WIRE HARNESS FOR FRONT HEAD LIGHTS DEFECTIVE. I WAS CHARGED $25.00 TO GET THE PASS SIDE FIXED SIX WEEKS AGO, NOW THEY WANT $200.00 TO FIX THE DRIVER SIDE FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. *TR
2008 SATURN OUTLOOK, PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT IS ON AGAIN, OFF AGAIN. I REPLACED THE LIGHT BULB, AND USED THE CORRECT "BULB GREASE" IN THE SOCKET, BUT THE WIRE HARNESS THAT POWERS THE LIGHT BULB LOOKS TO BE TOO LIGHT IN GAUGE TO POWER THE HEADLIGHT. THE BULB WILL LIGHT SOMETIMES, BUT THEN GO OUT FOR EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME, INDICATING A SHORT SOMEWHERE IN THE WIRING HARNESS. THE AMOUNT OF TIME THAT THE HEADLIGHT IS OUT HAS INCREASED INCREMENTALLY OVER TIME. THE PROBLEM BEGAN ABOUT 7 MONTHS AGO, WHILE THE VEHICLE HAD ABOUT 34000 MILES ON IT, AND I HAD ASSUMED IT WAS A FAULTY LIGHT BULB. I NOW HAVE OVER 39000 MILES ON THE TRUCK, AND AM READING OF A SIMILAR PROBLEM THAT OTHER OWNERS OF THE SAME VEHICLE ARE EXPERIENCING. I AM AFRAID THAT IF I BEGIN EXPERIENCING THE SAME LIGHT FAILURE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE, I WILL LOSE ALL VISIBILITY AT NIGHT. WITH 39000 MILES NOW ON THE TRUCK, I AM OUT OF WARRANTY, AND DREAD SEEING THE COST OF A REPLACEMENT WIRE HARNESS, AFTER HAVING REPLACED THE BULB THROUGH THE WHEEL WELL. *LN
THE GAS PEDAL ON MY 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK HAS STUCK IN THE FULL THROTTLE POSITION FOUR TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. THE LATEST WAS JUST TODAY WHEN I PULLED OUT INTO TRAFFIC AND TO MERGE WITH THEM I APPLIED FULL THROTTLE. WHEN I RELEASED THE THROTTLE THE CAR JUST KEPT ACCELERATING BECAUSE THE GAS PEDAL WAS STUCK UNDER THE FLOOR MAT. I HAD TO PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL, PULL OFF THE ROAD, AND ADJUST THE FLOOR MAT TO RELEASE THE GAS PEDAL. THIS IS EASILY REPRODUCIBLE AND HAS HAPPENED FOUR TIMES ALREADY. *TR
THE SUNROOF IS LEAKING WATER. HAD TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE THEY SAY THEY FIXED THE PROBLEM. I DO NOT BELIEVE IT IS FIXED. THIS ISSUE OF LEAKING SUNROOFS/ MOON ROOFS HAS CAUSED NUMEROUS PROBLEMS IN THE SAME MAKE/MODEL VEHICLES AND THE LEAKS CAUSED ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, MOLD ETC. IN THESE VEHICLES. I WILL NOT DRIVE MY VEHICLE ON DAYS IT LOOKS LIKE IT MIGHT RAIN FOR FEAR IT WILL LEAK AGAIN. AS I UNDERSTAND THIS PROBLEM CANNOT BE "FIXED" AND IT IS ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE MINE LEAKS AGAIN. MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS APPX 36000 MILES ON IT. I SHOULD NOT BE AFRAID OF DRIVING MY VEHICLE. I WANT MY MONEY BACK. *TR
FRONT HEADLIGHT ON RIGHT SIDE STOPPED WORKING, REPLACED LOW BEAM BULB, LASTED ABOUT 2 WEEKS, REPLACED IT A 2ND TIME, AGAIN LASTING ABOUT 1 WEEK. BROUGHT TO DEALER, THEY STATED THAT IT WAS A FAULTY WIRING HARNESS TO THE HEAD LIGHT AND IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. BROUGHT VEHICLE TO ANOTHER DEALER, WHO REPLACED WIRING HARNESS ON RIGHT SIDE UNDER WARRANTY. NOW THE LEFT SIDE IS OUT AND REPLACED BULB THAT LASTED 1 DAY. WIRING HARNESS NEEDS REPLACEMENT, WHICH I AM TOLD IS EXCESS OF $500.00. AS WARRANTY IS NOW EXPIRED. BOTH WIRING HARNESSES SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED AT THE SAME TIME, GM KNOWS OF THIS PROBLEM AND SHOULD HAVE A RECALL OF ALL MODEL WITH THESE LIGHTING PROBLEMS. *TR
THE PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM ON MY 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK WENT OUT. WE REPLACED IT THEN 2 WEEKS LATER IT WENT OUT AGAIN. WE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND HE SAID WE NEEDED TO REPLACE THE SOCKET BECAUSE IT WAS BURNED OUT AND THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR. I HAVE NOT YET CORRECTED THE PROBLEM BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE THE $750.00 TO REPAIR IT. *TR
I OWN A 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK, WHICH I PURCHASED NEW IN AUGUST OF 2007. IN FEBRUARY OF 2010, I NOTICED MY RIGHT LOW-BEAM HEADLIGHT/DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT WAS OUT. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL SATURN SERVICE CENTER AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE HAD BEEN "SOME PROBLEMS WITH THE WIRING HARNESS" AND I SHOULD BRING IT IN FOR A REPLACEMENT HARNESS, SINCE IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY, WHICH I DID. IN APRIL 2010, THE LEFT LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT/DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT WENT OUT. I AGAIN CONTACTED SATURN AND ASKED IF, ASSUMING THIS WAS THE SAME PROBLEM, IT WOULD BE COVERED BY WARRANTY, SINCE THEY HAD ALREADY ACKNOWLEDGED THAT A PROBLEM EXISTED WITH THIS HARNESS (THE VEHICLE WAS ABOUT 2,000 MILES OVER WARRANTY BY THIS TIME). I WAS TOLD THAT, SINCE THERE HAD BEEN NO RECALL, IT WOULD NOT BE A WARRANTY ITEM, AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS MYSELF. SINCE THE SATURN DEALER IS ABOUT 50 MILES AWAY, AND IT WAS NOT GOING TO BE COVERED BY WARRANTY, I OPTED TO HAVE IT REPAIRED AT A SHOP MUCH CLOSER TO HOME. AFTER DETERMINING THAT THE BULB WAS FUNCTIONAL, THEY ORDERED A NEW WIRING HARNESS, AND INSTALLED IT IN LESS THAN AN HOUR (TO THE TUNE OF $171.44). I ASKED TO SEE THE OLD HARNESS, AND UPON INSPECTION, I OBSERVED THAT THE HOUSING AROUND ONE OF THE CONNECTION POINTS WAS CLEARLY BURNT AND MELTED. I HAVE HEARD OF NUMEROUS OTHER REPORTS OF THIS FAILURE, MUCH LIKE THE RECALLED WIRING HARNESS FOR THE HEATED WINDSHIELD WIPERS. THIS HARNESS DEFECT CLEARLY IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. *TR
PURCHASED PRE-OWED 2008 OUTLOOK IN NOV OF 2009. FIRST SUNROOF/MOONROOF LEAKS NOTICED IN SPRING OF 2010. DRAINS WERE "FIXED", BUT CONTINUE TO HAVE MOLDY MUSTY SMELL TO VEHICLE AFTER HEAVY RAINS AND DRIVER SEAT FEELS WET. OTHER PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED WITH VEHICLE HAVE BEEN ENGINE CONTINUING TO RUN WITH KEY OUT, AIR BAG LIGHT ON, POWER STEERING PUMP FAILURE, REAR SPEAKERS ARE WATER DAMAGED, REAR AC HAS ALWAYS MALFUNCTIONED, MAIN AC IS NOW MALFUNCTIONING. NOT TO MENTION ALLERGIES SUFFERED FROM MOLD EXPOSURE. *TR
APRIL 2010, PASSENGER LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT WENT OUT. WAS PULLED OVER AND TOLD TO GET IT FIXED. WENT IN TO CHANGE THE LIGHT, BUT FOUND THE HARNESS WAS MELTED AND WIRES WERE FRAYED AND SHOWED SIGNS OF ARCING. I REPLACED THE HARNESS AND BULB. JAN 2014, TAKE CAR TO GET SAFETY INSPECTED AND GET TOLD THAT PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM IS OUT AND FAILED INSPECTION. FOUND EXACT SAME PROBLEM AS IN APRIL 2010, FRAYED WIRES AND SIGNS OF ELECTRICAL ARCING. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK. THE STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 50 MPH, THE PASSENGER'S SIDE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE FAILURE OCCURRED WHEN THE FRONT PASSENGER'S SEAT WAS OCCUPIED OR VACANT. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 14V118000 (AIR BAGS), HOWEVER THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

I HAVE A 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK AND THE HEADLIGHTS KEEP GOING OUT. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR INTO THE SHOP TWO SEPARATE TIMES AND HAD THEM FIXED. THREE MONTHS LATER IT DID THE SAME THING. THE DRIVER SIDE HEADLIGHT WENT OUT, THEN A WEEK LATER IT CAME BACK ON. TWO WEEKS LATER THE PASSENGER LIGHT WENT OUT FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS AND THEN IT CAME BACK ON. LAST NIGHT NEITHER OF MY HEADLIGHTS WERE WORKING. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY AN ISSUE HERE. TO ATE I HAVE SPENT NEARLY $700.00 ON GETTING THE HEADLIGHT TO WORK PROPERLY. I NEED THE VEHICLE TO WORK AS IT IS OUR ONLY VEHICLE. WHAT IF I WAS TO BE DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY AT NIGHT AND THEY BOTH WERE OUT, AN EMERGENCY ACCIDENT IS BOUND TO HAPPEN. PLEASE HELP. *TR
THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IN 2 YEARS I'VE HAD A HEADLIGHT FAILURE WITH MY 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK. FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED IN 2010, AND MOST RECENTLY A FEW DAYS AGO IN JAN 2013. THERE SHOULD BE NO REASON FOR THESE HEADLIGHTS TO FAIL SO FREQUENTLY. THEY NEED TO BE IMPROVED SO IT DOES NOT KEEP HAPPENING. IT IS A COSTLY REPAIR AND COULD BE DANGEROUS IF BOTH FAIL WHILE DRIVING. *TR
ORIGINAL OWNER, UNDER WARRANTY AT 21,036 MILES, HAD THEIR DEALERSHIP (MARK CHRISTOPHER AUTO CENTER, ONTARIO, CA 91764) DIAGNOSE AND CONFIRM/REPLACE INTERNAL RIVETS LOOSE, NECESSARY TO REPLACE DEFECTIVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY, 03/18/2010. WE ARE THE SECOND OWNER, AND OUR DEALERSHIP, POLAR CHEV OF WHITE BEAR LAKE, MN 55110, ALSO RECOMMENDS AGAIN REPLACING THIS DEFECTIVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY AT AN EXPENSE OF APPROXIMATELY $1,600, @ 62,000 MILES. WE FEEL GM KNEW OF THIS DEFECT BASED ON OTHER COMPLAINTS ONLINE (IE. SOCIALMEDIA@GM.COM AND CAC@SATURN.COM JUST TO NAME A FEW). WE FEEL WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPLACEMENT AND GM HAS PUT US ALONG WITH OTHERS, IN A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS DRIVING SITUATION! *TR
I HAVE A 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK. PURCHASED IN FEBRUARY 2008. THE FRONT PASSENGER HEADLIGHT WENT OUT IN THE END OF JANUARY 2010. IT WAS REPLACED ON FEB 6, 2010. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT THE HEADLIGHT SOCKET IS BURNED AND MAY NEED REPLACEMENT. IT IS NOW MARCH 16, 2010 AND THIS MORNING THE SAME HEADLIGHT IS OUT AGAIN!. THE COST TO REPLACE ONCE AGAIN IS ALMOST THE COST OF THE CAR PAYMENT AND NOW MOST LIKELY IT WILL COST MUCH MORE SINCE I WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THE SOCKET TOO. I MADE IT A POINT TO TURN OFF MY LIGHTS DURING THE DAY AFTER THE REPLACEMENT DUE TO THE RESPORT OF THE SOCKET YET IT STILL BURNED OUT. I HAVE READ THAT THERE ARE A NUMBER OF OUTLOOK OWNERS WITH THIS SAME ISSUE. *TR
SATURN OUTLOOK XR HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT WHEN WIRE ON LEFT FRONT HEADLIGHT MELTED WIRING.. THIS HAPPENED IN JANUARY 2010 WHEN THE RIGHT FRONT WENT OUT AND MELTED THE WIRING. COST TO REPLACE THE ONE IN JANUARY $640.00 AND WAS TOLD TODAY TO REPLACE THE LEFT FRONT WILL BE $750.00. THIS IS A DEFECT AND SHOULD BE RECALLED AS YOU CAN LOOK AT MANY WEB SITES AND MANY PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS PROBLEM. WE NOTICED THAT THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE ON HIGH BEAM ONLY. *TR
I OWN A '08 SATURN OUTLOOK THAT HAD TWO (2) HEADLIGHT WIRING HARNESSES MELT CAUSING BOTH HEADLIGHTS TO NOT WORK. CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATED THAT THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE BUT THERE HAS BEEN NO RECALL. EXACT TERM THAT WAS USED WAS "CAMPAIGN", BUT NOT RECALL. $477.00 PARTS / LABOR TO HAVE MY HEADLIGHTS WORK AGAIN. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY ISSUE DUE TO THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF THIS PROBLEM OCCURRING FOR YOU TO ALLEVIATE THE PROBLEM. AND THE ONLY WAY TO ACCESS THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY IS TO REMOVE THE WHOLE FRONT FASCIA (BUMPER) FROM THE VEHICLE. OF COURSE BOTH HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT AS I WAS DRIVING DURING NIGHTTIME HOURS IN THE DARK. PLEASE HELP MAKE THIS A SAFETY RECALL, DUE TO THE HUGE SAFETY CONCERN THIS POSES. *TR
WE HAVE A 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK AND HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE DIM LIGHT BULBS BLOWING ON EACH SIDE. I REPLACED THEM 3 DIFFERENT TIMES AND MY WIFE WAS COMING HOME FROM WORK THE OTHER NIGHT AND BOTH DIM HEADLIGHTS BLEW AT THE SAME TIME. I CARRIED IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAD TO REPLACE BOTH LIGHT HARNESSES AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME 300 DOLLARS FOR WHAT OUGHT TO BE A SAFETY RECALL. 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT GOING OUT. VARIOUS SATURN SITES HAVE REGISTERED COMPLAINTS ABOUT DEALERS CHARGING $600/$800 TO REPLACE LIGHT BULB. I AM WRITING TO TELL YOU ABOUT A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT I EXPERIENCED WITH MY SATURN OUTLOOK (VIN #[XXX]). MY FIRST ACCIDENT HAPPENED IN APRIL 2008. I WAS PARKING MY CAR IN MY GARAGE...AT A COMPLETE STOP....WHEN THE ACCELERATOR JUST TOOK OFF AT FULL SPEED AND SLAMMED INTO MY GARAGE WALL. AT THE TIME, WE FIXED THE CAR AND A DIAGNOSTIC WAS CONDUCTED WHICH DID NOT SHOW ANY PROBLEMS. I WAS ASSURED BY SATURN EMPLOYEES AND PROGRESSIVE EMPLOYEES THAT MY CAR WAS SAFE AND THAT IT WAS PROBABLY A FREAK ACCIDENT. I WAS RELUCTANT, BUT I TOOK THE CAR BACK. ON FEBRUARY 17, 2010 THE EXACT SAME ACCIDENT HAPPENED AGAIN! SAME SPOT IN THE GARAGE - ALMOST THE SAME DAMAGE AS THE FIRST ACCIDENT. THIS TIME I WAS FURIOUS. THE DAMAGES WE HAD TO PAY FOR INCLUDES: SHEETROCK FOR THE GARAGE $200 GARAGETEK WALL $150 GARAGETEK CABINET $220 3 FISHING POLES AND REELS $480 WORKBENCH $100 GENERATOR - BRAND NEW - $645.88 2008 INSURANCE DEDUCTIBLE - $1,000 2010 INSURANCE DEDUCTIBLE - $1,000 THE ABOVE ESTIMATE TOTALS $3945.88 AND DOESN'T EVEN COVER EVERYTHING THAT WAS DAMAGED...LET ALONE THE INCREASE IN MY INSURANCE. I CONTINUALLY HAVE AN ISSUE WITH A NON-WORKING DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT. I HAVE REPLACED THE LIGHT BULB TWICE, BUT THIS ONLY WORKS FOR 1-2 WEEKS BEFORE IT GOES OUT AGAIN. THE DEALER HAS IDENTIFIED IT AS A HARNESS SHORT WITH THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY, BUT THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. MY 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK HAD 39000 MILES ON IT WITH AND A MANUFACTURERS EXTENDED WARRANTY (GIVEN TO ME AS PART OF ANOTHER ONGOING WATER LEAK ISSUE THAT IS ALSO NOT COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY) AND THEY STATED THAT THIS IS NOT A COVERED ITEM. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH THE DEALERSHIP AND CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS A $500+ DOLLAR REPAIR THAT IS NOT COVERED ON A 2 YEAR OLD VEHICLE. MOST OF THE TIME I ONLY HAVE ONE WORKING HEADLIGHT AND THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE DONE SOME RESEARCH ON THE INTERNET AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A KNOWN AND ONGOING ISSUE THAT IS NOT BEING ADDRESSED BY GENERAL MOTORS. *TR
I AM WRITING THIS LETTER TO EXPRESS MY DISAPPOINTMENT WITH THE SATURN OUTLOOK. I PURCHASED A 2008 SATURN OUTLOOK XE FROM A LOCAL DEALERSHIP IN HOUSTON, TX. THIS CAR HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE. MY LIST OF PROBLEMS/REPAIRS: - IT OVERHEATED TWICE. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED, I REPLACED THE RADIATOR CAP. THE SECOND TIME IT HAPPENED, I REPLACED THE THERMOSTAT, WHICH IN TURN CAUSED THE WATER PUMP TO LEAK. - I REPLACED AN ENGINE SOLENOID VALVE. WHILE INSPECTING MY CAR, THE MECHANIC ALSO NOTICED I HAD A TRANSAXLE LEAK. - THE THROTTLE BODY SHORTED. - THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER LEAKED. - I REPLACED THE CV JOINTS. ACTUALLY, THE MECHANIC TOLD ME MY FRONT END NEEDED REPAIRING - CV JOINTS, STRUTS AND STEERING BUSHING. I COULD ONLY AFFORD TO REPAIR THE CV JOINTS AND AM CURRENTLY GETTING QUOTES FOR REPAIRS ON THE STRUTS. - I HAD AN OIL LEAK (FROM THE OIL PAN). OWNERS COMPLAIN OF THE SAME PROBLEMS REGARDLESS OF MODEL/YEAR (XE/XR, 2007-2010) - LEAKING ROOFS (LUGGAGE RACK), BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER LEAKS, POWER STEERING ISSUES, THERMOSTAT/WATER PUMP LEAKS, TRANSMISSION ISSUES, ETC. GM'S RESPONSE TO THIS HAS BEEN ABYSMAL. THIS CAR IS A LEMON. I PURCHASED THIS 2008 VEHICLE IN JULY 2008, USED BUT "NEW" WITH A BIT OVER 16,000 MILES ON IT FROM A DEALERSHIP IN SYRACUSE THAT IS NO LONGER ACTIVE. MY VEHICLE HAS ALWAYS BEEN WELL CARED FOR AND SERVICED ACCORDINGLY. STARTING JAN. 31, 2010, THE ENGINE BEGAN TO MAKE A LOUD KNOCK. IT DID NOT MATTER IF I WARMED THE VEHICLE, OR IF IT WAS WARM WEATHER OR COLD. ON SOME INSTANCES IT SEEMED TO NOT ACCELERATE ON THE HIGHWAY AS IT SHOULD. OFTEN HESITATING TO "GO". IT HAS BEEN INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOUR DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, FOR A TOTAL OF 21 DAYS OUT-OF-SERVICE CUMULATIVELY, SOON TO BE MORE. THE FIRST TIME THEY GAVE IT BACK THE NEXT DAY AS THEY STATED THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE NOISE. THREE DAYS LATER THE KNOCK WAS BACK. THE SECOND TIME IT WENT IN THEY HAD FOR 7 DAYS, COULD NOT DUPLICATE. 2 DAYS LATER BACK AGAIN...THE THIRD TIME THE DEALERSHIP LOCALLY HERE PUT A NEW TIMING CHAIN IN. THEY SAID IT WAS "SLACK". HOWEVER, THIS DID NOT FIX THE ISSUE. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO GO BACK IN FOR THE SAME ENGINE KNOCKING, ETC. BEFORE IT COULD GO IN I WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT WITH SMALL CHILDREN IN THE CAR ON A HIGHWAY AND HAD NO HEADLIGHTS. AFTER TAKING IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAY THE WIRING HARNESS MELTED AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHY. THEY TAKE THE VEHICLE IN AGAIN FOR A FOURTH TIME. TELL ME ITS FIXED. NEW WIRING HARNESS. NOW, THE VEHICLE IS IN WITH THE DEALER FOR THE 4TH TIME WITH BAD CAMS AND THE REBUILD OF THE ENGINE IS REQUIRED AGAIN (LESS THAN 23,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE). SATURN CLAIMS THAT IT APPEARS TO BE THE "REAR BANK OF CAMS THIS TIME" BUT IS STILL STRIPPING DOWN THE MOTOR. SATURN, ACADIA AND ENCLAVE USER FORUMS HAVE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS AGAINST THESE SISTER VEHICLES -- ALL MANUFACTURED BY GM. *TR
I WAS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY HEADLIGHTS AND WHEN I BROUGHT INTO THE SHOP I WAS TOLD THE WIRES WERE MELTED TOGETHER AND WOULD NEED TO REPLACE THE HARNESS. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY KNOW OF THE PROBLEM AND THAT I THEIR FIX WAS TO PUT NYOGEL GREASE ON THE CONNECTOR. I TRIED WHAT THE DEALER RECCOMMENDED WITH NO LUCK. I AM CURRENTLY STATIONED OVERSEAS AND HAVE NO WAY OF GETTING TO A DEALER TO HAVE ITEM REPAIRED. YESTERDAY 24 MARCH OTHER HEADLIGHT STOPS WORKING AS WELL WITH THE SAME ISSUE. THE VEHICLE IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD WITH 24,643 MILES. THIS IS COMPLETELY ABSUD THAT THERE IS NO RECALL ON THIS ISSUE.
