF COURSE THE SERVICE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT.
WHILE IN MOTION ON A HIGHWAY DURING A RAINSTORM, VEHICLE HYDROPLANED RESULTING IN A ROLLOVER INTO THE MEDIAN. VEHICLE ROLLED OVER 3-4 TIMES. NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. DRIVER RECEIVED BROKEN RIB AND PAIN ON LEFT SIDE OF BODY, ANXIETY/DEPRESSION. PASSENGER HIT HEAD ON WINDOW FRAME, HEADACHE, PAIN TO RIGHT SIDE UNDER RIBS AND IN BACK BELOW RIBS, ANXIETY/TROUBLE SLEEPING.
BOLT HOLDING SEAT TO FLOORBOARD BROKEN, MAKING SEAT UNSTABLE. ATTEMPTS TO HAVE DEALER REPAIR TOLD BOLTS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. SPOKE TO OTHER RAM OWNERS WITH SAME PROBLEM BROKEN BOLT HOLDING SEAT SECURE.
PARKED AT EAGLE MOUNTAIN LAKE BOAT DOCK TO LOAD MY BASS BOAT. PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK AND GOT OUT TO LOAD MY BASS BOAT AND THE TRUCK ROLLED INTO THE LAKE,COMPLETELY SUBMERGED IN THE WATER.. HAVE HEARD ABOUT THE COUNTLESS DODGE ROLLAWAY COMPLAINTS BUT THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE.. HOW MANY MORE VEHICLES OWNERS HAVE TO EXPERIENCE THIS EXTENSIVE INSURANCE CLAIMS BEFORE A REAL INVESTIGATION OCCURS THESE ROTARY SHIFT KNOBS ON THE DASH... THEY HAVE AN INHERENT PROBLEM.
SHIFTER KNOB HAS SLIPPED OR CHANGED GEARS WHILE MOVING OR STANDING IDLE. OTHER TIMES IT WILL NOT SHIFT INTO ANY GEAR IE: REVERSE. ALSO DASH LIGHTS FLICKER AT TIMES, AND AT TIMES WILL NOT TURN OFF PARKING LIGHTS KILLING THE BATTERY. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES OVER THE PAST 2 MONTHS.
PRIMARY COMPLIANT IS THAT AIRBAG SENSOR INDICATED THAT THE AIRBAG IS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. TECHNICIAN NOTES: AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON; BE BODY ELECTRICAL CONCERN. FOUND CODE B0028-13 AND FOUND OPEN CIRCUIT ON SEAT BACK AIRBAG HARNESS DURING WIGGLE TEST, REPLACE HARNESS TO CORRECT CONCERN. AFTER REPAIRS CODE WENT STORED AND CLEARED. NOW, I JUST PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW FROM GRAPEVINE DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP JANUARY 2015, THIS VEHICLE IS ON A REGULAR MAINTENANCE PLAN AND HAS NOT BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY MAJOR ACCIDENTS. THEREFORE, IF THE WIRING IS FOUND FAULTY I BELIEVE THIS IS A MANUFACTURES PROBLEM. TOTAL OUT OF POCKET COST TOTALED $350.17 PLUS TAX. I REACHED OUT TO CHRYSLER CARE AND SUBMITTED DOCUMENTATION AND RECEIPT FOR REIMBURSEMENT AND I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT AIRBAGS ARE NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY. CONCERNED THAT MANUFACTURE RECEIVED INFORMATION STATING AIRBAG NOT FUNCTIONING AND THEY ARE NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY TO REPAIR AND CORRECT.
EXHAUST MANIFOLD BOLTS BREAK OFF IN THE BLOCK AND CAUSE EXHAUST LEAKS. HAPPENED AT 50K MILES. WAS TOLD BY THE REPAIR SHOP IT HAPPENS OFTEN.
2012 TO PRESENT RAM 1500 AND OTHER MODEL RAM PICKUPS HAVE A DEFECT IN THE ROOF SEAM SEALING SYSTEM ALLOWING WATER TO INTRUDE THROUGH THE ROOF AT THE REAR OF THE HEADLINER. WATER ENTERS THE ROOF AT ONE OR BOTH CORNERS AND SOAKS THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS AND AIRBAG WIRING HARNESS. TODAY I CHECKED AND MY SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS AND WIRING WERE SOAKED DUE TO THIS LEAKING ISSUE. I AM FIXING MINE IMMEDIATELY ON MY TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH DUE TO CORROSION OR SHORTING OF THE WIRING AND WATER SOAKED AIRBAGS CAUSING THEM TO EITHER DEPLOY UNEXPECTEDLY OR NOT DEPLOY DURING A CRASH. DEALERS ARE DECLINING TO MAKE THE REPAIR INDICATING IT IS A COSMETIC ISSUE AND VEHICLE OWNERS MUST PAY TO HAVE IT FIXED. THIS SHOULD BE AN IMMEDIATE RECALL DUE TO THE HIGH RISKS OF SERIOUS INJURY AND DEATH IF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOY UNEXPECTEDLY ON A REAR PASSENGER OR WORSE A CHILD AND IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, NOT DEPLOY AT ALL OR DEPLOY IMPROPERLY DUE TO BEING WET AND/OR ELECTRICAL SHORT ISSUES. THE WATER COMES IN AT THE ROOF WHERE THE RUBBER STRIPS ARE MEANT TO SEAL THE ROOF FRONT TO BACK BUT THERE IS STILL SMALL HOLES THAT AREN'T SEALED CAUSING THE WATER TO GET IN.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. PRIOR TO THE FAILURE, THE STEERING ABILITY WAS STIFF AND VERY HESITANT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER (FRIENDLY DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP LOCATED AT 2499 STATE ROUTE 14A, PENN YAN, NY 14527) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STEERING GEAR, ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, AND RACK AND PINION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND AGREED TO COVER THE COST DUE TO GOOD NATURE WITH A $200 DEDUCTIBLE. CASE NUMBER: 31759119 WAS PROVIDED. FRIDAY 6/2/17 NIGHT WE RECEIVED A LOT OF RAIN HERE IN PRINCETON,TX. THE NEXT MORNING I GOT IN MY PICKUP AND NOTICED THAT THE HEADLINER WAS COMPLETELY SOAKED. I CHECKED UNDER THE BACK SEAT OF MY PICKUP AND NOTICED THAT WATER HAD POOLED UNDERNEATH IN THE STORAGE COMPARTMENTS AS WELL. ALL OF MY WINDOWS WERE UP AND DOORS COMPLETELY SHUT, SO I KNEW IT WAS NOTHING I DID. I CHECKED ONLINE AND FOUND A TON OF THREADS IN FORUMS THAT PINPOINTED THE CULPRIT AS BEING MY THIRD BRAKE LIGHT ON MY CAB. APPARENTLY THE SEAL ON THIS FIXTURE IS SUB-PAR AND WILL WARP AND CAUSE A GAP IN BETWEEN THE CAB AND THE FIXTURE ITSELF. THIS IS A VERY WELL DOCUMENTED ISSUE AFFECTING THOUSANDS OF RAM OWNERS.
MY RAM 1500 WILL H THE 5.7 HEMINGWAY V8 HA AN EXAUST LEAK AT THE EXAUST MANIFOLD APPARENTLY DUE TO A BROKEN MANIFOLD MOUNTING BOLT. IT MAKES A TICKING NOISE WHEN THE ENGINE IS COLD AND THEN SUBSIDES WHEN WARMED UP. I WAS CONCERNED THAT CARBON MONOXIDE MAY BE TAKEN IN BY THE CABIN VENTILATION SYSTEM AND EXPOSE THE OCCUPANTS TO THIS GAS. RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET REVEALS MANY PEOPL HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM AND HAVE BEEN TOLD BY RAM DEALERS THAT A SAFETY RECALL WOULD BE FORCE HCOMMING.
2014 RAN 1500 TRADESMAN BLACKED OUT EDITION. AFTER STOPPING THE VEHICLE AND PUTTING IN PARK TO CHECK OTHER CONCERNS WHEN RUNNING 40MPH THE TRUCK SHAKES AND SOUNDS LIKE MISFIRE, AFTER STEPPING OUT OF TRUCK IT BEGAN TO ROLL BACKWARDS AND PUSHED ME DOWN. AFTER GETTING BACK UP THE TRUCK CONTINUED TO ROLL DOWN THE HILL AND RAN OVER MY ANKLE AND FOOT. BEFORE CRASHING INTO A CONCRETE WALL. SINCE THEN I HAVE USED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE WHEN PARKING AND THE TRUCK WAS REPAIRED BY INSURANCE. 8,000 DOLLARS OF DAMAGE TO THE TRUCK AND MY RIGHT FOOT IS STILL HEALING AFTER 2 MONTHS. DASH SHOWED TRUCK IN PARK AND LEVER WAS COMPLETELY UP. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME IT HAPPENED, AND I GOT LUCKY THE TRUCK DIDN'T RUN OVER MY CHEST OR HEAD. THE FIRST TIME THE TRUCK DIDN'T STAY IN PARK WAS PROBABLY ABOUT 7 MONTHS AGO, I PLACED TRUCK IN PARK AND BEGAN TO GET OUT WHEN THE TRUCK WAS STILL ROLLING FORWARD. I HAD TO PUSH ON BRAKES AND REMOVE FROM PARK AND PUT BACK INTO PARK FOR IT TO WORK. INTERMITTENT PARK POSITION IS A VERY BAD THING TO BE INTERMITTENT.

REINEKE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (207 W WATER ST, NORTH BALTIMORE, OH 45872, (419) 492-7003) WAS CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED A SECOND TIME. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 97,800.
TIPM (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE) FAILURE. DEALERSHIP FAILS TO HONOR VEHICLE WARRANTY AND IS NOT REPLACING THE DEFECTIVE PART UNDER FULL BUMPER WARRANTY. THIS 1 PART CAUSES MANY ISSUES TO THE ENTIRE VEHICLE AND MAJOR ROAD SAFETY ISSUES. I HAVE TRIED MANY ATTEMPTS WITH DEALER AND MANUFACTURER DIRECTLY TO HAVE THIS WARRANTY PART REPAIRED AND THEY FAIL TO HONOR SUCH REPAIRS. I SEE ONLINE THAT THIS EXACT PART HAS MANY KNOWN ISSUES AND PROBLEMS FOR MANY SIMILAR PEOPLE. THIS 1 PART AFFECTS ALL PROBLEMS ABOVE BECAUSE ALL THESE PARTS ARE ELECTRICALLY CONTROLLED.
ON MAY 24, 2017, WHILE DRIVE AT A SPEED OF 65 MPH WESTBOUND ON INTERSTATE 84 IN MIDDLEBURY, CT, OUR 2014 RAM 1500 COMPLETELY SHUTDOWN. NO WARNING LIGHTS FLASHED AND WE WERE LEFT WITH NO POWER. BY THE GRACE OF GOD WE WERE ABLE TO COAST THROUGH TWO LANES OF HIGH SPEED TRAFFIC TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER OF THE ROAD. THE KEY WOULD NOT TURN THE TRUCK BACK ON. CT STATE POLICE (OFFICER RIVERA) WAS CALLED TO THE SCENE. THE TRUCK SAT FOR APPROX. 45 MINUTES AND THEN WE TRIED THE EXTRA KEY WE WERE CARRYING. THE SECOND KEY TURNED THE TRUCK BACK ON AND WE PROCEEDED HOME. ONCE HOME WE TRIED THE FIRST KEY AND IT ALSO NOW WORKED. WE TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE RAM DEALERSHIP (FRANKLIN SUSSEX AUTOMALL, SUSSEX NJ) AND THEY COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM. THIS WAS A LIFE THREATENING EXPERIENCE AND FELT IT SHOULD BE REPORTED.
I WAS A PASSENGER AN DRIVER SWERVED OFF THE ROAD TO AVOID HITTING HEARD OF BURRO'S IN NV. HIT HEAD ON TREE NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED THOUGH LOCAL DODGE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY HAD BEEN REPLACED, SEATBELTS FAILED AS WELL NOW I SUFFERING FROM BROKEN RIGHT KBEE BRUSED UP LEFT KNEE HIT KNEE'S ELBOWS AN MY HEAD WAS SWONG FORWARD AT AN ABRUPT STOP HIT AT 50MPH. WENT TO HOSPITAL THE RECOMMENDED BONE SPECIALIST THEY ARE GOING TO DO MRI BUT ONLY ON RIGHT KNEE WELL MY HANDS ARE NUMB AN THOUGH I KEEP COMPLAINING NO ONE IS LISTENING NO ONE IF RECOMMENDNG A DOCTOR. THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP HERE IN PAHRUMP NV ARE CROOKS THEY KEEP TRUCK 5 HOURS WE GET IT BACK WITH 48 NEW MINLES ON IT THEY DENTED HOOD TWICE. AN AT THIS POINT I WOULD LIKE VEHICLE INSPECTED THAT THE AIRBAGS WERE EVER EVEN REPLACED IN 2016 AT THIS POINT WITH FAILER TO DEPLOY AT HEAD ON 50MPH I HIGHLY DOUBT THEY REPLACED ANY RECALKED PARTS JUST RECIEVED THE SEATBELT RECALL ON 7/6/2017 AN I'M SURE THAT IS LATE ON THEIR PART TO EVEN NOTIFY US. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN WE HIT RIGHT SIDE FRONT AN LEFT SIDE OF VEHICLE. EVERYTHING HAS TO BE REPLACED EXCEPT TAIL GATE OR THE CAB DOIS TIRERS RIMS AN EVERYTHING ELSE MUST BE REPLACED.

I HAVE A RECURRING ISSUE WITH RODENTS CHEWING THROUGH THE FUEL LINE ON MY 2014 RAM 1500. THIS HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES SINCE DECEMBER, 2016 AND IS A VERY DANGEROUS ISSUE THAT CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF. THE FUEL LINE, ACCORDING TO MULTIPLE TECHS AND REPRESENTATIVES WHO HAVE WORKED ON MY TRUCK, HAS CONNECTIONS MADE OF A "SOY-BASED" PRODUCT WHICH IS ATTRACTIVE TO RODENTS. WHEN THE LINES GET CHEWED THROUGH, THE FUEL BEGINS TO LEAK VERY QUICKLY WHILE I HAVE BEEN IN MOTION ON PUBLIC STREETS. ONE OF THE THREE TIMES, MY REAR TIRES ACTUALLY LOST TRACTION COMPLETELY CAUSING ME TO BRIEFLY LOSE CONTROL OF MY TRUCK. THE AMOUNT OF FUEL THAT LEAKS IS SIGNIFICANT, USUALLY EMPTYING MY TANK FROM NEARLY FULL TO EMPTY IN SECONDS. I HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPOND BEFORE THE TRUCK COULD BE TOWED DUE TO THE SIGNIFICANT FIRE HAZARD THIS POSSES. IF THERE WERE TO BE AN IGNITION SOURCE OF ANY KIND, THE TRUCK WOULD CATCH FIRE AND POSSIBLY CAUSE SIGNIFICANT HARM TO MYSELF OR OTHERS. I HAVE BROUGHT THIS TO CHRYSLER/RAM'S ATTENTION AND THEY HAVE MADE NO EFFORT TO HAVE THIS ISSUE RESOLVED, ALTHOUGH THEY ACKNOWLEDGED THE DANGER INVOLVED WITH THIS PROBLEM. THE REPS I HAVE DEALT WITH EXPLAINED THAT THIS FUEL LINE IS MADE WITH SOY TO MAKE THE PART "ECO-FRIENDLY". THE REPAIR IS COSTLY AND, ACCORDING TO THE REPAIRING DEALERSHIP, CAN ONLY BE MADE USING THE SAME FLAWED "SOY-BASED" FUEL LINES. I HAVE ATTACHED PICTURES SHOWING THE CHEWED CONNECTIONS AS WELL AS INVOICES FOR THE THREE REPAIRS I HAVE HAD MADE. OTHER CAR COMPANIES HAVE CLASS ACTION SUITS FOR SOY-BASED WIRING HARNESSES AND FUEL LINES, SO I DO NOT KNOW WHY THIS HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED WITH THE RAM TRUCKS. When attempting to brake the vehicle's brake peddle does not engage and goes directly to the floor without engaging the vehicle's brakes. The vehicle has been inspected by numerous RAM dealers going back to 2015, and until 2024, no dealer had been previously able to duplicate the issue (vehicle available for inspection). Being unable to stop a moving vehicle during normal or emergency situations posses an immense safety risk to the operator, passengers, other motorists, and pedestrians. The issue was finally recreated by a Ram dealer in Florida on [XXX]. The entire braking system was inspected numerous times by various dealers in Texas, Arizona, and Florida. The brakes failure to engage happens randomly with out any prior warning lights or other vehicle indications, and first occurred in 2017 in Arizona. The only indicator for the potential of the brake failure is when the outside temperature is 75° or higher. However the presence of these temperatures does not guarantee the brakes will fail to engage just that the potential is more likely. I HAD A AIR BAD RECALL REGARDING THE SIDE AIRBAGS THAT I HAD FIXED AT ADAMS AUTOMOTIVE OF ANNAPOLIS AND THEN ON 5/07/14 I WAS INVOLVED IN A SERIOUS MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT DUE TO THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYING WHILE I WAS DRIVING. AFTER THE COLLISION INVOLVING 6 CARS WHEN MY SIDE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED, NONE OF THE OTHER FRONT AIRBAGS DEPLOYED WHEN THEY SHOULD HAVE BECAUSE OF HOW BAD THE FRONT IMPACT WAS. I AM FILING A SAFETY COMPLAINT FOR COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE ON A 2014 RAM 1500. THIS FAILURE IS A LOW BRAKE PEDAL CONDITION WITH TOTAL LOSS OF BRAKES. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION AT 5-50 MPH . THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED NEW IN SEPTEMBER 2014, THE FIRST FAILURE WAS FOUND IN MAY 2017 AT 56,000 MILES, THIS IS A ONE OWNER VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AT THE RAM DEALER, HENRY BROWN AUTOMOTIVE GROUP, IN CASA GRANDE ARIZONA. THE RAM DEALER DETERMINED THE BRAKE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY A FAULTY BRAKE BOOSTER AND MASTER CYLINDER. THE INSTALLATION OF A NEW BRAKE BOOSTER AND MASTER CYLINDER RESOLVED THE PROBLEM. NO SAFETY RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED THROUGH RAM.

STARTED THE TRUCK, RECEIVED CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND FUEL SENSOR FAILURE FLASHED ACROSS SCREEN. WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE TO DEALERSHIP THERE WOULD BE A NOTIFICATION NOISE THEN GAS GAUGE WOULD DROP TO EMPTY CAUSING VEHICLE TO ACT AS IF IT HAD NO FUEL. DEALERSHIP FOUND P0463 (FUEL LEVER SENSOR CIRCUIT) AND RECOMMENDED FUEL PUMP SENDER BE REPLACED.
STOPPED FOR GAS THEN DROVE 100 FEET TO STORE. TEN MINUTES LATER TRUCK HAD NO ELECTRICAL POWER, HAD TO USE KEY TO OPEN DOOR. ENTIRE SYSTEM SHUT DOWN. HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO DODGE DEALER THEY DIAGNOSED BAD WINN IGNITION MODULE TRUCK ONLY HAD 38,000 MILES ON IT. SAME THING HAPPENED AT 35,600 MILES AND DEALERSHIP REPLACED BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR. THIS PROBLEM CAN HAPPEN AT ANYTIME EVEN WHEN DRIVING ACCORDING TO OTHER REMARKS. I TOLD SERVICE TECH THAT A COUPLE TIMES A WEEK THE KEY WILL NOT ENGAGE ON FIRST TRY BUT THEN WILL START VEHICLE AND THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR MONTHS. I WAS INFORMED BY AN EMPLOYEE THAT THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS A COMMON ISSUE DUE TO A BAD DESIGN AND A CHEAP PLASTIC WIRING HARNESS LOCATED UNDER THE DRIVER SIDE SEAT. I BOUGHT A ONE OWNER CERTIFIED USED 2014 RAM 1500 2WD TRUCK WITH 22K MILES ABOUT 1 MONTH AGO. DEALER HAS ALL SERVICE RECORDS. AS SOON AS I GOT ON THE HIGHWAY LEAVING THE DEALER, THE SEATS START TO SHAKE AT ABOUT 55MPH, I CAN FEEL A VIOLENT SHAKING AND VIBRATION COMING FROM THE SEATS AND CENTER CONSOLE. IT IS NOT FELT IN THE STEERING WHEEL AT ALL. RUNS FINE, NO UNUSUAL NOISES ETC. RIDES FINE UP TO 55MPH. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER, THEY BALANCED THE TIRES. THIS DID NOT FIX IT. I TOOK IT BACK, THEY REPLACED ONE TIRE AND ROAD FORCE BALANCED THEM AGAIN, STILL NO LUCK. THEY HAD IT FOR A WEEK AND REPLACED THE DRIVESHAFT. A LITTLE BETTER, BUT STILL NOT RIGHT, VIBRATION IS STILL THERE. THEY HAD 2-3 OF THEIR SENIOR GUYS DRIVE IT, AND HAVE HAD MY TRUCK FOR OVER 2+ WEEKS NOW AND ARE STILL NOT SURE WHAT IS WRONG. I JUST MADE MY FIRST PAYMENT AND ONLY GOT TO DRIVE THE TRUCK A FEW DAYS IN ONE MONTH OF OWNERSHIP. I SEE NUMEROUS SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ONLINE ABOUT THIS. NO RECALLS ON MY TRUCK?? SOMEONE HELP.

I PULLED UP TO A GATE AT A FACILITY JUST OFF THE HIGHWAY IN BELTON, TEXAS AND PUT MY TRUCK IN PARK USING THE DIAL. I LEFT THE TRUCK RUNNING AND GOT OUT TO OPEN THE GATE. AFTER EXITING THE VEHICLE IT SOMEHOW BEGAN MOVING FORWARD UNTIL IT IMPACTED THE GATE. I GOT BACK IN THE VEHICLE AND THE DIAL WAS STILL IN PARK. IT DESTROYED THE GATE AND MESSED UP THE FRONT END OF MY TRUCK. I DID NOT KNOW THIS HAD BEEN REPORTED SO MUCH UNTIL I GOT ONLINE AND RESEARCHED IT AND NOW SEE THAT IS IT A PROBLEM WITH MANY OTHER DRIVERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE.

POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE IS FAILING INTERMITTENTLY IN COLD TEMPERATURES. SO FAR, THE FAILURES HAVE ALL BEEN ON STARTUP, BUT IT IS GETTING PROGRESSIVELY WORSE. THE MODULE HAS FAILED 8 TIMES NOW, RENDERING THE POWER STEERING NON-FUNCTIONAL. THE RAM DEALERSHIP HAS VERIFIED THE COMPUTER SYSTEM CODE INDICATING THE FAILURE. THE TRUCK HAS 32,000 MILES AND RAM IS REFUSING TO REPLACE IT UNDER WARRANTY. THEY INSIST THAT IT MUST FAIL COMPLETELY BEFORE THEY WILL REPLACE IT. THIS IS CLEARLY A DEFECTIVE PART, AND IT IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE. RAM CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS ACKNOWLEDGED THAT IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND THAT THEY ARE POTENTIALLY ENDANGERING LIVES, AND YET THEY REFUSE TO DO THE WARRANTY WORK. I SEE OTHER REPORTS HERE OF THESE UNITS FAILING WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, CAUSING A CRASH. FOR RAM TO INSIST THAT IT FAILS COMPLETELY MEANS THEY ARE RISKING A CRASH TO SAVE A FEW DOLLARS ON WARRANTY WORK. I DON'T KNOW HOW THAT CAN EVEN BE LEGAL.

I HAVE HAD MULTIPLE CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS COME ON STATING THAT THERE WAS HIGH VOLTAGE ON THE FUEL SENSOR AS WELL AS HAD MY FUEL GAUGE STOP WORKING AND MY CLUSTER READ FUEL SENSOR FAIL. THE DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS A DEAD SPOT IN THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR AND THE PUMP HAD TO BE REPLACED BUT WON'T COVER IT UNDER WARRANTY. MY TRUCK HAS THE "4-CORNER AIR SUSPENSION" WHICH WAS STANDARD ON MY MODEL. IT REPEATEDLY FAILS WHEN THE TEMPERATURE GETS BELOW FREEZING. IT WILL TYPICALLY DROP THE FRONT END VERY LOW AND SOMETIMES EVEN THE REAR END. THIS HAPPENS WHILE PARKED OR DRIVING. IT IS TERRIFYING TO DRIVE WHEN THIS HAPPENS - BUMPS NEARLY THROW YOU OFF THE ROAD AND STEERING IS UNPREDICTABLE. I CANNOT FIND A DEALER THAT IS SURE THEY CAN FIX IT, AND THE PROPOSED "MAYBE" FIXES ARE UPWARDS OF $2000. I CANNOT SAFELY GET TO WORK SOME DAYS AND I NEVER KNOW WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 2 WINTERS - WHEN I WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY THE DEALER TOLD ME FCA HAS NO FIX AND I SHOULD JUST IGNORE IT UNTIL IT WARMS UP. I CANNOT CONTROL THE CLIMATE. THE MOST COMMON WARNING INDICATED ON THE DASH IS "SERVICE OR REPAIR AIR SUSPENSION IMMEDIATELY" WHICH IS RIDICULOUS SINCE I MIGHT BE HUNDREDS OF MILES FROM HOME AND THE DEALER WON'T REPAIR IT ANYWAYS. THE SECOND MOST COMMON WARNING IS THAT THE PAYLOAD HAS BEEN EXCEEDED. THIS WILL COME UP EVEN WITH THE TRUCK EMPTY. EVERYONE I HAVE SPOKEN TO THAT HAS THIS SUSPENSION REPORTS THE SAME SCARY EXPERIENCES AND FCA HAS NOT OFFERED A FIX TO ANY OF THEM. I CANNOT AFFORD TO TRADE IT AND I CANNOT AFFORD TO KEEP IT. WHILE DRIVING MY CHILDREN TO THE PARK MY TRUCK SWITCHED ITSELF FROM DRIVE TO PARK. I WAS PULLING UP TO A STOP SIGN WHILE THIS HAPPENED. THE TRUCK HAS A KNOB FOR THE SELECTION SHIFT. MY CHILDREN WERE IN THE BACK AND SCARED ALL OF TO DEATH NOT TO MENTION IT ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. THE KNOB STILL SAID THE VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE, BUT THE DISPLAY SAID TO PUSH THE BRAKES AND PUT THE VEHICLE INTO DRIVE. SOMETHING SIMILAR HAPPENED A FEW MONTHS AGO, BUT THE TIME I THOUGHT MAYBE I HAD HIT SOMETHING WITH MY KNEE OR FOOT TO CAUSE IT. I NOW KNOW THAT THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM WITH THAT KNOB. I WAS STILL MOVING WHILE APPLYING THE BRAKE, THEN THE TRUCK JUST JERKED TO A STOP. I FIRST HIT THE GAS, BUT THE ENGINE INCREASED RPM, BUT THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT ENGAGED. I WILL NOT PUT MY CHILDREN IN THIS TRUCK AGAIN. *TR
