car just locking on its own as you're driving down the road cruise control light blinking on and off randomly had a brake light gets stuck when I got home and got other vehicle the other night it took you forever to get that off but I have received takata airbag recall notice do not drive and no one can be in the passenger seat also definitely progressed as time went on these unusual symptoms mostly computerized but have a hard time believing they're not related to the airbag recall yes it's available for inspection that's what I tried to do at not closest authorized dealership but they would not budge really on anything at all wouldn't have towed it then tow back wouldn't come pick it up exchange me a car then I would have means of transportation to pick it back up that makes the most sense but I can drive it is what they're telling me but there can be no passengers in the car they want me to bring it down there bottom line but it's nothing like the complimentary round trip towing or other transportation alternatives are available that is advertised on the do not drive paper I got in the mail and its not worth my time arguing with them I had an appointment scheduled on the 17th at 8:30 but that was me driving it down there maybe getting a loaner vehicle while I was there but there just didn't seem like there was no certainty on that but something's got to be straightened out here I can't have my children riding in this car or my wife she's pregnant and my grandmother has got to get to dialysis this week and here I'm stuck I'm trying to get this dealership to reason with me we never come to an appointment to be rescheduled because they don't want to work with me at all drive down there wait and bring it back is it should I contact another dealership right now I'm driving it sparingly to get groceries in a few things by myself but the more I looked into the situation and the bizarre computer errors any more details you need contact me sorry for the grammar errors
I REPLACED THE BATTERY ON 7/11/15. I NEEDED A SMOG CERTIFICATE THIS MONTH FOR MY REGISTRATION RENEWAL AND MY VEHICLE WOULD NOT PASS FOR CERTIFICATION. I HAD DRIVEN THE VEHICLE OVER 700 MILES AFTER BATTERY REPLACEMENT AND WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO DRIVE IT AN ADDITIONAL 50 TO 100 MILES NON-STOP TO RESET THE VEHICLE TO PASS THE INSPECTION. I ASKED AT THE DEALERSHIP CAN'T YOU RESET THE VEHICLE HERE SO THAT ALL THIS DRIVING AND MILEAGE IS NOT REQUIRED, THE DEALERSHIP STATED NO. THE VOLKSWAGEN HAVE A RESET BUTTON ON A PANEL BUT NOT THE SUBARU OR ANY OTHER VEHICLES. ALL VEHICLES SHOULD HAVE A RESET BUTTON AND THEY SHOULD BE RECALLED TO IMPLEMENT THIS FEATURE. ALL VEHICLES MANUFACTURED IN THE FUTURE SHOULD HAVE THAT FEATURE. THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED 11/3/15 THRU 11/5/15 HAVING TO SPEND $35.00 ADDITIONAL IN GASOLINE AND DRIVING ON THE CONGESTED FREEWAYS TO RESET THE VEHICLE AFTER BATTERY REPLACEMENT. I WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE TAKATA AIR BAGS IN MY VEHICLE. WHEN WILL THEY BE REPLACED? THANK YOU. I WAS TOLD THAT I HAVE A TAKATA AIR BAGS IN MY VEHICLE BY THE MANUFACTURER. WHEN WILL THEY BE REPLACED? *TR
LEFT AND RIGHT CYLINDER HEAD GASKETS WERE BLOWN AT 41,295 MILES. LOW MILEAGE FOR THIS TYPE OF MAJOR ENGINE FAILURE. AT 56,976 MILES THE IGNITION COIL, SPARK PLUGS AND IGNITION CABLES REQUIRED REPLACEMENT DUE TO MIS-FIRE CONDITION ASSOCIATED WITH A CRACKED IGNITION COIL. THE EXACT SAME FAILURE OCCURRED AT 81,856 MILES. BOTH FAILURES WERE ACCOMPANIED BY BLINKING CHECK ENGINE LAMPS REQUIRING THE VEHICLE BE TOWED TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR. REPEAT FAILURE OF MAJOR COMPONENTS REFLECTS PERSISTENT DEFECTS IN DESIGN OR MANUFACTURE.
LEFT LOW BEAM HEADLAMP WAS OUT AND DETERMINED TO BE OVERHEATED/PARTIALLY MELTED CONNECTOR. HAPPENED TWICE. *TR
I WAS MAKING A SLOW SPEED (~25 MPH) LEFT TURN WITH MY 2007 SUBARU IMPREZA 2.5I STATION WAGON ON A DIMLY LIT INTERSECTION AT NIGHT DURING THE RAIN. I MISJUDGED THE TURN, AND TURNED ABOUT 2 YARDS TOO EARLY. I DROVE OFF THE ROAD AND INTO A DITCH, COLLIDING HEADON WITH A CONCRETE STORM DRAIN. THE DRIVER SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED AT THE MOMENT OF IMPACT. AFTER THE IMPACT, THE ELECTRICAL INCLUDING THE HEADLIGHTS, STEREO SYSTEM AND CABIN LIGHTS WERE FUNCTIONING. I WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE CAR, AND SPOKE WITH A WITNESS WHO WAS ABLE TO CALL THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. WHILE WAITING FOR THE OFFICERS, ABOUT 6 MINUTES AFTER THE COLLISION THE FRONT OF THE CAR BEGAN TO SMOKE. ABOUT A MINUTE LATER, A FIRE BEGAN BEHIND THE RIGHT PASSENGER SIDE HEADLIGHT. WHEN THE OFFICERS ARRIVED ON SCENE, THE FIRE HAD PROGRESSED SO THAT THE ENTIRE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS ON FIRE. BY THE TIME THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED, THE HEAT OF THE FIRE HAD EXPLODED THE RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER TIRE. THE CAR WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS BY MY INSURANCE COMPANY. *TR
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM THAT CONTROLS THE LIGHTS AND LOCKS WENT ON AND OFF OR FLICKS ON AND OF WITHOUT NOTICE. THE DEALER CANNOT FIND THE PROBLEM. THE TURBO SYSTEM WAS REPLACED AND NOW IS DEFECTIVE AGAIN. *TR
