OUR PRE-OWNED 2017 SUBARU OUTBACK'S BATTERY DIED A FEW DAYS AFTER WE HAD PURCHASED THE CAR AT THE DEALERSHIP WITH 41,000 MILES, MARCH 2020. WE TESTED THE BATTERY AND IT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, WHICH WE DID OURSELVES. WHEN WE CALLED OUR DEALERSHIP WHERE HE PURCHASED THE CAR, THE DEALER TOLD US THEY COULD NOT CHANGE THE BATTERY. THE CAR DIDN'T GIVE US ANY MORE PROBLEMS UNTIL THIS MORNING WHEN WE FOUND THE BATTERY DEAD AGAIN. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN USED ON REGULAR BASES AND IT WAS PARKED OVERNIGHT AND WE ARE CERTAIN THAT WE DIDN'T LEAVE ANYTHING OPEN.
WENT TO START MY CAR IN THE GARAGE, AND THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. A NEW BATTERY WAS INSTALLED 4 WEEKS PRIOR TO THE CAR NOT STARTING.
VEHICLE SUFFERS FROM UNKNOWN ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS THAT CAUSE FREQUENT BATTERY DRAIN, WITHOUT SOMETHING OBVIOUS LIKE A DOME LIGHT BEING LEFT ON. DESPITE BATTERY REPLACEMENT, DEAD BATTERIES ARE A COMMON PROBLEM LEADING TO NOT BEING ABLE TO START THE CAR IN POTENTIALLY UNSAFE AREAS (OFF HOURS, FAR AWAY FROM ASSISTANCE, ETC). SEEMS LIKE A NEW CAR SHOULDNT HAVE TO REPLACE ITS BATTERY THIS FREQUENTLY.
BATTERY DRAINS REPEATEDLY, SOMETIMES TWICE IN A DAY. ALSO REAR GATE HAS TWICE BEEN OPEN IN THE MORNING AFTER LOCKING CAR AT NIGHT AND STORING FOB WELL AWAY FROM VEHICLE. LASTLY, CAR NO LONGER CHARGES MY IPHONE AND HAS 'BLOWN' TWO CHARGING CABLES, ONE BRAND NEW.
PASSENGER SIDE ON WINDSHIELD GOT CRACKS ABOUT 2 FEETS WHEN WE ARE DRIVING ON I5 NEAR SACRAMENTO CITY 6/26/2020 DRIVING TOWARD LA
The contact owns a 2017 Subaru Outback. The contact stated that while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start. The vehicle was jump started. The contact had the battery replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed; however, the mechanic found not fault with the vehicle. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 40,000.
THE WINDSHIELD HAS CRACKED FOR NO APPARENT REASON TWICE IN THE LAST YEAR. THE FIRST TIME WAS IN JUNE OF 2019. TODAY I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE, AND I NOTICED A SMALL CRACK COMING FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE BOTTOM AND BEGAN INCREASING IN SIZE AND STARTED CURVING. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED IN JUNE OF 2019, I NOTICED A SMALL CRACK JUST BEHIND MY REAR VIEW MIRROR COMING DOWNWARD. OVER A FEW DAYS TIME, IT INCREASED IN SIZE, CURVED AND SPIDER WEBBED. I HAD THAT WINDOW REPLACED BY A COMPANY WHO REPLACES WINDOWS RECOMMENDED BY THE LOCAL SUBARU DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT MY CAR. THEY USED A SUBARU WINDSHIELD WHEN THEY REPLACED THE CRACKED WINDSHIELD IN JUNE OF 2019. *TR
WINDSHIELD CRACKED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I ARRIVED HOME AND PARKED MY CAR. THE NEXT DAY WHEN I GOT IN THE CAR I HAD A HUGE CRACK STARTING AT PASSENGER SIDE GOING TOWARD DRIVERS SIDE. *TR
WINDSHIELD CRACK ON 2017 SUBARU OUTBACK REQUIRING THOUSANDS IN REPAIR. THE REPAIR WINDSHIELD CONTAINS THE SAME DEFECT. THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF A ROCK OR ANYTHING HITTING THE WINDSHIELD.
WINDSHIELD CRACKED WITHOUT WARNING OR IMPACT. WE WOKE UP TO FIND APPROXIMATELY A 12 INCH L SHAPED CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD STARTING BELOW THE BOTTOM EDGE OF THE WINDSHIELD. *TR
WHEN THE CAR IS IN PARK AND I TRY TO REMOVE THE KEY IT WILL NOT RELEASE. HAVE TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON BACK UP, PUT IT IN DRIVE AND ACCELERATE FORWARD, SOMETIMES SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE THE KEY WILL RELEASE. *TR
THE WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED WITH NO CHIPS VISIBLE.
MY WIFE AND I WERE TRAVELING ON I-26 EAST BOUND, JUST NORTH OF ITS INTERSECTION WITH I-95 IN SC, WHEN WE HEARD A POP AND NOTICED THAT THE WINDSHIELD HAD CRACKED. IT WAS NOT A RESULT OF ANY ROAD DEBRIS BECAUSE THERE WERE NO VEHICLES IN OUR IMMEDIATE VICINITY. *TR
THE BATTERY HAS WEAKENED. I WOULD DRIVE TO CHARGE IT. TODAY THE BATTERY WAS COMPLETELY DEAD AND THE CAR HAD TO BE JUMP STARTED TO TAKE TO THE DEALER. THEY CHECKED THE BATTERY AND SAID THAT THEY FOUND NO PROBLEMS, HOWEVER THE PASSENGER WINDOW STILL DOES NOT WORK WITH THE CONTROL. I HAVE LESS THAN 23,000 MILES ON THE CAR. *TR
THE VEHICLE'S BATTERY DRAINS VERY QUICKLY AND NEEDS A JUMP START. HAS BEEN A CONTINUOUS ISSUE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. WE HAVE HAD TO BUY A JUMP START KIT. DEALER SAID THE BATTERY IS FINE AND CANNOT DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE. SAMS CLUB AND A NISSAN DEALERSHIP HAVE BOTH SAID THE BATTERY WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. *TR
THERE WAS A CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD. THE WINDSHIELD WAS REPLACED AT THE SUBARU DEALERSHIP. ABOUT 10 DAYS LATER AFTER THE REPAIR, THERE WAS ANOTHER CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD IN THE SAME EXACT PLACE AS THE PREVIOUS ONE. IT APPEARED RANDOMLY OVERNIGHT FOR NO APPARENT REASON. *TR
BATTERY DRAIN IS UNUSUAL. BATTERY LIFE SHORTENED SEVERELY AS A RESULT
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 SUBARU OUTBACK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR BOX FAILED TO RECOGNIZE WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN PARK WHICH CAUSED THE KEY TO NOT BE ABLE TO BE REMOVED FROM THE IGNITION. THERE WAS NO WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE SUBARU OF KENNESAW DEALER LOCATED AT 905 ERNEST W. BARRETT PKWY NW, KENNESAW, GA 30144, WHERE IT WAS STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS A KNOWN ISSUE AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE CONTACT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WERE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE FAILURE AND THAT THE DEALER WOULD BE CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 93,700.*DT*DT CONSUMER WAS REIMBURSED FOR THE REPAIR.*JB
MY WINDSHIELD HAS CRACKED NOW THREE TIMES UNDER CIRCUMSTANCES THAT ARE UNCLEAR. EACH CRACK HAS APPEARED IN THE LOWER CENTER ZONE OF THE CAR AND EACH HAS REACHED A DIAMETER GREATER THAN 6 INCHES.
I HAVE HAD TWO BRAND NEW SUBARU OUTBACKS. MY FIRST WAS A 2015 AND MY SECOND IS A 2017 OUTBACK. MY 2015 HAD 4 BROKEN WINDSHIELDS IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS. MY 2017 HAS HAD 3 BROKEN WINDSHIELDS IN 3 YEARS. ALL TOGETHER I HAVE HAD 7 BROKEN WINDSHIELDS IN 5 YEARS. SOME HAPPEN WHEN THE CAR IS NOT IN MOTION AND SOME HAVE HAPPENED WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION. ALL THE BREAKS BEGIN SOMEWHERE AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE WINDSHIELD (UP TO ABOUT 3-4" FROM THE EDGE. I CAN'T TELL WHAT IS CAUSING THE CRACKS TO HAPPEN BECAUSE THERE IS EITHER NO INDICATION OF ANYTHING STRIKING THE WINDSHIELD OR THERE IS A TINY "FLICK" CRACK SOUND AS IF A SPECK OF SAND HIT THE WINDSHIELD. I HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM TO YOU BEFORE WHEN I OWNED THE 2015 OUTBACK. I SEE THAT THERE ARE NOW 2 CLASS ACTION SUITS PERTAINING TO THIS. HOPE THIS CAN BE REMEDIED. *TR
DEFECTIVE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CAUSING BATTERY DISCHARGE AND GOING DEAD. BATTERY NEEDS REPLACED AND KEEPS GOING DEAD.
PARKED MY LEASED 2017 OUTBACK IN MY DRIVEWAY LAST NIGHT WITH NOTHING OVERHEAD, NO TREES, ETC. THIS MORNING THERE WAS A LARGE CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD WHICH BEGAN AT THE BOTTOM OF THE GLASS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE AND CONTINUED ON FOR OVER 15 INCHES. TOTAL MYSTERY. *TR
I AM 1 OF MANY OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE ELECTRICAL RENDERING A DEAD BATTERY. REPLACING BATTERY AND CONSTANTLY CHARGING AT THIS POINT IS THE ONLY WAY TO GET YOUR VEHICLE TO RUN. AT THIS POINT THE BATTERY IS DEAD EVERY MORNING IN THE GARAGE. *TR
THE WINDSHIELD JUST CRACKED BY ITSELF WHILE NOT MOVING. I GOT IN THE CAR TO START IT AND HEARD A CRACK. IT STARTED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDSHIELD BEHIND THE TRIM AND WENT UP THE WINDSHIELD ABOUT 10 INCHES. SENSE THEN IT HAS SPREAD.
AT 35 MONTHS, THE ORIGINAL BATTERY IN MY OUTBACK SUDDENLY DIED AND WOULD NOT START THE CAR. I CAN JUMP START THE VEHICLE. AFTER JUMPING THE VEHICLE AND DRIVING AROUND FOR 30 MINUTES, THINGS SEEMED OK & THE CAR STARTED 2 HOURS AFTER BEING DRIVEN. THE NEXT MORNING HOWEVER, IT WAS TOTALLY DEAD. SUBARU SERVICE TOLD ME I NEEDED TO DRIVE IT AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS FOR AT LEAST 45 MINUTES. SO, I JUMPED IT AGAIN AND DROVE THE VEHICLE FOR 2 HOURS AT HIGHWAY SPEED. SHORTLY AFTER I RETURNED FROM THIS TRIP, I HAD THE BATTERY TESTED AT AN AUTO PARTS STORE. I WAS TOLD BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR WERE OK, BUT IT STILL NEEDED CHARGING. THE CAR DID START ABOUT 6 HOURS AFTER RETURNING FROM THIS TRIP. HOWEVER, THE NEXT MORNING THE BATTERY WAS TOTALLY DEAD. I'M CURRENTLY TRYING TO WORK THROUGH THIS WITH A SUBARU DEALERSHIP, AND HAVE AN APPOINTMENT IN 2 WEEKS. IN THE MEANTIME, WILL TRY TO KEEP THE OUTBACK IN SERVICE WITH A TRICKLE CHARGER, AND JUMP STARTS AS NECESSARY. *TR
MY WINDSHIELD HAS CRACKED WITHOUT BEING HIT BY ANYTHING ACROSS THE BOTTOM NEAR THE WIPERS. MY BATTERY CONTINUES TO DIE FOR NO REASON THAT I CAN FIND, EVEN AFTER I HAVE REPLACED IT. I DON'T LEAVE THE LIGHTS ON OR ANYTHING AND I CAN COME BACK TO MY CAR AND I HAVE TO JUMP IT. I HAVE ALSO BEEN IN IT AFTER DRIVING IT, STOPPED AND TURNED THE CAR OFF AND LISTENED TO THE RADIO AND 10 MINUTES LATER I GO TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON AND IT'S COMPLETELY DEAD. AFTER I GET IT GOING THE GATE WILL BEEP CONTINUOUSLY WHILE IT IS STILL CLOSED AND I HAVE TO RESET THE WHOLE VEHICLE TO GET THE BEEPING TO STOP. I TOOK IT TO GET CHECKED AND THEY TOLD ME TO REPLACE THE BATTERY. WHEN I GOT THE BATTERY CHECKED FOR POWER NOTHING SEEMED TO BE WRONG WITH THE BATTERY. AND YET THIS CONTINUES TO HAPPEN.
VEHICLE BOUGHT IN 2017. IN 2018, BATTERY DRAINED THREE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS: TWICE, I HAD TO CALL ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE; THIRD TIME, ANOTHER PERSON HELPED ME START MY CAR. I HAPPENED ON 9/30/18, AFTER PARKING OUTSIDE AN ANIMAL HOSPITAL. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO GET IT CHECKED AND I WAS EXPLAINED THAT THE BATTERY DOESN'T CHARGE ENOUGH DURING SHORT TRIPS. I OPTED TO BUY A CAR STARTER PORTABLE BATTERY, GIVEN THE FREQUENCY AND INCONVENIENCE OF GETTING STUCK IN PLACES. I ORDERED IT ON OCTOBER, 2018. I DON'T RECALL HOW MANY TIMES I USED THE CAR STARTER KIT IN 2019. HOWEVER, IN 2020, IT HAS BEEN ALREADY 4 TIMES I'VE HAD TO USE IT TO START MY CAR: ONCE ON 04/04/2020 AND SINCE THEN, OTHER THREE TIMES. ONCE AFTER BEING PARKED FOR A FEW DAYS, AND TODAY, 05/09/20, TWICE: AFTER STOPPING, WAITING TO DRIVE INTO A FERRY, AND THEN, TO START THE CAR TO LEAVE THE FERRY. *TR
WITH NO WARNING AND DRIVING 70 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL RESULTED IN NOTHING. DASHBOARD LIGHTS STARTED INDICATING 'BRAKE' AND OTHER DISTRACTING MESSAGES. I WAS IN THE FAR LEFT LANE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, BUT WAS SOMEHOW ABLE TO CROSS OVER TWO LANES WITHOUT A COLLISION AND MAKE IT PART WAY UP A RAMP. CAR WAS TOWED INTO A SUBARU DEALER WHO FOUND A 'BROKEN VARIATION CHAIN'. A NEW TRANSMISSION WAS INSTALLED FOUR DAYS LATER. I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE IN THIS VEHICLE OR ANY WITH THIS TRANSMISSION NOW THAT I HAVE READ ABOUT ALL IT'S ISSUES. WHY DID I NOT HAVE A WARNING SINCE IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM? IMPORTANTLY, WHY IN THE MIDST OF A POTENTIALLY LIFE ENDING EMERGENCY DID I NOT GET A MEANINGFUL DASHBOARD WARNING, E.G., 'PULL OFF ROAD', 'POWER LOST', 'TRANSMISSION FAIL'?
WINDSHIELD CRACKED IN A "T" WHILE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN GARAGE WITH NO APPARENT ROCK CHIP IN WINDOW. *TR
KEY STUCK IN THE IGNITION AFTER ENGINE TURN OFF AND IN PARK. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 SUBARU OUTBACK. THE CONTACT STATED THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT DOES NOT FULLY RETRACT ALL WAY BACK AFTER USE, WHICH CAUSED THE SEAT BELT TO GET STUCK INTO THE DOOR CAUSING DOOR JAMS AND DENTS INTO THE DOOR FRAME OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO A LOCAL DEALER CAPITOL SUBARU (920 CAPITOL EXPRESSWAY AUTO MALL, SAN JOSE, CA 95136) WHO COULD NOT DIAGNOSE OR REPAIRED THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 43,300.
WHEN STATIONARY, THE REAR LIFT GATE OPENS WITHOUT BEING NEARBY OR ACTIVATING SWITCH. ONE TIME AFTER THE GATE OPENED, IT APPARENTLY DID NOT SHUT PROPERLY. AFTER ABOUT 10 DAYS, THE CAR BATTERY DIED. THE BATTERY WAS 6 MONTHS OLD. AFTER RESTARTING THE CAR, GATE HAD TO BE MANUALLY UNLOCKED FROM THE INSIDE. *TR
THE IGNITION KEY GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION. CAN NOT GET OUT HAS HAPPEN ON MANY CARS MINE AND MINE DAUGHTERS. SUBARU HAS ISSUED SUBARU SERVICE BULLETIN 16-112-18R AND REPLACE THE FAULTY PART BUT WANT HUNDREDS TO DO THIS. THIS HAPPENS A LOT, AND WILL GET WORSE TILL I AM FORCED TO PAY.
TWICE OVER TWO WEEKS, THE CAR'S BATTERY WAS DISCHARGED ENOUGH TO THE POINT THAT IT REQUIRED A JUMP START. THE FIRST TIME (0411/2020) WAS AFTER A 30 MINUTE CAR RIDE, IT FAILED TO START ON ITS OWN. THE SECOND TIME (04/25/2020) IT SAT OVERNIGHT IN THE GARAGE AND FAILED TO START. BOTH OCCURRENCES REQUIRED THE VEHICLE TO BE JUMP-STARTED
MY WIFE CAME OUT OF WORK AND NOTICED A LARGE CRACK RUNNING FROM THE TOP/CENTER OF THE WINDSHIELD DOWN AND TOWARDS THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED FROM 6:30 AM TO 3:30 PM AND WAS NOT NEAR ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE WINDSHIELD WAS CRACK FREE ON HER DRIVE INTO WORK AND SHE DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING HIT THE WINDOW WHILE DRIVING. THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF ANY SORT OF IMPACT ON THE WINDSHIELD AND THERE WAS NO DEBRIS (I.E STICKS, PINECONES, ROCKS) ON THE VEHICLE WHEN SHE CAME OUT OF WORK. VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN A SMALL PARKING LOT ON THE AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE WHERE SHE WORKS.
THE WINDSHIELD CRACKED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE WINDSHIELD THE SPIDER WEB CRACKED ACROSS WINDSHIELD. *TR
VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED 30 DEC 2016. FULL WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT BY SUBARY DEALER ON 11APR2018, 1 YEAR 3 MOS FROM INITIAL PURCHASE DUE TO A SMALL ROCK HITTING WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, PASSENGER SIDE, LOWER CORNER EDGE. 31OCT2019, 1 YEAR 6MONTHS SINCE FULL REPLACEMENT, ANOTHER CRACK APPEARS IN THE WINDSHIELD, LOWER SECTION, MIDDLE OF WINDSHIELD. THIS TIME WE WE HAD THE SPOT FILLED BECAUSE IT WAS VERY MINOR AND HAD NOT "SPIDERED". 18APRI2020, 6 MONTHS SINCE LAST CRACK, ANOTHER CRACK FROM ROCK WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, DRIVER SIDE LOWER CORNER EDGE. IT SPIDERED ON IMPACT TO THE POINT THAT WE WILL HAVE TO HAVE THE ENTIRE WINDSHIELD REPLACED BY THE DEALER. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING SINCE WE HAVE HAD SEVERAL DIFFERENCE VEHICLE BRANDS AND THIS IS THE ONLY CAR THAT HAS HAD REPEAT CRACKING OF THE WINDSHIELD. THERE MUST BE A DESIGN FLAW.
BATTERY APPEAR TO BE PREMATURELY DEAD, I HAD TO CALL THE SUBARU FOR A JUMPSTART
BATTERY DIED TWICE WHEN CAR WAS INACTIVE FOR ONE WEEK. BOTH TIMES HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY.
WINDSHIELD SPONTANEOUSLY CRACKED WHILE PARKED OVERNIGHT ON THE DRIVEWAY.
BATTERY FLAT TWICE OVERNIGHT TWO DAYS IN A ROW DESPITE DEALER CHECKING OUT ISSUE AND TELLING ME BATTERY WAS FINE. FINALLY REPLACED BATTERY. NOW LEARN THAT THERE IS ONGOING ISSUE.
My car wouldn't turn on in April of 2020. When I opened the hood there was corrosion around the top of the battery. The battery was dead and had to be replaced. I bought the car new at the end of 2017 from a dealership.
BATTERY HAS BEEN REPLACED 4 TIMES. DEALERSHIP REPLACES BATTERY, AND IT'S DEAD WITHIN 3-4 MONTHS. OR THEY RECHARGE, AND AGAIN, DEAD IN A FEW MONTHS.
IF THE VEHICLE SITS UNUSED FOR 2-3 DAYS, THE BATTERY IS COMPLETELY DRAINED AND THE CAR WILL NOT START. I'VE HAD THE ISSUE HAPPEN EVEN AFTER 24 HOURS BEFORE. THE BATTERY EITHER HAS TO BE DISCONNECTED IF I AM NOT GOING TO BE DRIVING FOR A FEW DAYS, OR JUMPED. I ONLY NOTICED THIS ISSUE BECAUSE, DUE TO COVID 19, EIGHT MONTHS AGO I STOPPED DRIVING MY CAR EVERY DAY. I PURCHASED A BRAND NEW BATTERY TO REPLACE THE OLD ONE AND THE ISSUE STILL OCCURS.
MY CAR IS A 2017 SUBARU OUTBACK. SINCE I'VE HAD IT X 3 YEARS,, THE BATTERY HAS DRAINED ABNORMALLY THREE TIMES AND I'VE HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY 3 TIMES. I'M NOT LEAVING IT ON AND DEFINITELY NOT LEAVING ANY LIGHTS ON ACCIDENTALLY. I ONLY HAVE 23,000 MILES ON IT. BATTERY MANUFACTURER STATES MY BATTERY SHOULD BE GOOD FOR AT LEAST 5 YEARS, ESPECIALLY AT THE AMOUNT I'M DRIVING PER YEAR. SO EACH INCIDENT OCCURS WHEN I TRY TO START MY CAR AND IT DOESN'T TURN ON. THE CAR IS STATIONARY AND NOT INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENTS. IT WAS PARKED EACH TIME THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED BUT THIS SITUATION MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS IN THE CAR. IT MAKES THE CAR UNRELIABLE. I'M USUALLY STUCK IN A PARKING GARAGE AT WORK OR HOME AND LAST TIME WAS ON THE STREET AND HAD TO GET A TOW TO THE MECHANIC.
MY 2017 SUBARU OUTBACK HAS PARASITIC BATTERY DRAIN THAT KILLS THE BATTERY. THE CAR WON'T START MAKING THE VEHICLE UNRELIABLE. THIS IS A ROUTINE ISSUE WITH SUBARU AND NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.
SUNROOF EXPLODED WITH A FAIR SIZE HOLE IN IT! ALSO, THE WINDSHIELD GLASS HAS CRACKED LINES IN IT. STATED WITH A SMALL STONE DING AND NOW HAS EXPENDED TO A CRACK LINE HALD WAY ACROSS THE WINDSHIELD. TO ME, SUBARU HAS A GLASS ISSUE WITH MY 2017 SUBARU OUTBACK. THE AUTO HAS ALL OF THE SAFETY FEATURES, SO REPLACING THE WINDSHIELD IS NOT CHEAP, DUE TO THE SENSOR CAMERAS. THE ROOF BLOW OUT HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING IT. ALSO, THE SMALL STONE DING OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING IT AS WELL. ALL OCCURRED WHILE DRIVING THE SUBARU ON CITY STREETS. SUBARU DID REPLACE THE SUNROOF AT NO COST; THE OUTBACK WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THE WINDSHIELD STARTED TO CRACK SHORTLY AFTER HAVING SAFE LITE REPAIR THE DING. THAT OCCURRED ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO.
CVT TRANSMISSION AT 35326 MILES STARTED DISTRIBUTING POWER INDISCRIMINATELY TO ANY OF THE 4 WHEEL CAUSING INSTABILITY AND SHAKING WHEN DRIVING. VERY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL WHEN DRIVING. TRANSMISSION REQUIRES REPLACEMENT.
LARGE CRACK IN WINDSHIELD APPEARED OUT OF NOWHERE. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY.
WINDSHIELD LARGE CRACK DEVELOPED UNEXPECTEDLY FROM VERY SMALL CHIP WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY. WINDSHIELD HAD BEEN REPLACED WHEN PURCHASING THE CAR 4 MONTHS EARLIER.
