THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TONE WHEEL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V475000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 106,000.

THE CONTACT WAS UNSURE OF THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, STATED THAT SOME UNKNOWN MAGNETIC MATERIAL NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V475000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 170,000.
Intermittent half steering power loss, ( I figured it was a weather related) followed by complete loss of power steering over time.
The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V406000 (Fuel System, Diesel) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted, and it was confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced shuddering and hesitation while driving. The failure mileage was 65,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
FUEL SENSOR FAILURE APPEARS ON THE DASH, ALONG WITH THE FUEL GAUGE MOVING ALL THE WAY TO EMPTY. BRINGS UP CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THIS HAPPENED DURING TRAVEL AND CAN COME AND GO UNTIL THE SENSOR COMPLETELY FAILS.

THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND THE OIL PRESSURE LOW, CHECK OIL WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE CONTACT EXITED THE VEHICLE AND SAW A LARGE AMOUNT OF OIL ON THE ROADWAY. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AUTOWORLD DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (1370 AUTO CENTER DR, PETALUMA, CA 94952) AND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH ENGINE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PROPERLY MAINTAINED, AND WAS UP-TO-DATE ON ALL MAINTENANCE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, AND THE CONTACT REQUESTED THAT A NEW ENGINE BE EXPEDITED TO THE DEALER. THE ENGINE WAS EXPEDITED TO THE DEALER AND THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 75,000.
This issue is apperently so well know, it has its own name. HEMI TICK. The bolts on the exhaust manifold break, causing an exhaust leak. The sound of the leak is where the term "HEMI TICK" gets its name.

WHILE HAVING A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE I DISCOVERED ON THE VEHICLE SEVERAL SMALL AREAS OF CHIPPED PAINT AND RUST IMMEDIATELY ABOVE THE WINDSHIELD. THE WINDSHIELD IS THE ORIGINAL AND NEVER CHANGED SO THERE IS NO REASON FOR THE PAINT DEFECTS ALONG THE WINDSHIELD SEAM AREA SO THAT WHEN THE RUST GOES THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD WILL BECOME UNSTABLE AND POSE A POTENTIAL HAZARD OR COULD FAIL ALTOGETHER. I SPOKE WITH A RAM DEALER WHO WAS UNINTERESTED IN THE PROBLEM. I HAVE CALLED RAM COOPERATE HEADQUARTERS AND REPORTED THE ISSUE. PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS.

THE CONTACT STATED HE WAS DRIVING 55 MPH, WHEN THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO LAKELAND CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (2875 MALL HILL DR, LAKELAND, FL 33810) TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CRANK POSITION SENSOR TONE WHEEL WAS DELAMINATED. THE DEALER WAS PROVIDED THE RECALL INFORMATION BUT DISPUTED THE REMEDY WITH THE CONTACT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT YET REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WERE TWO LEVELS FOR THE RECALL REPAIR HOWEVER, THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT CONTACTED THE DEALER ABOUT THE RECALL REPAIR PROCESS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 99,000.
The first sign of a problem was when my touch screen radio would randomly shut off and then turn back on again. As it would get hotter it would happen more often. Then the turn signals would have trouble flickering. The check engine light would show up and I've tried getting that figured out. When I was driving it would tell me "service transmission continue in D. Do not shift or turn engine off until you reach a desired location. You may not be able to shift again until serviced" with a blinking exclamation point. It would occasionally also say "service shifter" and sometimes when I would start it, it shuts off immediately. The worse part of all is when I was driving it doesn't automatically shift gears so I have to pull over and shut the truck off to be able to shift at the speel limit speed. This was all happening repeatedly 6 months ago before I dropped it off at the 2nd dodge dealership. The first one gave up on finding the problem. 1 year later and it's only gotten worse, aside from all the money spent.
Cam shaft went out in March of 2021. Causes the truck to have sudden lose of power. Purchased RAM brand new in November 2016, wouldn't expect the Engine/Cam shaft to go out before 5 years.
FUEL GAUGE DROPS TO EMPTY WHEN GAS TANK IS FULL. THEN READS FUEL AND THEN WILL DROP BACK TO EMPTY. NEVER HAD A VEHICLE DO THIS BEFORE.
The contact owns a 2016 Ram 1500. The contact stated while driving 50-55 MPH, the vehicle made an abnormally loud cranking sound. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and turned off the vehicle. The contact stated that upon restarting the vehicle, the failure persisted. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was then towed to the dealer the following morning. The dealer diagnosed that the crankshaft bearings had detached and damaged the engine. The dealer determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The dealer notified the manufacturer of the failure, but the manufacturer informed the dealer that the vehicle could not be covered because the vehicle was out of warranty. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V411000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THERE WAS A NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V167000 (STEERING) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE STATED IN THE RECALL. THE DEALER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS OVER THE WARRANTY COVERAGE. THE CONTACT INFORMED THE MANUFACTURER OF THE FAILURE AND THE MANUFACTURER INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT RECALLS WERE VIN SPECIFIC AND SINCE THE VIN WAS NOT A PART OF THE RECALL, NO ASSISTANCE WOULD BE PROVIDED. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CALL THE CANADIAN MANUFACTURER SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS MADE IN CANADA. THE CONTACT THEN CONTACTED THE CANADIAN MANUFACTURER, WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REGISTERED UNDER HIS NAME AND REFERRED THE CONTACT BACK TO THE U.S. MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 93,000.
I CURRENTLY HAVE MY 2016 RAM LARAMIE IN THE SHOP IN NEED OF A REPAIR TO THE POWER STEERING. WHEN TURNING AND ACCELERATING THE POWER STEERING LOCKS UP AND THE VEHICLE LURCHES. THE DEALERSHIP INITIALLY DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AS CONCURRENT WITH RECALL 16V167000 (NHTSA RECALL 16V-167), BUT THEN LATER DETERMINED THAT THE VIN OF MY VEHICLE DID NOT MEET THE SPECIFICATIONS. THIS ISSUE OCCURRED OUT OF THE BLUE ON MY VEHICLE, AND MAKES IT UNDRIVEABLE. THE REPAIR QUOTE IS UPWARDS OF $2600. IT STANDS TO REASON THAT THE 16V-167 RECALL EXTENDS BEYOND THE INITIAL SCOPE OF WHAT WAS ORIGINALLY DOCUMENTED, AND THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER ARE JUMPING ON THIS LOOPHOLE. I HAVE NO CHOICE TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE, BUT AM IN HOPES THAT AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE 16V-167 RECALL WILL BE MADE AT A FURTHER DATE WHICH MAY PROVIDE ME REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE MANUFACTURER. WILLING TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION UPON REQUEST.

Exhaust leek from a broken manifold resulted from bad manifold bolts. I am the original owner
WE HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET 2 RECALLS REPAIRED TO OUR VEHICLE FOR OVER A YEAR NOW. I CALLED THIS WEEK AND THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME THEY WERE A YEAR OUT FOR SCHEDULING AND WERE ONLY DOING 1 RECALL REPAIR PER WEEK. MY TRUCK IS RUNNING POORLY (NO ACCELERATION, ENGINE IS STRUGGLING. RUNS OK WHILE STATIONARY BUT STRUGGLES TO OPERATE WHEN MOVING BE IT CITY OR HIGHWAY.) AND WITH ONLY ONE DEALERSHIP AVAILABLE I AM AT A LOSS. WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DO?
HI HAVE A 2016 RAM 1500 5.7L HEMI (BIG HORN QUAD CAB). CHECK ENGINE AND FUEL LIGHT CAME ON AND READ," FUEL LEVEL SENSOR FAIL" BUT MY GAS TANK IS FULL AND STILL READS EMPTY. AFTER RESEARCHING THIS IS A BIG ISSUE PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING AND COMPLAINING ABOUT AND SHOULD BE A RECALL..DODGE IS DOING NOTHING TO REMEDY THIS FAULTY PART AND STILL CHARGING PEOPLE TO FIX A DODGE PROBLEM.. I WONT EVER BUY A DODGE AGAIN AT THIS RATE.. VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT DODGE IS NOT FIXING THIS KNOWN ISSUE...QUOTED ME OVER 600$ FOR THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY (PART ONLY) THAT I FOUND FOR UNDER 300$ FROM SEVERAL OTHER VENDORS.. JUST NOT FAIR AS A CONSUMER, I EXPECTED BETTER FROM DODGE. I'LL BE LOOKING TO TRADE THIS RAM IN AND WONT PURCHASE ANOTHER VEHICLE FROM DODGE UNLESS THEY RECTIFY, ACKNOWLEDGE AND FIX IT ASAP!!!!!!
The component that failed was the air ride suspension. When outside air temperature drooped to 0° then the air ride suspension lowered to the bottom and would not inflate. With this the wheels are out of alignment, tires scrape on fenders when turning and there is no suspension, spring action. I had the truck taken to the Ram repair center, they reset the computer and kept the truck in a warm shop until suspension continued to work. The following week when outside air temperature dropped to 0° the same thing happened. Every year truck suspension goes out. No warning. Where I live the outside air temperature below 0° is common in the winter and can last over a week at a time.
I HAVE REPLACED THE 3 WAY CONTROL VALVE 4 TIMES AND EACH TIME AFTER ABOUT A WEEK THE BOTTOM OF THE CONTROL VALVE BLOWS OUT AND RADIATOR FLUID ALL OVER. IT HAPPENS WHEN DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD/HIGHWAY.
OIL COOLER DEVELOPED A MASSIVE LEAK DUMPING AT LEAST HALF THE OIL ON THE GROUND AND ON THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THE TRUCK. OIL IS ON THE EXHAUST WHICH CAUSE A SMELL OF BURNING OIL WHICH CANNOT BE SAFE. MULTIPLE PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME ISSUES WITH THIS ENGINE AND PARTS ARE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND.
MY AIR RIDE SYSTEM HAS FAILED THREE TIMES MAKING THE TRUCK UNUSABLE AND AS I LOOKED INTO IT IT SEEM A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. THE TRUCK IS SITTING ON THE FRAME AND CAN NOT BE DRIVEN EVEN A FEW MILES...
PERSONALLY, JUST 3 WEEKS AGO. MY 3RD ENGINE FAILED. IT LOOKS LIKE THEY'RE GOING TO PUT A 4TH. I OWN A 2016 ECODIESEL 4X4 BIG HORN. ALWAYS TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER FOR MAINTENANCE AND NEVER DROVE IT ROUGH AND RARELY TOWED. 1ST ENGINE WENT OUT AT 55,747 MILES. 2ND ENGINE WENT OUT AT 112,482 MILES. 3RD ENGINE WENT OUT AT 144,806 MILES EVER SINCE THE 1ST ENGINE FAILURE. I'VE TRIED TO HAVE THEM BUY IT BACK WITH FCA REFUSING EVERYTIME. AFTER THE 1ST ONE. I KNEW THE SOUND YOU DESCRIBED AND KNEW THE ENGINE WAS ABOUT TO FAIL SO I STARTED RECORDING IT IN MY PHONE. NOW I HAVE 2 VIDEO DOCUMENTATION ON 2 SEPARATE FAILURES. LET'S SEE THEM TRY TO EXPLAIN THIS ONE. I'VE HAD A LAWYER INVOLVED NOW BECAUSE THEY DON'T LISTEN TO THE LITTLE GUY, SO NOW I HAVE TO TAKE THEM TO COURT. 2 OUT OF THE 3 TIMES MY ENGINE WENT OUT, I WAS ALMOST HIT FROM BEHIND AND HAD TO SWERVE OFF THE ROAD.
I INTERMITTENTLY LOOSE ALL POWER STEERING AND STRUGGLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. THERE IS A RECALL ON THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR MY MODEL AND YEAR TRUCK BUT ONLY FOR VERY SPECIFIED MANUFACTURED DATES, APPARENTLY MY TRUCKS WAS MADE EITHER BEFORE OR AFTER THESE DATES. ALTHOUGH FROM WHAT I'VE READ, MY TRUCK HAS SAME SYMPTOMS AS TRUCKS WHICH WERE MANUFACTURED IN THOSE SPECIFIC DATES. THE LOSE OF POWER STEERING HAPPENS AT LOW SPEEDS, HIGH WAY SPEEDS, COUNTRY ROADS AND CITY ROADS. WITH THE COMPLETE LOSS OF POWER STEERING AT RANDOM TIMES, I HAVE BEEN IN DANGEROUS SITUATIONS ON THE ROAD WHILE TRUCK THE TRUCK.
Since we got this truck in 2021 it hard starts once it hits half a tank or 200 miles until empty. We have taken it to the mechanic several times just to be told the fuel pump recall was the problem finally got that recall fixed when yall come up with one and it’s still doing it. This recall has been fixed since June 2,2024 and this vehicle barely runs unless kept between 3/4 and full. This needs to be fixed.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN MY VEHICLE STALLED. TOWED IT TO SHOP AND THEY DIAGNOSED IT WITH INTERNAL ENGINE FAILURE. A VALVE DROPPED INTO THE MOTOR RESULTING IN THE ENTIRE THING NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. VEHICLE HAS ONLY 38000 ON IT.
THE FUEL GAGE INTERMITTENTLY DROPS TO ZERO FUEL WHE THE TANK IS APPROXIMATELY HALF FULL OR LESS. BASED ON NUMEROUS SEARCHES THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM. THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY RECALL ITEM.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE RELUCTOR WHEEL AND CRANK POSITION SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT LEARNED OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V475000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 163,000.
MY TRUCKS GAS PUMP ICON STARTED FLASHING AFTER THE WARNING DINGER WENT OFF ON MY 2016 RAM 1500 CREW CAB SPORT. I THEN NOTICED MY GAS GAUGE SHOWED EMPTY. I CHECKED MY TRIP METER AND SAW THAT ONLY 86 MILES HAD BEEN DRIVEN SINCE I LAST FILLED UP. I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM ANCHORAGE AND IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PASS . IT WAS LATE, DARK AND SNOWING WITH NO CELL SERVICE AND NO GAS STATIONS FOR MILES, NEEDLESS TO SAY I WAS STRESSED OUT UNTILL I HAD MY TRUCK SCANNED THE NEXT DAY, AND THE ACTIVE CODE IS P0463, FUEL LEVEL SENSOR. I'VE DONE SOME RESEARCH AND IT SEEMS TO BE AN INHERENT PROBLEM WITH MANY DODGE VEHICLES, NOT JUST TRUCKS. I FEEL THE COMPANY SHOULD RECALL THEIR INFERIOR PARTS AND ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM. MY LOCAL DODGE DEALER HAS ONE IN STOCK FOR $197.90 BEFORE TAXES AND INSTALLATION. PROBABLY AT LEAST 3 HOURS LABOR. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR INVESTIGATING MY COMPLAINT.
I PURCHASED MY USED 2016 RAM 1500 BIG HORN A OF MONTH AGO IN THE END OF JANUARY 2021. IT HAD JUST OVER 70,000 MILES. WHEN I TEST-DROVE THE VEHICLE, IT RAN SMOOTHLY. AT LEAST I DIDN'T NOTICE ANYTHING ODD ABOUT THE WAY IT DROVE. THE CARFAX REPORT SAID IT HAD FOUR RECALLS, ONE OF WHICH WAS A FLASH/REPROGRAM OF THE COMPUTER MODULE. IT WASN'T LONG BEFORE I NOTICED, LIKE OTHER RAM 1500 OWNERS, THAT IT SEEMED TO LURCH FORWARD WHEN COMING TO A STOP. I ALSO NOTICED THAT SOMETIMES WHEN I LET OFF THE BRAKE, IT WILL IMMEDIATELY LURCH FORWARD BEFORE MY FOOT EVEN GETS TO THE ACCELERATOR. AT ONE INTERSECTION WHERE I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT, I BELIEVED THAT THE CAR BEHIND ME HAD REAR-ENDED ME. WHEN I STOPPED TO LOOK AT THE DAMAGE, THERE WAS NONE. I HAD NOT EVEN BEEN REAR-ENDED. ANOTHER PROBLEM I HAVE, IS THAT THE ENGINE SOUNDS AND FEELS LIKE IT IS STRUGGLING WHEN I AM CRUISING AT ABOUT 1,200-1,500 RPM'S, AS IF IT IS IN TOO HIGH A GEAR. WHEN I HIT THE ACCELERATOR TO PASS OR SPEED UP, IT HESITATES, DOWNSHIFTS AND EVENTUALLY ROARS TO LIFE. THEY KEPT THE VEHICLE OVERNIGHT. THEY DROVE IT AROUND. THEY TOLD ME TO COME AND PICK IT UP ON THE FOLLOWING DAY. WHEN I GOT THERE, THE SERVICE ASSOCIATE TOLD ME THAT THEY HAD "RESET THE ADAPTATIONS AND UPDATED THE TRANSMISSION SOFTWARE." THE 'ADAPTATIONS' IS APPARENTLY SOMETHING THAT THE COMPUTER DOES TO ADAPT TO THE DRIVER'S DRIVING HABITS. THEY SAID THAT THE VEHICLE WAS 'USED' TO THE DRIVING HABITS OF THE PREVIOUS OWNER, WHICH IS RIDICULOUS. I SPOKE WITH THE TRANSMISSION TECHNICIAN, WHO ALSO OWNS A RAM WITH THE 5.7L HEMI. HE TOLD ME THAT HIS DOES THE SAME THING, AND THAT "THEY ALL DO IT." HE SAID TO CHECK BACK IN A FEW MONTHS TO SEE IF DODGE HAS DISCOVERED A FIX FOR IT. NOW I AM STUCK WITH A $25,000, THAT HAS A PROBLEM THAT IS PUTTING ALL KINDS OF STRESS ON CRITICAL PARTS AND I HAVE NO RECOURSE.

-SUSPENSION FAILURE IN FEBRUARY 2020. REPLACED COMPRESSOR -FAILED EARLY JANUARY 2021. REPLACED COMPRESSOR. FAILED IN 1HOUR OF LEAVING THE DEALER. -REPLACED AIR SUSPENSION CONTROL MODULE. FAILED WITHIN 1HOUR OF LEAVING THE DEALER. -REPLACED FAULTY FACTORY COMPRESSOR. FAILED WITHIN 1HOUR OF LEAVING THE DEALER. FOUR AIR SUSPENSION FAILURES IN 3 WEEKS, AND 5 TOTAL IN ONE YEAR. VEHICLE DROPS DOWN ONTO THE BUMP STOPS UPON FAILURE CREATING AN UNSAFE AND UNBELIEVABLY HARSH DRIVING EXPERIENCE. RENDERS THE VEHICLE UNABLE TO DRIVE AT SAFE HIGHWAY SPEEDS. AND UNUSABLE TO TOW MY TRAILERS.
Air suspension randomly fails to inflate, 1 or multiple bags do not inflate. Drivability is very dangerous as you have no suspension keeping the tires on the ground when going over any bumps on the road. Steering can also be affected as it can lean to one side causing steering pull to that side that is deflated. Loss of control is a factor as well while turning and accelerating, with the harshness of no suspension keeping the wheels in contact of the ground, even little input to the accelerator will put unpredictable power to the wheels usually losing grip putting the vehicle into an oversteer event.
TRUCK DIED WHILE MERGING ON TO INTERSTATE. ALMOST REAR ENDED IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. MAGNETIC STRIP CAME APART AND STOPPED SENDING THE SIGNAL FOR FUEL,
ON OCTOBER 24, 2019 NHTSA ISSUED CAMPAIGN NO.19V757000, TO ADDRESS THE RAM 1500 ECODIESEL EGR COOLER MAY CRACK AND CAUSE FIRE. I OWN ONE OF THE RECALLED VEHICLES AND THOUGHT PROMPT ACTION WOULD BE TAKEN BY THE MANUFACTURER. I WAS INITIALLY TOLD THERE WAS A DELAY MANUFACTURING AND SHIPPING THE PARTS. I HAD MY NAME ADDED TO A LIST AT MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP LAST YEAR. UPON RECEIVING AN "URGENT SAFETY RECALL" NOTICE FROM FCA THIS WEEK, I CALLED THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD IT COULD BE UP TO A YEAR (OCT - NOV 2021 TIMEFRAME) BEFORE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE TO FIX MY VEHICLE. BASED ON ONLINE REPORTS, SOME OWNERS ARE HAVING THEIR VEHICLES FIXED QUICKLY, WHILE OTHER OWNERS, LIKE MYSELF, ARE BEING FORCED TO WAIT A UP TO TWO YEARS TO HAVE THIS SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE ADDRESSED. ALLOWING A POTENTIAL FIRE HAZARD TO BE DRIVEN ON PUBLIC ROADS IS NOT SOMETHING I WOULD EXPECT THE NHTSA TO CONDONE. THIS RECALL, AND OTHER SAFETY RELATED ISSUES (I.E., CRANK POSITION SENSOR FAILURE) WOULD SUGGEST THAT THE NHTSA MUST CONSIDER TAKING MORE IMMEDIATE AND STRONGER ACTIONS AGAINST FCA TO EITHER CORRECT, IN A MORE TIMELY MANNER, OR BUY BACK THESE VEHICLES AND REMOVE THEM FROM OUR PUBLIC ROADS.

I WAS DRIVING ON I 90 IN INDIANA. IT WAS RAINING AND THE ROAD WAS STRAIGHT. THE SERVICE ABS LIGHT CAME ON. A SHORT TIME LATER, I HEARD A NOISE AND SLOWED DOWN TO 50. THEN THE FRONT RIGHT TIRE EXPLODED. THE TIRE WAS RELATIVELY NEW (PAST JULY]) WITH LOTS OF TREAD. I PULLED ON TO THE SHOULDER AND GOT OUT TO SEE THE BRAKE GLOWING RED HOT AND SMOKING. I BELIEVE THE NOISE I HEARD BEFORE THE EXPLOSION WAS THE CV JOINT DISINTEGRATING. TRAFFIC WAS FLYING PAST AT 70 TO 80 MPH. I WAS IN 2 WHEEL DRIVE. THE TRUCK IS A 4X4.
MY 2016 DODGE RAM, REAR WINDOW BEGAN LEAKING DURING A HEAVY RAIN. WATER BEGAN RUNNING IN FROM THE TOP, PASSENGER SIDE OF TEAR WINDOW WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. MY SON IN LAW HAS A 2015 RAM. HIS REAR WINDOW HAD THE SAME PROB. WARRANTY FIXED IT. CHECKED INTERNET. SEEMS TO BE A VERY COMMON PROBLEM.
THE REMOTE START WILL START THE TRUCK WHEN FOB IS IN MY POCKET. PROBLEM---THE TRUCK HAS BEEN IN MY GARAGE AND STARTED A FEW TIMES. THIS COULD GAS US IN THE HOUSE! The contact indicated that after filling the fuel tank, the fuel gauge would read empty after using approximately a quarter of the fuel in the fuel tank. During the failure, the check engine warning light and low fuel warning light were illuminated. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 56,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V167000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 51,192.
I HAVE A LEAK IN FRONT WINDSHIELD SEAL, LEFT UPPER CORNER, NEVER HAD ACCIDENT, THE WINDSHIELD WAS NEVER TOUCHED PREVIOUSLY. IT ONLY HAS AROUND 14,000 MILES, MY CAR IS BARELY USED.
The Traction control flashed immediately before the wreck so my assumption is there was a traction lock malfunction. The road was wet due to rain. My husband was driving 55 mph when the truck's steering locked and we ended up in the right side ditch where we hit an electric power pole. My husband had several fractured ribs. My right lower arm was broken, required surgery and a week long stay in the hospital. They put a rod with screws into my arm. The truck was totally destroyed according to our insurance company.

20V-475 OR W58 RECALL TO REPLACE RELUCTOR WHEEL HAS BEEN PUBLIC SINCE AUGUST. TO DATE, FCA HAS PROVIDED NO INFO ABOUT TIMING OF A POSSIBLE SOLUTION. A FAILURE OF THE CRANKSHAFT RELUCTOR WHEEL DUE TO DELAMINATION RESULTS IN INSTANT ENGINE FAILURE. I HAVE HAD TO PARK THIS TRUCK FOR FEAR OF ENGINE FAILURE. NOW MY 5 YEAR POWERTRAIN WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED AS THE TRUCK SITS FOR MONTH AFTER MONTH. IF A REPLACEMENT IS EVENTUALLY INSTALLED, I SHOULD GET A WARRANTY EXTENSION TO MAKE UP FOR MY LOSS OF 4 MONTHS OF WARRANTY AND 4 MONTHS OF USE.
