MELTED AND STICKY DASHBOARD.
WHIE DRIVING THE DASHBOARD IS VERY REFLECTIVE AND BLINDING. THIS IS BECAUSE OF THE STICKINESS SUBSTANCE. IT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE NOT HAD A ACCIDENT BUT I DON'T USE THE CAR DURING THE DAY TIME BECAUSE THE SUN IS ALWAYS OUT SHINY IN TEXAS WHERE I RESIDE AND I DON'T WANT TO HAVE A ACCIDENT.
DASHBOARD IS DANGEROUSLY REFLECTIVE AND FEELS STICKY TO TOUCH. THE GLARE IS BLINDING WHEN DRIVING.
ABS ACTUATOR FAILED FOR NO APPARENT REASON. MANY WARNING LIGHTS CAME ON SUDDENLY WHILE NORMAL DRIVING. THE LIGHTS INCLUDED SLIPPAGE, ABS, CHECK VSC, AND EMERGENCY BREAK. THE BREAK ACTION RESPONSE WAS DIMINISHED. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM TO TOYOTA, AND THEY EXTENDED THE WARRANTY, BUT OURS IS BEYOND THE NEW EXTENSION WINDOW. COST TO REPAIR IS $1,600
MY CAMRY PASSED THE OIL CONSUMPTION TEST IN MARCH 2015 AT RICK HENDRICK TOYOTA, SANDY SPRINGS GEORGIA. I INFORMED THE TECHNICIAN THAT IT SHOULD OF FAILED BECAUSE I WAS ADDING OIL BETWEEN MAINTENANCE VISITS. IN DECEMBER 2019 MY CAR IS BURNING OIL FASTER THAN EVER. THE DEALERSHIP (RICK HENDRICK TOYOTA IN SANDY SPRINGS GEORGIA ) ADMINISTERED ANOTHER OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. I AM STILL DOING THE TEST. HOWEVER, THE MANAGER TOLD ME THE RECALL HAS EXPIRED AND I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY REPAIRS OR ENGINE REPLACEMENT. I AM THE FIRST AND ONLY OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE, IT HAS 145,000 MILES. I SHOULD NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MANUFACTURERS DEFECT AND POSSIBLE OVERSIGHT OF TOYOTA CERTIFIED TECHNICIANS.
I WAS DRIVING AT ABOUT 25MPH ON MONTGOMERY DRIVE IN PHILADELPHIA (CITY STREET) IN THE MORNING OF 12/9/2019. IT WAS RAINING LIGHTLY. THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME WAS ABOUT 4 TO 5 CAR-LENGTHS AHEAD. IT BRAKED AS ANOTHER CAR TRIED TO CUT IN, AND I ALSO IMMEDIATELY BRAKED. MY BRAKE FELT GRINDING AND MY CAR CONTINUED TO SLIDE INTO THE BACK OF THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME.
BACK SEAT DRIVER SIDE SEAT BELT IS STUCK IN LOCKED POSITION. IT WILL NOT COME UNBUCKLED SO BASICALLY HAVE NO SEAT BELT FOR THAT SEAT
THE DASHBOARD OF MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY IS VERY STICKY. WHILE DRIVING I RECEIVE A GLARE ON MY EYES COMING FROM THE DASHBOARD. VERY UNSAFE TO DRIVE. I READ MANY COMPLAINTS OF CAMRY OWNERS ABOUT THIS ISSUE. MY CAR IS ALWAYS GARAGED SO IT RECEIVE LESS EXPOSURE TO THE SUN.
THE MELTING DASHBOARD WHICH CAUSES A SHINE WHICH REFLECTS INTO DRIVERS VISION IS A DANGER!!!! THE FACT THAT TOYOTA ALLOWS THIS TO GO ON, AND DOES NOT REMEDY IT FOR THOSE THAT (FOR WHATEVER REASON) MISSED THE NOTICES SENT OUT IS A DISGRACE, AND A DANGER TO NOT ONLY THE DRIVER, BUT EVERYONE ON THE ROAD!! HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE STILL DRIVING CARS WITH THIS ISSUE?? THESE ARE ACCIDENTS JUST WAITING TO HAPPEN! MY MOTHER'S CAR DASHBOARD DID NOT BEGIN TO "MELT" UNTIL AFTER THE NOTICES WERE SENT, SO SHE DIDN'T THINK THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH HERS....SURPRISE!!! IT HAS NOW BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS OR MORE. TOYOTA ONLY WANTS CUSTOMER TO PAY FOR REPAIR OUT OF POCKET. THIS WILL BE THE LAST TOYOTA IN OUR FAMILY!
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT A SLOW SPEED, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE FORCEFULLY. THE CONTACT STATED NO WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO DRIVE NORMALLY. THE CONTACT STATED HE WAS ABLE TO DRIVE TO HIS RESIDENCE. THE CONTACT STATED ON NOVEMBER 23,2019, WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATOR ON IT'S OWN AND CRASHED INTO A FIRE HYDRANT. THE CONTACT STATED THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY AND THE SEAT BELT DID NOT RETRACT ON IMPACT. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE. THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER DEEMED THE VEHICLE WAS LOSS. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO INSURANCE LOT. THE CONTACT DID NOT SUSTAINED ANY INJURIES OR SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE CONTACT CALLED LOCAL DEALER PLAZA TOYOTA LOCATED AT 2721 NOSTRAND AVE, BROOKLYN, NY 11210, (347) 554-6000, WERE MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. WHILE DRIVING MY 2007 CAMRY ON A TOWN HIGHWAY, I SMELLED SOMETHING BURNING. SMOKE STARTED TO FILL THE CABIN, AND I SAW A GLOWING FLAME WHERE THE SEAT WARMER BUTTON IS, ON THE CONSOLE. IMMEDIATELY, I TURNED OFF THE SEAT WARMER BUTTON. I LOOKED FOR A PLACE TO PULLOVER, HEARD A LOUD POPPING SOUND, SAW A LARGER FLAME AND BLACK SMOKE FILLED THE CAR. I PULLED OVER TO A SHELL STATION, CALLED 911, AND A MAN WITH FIRE EXTINGUISHER SPRAYED THE NOW CONSIDERABLE FIRE BURNING . THE BATTERY WAS DISCONNECTED AFTER THE FIRE WAS OUT, AND THE DAMAGE TO THE CAR IS NOT REPAIRABLE. A TOW CAR BROUGHT IT HOME. THE FIRE WAS ELECTRICAL WHEN IT STARTED AND THEN ESCALATED QUICKLY. . MY QUESTION IS WHY DID THE FUSE NOT BLOW TO PREVENT THE FIRE? THANK GOD I WAS IN A TOWN NEAR A SERVICE STATION AND NOT ALONE ON AN ISOLATED ROAD. THE FIRE GREW VERY QUICKLY. THIS JUST HAPPENED THIS EVENING ON 11/19/19. IT WAS A DEFINITE SAFETY ISSUE, AND IT WAS PRETTY FRIGHTENING HOW QUICKLY THE FIRE ESCALATED. I AM GOING TO CONTACT TOYOTA ABOUT THIS MALFUNCTION AS WELL. THE CASE # BY THE ST. JAMES PARISH SHERIFFF'S OFFICE IS SJP19002613. I CALLED 911 AND 4 POLICE CARS AND FIRE TRUCK WERE DEPLOYED AND CAME TO THE SCENE.
I WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT WERE I WAS HIT FROM THE BACK PUSHED IN TO ANOTHER VEHICLE WE'RE MY CAR WAS TOTALED YET MY AIRBAGS DID NOT COME OUT. NOT ON SIDES OR FRONT. I WAS AT A COMPLETE STOP AT A STOPLIGHT BEHIND FOR OTHER CARS THEN A CAR CAME OUT OF NOWHERE FULL SPEED AT LEAST 30 40 MILES AN HOUR IN MY ESTIMATION HOWEVER HIT ME HARD ENOUGH TO PUSH ME INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I WAS ON THE FEEDER ROAD DIRECTLY OFF OF THE HIGHWAY GOT A COMPLETE STOP.
DRIVING ON STREET APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION WHERE I WAS TURNING LEFT AND HAD A GREEN LIGHT WHEN THE ABS/ESC LIGHTS ON THE DASH TURNED ON AND BRAKES STOPPED WORKING. THIS CAUSED ME TO ROLL THROUGH THE INTERSECTION AND ALMOST CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. HAD TO STOP BY ROLLING INTO CURB. FOUND THE BRAKES DO WORK SOMEWHAT NOW BUT ARE DANGEROUSLY WEAK.
3 DIFFERENT CONCERNS ISSUE #1: WHILE IN MOTION THE ABS AND BRAKE LIGHT COME ON, SPEEDOMETER GOES TO 0, OTHER GAUGES GO CRAZY. HAPPENS OFF AND ON THROUGHOUT THE DAY WHILE DRIVING. TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC, THEY SAID IT IS THE ABS MODULE GOING OUT, TO FIX IT WITH A BRAND NEW PART WOULD BE $1800. NOT ONLY IS IT DANGEROUS TO NOT BE ABLE TO SEE MY SPEED, ITS A POSSIBILITY MY ABS WOULDN'T KICK IN IF NEEDED. REGULAR BRAKES WORK FINE.
MY SAFETY ISSUE IS THE MELTING RUBBER DASHBOARD ISSUE BECOMING STICKY, SHINY AND REFLECTING A GLARE REDUCING AND BLINDING MY VISIBILITY WHEN DRIVING. I PURCHASED IN 2016 A USED TOYOTA CAMRY LE FROM A USED CAR DEALERSHIP. IN SUMMER 2018 I NOTICED THE DASHBOARD WAS TACKY TO THE TOUCH. I ASKED AT A CAR SUPPLIES AND PARTS STORE IF THEY KNEW WHAT CAUSED THIS BUT NO ONE COULD HELP ME. I ASKED CARMAX ONE TIME ABOUT THIS AND TOLD IT MUST ME SOMETHING I PUT ON THE CAR WHICH I HAD NOT. THEN THIS SUMMER 2019 THE DASHBOARD BECAME SO STICKY AND SHINY WITH MELTING RUBBER AND GLARE SO BLINDING IT REDUCES MY VIEW OF THE ROAD AND NOW IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE IN ANY BRIGHT SUNSHINE OR ONCOMING CAR HEADLIGHTS. ON 10-13-2019 WHILE DRIVING I TURNED A CURVE ON A BUSY ROAD AND WAS COMPLETELY BLINDED BY GLARE AND NARROWLY MISSED HITTING AN ONCOMING CAR. I KEEP A CLEAN CAR AND ALL GLASS SO THIS IS NOT A BUILDUP ON THE GLASS. ON 10-14-2019 I BEGAN ONLINE RESEARCH AND FOUND THERE HAD INDEED BEEN A PROBLEM SO I WENT DIRECTLY TO TOYOTA CUSTOMER CARE AND EMAILED THIS PROBLEM AND REQUESTED ASSISTANCE. I THEN SPOKE WITH A CUSTOMER CARE PERSON THAT ADVISED ME THERE WAS A SPECIAL EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAM BUT THAT PROGRAM HAD EXPIRED AUGUST 2017 AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY WOULD DO. I EXPRESSLY INQUIRED HOW COULD THEY KNOW THEY HAVE A DANGEROUS SITUATION IN CARS AND OFFER NO ASSISTANCE. THEY SAID THEY WENT TO EACH STATES DMV TO GET ADDRESS OF TOYOTA OWNERS OF AFFECTED CARS AND MAILED THEM. I EXPLAINED I BOUGHT THIS CAR IN 2016 AND WHAT DO THEY OFFER TO MAKE MY CAR SAFE. I GOT ONLY APOLOGIES. THIS IS EVIDENTLY A KNOWN AND LONG TERM SAFETY PROBLEM WITH TOYOTA CARS AND IS AT A DANGEROUS LEVEL FOR MANY OWNERS OF USED TOYOTA'S WITH NO CORRECTIVE STEPS AVAILABLE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE TRAVELING 40 MPH, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE AND THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE SLID UNTIL IT FINALLY STOPPED. THERE WAS NO CRASH. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN CAREFULLY BACK TO THE CONTACT'S HOME. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC CONFIRMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE ACTUATOR. MCKINNON TOYOTA (235 PRICE DR, CLANTON, AL 35046, (205) 755-3430) REQUESTED THAT THE CONTACT BRING IN THE VEHICLE FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AT HER EXPENSE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 145,500. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
MY DASHBOARD HAS A STICKY FILM AND WHEN SUNLIGHT IS PRESENT IT'S HAZARDOUS TO SEE. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING CONCERN WITH TOYOTA CARS BETWEEN 2007-2009. I CONTACTED TOYOTA FOR GENERAL INFORMATION FOR REPLACEMENT ON 26 OCT 19. ACCORDING TO A TOYOTA REP ON 1 NOV 19, RECALL NOTICES WERE SENT TO REGISTERED OWNERS BY REACHING OUT THROUGH THEIR LOCAL MVA IN THE STATE OF MARYLAND. ALL VEHICLES I EVER OWNED WERE ALWAYS REGISTERED BUT I NEVER RECEIVED A CORRESPONDENCE FROM THE TOYOTA. NOW THE RECALL HAS EXPIRED AND I'M RESPONSIBLE SHOULD I WANT TO MAKE THE REPAIR AND NO OTHER RESOLUTIONS. THIS WHAT I RECEIVED FROM TOYOTA AFTER BEING A LOYAL CUSTOMER.
DRIVER SIDE SUN SHADE DOESNT STAY IN PLACE, BLOCKS VIEW AND KEEPS FALLING DOWN WHEN PUT BACK UP CAUSES A HAZARD WHILE DRIVING BY DISTRACTING DRIVER WHILE DRIVING. I REMOVED IT SO DONT HAVE A PICTURE OF IT DOWN.
MOVING AT 70 MPH, BATTERY LIGHT STARTED TO FLICKER. THEN 2 LOUD BANGS, LIKE ROCKS HITTING WINDSHIELD, SPEEDOMETER WILDLY FLUCTUATING, CHECK VSC SYS LIGHT ON INSTRUMENT CLUSTER BRIEFLY LIT. NO LOSS OF POWER OR CONTROL. BATTERY LITE NOW OFF. CONTINUED ON 3 MINUTES LATER REPEAT, BAM BAM, CHECK VSC SYS, NOW WITH RED TRIANGLE WARNING, ABS LIGHT, SECURITY, PASSENGER AIR BAG & SKID LINES FLASHED ON. NO PROBLEMS ON RETURN TRIP, ALTHOUGH I WAS TRAVELING AT AROUND 50 MPH. I SHOULD ADD THAT I HAD PROBLEM WITH BATTERY IN JAN 2019. REPLACED BATTERY AND POSITIVE CABLE. BATTERY LIGHT KEPT COMING ON, REPLACED ALTERNATOR. PROBLEM WITH INTERMITTENT BATTERY LIGHT REOCCURRED. MECHANIC CLEANED OFF POSITIVE POLE, AND PROBLEM WAS SOLVED UNTIL TODAY.
WHEN OUTDOOR TEMPERATURES GET COLD, MY BRAKE LIGHT COMES ON, THEN I GET A CHECK VSC SYSTEM AND MY ABS LIGHT AND TRACTION LIGHTS COME ON, MORE OVER MY BRAKES ARE LESS RESPONSIVE (GO SOFT).
I WANT TO WASH MY CAR TO TOE DELTA SONIC CAR WASH AFTER THE WASH THE AIRBAG LIGHT COME ON
SUN VISOR (PASSENGER SIDE) HAS ROTATED SLOWLY DOWNWARD BLOCKING MY VIEW OF THE ROAD. APPARENTLY THE SPRING TENSION MECHANISM FAILED CAUSING THE VISOR TO HANG DOWNWARD OBSTRUCTING MY VIEW OF THE ROAD. NOTE: THE SUN VISOR AND SUN VISOR BRACKET WAS PREVIOUSLY INVOLVED IN A TOYOTA WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT NOTICE INVOLVING THIS SAME VEHICLE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED, BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. THE EMERGENCY BRAKE HAD TO BE APPLIED TO STOP THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE CHECK ENGINE AND BRAKE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AUTONATION TOYOTA WESTON (4050 WESTON RD, DAVIE, FL 33331, (954) 644-4867) WHERE IT WAS REPAIRED PER TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN NHTSA ID NUMBER: 10132793 (ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL, SERVICE BRAKES). THE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 130,000.
THE SUN VISOR DROPPED, BLINDING MY SIGHT WHILE DRIVING. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND A CLEAR SAFETY ISSUE. TOYOTA HAD PREVIOUSLY ISSUED A WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT, BUT HAD SAID AT THE TIME THAT IF THE ISSUE HAS NOT YET APPEARED, WE SHOULD NOT DO ANYTHING. NOW THAT THE WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT PERIOD HAS EXPIRED, THEY ARE NOT PREPARED TO DO ANYTHING. THIS IS A CLEAR SAFETY CONCERN. A RECALL IS WARRANTED. NOT ONLY IS VISIBILITY SEVERELY IMPAIRED WHILE DRIVING, BUT ALSO REMOVING THE VISOR EXPOSES THE DRIVER TO STRONG SUN GLARES THAT MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO DRIVE SAFELY.
1)BODY- The body of the vehicle (paint) seems to be chipping and/or rusting at an increasingly rapid rate with no known causes. This rusting is causing the value of the car to plummet as I am trying to sell the vehicle. It first appeared in about 2019 and has been getting steadily worse without any way to stop it. 2) SUSPENSION- On every single Toyota I’ve owned (4) the struts wore very quickly and are NOT a cheap fix. I had to at one point, fix them more than once in the same vehicle. I was told by the repair tech that it is a common issue seen in Toyotas. If a strut goes while driving it can cause major safety issues for the driver. 3)WHEELS- The hubcaps more specifically speaking, on every Toyota I’ve owned, have also had an issue maintaining its hubcaps. One rolled off on the highway and nearly caused me to crash as it hit the side of my car and slid under the rear tires and made me slide all over the snowy highway. Luckily there weren’t many vehicles on the road or it could’ve been catastrophic. I also notice that the light for the tire pressure never turns off either. I can fill the tires, empty the tires, it does not matter, the light will never go off.
I HAVE A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY WITH 104,000 (+/-) MILES AND HAVE NOTICED IT'S CONSUMING A LOT OF OIL AN I HAVE HAD TO KEEP ADDING OIL TO THE ENGINE. I BROUGHT IT TO THE DEALER (ATLANTIC TOYOTA IN LYNN, MA) WHERE THEY'VE CONFIRMED THAT IT NEEDS NEW PISTON RINGS WHICH IS CAUSING THE OIL TO BE CONSUMED AT SUCH A A GREAT RATE. I'VE DONE SOME RESEARCH AND HAVE IDENTIFIED THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT TOYOTA IS AWARE OF AND IN THE PAST HAS OFFERED FIXES (REPLACING THE PISTONS, ETC). I BELIEVE THEY CALLED IT A WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM BACK IN 2015-2016. I WAS NOT OFFERED TO HAVE MY VEHICLE REPAIRED UNDER THIS WARRANTY EFFORT.
I OWN 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY 79K MILES. I STARTED CONSUMED OIL ON 75K MILES. IT CONSUMED 1.3 EVERY 1000 MIES. 2007 TO 2009 2.4L 4-CYL 2AZ-FE. THIS ENGINE HAD BAD REPUTATION FOR OIL BURNING.
2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID BRAKE ACTUATOR FAILURE. TOYOTA ENHANCED WARRANTY EXTENDED THE MANUFACTURING DEFECT FOR BOTH TIME AND MILEAGE. THE TIME FRAME HAS EXPIRED BUT THE MILEAGE ALLOTMENT WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO END (ONLY 103,000 MILES ON CAR). THIS DEFECT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL SINCE THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE TO NUMEROUS TOYOTA CAMRY'S. THEY ISSUED THE ENHANCED WARRANTY TO REDUCE THE FINANCIAL BURDEN OF A RECALL AND LIMIT THE NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS BY ONLY ASSISTING OWNERS WHO EXPERIENCED THIS BRAKE FAILURE DURING THEIR TIME FRAME. I AM A SENIOR WHO ONLY DRIVES THE CAR TO THE GROCERY STORE. WHEN RETURNING FROM SHOPPING, ALL THE BRAKE AND ANTI SKID LIGHTS LIT UP AND WE TOOK THE CAR STRAIGHT HOME. WE THEN TOOK CAR TO DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY. I AM BEING PENALIZED BECAUSE I AM A SENIOR WHO DOES NOT USE THEIR CAR EXCESSIVELY. THE ENHANCED WARRANTY TIME FRAME HAS EXPIRED, BUT THE MILEAGE ALLOTMENT WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE. THIS IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND THE CAR SHOULD HAVE BEEN RECALLED YEARS AGO.

ABS BRAKE SYSTEM FAILURE WHILE DRIVING. LOSS OF BRAKES, POWER STEERING, ENGINE POWER WHILE ON A BUSY STREET APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION
BRAKES NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. BRAKE PRESSURE IS INCONSISTENT AND ALL OF THE LIGHTS CAME ON IN THE DASH AT THE SAME TIME! UNSAFE BRAKE CONDITIONS DUE TO TOYOTA PART DEFECT
IT HAD OIL CONSUMPTION RECALL THE DEALER DON'T WANT TO FIX IT BECAUSE THE ENGINE HAS A LEAK I FIX IT AN THEM I TOOK IT BACK THEY SAY IT HAS TOO MANY MILES.I BEING PUTTING OIL IN THE ENGINE ONE COURT OF OIL A WEEK FOR A LONG TIME I DON'T NOW WHAT TO DO. TL* THE OWNED 2009 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT 40MPH ON A HIGHWAY HIS VEHICLE WAS IMPACTED ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WHICH CAUSED HIM TO CRASH INTO THE MEDIUM, NONE OF THE AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AND THE SEATBELT FAILED TO RESTRAIN THE CONTACT CAUSING THE CONTACT TO HIT THE STEERING WHEEL AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH. THE CONTACT SUFFERED SEVER CHEST BRUISING AND LEG INJURIES AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED, THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN IMPOUND LOT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AWAITING TO IF IT WILL BE REPAIRED OR TOTALED. PASSENGER VISOR NOT WORKING
MY ENTIRE DASHBOARD HAS BEEN STICKY / TACKY FOR YEARS. I DO NOT KNOW WHY OR HOW IT GOT THIS WAY. IT ACCUMULATES DUST AND GRIME, AND I HAVE NO WAY TO PROPERLY CLEAN IT SINCE ALL TOWELS AND CLEANING CLOTHS, UNLESS EXTREMELY WET, GET CAUGHT ON IT, AND THEN IT ACCUMULATES FIBERS FROM THE CLEANING CLOTHS. IF I PRESS INTO THE DASHBOARD WITH MY FINGER, IT RETAINS A FINGERPRINT. I CAN EASILY CLEAVE A PIECE OFF WITH MY NAIL. OBVIOUS WHEN THE DASHBOARD IS SHINY ON A SUNNY DAY, THE GLARE IS ON THE WINDSHIELD THAT CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS. I JUST BOUGHT THIS CAR RECENTLY
AS I WAS DRIVING A LOUD NOISE CAME ON INSIDE THE CAR MY ABS LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN MY BRAKES FAILED ALMOST CAUSING A HUGE WRECK AND FROM WHAT I HAVE READ IT IS THE ABS ACCUTATOR OR BRAKE ACCUTATOR WHICH I GUESS IS THE SAME THING BUT APPARENTLY A LOT OF THE TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRIDS ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE WHERE THE BREAKS ARE FAILING AND CAUSING ACCIDENTS BUT YET THERE ARE NO RECALLS FOR IT AND APPARENTLY THE PART COST 2,900 FROM TOYOTA WHICH IS INSANE WHEN IT SHOULD BE A RECALL BECAUSE IT'S A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE

MY TOYOTA CAMRY 2007 LE, IS BURNING WAY TO MUCH OIL. I HAVE CONSTANTLY KEEP PUTING OIL IN MY ENGINE SO THAT IT DOESN'T BURN. AND MY CAR DOESNT HAVE ANY LEEKS SO THIS IS DEFINITELY AN ENGINE PROBLEM.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 92,000.

MY CAR WILL NOT LET ME ACCELERATE PAST 40MPH. ONCE I DO PASS 40MPH MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND CHECK HYBRID SYSTEM LIGHT COMES ON AND THE CAR SHUTS DOWN RIGHT AFTER. THIS IS ALL WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THE FIRST TIME HAPPENED ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN I WENT 65 AND IT CUT STRAIGHT OUT.
OUR 2007 CAMRY CONSTANTLY EATS OIL. WE CHECK IT EVERY 2-3 WEEKS AND IT'S NOT ON THE DIP STICK. I ADD ABOUT AN ADDITIONAL 3 QTS BETWEEN OIL CHANGES... THIS IS NOT NORMAL! CAR DOES NOT SMOKE NOR IS IT LEAKING THE OIL.
VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION GOING STRAIGHT ON A CITY STREET, AND "CHECK VSC SYSTEM" NOTIFICATION TURNED ON. BRAKE LIGHT, ABS LIGHT, AND (!) ALL CAME ON. BRAKES BECAME SHAKY WHEN PRESSED.
THE BRAKE LIGHTS SYSTEMS AND ABS LIGHTS COMES OUT AS I START THE CAR AND ALL GAUGES STOP WORKING, THE AC DON'T WORK WHEN THIS HAPPENS. I CAN'T TELL HOW FAST IM GOING BECAUSE THE SPEEDOMETER GAUGE FAILED TO PROVIDE THE CORRECT READING, THE ABS CONTROL MODULE AND EMERGENCY WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATES ON THE SCREEN. THIS HAPPENS WHILE I AM DRIVING, IT DOES RAMDONLY AND NOW IS MORE FRECUENTLY.
A WHILE BACK I WAS DRIVING ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET MY VSC MESSAGE CAME ON AND I NOTICE A JERK IN THE TIRES IF IT WAS SLIDING, SO I IMMEDIATELY PULLED OVER TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF HOPING IT COULD BE A SENSOR FAILURE SO AFTER SITTING FOR 5 MINS I TURNED THE CAR BACK ON NOTICE THE MESSAGE WASN'T THERE ANYMORE I THEN BEGIN TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE FOR A GOOD 5 MINS AND THE CAR DID THE EXACT THING VSC MESSAGE CAME BACK ON THE CAR BEGUN TO FEEL LIKE IT WAS SLIDING SO I PULLED OVER AGAIN SAT ABOUT 10MINS THIS TIME, TURNED THE CAR ON THE MESSAGE WASN'T THERE I START DRIVING 5 MINS LATER THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED AGAIN.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE LOCAL DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 131,000. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
