POWER STEERING STOPS WORKING OCCASIONALLY WHILE DRIVING
ELECTRIC STEERING MODULE HAS FAILED. EXTREMELY HARD TO STEER. STEERING WHEEL MUST BE MANUALLY TURNED BACK AFTER MAKING A TURN. VERY DANGEROUS. RECALL NOTICE S19 SHOULD BE COVERING THIS ISSUE ACCORDING TO DEALER.
I HAVE HAD A SEVERE VIBRATION FROM THE REAR OF MY TRUCK AT SPEEDS BETWEEN 50MPH AND 75MPH WHICH VIBRATES THE FLOOR BOARD AND FRONT SEAT AND THE ALSO THE CENTER CONSOLE. I HAVE HAD THE TIRES REBALANCED. I HAVE HAD THE TIRES REMOVED FROM THE RIMS AND THE RIMS CHECKED. I HAVE HAD THE TRUCK FULLY INSPECTED WITH NO REPORTED/KNOWN ISSUES BY THE DODGE DEALER IN SHALLOTTE, N.C. (VICTORY DODGE). THIS IS THE SAME TYPE OF INCIDENCE(S) REPORTED IN THE 2014 DODGE RAM UNDER NHTSA ID NUBER 10056977 SERVICE BULLETIN NO. 16-001-14. DODGE ISSUED A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE REAR PROP SHAFT/U-JOINT IN AUGUST OF 2014. WHEN YOU INQUIRE TO DODGE OF THE ISSUE THEY CLAIM THEY NO NOTHING ABOUT ANY ISSUES.
POST V08 RECALL UPDATE THE TRUCK EXPERIENCES TREMENDOUS POWER LAG FROM A STOP CAUSING AN UNSAFE CONDITION.THIS CAUSES A ISSUE MERGING WITH TRAFFIC SAFELY. NOT TO MENTION FUEL ECONOMY DROPPED 2-3 MPG.AND PEAK POWER WAS ALSO REDUCED.
The contact owns a 2015 Ram 1500. The contact stated that water was leaking from the headlamps. The contact called the local dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. ENGINE FIRE RESULTING IN TOW TO DEALERSHIP. HAULING 4000LB TRLR @ 65MPH, RUMBLING FIRST THEN WHITE SMOKE FROM REAR OF TRUCK WHEN ENGINE DIED. PULLED OFF HWY AND FOUND SMALL FIRE IN CENTER OF MANIFOLD. EXTINGUISHED AND RESTARTED TRUCK. FUEL SPRAYING FROM FUEL LINE.
STARTING A FEW MONTHS AGO POWER STEERING WOULD OCCASIONALLY GO OUT BUT THEN IT WOULD CORRECT ITSELF SO I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST A GLITCH. NOW IT HAS BEGUN AGAIN AND IT HAS NOT CORRECTED ITSELF. OCCURS WHEN TURNING AT ANY SPEED.
THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING, SO I BROUGHT IT TO THE DODGE DEALER. THE RAN A TEST AND IT SHOWS A FUEL SENSOR ERROR. THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME THAT THIS IS HAPPENING A LOT AND IF NOT FIXED SOON IT COULD CAUSE A FIRE.
MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE, FOLLOWED SHORTLY BY A 'SERVICE DEF SYSTEM ' SEE DEALER' DISPLAY ON THE DASH. I WAS 300+ MILES FROM HOME ON A BUSINESS TRIP, SO I WASN'T ABLE TO GET IT TO MY DEALERSHIP QUICKLY. I CALLED A FEW DEALERSHIPS IN THE AREA (CENTRAL MICHIGAN), BUT NONE OF THEM WERE GOING TO BE ABLE TO LOOK AT IT FOR AT LEAST 4-5 DAYS. AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 50 MILES OR SO TOWARD HOME, THE DISPLAY CHANGED TO 'SERVICE DEF SYSTEM ' ENGINE WILL NOT RESTART IN 200 MILES). I WAS ADVISED BY THE DEALER THAT IT WOULD CONTINUE RUNNING AS LONG AS I DID NOT SHUT IT OFF, SO I DROVE IT BACK TO MY HOMETOWN AND DIRECTLY TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE. IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE ISSUE WAS THAT THE 3 BOLTS BETWEEN THE DIESEL PARTICULAR FILTER AND THE SCR HAD SHEARED. WITH EXHAUST COMING OUT OF THAT FLANGE, THE DEF INJECTOR, DEF INJECTOR CONNECTOR, AND THE DEF SUPPLY LINE MELTED. REGRETTABLY, I DON'T KNOW IF THEY MELTED RESULTING IN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON OR IF THEY MELTED AFTER THE LIGHT CAME ON, BUT I WOULD SUSPECT THAT THEY WERE ALREADY DAMAGED PRIOR TO THE LIGHT COMING ON AND IT WAS THE DAMAGE THAT CAUSE THE LIGHT TO COME ON. THE LOCAL DEALER (LEMAN RAM) TOLD ME THAT IT WAS MY FAULT THAT THOSE ITEMS MELTED BECAUSE I DROVE THE TRUCK WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I ASKED WHAT I SHOULD HAVE DONE SINCE I WAS NOWHERE NEAR HOME AND COULD NOT GET MY VEHICLE SERVICED, BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE AN ANSWER. MY CONTENTION IS THAT THE BOLTS BETWEEN THE PARTICULATE FILTER AND THE SCR SHOULD NOT HAVE SHEARED. I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A DEFECT / DESIGN FLAW AND EITHER WAY, THIS IS WHAT LED TO THE DAMAGE TO THE DEF SYSTEM. SO BASICALLY, A DESIGN DEFECT THAT RESULTED IN THE BOLTS SHEARING AND CAUSING DAMAGE ELSEWHERE WAS BLAMED ON ME AND RESULTED IN ME SPENDING $1,168. THE IS A 2015 RAM ECODIESEL WITH 153,039 MILES.
ENGINE SHUTS OFF INSTANTLY WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. WON'T START BACK UP FOR SEVERAL HOURS. WHEN TRYING TO RESTART, STARTER TURNS BUT SEEMS NO GAS IS GOING TO ENGINE. TRUCK ONLY HAS 39K MILES. WHEN I WALKED AWAY FROM THE TRUCK THE AUTO STARTER TRIED TO START IT ON IT'S OWN.
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON , FUEL GAUGE WENT TO EMPTY AND LOW FUEL FLASHED ACROSS DASH. TOOK VEHICLE TO LOCAL DEALER AFTER RESEARCHING ON INTERNET TO FIND OUT IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WHICH HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED BY DODGE/RAM. DEALER ADVISED THAT THE FUEL LEVEL SENSOR HAD FAILED IN THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY. THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY HAD TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE IT COULD CAUSE VEHICLE TO SHUT DOWN BECAUSE FUEL PUMP MALFUNCTION
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE POWER STEERING SEIZED AND THE POWER ASSIST WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT MANAGED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO LAFONTAINE CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF FENTON (16555 SILVER PKWY, FENTON, MI 48430, (810) 714-3300) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING RACK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED AND THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN A RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 64,356.*DT *DT CONSUMER STATED NO WORK WAS DONE , THEY HOOKED UP THE DEVICE TO DIAGNOSE IT. IN THAT PROCESS THE SYSTEM WAS RESET AND THE ISSUE CLEARED OUT. ESTIMATE REPAIRS CAME OUT TO 2500 DOLLARS. *JB CONSUMER STATED THEY DID NOT PERFORM ANY REPAIRS.*JB
LOSS OF POWER STEERING ASSIST. ATTEMPTED TO HAVE DEALER FIX AS MY REGULAR MECHANIC INFORMED ME OF 2016 RECALL. 519-NHTSA-16V/167. DEALER TOLD ME MY VEHICLE DID NOT SHOW ANY RECALLS
WITHIN THE LAST 30 DAYS, MY TRUCK HAS LOST POWER STEERING CAPABILITIES NUMEROUS TIMES. IT VARIES WHEN THIS OCCURS AS WELL. IT COULD BE A FULL HIGHWAY SPEED, DRIVING SLOWLY THROUGH A PARKING LOT OR EVEN WHILE STATIONARY. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A SERVICE CENTER FOR DIAGNOSTICS AND WAS TOLD THE STEERING IS ONE ELECTRIC UNIT SO I DID SOME RESEARCH WITH MY MECHANIC AND FOUND A LIMITED RECALL ON 2015-16 RAM 1500S FOR THE POWER STEERING ECM. AT THIS POINT, I BELIEVE THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM AND SHOULD BE A FULL RECALL. AT THIS TIME WE CANNOT FIND THE PARTS TO FIX THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THEY ARE SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE DUE TO SUCH HIGH DEMAND FOR REPLACEMENT PARTS MOST LIKELY DUE TO THE SAME ISSUES I'M EXPERIENCING WITH MY VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 RAM 1500. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE POWER STEERING MALFUNCTIONED. AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE VEERED OFF THE ROAD AND CRASHED INTO A SMALL DITCH. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT RESTART AND WAS TOWED TO PEACOCK CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM FIAT (265 DRIVERS WAY A, HARDEEVILLE, SC 29927, (843) 208-1200). THE DEALER STATED THAT AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE PREVENTED THE VEHICLE FROM RESTARTING. ALSO, THE TIE ROD WAS FRACTURED AND REPAIRED BY THE CONTACT. THE DEALER QUOTED A REPAIR COST OF $2,500 FOR THE POWER STEERING MODULATOR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
WAS DRIVING DOWN A HIGHWAY AND ALL THE WARNING LIGHTS LIT UP LIKE A CHRISTMAS TREE ON THE DASH. THEN THE VEHICLE STARTED TO SLOW DOWN BY ITSELF AND THEN STARTED TO TAKE OFF BY ITSELF. AS I WAS SLOWING DOWN IT LEAPED FORWARD INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC WHEN I WAS TRYING TO TURN OFF THE HIGHWAY. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED WITH THIS VEHICLE. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED THE DEALERSHIP COULDN'T MAKE IT REPEAT SO THEY SENT ME ON MY WAY WITH NO RESOLUTION. THIS TIME, I GOT AN EXTREME AMOUNT OF ATTITUDE FROM THE DEALERSHIP SAYING I WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEMS AND THAT I DIDN'T WANT ANY HELP AFTER THEY MENTIONED THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE ME. I'M SURPRISED THEY LET ME HAVE THAT TRUCK BACK AS DANGEROUS AS IT IS BUT THEY CERTAINLY DID. THIS THING IS LIKE A TIME-BOMB. JUST WAITING FOR THE NEXT INCIDENT AND THERE CERTAINLY WILL BE ONE. THEY WOULD NOT LET ME HAVE THE PAPERWORK THIS LAST TIME BECAUSE I WOULD NOT SIGN IT.
SEAT BELT WON'T LATCH. LATCH BUTTON WILL STAY IN OPEN POSITION.
MAKING THE 12 MILE TRIP TO WORK WHEN AT MILE 10 MY TRUCK EXPERIENCED A DECREASE IN POWER FOLLOWED BY A SHUDDERING NOISE WHEN ON THE THROTTLE. LIMPED THE VEHICLE OFF TO THE SHOULDER WHERE I NOTED SMOKE. OPENED THE HOOD TO DISCOVER A SMALL FIRE TOWARD THE REAR OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. TRIED TO EXTINGUISH THE FLAMES WITH NO LUCK AND WITH IN 5 MINS THE FLAMES HAD ENGULFED THE FRONT OF THE TRUCK.

LOCATION: TWO LANE STATE HIGHWAY (IN MOTION) SPEED: 55-60 TOWING: BOAT (~3000 LBS) SOURCE OF FIRE: FUEL INJECTOR (STATED BY RAM CERTIFIED DIESEL MECHANIC) RAM WARRANTY CLAIM: DENIED BY WHAT FIAT CHRYSLER CALLED "LEGAL" (MY TRUCK WAS STILL WITHIN THE 100,000 MILE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY) OUTCOME: UTILIZED MY INSURANCE (ALLSTATE). ALLSTATE DOES NOT COVER THE SOURCE OF FIRE THUS, YOU WILL NOT SEE THE COST OF THE "FUEL INJECTOR" ON THE INSURANCE CLAIM DOCUMENT. SUBMIT DOCUMENT: INSURANCE CLAIM DOCUMENT INCLUDED.
ABOUT 4 WEEKS AGO THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CODE READS AS FUEL TEMPERATURE SENSOR. AFTER THE RECALL FOR THE TAILGATE, MY TRUCK TAILGATE HAS OPENED TWICE WHILE DRIVING. PRIOR TO THE RECALL ZERO.
DROVE LESS THAN A MILE AND TRUCK SHUT DOWN IN MIDDLE OF INTERSECTION WHILE MOVING WITHOUT WARNING. TOOK TO SHOP AND FOUND OUT IT HAD DROPPED A PISTON. HAD ENGINE PULLED AND ANOTHER USED (22000MILE) ENGINE PUT IT. TRUCK RAN FOR 40 MINUTES BUT WAS SHOWING MISFIRE IN 7. THEN TRUCK SHUT DOWN.
HEADLIGHT DEVELOPES CONDENSATION, CAUSING HEADLIGHT (HIGH BEAM) TO BLOW OUT (MY CASE), BUT WHICH EVER IS ON WILL BLOW OUT. DEALERSHIP IS TELLING CUSTOMERS TO RUN WITH HIGH BEAM ON TO BURN OFF THE CONDENSATION. THIS ONLY CAUSES THE BULB TO BLOW.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 RAM 1500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FUEL GAUGE WAS MALFUNCTIONING AND NOT PROVIDE CORRECT FUEL READINGS. TOWBIN DODGE (275 AUTO MALL DR, HENDERSON, NV 89014,(702) 558-3800) WAS CONTACTED AND SCHEDULED A SERVICE APPOINTMENT. THE DEALER DID NOT KNOW IF THE REPAIR WOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,870.
This engine and many others have catastrophic internal bearing failures. FCA has failed to accept and has voided many engine replacements. Please advise or look into.
I backup a long side a dumpster and put in park, got out and all the sudden my truck started moving backwards and just about ran me over. If I would not have had my door open and got cought on the corner of the dumpster, it would have ran me over. So this event ended up ripping my door off, so I got it replaced out of pocket because I thought it way fault but it happened again after that. But this time I cought it in time. I just would like to see if the problem is being addressed or is it still being investigated.
ALTHOUGH NOT REPORTED TO THE DEALER INITIALLY WHEN UNDER WARRANTY, THE DRIVER SEAT BELT WOULD COME UNDONE WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. AT FIRST I THOUGHT I HADN'T SECURED THE BUCKLE PROPERLY BUT EVEN AFTER ENSURING THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE WAS SECURELY LOCKED IT STILL WOULD UNLATCH ITSELF AND THE SEAT BELT ALARM WOULD GO OFF. THESE SEAT BELT LOCKING MALFUNCTION ALWAYS HAPPENED WHEN THE TRUCK WAS IN MOTION AND IT OCCURRED BOTH ON CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS. THIS ALSO OCCURRED AT DIFFERENT SPEEDS AND AT LEAST 25 TIMES OVER A 3 YEAR PERIOD. I JUST TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AFTER THE SEAT BELT BECAME UNFASTENED TWO TIMES WITHIN A 25 MILE TRIP. A SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE REPLACED ON A 3YR OLD TRUCK WITH ONLY 26K MILESON IT.
AFTER THE V08 RECALL MY MPG WENT FROM THE 27 TO 31 TO 19 TO 21 MPG THE RECALL WAS NOT SUPPOSED THE CHANGED THE MILEAGE THAT MUCH... AND THE SOME TIME IT SLOW TO THE START FROM A STOP
2015 RAM 1500 WITH 55,555 MILES. THE FUEL SENSOR FAIL (P0463). THIS OCCURRED FIRST WHILE DRIVING 55MPH WITH JUST OVER 3/4 TANK. THEN AGAIN A FEW MILES LATER. IT NOW SHOWS 'FUEL SENSOR FAIL' ANY TIME UNDER 3/4 OF A TANK. BUT WORKS WHEN AT A FULL TANK. I NOW MUST USE MY TRIP MILEAGE TO ESTIMATE WHEN MY FUEL IS LOW. I'M GLAD I GOT THE EXTENDED WARRANTY!

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,775.
THE RADIO IN THE 2015 RAM TRUCKS HAS A LOT OF ISSUES. THE NAVIGATION WILL RANDOMLY GO OUT, THERE IS JO WAY TO FIX THE ISSUE, THE ISSUE FIXES ITS SELF IN TIME AND WITHOUT WARNING WILL GO OUT AGAIN. THE RADIO WILL NOT TURN ON AT TIMES, SO ALL CONTROLS THAT GO THROUGH THE RADIO ARE ALSO OUT. TO GET POWER TO COME BACK ON I HAVE TO TURN THE TRUCK ON AMD OFF SEVERAL TIMES. THE PART NUMBER FOR MY RADIO IS 1C6RR7NM1FS[XXX]. MY TRUCK IS A LARAMIE ECODIESEL MODEL. THERE HAVE BEEN HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THE RADIOS. ON 3 DIFFERENT TIMES MY ACCELERATOR PEDAL HAS GOTTEN STUCK AND ACCELERATING TO ABOUT 90 PLUS MPH WHILE DRIVING. I HAD TO STOMP ON IT SEVERAL TIMES TO GET IT UNSTUCK WHILE RIDING THE BRAKE, I HAVE READ WHERE OTHER PEOPLE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS MINE. HOWEVER THE DODGE DEALER SAID THEY HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANY RECALLS ON THIS PROBLEM AND CAN NOT DO ANYTHING FOR ME UNTIL THERE IS A RECALL. SO PAYING OUT MY POCKET TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE BODY BEFORE I AM IN AND ACCIDENT AND INJURY OR KILL SOMEONE AND OR MYSELF. THANKFULLY THERE WASN'T A SCHOOL BUS DROPPING OR PICKING UP KIDS BECAUSE I HAD GO AROUND VEHICLES AS MY RAM TRUCK ACCELERATED ON IT'S OWN AFTER RELEASING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL.
3RD BRAKE LIGHT NOT SEALED AND ALLOWS WATER TO ENTER TRUCK. CAN INTERIORS LINER WET AND STAINS. BACK LEATHER SEATS WET AND STAINED
WENT TO THE GAS STATION EVERYTHING WAS FINE. I GO TO LEAVE AND I HAVE NO POWER STEERING. I HAD TO DRIVE THROUGH OUR CITY TO GET ON THE HIGHWAY TO GET HOME. IT WAS EXTREMELY HARD TO STEER ALL THE WAY HOME ESPECIALLY THE SLOWER I WENT. WHEN I GOT HOME I SEE ON THE INTERNET THAT THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE POWER STEERING ASSIST MODULE. BUT THERE IS NOT A RECALL FOR THIS YET. THIS HAPPENED WITH ONLY 72000.
THE FACTORY AIR RIDE SUSPENSION HAS FAILED DUE TO COLD WEATHER AND HANDLING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS IS MARGINAL. I HAVE REPORTED TO THE DEALER BUT THE SERVICE MANAGER TELLS ME THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND THERE ISN'T A FIX

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 72,000.

THE NEXT DAY, I VISITED MY LOCAL DEALER PLANET DODGE AND I INFORMED THEM ON THE ISSUE AND THEY RAN MY VIN AND SAID THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE IT DOESN'T HAVE THE RECALL WHICH IS RIDICULOUS BECAUSE THE RECALL FOR THAT PARTICULAR VEHICLE WAS FOR THE VEHICLES MANUFACTURED BEFORE SEPTEMBER OF 2015 AND MINES BEING FEBRUARY OF 2015. AIR SUSPENSION WOULD FAIL FREQUENTLY IN FRIGID TEMPERATURES. FIRST OCCURRED WINTER OF 2016.WAS A REGULAR OCCURRENCE UNTIL RECEIVING A SOFTWARE UPDATE. DEALER TOLD ME THE PROBLEM WAS A RESULT OF A SOFTWARE DESIGN FLAW IN THE AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL MODULE. THEY UPDATED THE SOFTWARE ON 2-15-2019 (42,000 MILES) AND SOMEHOW FELT JUSTIFIED CHARGING ME $90. CHRYSLER SENT A SERVICE BULLETIN (08-051-16) TO THE DEALERS ON 4-23-2016 NOTING THE DESIGN FLAW AND RECOMMENDING THE SOFTWARE UPDATE. I WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FIX UNTIL AFTER MY WARRANTY EXPIRED. I FEEL THIS IS UNSAFE AND VERY UNETHICAL.
THE ENGINE BLEW UP UNDER WARRANTY BUT WAS VOIDED BY AFTERMARKET PARTS. THE PARTS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FAILURE.FCA KNOWS THERE IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM AND FOUND THE EASY WAYOUT COSTING ME THOUSANDS...
WHEN I WOKE UP MY RAM'S STEERING WAS LOCKED AND I WAS SHOCKED BECAUSE I NEVER HAD AN ISSUE LIKE THIS SO I WAITED AND WAITED UNTIL IT REACHED 190* F TO BE ABLE TO TURN THE WHEEL THEN I SAFELY DROVE MY VEHICLE TO SCHOOL AND WHEN I GOT BACK IN MY TRUCK AT 2:20 THE STEERING WAS LOCKED AGAIN AND I'M SHOCKED AGAIN BECAUSE I NEVER HAD A CAR THAT HAD PROBLEMS. TO MY CONCERN THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE ANYONE HAVING THIS PROBLEM CAN SERIOUSLY CAUSE A BAD CAR ACCIDENT THAT WAS NOT MEANT TO HAPPEN IN THE FIRST PLACE.
TOOK THE TRUCK IN FOR A RECALL REFLASH OF A CONTROLLER. TWO WEEKS LATER, AT 58MPH, WITHOUT WARNING DASHBOARD LITE UP NUMEROUS SYMBOLS/CODES AND ENGINE SHUTOFF, LOSING POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES. I STEERED VEHICLE ONTO SIDE OF ROAD, AND ENGINE WOULD NOT RESTART. TOOK FIRST DEALERSHIP 4 WEEKS TO DIAGNOSIS A CRANK POSITION TONE WHEEL, AND SENSOR FAILURE. VEHICLE WAS RETURNED THEN 2 WEEKS LATER, WHILE REFUELING AT A GAS STATION SAME FAILURE OCCURRED WITH DIESEL ENGINE STOPPAGE, AND NO RESTART. VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SECOND CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN SECOND DEALERSHIP FOR 11 WEEKS, "UNDERGOING DIAGNOSIS". AS OF 6/6/2019, NO SOLUTION FOUND. FRANKLY, I DO NOT BELIEVE THEY HAVE A CLUE WHAT IS CAUSING THE RANDOM ENGINE SHUT OFF, NOR HOW TO REPAIR IT. THIS IS WHAT MAKES IT SUCH A FRIGHTENING DEFECT. IT APPEARS RANDOM, WITH ABSOLUTELY NO WARNING UNTIL THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS UP AND INSTANTANEOUSLY THE ENGINE SHUTS OFF. HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO DRIVE A VEHICLE WITH MY TWO CHILDREN AROUND, WHEN IT COULD STALL AT ANY TIME AT ANY SPEED? I'VE BEEN LUCKY TWICE. ONCE AT 58MPH ON A TWO LANE ROAD, ONCE STATIONARY. WHAT IF IT FAILS MERGING ON TO AN EXPRESSWAY, OR CROSSING A RAILROAD TRACK? *TR
SEVERAL TIME WHILE ATTEMPTING TO CROSS AN INTERSECTION OR JUST DRIVING MY TRUCK HAS GONE INTO LIMP MODE LEAVING ME WITHOUT THROTTLE CONTROL EXPOSING ME TO POSSIBLE COLLISION .
MY DRIVEWAY IS ON A SLIGHT INCLINE AND FOR THE 3RD TIME SINCE PURCHASING THIS TRUCK, WHEN I PUT THE TRUCK IN PARK IT HAS ROLLED BACKWARDS. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN TODAY AND I HAD TO JUMP IN THE TRUCK WHILE IT IS MOVING AND PUT THE BRAKES ON. THIS HAS THE 8 SPD TRANSMISSION WITH THE ROTARY KNOB.
THE AIR SUSPENSION ON MY RAM ECO DIESEL 2015 PICKUP HAS FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE SUSPENSION FAILED. I HAD TO DRIVE 25 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY JUST TO GET IT BACK TO TOWN. THIS HAPPENED LAST WINTER ALSO AND WAS REPAIRED UNDER WARRANTY. FOR 2 WEEKS THE TRUCK SAT WHILE RAM TRIED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO. THE TRUCK CAN NOT SOFTLY BE DRIVEN UNTIL FIXED. RAM IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE AND KNOWS THAT THE COLD WEATHER IS CAUSING THE PROBLEMS. WHAT CAN THE GOVERNMENT DO TO FORCE RAM TO RECALL THE TRUCK FOR SAFETY REASONS?
THE POWER STEERING IS CUTTING OUT RANDOMLY WITHOUT NOTICE. THIS CAN HAPPEN WHEN TURNING OR CHANGING LANES OR DRIVING IN A STRAIGHT LINE. WE ARE AFRAID TO DRIVE IT FOR FEAR OF A CRASH INJURING US OR OTHERS. THERE IS AN EXISTING RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM, (S19) BUT WE MISS IT BY 1 MONTH. SEEING WE HAVE THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS OTHERS WITH SAME MODEL AND YEAR, WE FEEL THIS RECALL SHOULD BE EXPANDED.
I TURNED IN A 2013 RAM 1500 BECAUSE THE AIR RIDE SUSPENSION SYSTEM FAILED FOUR TIMES IN FIVE MONTHS. ON OCTOBER 26, 2018, I LOOKED AT 12, YES 12, TRUCKS AND SETTLED ON A 2105 RAM 1500 REBEL, ALSO WITH THE AIR RIDE SUSPENSION. ON FEBRUARY 8, 2109, THE AIR RIDE SUSPENSION SYSTEM FAILED ON THE 2105 RAM TOO! THE 2015 IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP. I HAVE FILED A COMPLAINT WITH FIAT/CHRYSLER. WHEN THIS SYSTEM FAILS, IT FEELS LIKE YOU ARE NO LONGER DRIVING ON TIRES BUT LOGS WHICH COULD CAUSE SOMEONE TO CRASH. THE AIR RIDE NEEDS IMMEDIATE SERVICE ALARM DISPLAYED UPON START UP ON THE 2015. THE ALARM DISPLAYED THREE TIMES ON THE HIGHWAY AND ONCE EACH ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET AND WHILE PARKED. THE DEALERSHIP WAS GREAT WITH THE 2013 BUT I HAVE NOT HEARD WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN WITH THE 2015 EXCEPT THAT THE REPAIRS WOULD BE $2,700.00. ON BOTH TRUCKS, I WAS TOLD, BY THE DEALERSHIP STAFF, THE LEFT FRONT AIR SPRING LEAKED AND THE PUMP & MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY STOPPED WORKING.
AFTER 3 RECALLS WERE PERFORMED, INCLUDING A TRANSMISSION SHIFTER RECALL THE VEHICLE NOW SURGES AND LURCHES FORWARD WHEN I START IT. IT IS FULLY IN THE PARK POSITION AND NOT MOVING. I NOW HAVE TO BE SURE TO HAVE MY FOOT FIRMLY ON THE BRAKE WHEN I START THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE IS JUST BARELY OUT OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AT 75, 040 MILES.
WHEN FILLING THE TRUCK WITH FUEL CANN'T REMOVE THE GAS NOZZLE. HAVE A HARD TIME EVERY TIME I FILL MY TRUCK. SOME HAS TO HELP ME. IS A RECALL ON THE FILLER HOLE.
VEHICLE IS STRUGGLING REALLY HARD TO TURN JUST GOING AROUND A CURVE IN THE ROAD. THIS IS MAKING IT VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE DUE TO HAVING TO STRONG ARM EVERY TURN OF THE WHEEL AND NOT BEING ABLE TO MAKE SUDDEN TURNS IN THE EVENT IT IS NECESSARY. I BELIEVE IT IS THE POWER STEERING THAT HAS FAILED.
