WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 45 MPH AND COMING TO A STOP SIGN STEPPED ON BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP, BUT VEHICLE DID NOT STOP, AND CRASHEDINTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. UPON IMPACT, AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY, CAUSING INJURIES TO CONSUMER.*AK
VEHICLE STALLED WHILE TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH IN TRAFFIC. SECOND TIME HAPPENED ON MAY 5, 2001 WHILE TRAVELING AT APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH. DEALERSHIP COULD NOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF DEFECT ON EITHER OCCASION. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/ATTACHMENTS.*AK
DRONE AND VIBRATION AT 60-70 MPH. DEALER ATTEMPTED 4 TIMES TO FIND THE PROBLEM, FINALLY REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION WHICH THEY SAY CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. WE WANT THEM TO BUY THE CAR BACK.*AK
BLOWER MOTOR FOR THE VENTILATION GOT DEBRIS CAUGHT. THIS CAN SHUT THE MOTOR OFF. IT STARTED MAKING LOUD VIBRATION NOISE FROM A 1/2 INCH LEAF. MANUFACTURER SAID THEY WOULD ONLY TAKE CARE OF IT IF IT WAS A FAULTY PART.*AK
VEHICLE HAD A CRACKED BATTERY THAT CAUSED ACID TO LEAK ALL OVER THE ENGINE AND CORRODED THE COOLANT RESERVOIR. *SLC
RECENTLY I WAS CLEANING THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE AND I ACCIDENTLY BUMPED THE REAR VIEW MIRROR. IT WAS A FAIRLY LIGHT TAP AS WOULD BE FOUND IN TYPICAL CLEANING WITH A CLOTH OF THE INTERIOR OF A VEHICLE. UPON IMPACT THE REAR VIEW MIRROR BROKE AWAY FROM THE WINDSHIELD SHATTERING FRAGMENTS OF GLASS ALL OVER THE FRONT SEATS OF THE CAR. I WAS A LITTLE SURPRISED THAT IT CAME OFF SO EASILY AND I WAS VERY SURPRISED THAT IT BROKE THE GLASS OF THE WINDSHIELD IN THE PROCESS. *AK
CONSUMER WAS SITTING STILL, ABOUT TO MAKE A LEFT TURN AND ANOTHER VEHICLE CAME HEAD-ON TRAVELING 35MPH. AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY. DEALER WANTED TO CEHCK VEHICLE BEFORE CLAIM WAS SUBMITTED. DEALER WASN'T OFFERING A LOANER VEHICLE.*AK

HIT HARD OBJECT IN ROAD. RIGHT REAR TIRE ACTED AS THOUGH IT WAS DEFLATED. AFTER PULLING TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, DISCOVERED DENTED RIM THAT ALSO SEPARATED INTO TWO PARTS LENGTHWISE (IN A COMPLETE CIRCUMFERENCE AROUND 15" RIM). *AK
THREE WEEKS AFTER PUCHASING THE VEHICLE, CONSUMER COMPLAINED THAT THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING ROUGH AND IRREGULARLY, AT THAT TIME THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO INSPECT THE VEHICLE, SOON AFTER THE CONSUMER WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT IN WHICH SHE WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE, A WEEK AFTER THE ACCIDENT CONSUMER RECIEVED NOTIFICATION WHICH ADVISED OF A DEFECTIVE CRUISE CONTROL THROTTLE LINKAGE CLIP, CONSUMER BELIEVES THE DEFECT CAUSED THE ACCIDENT (ATTORNEY FOR CLIENT). THE 2000 CAMRY LE WITH 15" BRIDGESTONE POTENZA TIRES I PURCHASED NEW IN AUG. OF 2000 VIBRATES AT SPEEDS OF 65MPH AND ABOVE. THE DEALER SERVICED THE CAR (ONLY 900 MILES ON IT), AND SAID THE VIBRATION MUST BE A TIRE PROBLEM AND SENT ME TO A TIRE DEALER. THE TIRE DEALER SAID THE TIRES WERE GOOD BUT ONE WHEEL WAS OUT OF BALANCE. THE ROAD TEST INDICATED A SMALL IMPROVEMENT AND THE TOYOTA SERVICE DEPT. SAID IT'S NOT OUR PROBLEM, IT'S A TIRE PROBLEM; BUT BALANCED THE WHEELS ON A JAGUAR SERVICE DEPARTMENT'S WHEEL BALANCING MACHINE. THE VIBRATION SEEMS TO HAVE IMPROVED SLIGHTLY, AND TOYOTA SERVICE HAS SCHEDULED A TOYOTA REPRESENTATIVE TO TEST DRIVE THE CAR IN OCTOBER 2000. IT WILL BE HELPFUL IF YOU CAN INFORM ME OF ALL SIMILAR COMPLAINTS (I FOUND 3 AT YOUR WEBSITE) ON THIS VEHICLE.
UPON TEST DRIVE, TRANSMISSION IS CONSIDERED FAULTY. A SECOND "NEW" TRANSMISSION IS ORDERED TO REPLACE THE REPLACEMENT. *CJ

I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE 2 TIRES AT ONLY 22,000 MILES AND HAVE BROUGHT IN MY VEHICLE FOR THE SAME PROBLEM MULTIPLE TIMES. I HAVE HAD REPEATED ALIGNMENTS, BALANCING AND ROTATION OF TIRES WITH NO RESULTS. *AK
IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE FIRST CAR WASH, THE AIR VENTS CONTINUOUSLY EMITT A ODOR COMPARABLE TO DIRTY, OLD RAGS AS A RESULT OF MOULD, MILDEW AND BACTERIAL ACCUMULATION, INITIATED BY MOISTURE THOUGHOUT THE SYSTEM. *CJ
THE A/C HAS STOPPED WORKING ON THIS VEHICHLE 4 TIMES.THE 10AMP BLOWER MOTOR FUSE ALWAYS SHORTED OUT AND STOPPED THE SYSTEM FROM WORKING.IF YOU ATTEMPT TO REPLACE THE FUSE WHILE THE SYSTEM IS STILL HOT IT WILL BLOW THE FUSE.THIS HAS BEEN LOOKED AT AND ALWAYS NOTHING IS FOUND.THEY DID REPLACE THE BLOWER MOTOR THINKING THIS COULD BE THE PROBLEM.THE PROBLEM PERSISTS AND I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A SERIOUS ONE .THIS IS USED NOT ONLY FOR COMFORT BUT TO DE-FOG THE WINDOWS TO INCREASE VISIBILITY ON THE ROADWAYS.TOYOTA PLEASE DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO FIX THIS.
STEERING WHEEL BECAME CROOKED FROM HAVING SO MANY FRONT END ALIGNMENTS. CONSUMER WAS CONCERNED THAT THE BOLT IN THE STEERING WHEEL WAS LOOSE.*AK
I WAS VERY SUPRISED TO SEE THAT WHEN I DID HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME THE AIR BAGS DID NOT COME OUT OR DEPLOY, OUR SEATBELTS DID NOT LOCK. NO ONE WAS HURT. GOD FORBID THIS TO HAPPEN AGAIN BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW IF THE AIR BAGS WILL COME OUT THE NEXT TIME OR THAT THE SEATBELT WILL LOCK UP. I WAS GOING ABOUT 75 MPH ON INTERSTATE 45 BETWEEN PARKER AND CROSSTIMBERS, THERE WAS AN ACCIDENT THAT OCCURED ON THE SHOULDER-I WAS IN THE LEFT LANE AND ALL OF A SUDDEN EVERYONE STARTED BRAKING. I FELT I STOPPED IN ENOUGH TIME. I SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES AND SLID A GREAT DISTANCE BEFORE HITTING THE MINIVAN IN FRONT OF ME. A SCRATCH ON THE BLACK BUMPER IS ALL THAT HAPPENED TO THE MINIVAN. IF I PRESSED ON THE BRAKES, WHY DIDN'T THE SEAT BELTS LOCK, WHY DIDN'T THE AIRBAG COME OUT? I DON'T KNOW.

7/24/00 823 MILES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON INTO SHOP REPLACED VALVE BODY. 9/1/00 3,177 MILES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO SHOP RESET AND RETURNED.10/26/00 4,976 MILES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT - TO SHOP-RESET AND RETURNED. 11/7/00 5,408 MILES - ENGINE CHECK LIGHT - TO SHOP-REPLACED TRANSMISSION AND TORQUE CONVERTER. 4/17/01 13,320 MILES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT - TO SHOP -RESET AND RETURNED. 4/30/01 14,624 MILES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT - TO SHOP - REMOVED VALVE BODY-DISASSEMBLED AND CLEANED, REPLACED TORQUE CONVERTER AND FLUSHED TRANSMISSION. THE SAME CODE HAS COME UP EVERY TIME P0770 -SHIFT SOLENOID "E" MALFUNCTION.*AK

WHILE BACKING OUT OF PARKING SPACE, A SECOND VEHICLE COLLIDED INTO BACK PASSENGER SIDE. THE COLLISION WAS LESS THAN 5 MPH AND EXTENSIVE DAMAGE WAS DONE TO BACK BUMPER OF THE VEHICLE. *YH
CONSUMER'S SHOULDER BELT TWISTS & DOES NOT LAY STRAIGHT. VEHICLE HAS A SAFETY FEATURE THAT RETRACTS THE SEATBELTS BACK IF AN ACCIDENT OCCURRED. TOYOTA BASICALLY REPLIED THAT'S THE WAY IT WAS DESIGNED. THE CONSUMER SAID THAT SEAT BELT WAS UNCOMFORTABLE & UNSAFE.*AK
WHILE DRIVING CONSUMER APPLIED BRAKES AND THEY LOCKED UP, FORCING VEHICLE IN TO A DITCH ON THE ROAD.*AK
WHEN BRAKE WERE APPLIED UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS THEY LOCKED UP, RESULTING IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. MANUFACTURER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED.*AK
WHEN BRAKES WERE APPLIED VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. DRIVER HAD TO TURN IGNITION OFF TO STOP VEHICLE. DEALER INSPECTED VEHICLE, AND WAS NOT ABLE TO DUPLICATE PROBLEM. *AK
CONSUMER APPLIED JACK THAT WAS FURNISHED BY TOYOTA. HE JACKED VEHICLE UP, PULL TIRE OFF, AND CAR FELL DOWN TO THE PAVEMENT. MADE A WHOLE IN THE PAVEMENT.*AK
WE BOUGHT OUR CAMRY 2000 10 YRS AGO WHEN IT WAS BRAND NEW. AFTER 2-3 YEARS, WE STARTED TO EXPERIENCE THE GAS PEDAL STICKING ONCE EVERY FEW MONTHS, SOMETHING LIKE SUDDENLY LOST THE POWER WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGH WAY. SINCE LAST YEAR, THE GAS PEDAL STARTED TO GET MUCH WORSE AND STICKS ALMOST EVERY TIME WE STOP/RESTART THE CAR BEFORE TRAFFIC LIGHT AND DURING HEAVY TRAFFIC. NOW MY WIFE AND I ARE VERY AFRAID TO DRIVE THIS CAR AND BELIEVE IT WILL CAUSE HUGE PROBLEM SOONER OR LATER. I JUST READ THE NEWS ABOUT TOYOTA'S RECALL FOR THE SAME ISSUE, AND NOW I BELIEVE IT IS DUE TO THE VEHICLE DESIGN WHICH HAS CAUSED THIS SAFETY ISSUE. I JUST CALLED THE LOCAL DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME ONLY CAMRY 2007 TO 2010 MODELS WERE COVERED. BUT I BELIEVE OUR CAR HAS EXACT SAME PROBLEM AS THE LATER MODEL AND I WOULD REQUEST YOUR ADMINISTRATION TO ADVICE TOYOTA TO ISSUE THE RECALL CERTIFICATE FOR PREVIOUS MODELS ALSO BEFORE ANY UNFORTUNATE ACCIDENT HAPPENS DUE TO ITS FAULTY DESIGN. *CN

SUSPENSION NOISE FROM RIGHT FRONT END WHEN GOING OVER SPEED BUMPS, ACCELERATING FROM A STOP AND AFTER MAKING LEFT TURNS. HEAR GAS MOVEMENT FROM FUEL TANK WHEN TANK IS FULL AND ACCELERATING FROM A STOP OR GOING OVER SPEED BUMPS. DEALERS SAY CAR PERFORM TO SPECS. CURRENTLY IN THE PRE-ARBITRATION STAGE WITH TOYOTA.
ON 21 JUNE 2000 MY WIFE AND I OPENED THE TRUCK OF THE CAR IN ORDER TO OFF LOAD A BUCKET OF SUPPLIES. SHE WAS LEANING INTO THE TRUCK WHEN THE TRUCK CAME CRASHING DOWN ON HER HEAD. BLOOD BEGAN POUR DOWN HER FACE AND SHE ALMOST PASSED OUT FROM THE FROCE OF THE BLOW. I TOOK HER TO THE HOSPITAL AND THEY CLOSED THE CUT USING 4 STAPLES. I INFORMED THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY DIDN'T SEEM TO CARE. "SAYING IT IS NOT OUR PROBLEM". MY WIFE SUFFERS FROM HEADACHES DUE TO THAT INCEDENT. SHE WILL UNDERGO FURTHER TESTS.
FRONT PASSENGER SEATBELT HAS BROKEN THREE TIMES IN TWO MONTHS. BELT JAMS WHEN PASSENGER LEANS FORWARD WHILE WEARING THE BELT (THE BELT THEN HANGS LOSE). BELT SEEMS TO TWIST OR FOLD OVER AT THE POINT WHERE IT COMES OUT OF THE SIDE OF THE CAR. SPEED DURING FIRST INCIDENT - ABOUT 40 MPH AND BRAKING, SECOND INCIDENT 55 MPH, THIRD INCIDENT 0 MPH (AT A STOP LIGHT). DEALER INITIALLY REPLACED THE BELT, BUT ONLY "UNTWISTED" IT THE SECOND AND THIRD TIMES. SERVICE TECH AT DEALERSHIP TELLS ME IT'S A "DESIGN FLAW" AND IS GOING TO KEEP HAPPENING IF I'M NOT "CAREFUL" WITH THE SEATBELT. SERVICE DEPT SAY THEIR HANDS ARE TIED, CAN'T DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN FIX IT WHEN IT DOES BREAK - AND THEY SAY IT WILL PROBABLY WILL BREAK AGAIN. THEY RECOMMENDED THAT I CALL TOYOTA CUSTOMER RELATIONS IN CA - THEY SIMPLY MADE A REPORT AND TOLD ME TO WORK THE PROBLEM OUT WITH MY DEALERSHIP. I'M VERY CONCERNED THAT THE SEATBELT WILL FAIL DURING AN ACCIDENT.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE BETWEEN 60-70 MPH, THERE WAS A LOT OF SHAKING AND VIBRATION IN FRONT END. ALSO, WHEN APPLYING BRAKES IT PULLED TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TAKEN TO TWO DEALERSHIPS 5 TIMES. ALL THE TIRES HAVE BEEN CHANGED TWICE, BALANCED 5 TIMES, BRAKES ADJUSTED TWICE AND WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS DONE TWICE. PROBLEMS WITH THE VEHICLE CONTINUES. *AK
TOYOTA'S REGIONAL TECH. REP TELLS ME HE KNOWS OF NO OTHER SIMILAR PROBLEMS. OBVIOUSLY, FROM READING THIS WEBSITE THAT IS NOT TRUE. I AM PURSUING THE LEMON LAW IN MY STATE.
HELLO, I HAVE A 2000 TOYOTA TOCOMA 4X4 THAT I PURCHASED THIS PAST APRIL. FOR THE PAST MONTH I HAVE HAD TROUBLE WITH THE FIRESTONE WILDERNESS AT TIRES THAT WERE ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ON THE TRUCK. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE TOYOTA DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE TRUCK TO HAVE THE TIRES LOOKED AT. THE TIRES WERE MAKING A THUMPING NOISE. THIS WAS BEFORE I HAD HEARD ABOUT THE PROBLEM FIRESTONE WAS HAVING. THE DEALER TOLD ME TO TAKE THEM TO FIRESTONE TO HAVE THEM LOOKED AT, WHICH I DID. THE FIRESTONE DEALER TOLD ME THAT THE TIRES WERE LOW ON AIR (THE 26 PSI THAT THE TOYOTA DEALER TOLD ME TO RUN THE TIRES ON), AND THAT THE FRONT TIRES HAD EXCESSIVE WEAR. FIRESTONE SAID THE TIRES SHOULD HAVE 32 PSI. FIRESTONE REPLACED THE TIRES COSTING ME $56.00 OF MY OWN MONEY. THE VERY NEXT DAY I COULD NOT EXCEED 55 MPH WITHOUT THE STEERING WHEEL AND FRONT END SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLY. I NOTIFIED FIRESTONE AND THEY FOUND THE TWO NEW TIRES WERE BAD ALSO. THEY REPLACED THOSE WITH YET ANOTHER TWO NEW TIRES. I SEE NOW FIRESTONE IS RECALLING WILDERNESS AT TIRES HOWEVER, THEY ARE ONLY RECALLING SIZE P235/75R15. THE ORIGINAL TIRES ON MY TRUCK WERE WILDERNESS AT 265/75R15, SO I GUESS IM NOT INCLUDED. WITH ALL THE TROUBLE I HAVE HAD WITH THESE TIRES, I FEAR DRIVING ANY LONG DISTANCES WITH THEM EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE NOT THE SIZE BEING RECALLED. ADDITIONALLY, MY WIFE REFUSES TO RIDE IN THE TRUCK UNTIL WE REPLACE THE FIRESTONE TIRES. I CANNOT AFFORD AT THIS POINT TO PURCHASE ALL NEW TIRES. I HAVE ASKED TOYOTA TO REPLACE THE TIRES ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT FIRESTONE IS RESPONSIBLE. I WOULD STILL LIKE TO REPLACE THESE TIRES WITH SOMETHING LIKE GOODYEAR ATS TIRES OF THE SAME SIZE AND STYLE. STEERING WHEEL VIBRATION - MILD TO SEVERE AT/OVER 60MPH AT ALL TIME (DURING HWY DRIVING); OVER 10 VISITS TO TOYOTA SERVICE CENTERS AT 3 DIFFERENT LOCATIONS DURING 8 MONTHS, TOYOTA CERTIFIED MECHANICS COULD NOT FIX IT PROPERLY; MECHANICS CLAIMS IT'S BEEN FIXED. BUT STEERING WHEEL VIBRATION REAPPEARS AFTER 1 - 2 DAYS LATER WHILE DRIVING; MECHANICS DIAGONOSED THIS PARTICULAR STEERING WHEEL VIBRATION AS A "SIMPLE/COMMON PROBLEM" BUT THE VIBRATION KEEPS ON COMING BACK; AFTER BALANCING TIRES-ROTATING TIRES-SUSPENSION WORK DONE-REPLACING BREAK PADS WITH NEW-CLEANING ROTORS-ETC., THE STEERING WHEEL VIBRATION STILL REMAINS. *AK
THE DAY AFTER PURCHASING THE CAR WE NOTICED A THUMPING COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. WE RETURNED THE CAR TO THE DEALER TO CHECK IT OUT. UPON EXAMINATION, THEY SAID WE NEEDED NEW REAR STRUTS. THEY ONLY REPLACED THE STRUT CAPS. SHORTLY AFTER, WE FILLED THE GAS TANK, AS IT WAS WHEN WE RECEIVED THE CAR, AND REALIZED THE THUMPING SOUND WAS STILL PRESENT. WE RETURNED TO THE DEALER AGAIN. THIS TIME THEY SAID WE NEEDED A NEW FUEL TANK, A TECHNICIAN THEY CALLED IN CALIFORNIA TOLD THEM THIS. AFTER CHANGING THE FUEL TANK, THE THUMPING SOUND IS STILL PRESENT. NEXT THEY BROUGHT IN A SPECIAL TECHNICIAN, WHO EXAMINED OUR CAR AND SAID IT WAS COMPLETELY NORMAL. NOW WE BEGAN THE PROCESS OF THE MASSACHUSETTS LEMON LAW. TOYOTA NOW WANTED TO EXAMINE THE CAR ONE FINAL TIME WITH A REGIONAL REP AND ANOTHER TECHNICIAN. THEY BOTH HEARD THE THUMPING AND DECIDED THE REAR SWAY BAR NEEDED ADJUSTMENT, AND THIS WOULD SOLVE OUR PROBLEM. NO SUCH LUCK, THE THUMPING NOISE IS STILL OCCURING. WE ALSO HAVE FOUND THE TRUNK IS NOT FLUSH WITH THE REAR FENDERS. THE TECHNICIANS SAY IT WAS JUST INSTALLED WRONG AND CAN BE CORRECTED. IT SEEMS ALL OUR PROBLEMS ARE IN THE REAR END OF THE VEHICLE, AND STILL AFTER ALMOST 3 MONTHS NOTHING IS RESOLVED.
WHEN THE INSIDE OF THE CAR GETS HOT (SUN SHINES DURING THE DAY) THE A/C ON LIGHT WILL FLASH AND THE A/C DOES NOT WORK. THE A/C BLOWS HOT AIR. THE A/C WILL BEGIN WORKING AGAIN IF THE CAR IS OUTSIDE OF THE SUN IN A GARAGE OR IF IT'S CLOUDY.
WHEN I BOUGHT THE CAR TEXAS WAS IN A DROUGHT SO UNTIL IT STARTED RAINING HERE IN DALLAS I DID NOT KNOW THE CAR HYDROPLANED. I CHECKED THE AIR IN THE TIRES I DID ALL I COULD DO TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT AND THEIR WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR OTHER THAN THE TIRES. I REPORTED THIS TO TOYOTA SITE, I TOLD THE GUY WHO SOLD ME MY CAR, I SENT AN EMAIL TO GENERAL TIRES, TOYOTA NOR GENERAL TIRES EMAILED ME BACK. I HAVE ABOUT 22,000 MILES ON THE CAR NOW THE TIRES ARE WORE IN THE FRONT SO BEFORE I GO ON VACATION IN JUNE I WILL HAVE TO PURCHASE NEW TIRES. SO FAR I HAVE KEPT CONTROL OF THE TIRE ONE TIME I DID SLIDE INTO THE CURB AND THOUGHT WE WERE GOING TO FLIP, BUT THANK GOD NOT TOYOTA OR GENERAL WE DID NOT. I DON'T HAVE ANY CLAIMS AGAINST ANYONE, BUT THIS CAR OR THESE TIRES ARE NOT SAFE AND SOMETHING DOES NEED TO BE DONE ABOUT IT. WHILE DRIVING AT 35 MPH THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION BEGAN TO SLIP WITHOUT WARNING. WHEN TRYING TO START THE VEHICLE THE FOLLOWING DAY, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NOT ENGAGE. VEHICLE TAKEN TO DEALER, NOTHING UNUSUAL COULD BE FOUND, BUT TRANSMISSION PAN WAS REINSTALLED AND FLUID REPLACED. PROBLEM HAS NOT REOCCURRED SINCE, ALTHOUGH DEALER WARNS IT COULD REOCCUR AT ANY TIME. *AK *ML
WHEN OPENING TRUNK LID TO USE THE TRUNK, LID WILL FALL WITHOUT A WARNING, SOMETIMES FALLING ON THE CONSUMER. *AK *ML
ENGINE RUNNING WITH TRANSMISSION IN PARK POSITION, CAR ROLLED DOWN A HILL. TWO SMALL GIRLS INSIDE OF CAR JUMPED OUT, ONE GIRL GOT RAN OVER BY FRONT TIRE. CAR CONTINUED TO ROLL DOWN THE HILL UNTILL IT HIT A TREE. *AK
ODOR OF SULPHURIC ACID ENTERS PASSENGER COMPARTMENT WHEN CAR STOPS. REPORTED TO DEALER, WHO FIRST STATED PROBLEM CAUSED BY UNDERCOATING BURNING OFF. ON SECOND COMPLAINT TO DEALER, ADVISED SMELL IS FROM "OXYGENATED GAS". THIS RESPONSE IS UNACCEPTABLE AS EXHAUST SHOULD BE EXPENDED AWAY FROM PASSANGER COMPARTMENT. *AK
