TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD WAS EXTREMELY OILY AND WAS MELTING. THE CONTACT CALLED TOYOTA OF GLENDORA (LOCATED AT 1949 AUTO CENTRE DR, GLENDORA, CA 91740, (909) 305-2000) AND NOTIFIED THEM OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 117,000.
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING TO WORK THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, VSC LIGHT AND ABS LIGHTS APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD. THEN THE BRAKES WERE REALLY MUSHY AND IT TOOK A LOT OF FORCE TO STOP THE CAR. SHE PULLED OVER AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. WHEN SHE RESTARTED THE CAR THE LIGHTS WERE STILL ON. SHE WAS ABLE TO SLOWLY DRIVE BACK HOME.
I GOT IN MY VEHICLE TODAY IN THE VSC LIGHT CAME ON. I HAVE RESEARCHED OVER GOOGLE, AND EVERYTHING POINTS TO A $3,000 REPAIR, OR A RECALL REPAIRABLE BY TOYOTA. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE IF I AM ELIGIBLE FOR THAT RECALL REPAIR.
BRAKES DID NOT ACTIVATE, WENT VERY SOFT AND PUSHED TO THE FLOOR. "CHECK VSC SYSTEM" MESSAGE, BRAKE LIGHT, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT, AND ANOTHER LIGHT (IN ATTACHED IMAGE) ALL CAME ON AFTER THE BRAKES GAVE OUT. I WAS ABLE TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO STOP THE CAR OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON. BRAKES WORKED AGAIN, BUT ALL OF THE WARNINGS ARE STILL ON. ALSO, SEEMS LIKE THE IT'S JUST REGULAR BRAKES AND ANTI-LOCK SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING.

FEW DAYS AGO WHILE DRIVING - THE WARNING "CHECK VSC SYSTEM" INDICATOR CAME ON WITH FOUR WARNING LIGHTS - BRAKES, EXCLAMATION TRACTION CONTROL, ABS AND SKID CONTROL. SUDDENLY BRAKES STARTED ACTING STRANGELY AND SOFT AND JERKY. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO FRED ANDERSON TOYOTA AND AFTER DIAGNOSTIC TEST WAS TOLD THAT IT IS CODE 1392 WHICH REQUIRES REPLACEMENT OF ABS CONTROL MODULE (THE COST TO REPLACE WAS QUOTED AS $2875.37 - WE DECLINED TO GET IT FIXED. CALLED TOYOTA CUSTOMER SERVICE - THEY REVIEWED MY COMPLAINT BUT DECLINED TO HELP.
The power strip on drivers door to roll up and roll down windows, lock and unlock car is broken. I know there was a recall but I never got that replaced. Toyota of Poway said it’s fine then it broke a year later.
CHECK VSC & HYBRID SYSTEM LIGHTS WENT ON AND NOW MY BRAKES ARE ACTING FUNNY.
PASSENGER SIDE SUN VISOR BROKE DUE TO DEFECT IN THE INNER PLASTIC BODY. MAKING THE ARM UNABLE TO HOLD THE VISOR IN PLACE EFFECTIVELY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID. WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE JERKED. IN ADDITION, THE TRACTION CONTROL, EMERGENCY BRAKE, AND VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TOYOTA CHULA VISTA (650 MAIN ST, CHULA VISTA, CA 91911, (619) 591-0900) WHO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY AND PROVIDED A REPAIR QUOTE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 204,000.
TOYOTA CAMRY 2007 ENGINE CONSUMES EXCESSIVE OIL. TOYOTA ISSUED A TSB FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT BECAUSE MY CAR IS MORE THAN 10 YEARS OLD AND HAD OVER 150K MILES, IT WAS NOT COVERED BY THE TSB. THEY ESTIMATE IT WILL COST $5000 TO FIX THE PROBLEM, WHICH IS OUTRAGEOUS.

RIGHT REAR PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT TIGHTENED UP ON A CHILD AND WOULD NOT RELEASE. WE HAD TO CUT THE SEAT BELT.
DASHBOARD ON 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY XLE IS MELTING. NOTICED SEVERAL MONTHS BACK THAT IT WAS TACKY TO THE TOUCH AND SEEMED TO GET WORSE AS THE WEATHER HEATED UP. GLARE IS BECOMING MORE OF A PROBLEM, SPECIFICALLY ON HOT SUNNY DAYS, MELTING DASHBOARD PUT A SMALL GOUGE IN THE DASHBOARD WHEN SOMETHING WAS SET ON IT AND THEN MOVED. DEBRIS AND DUST IS ALSO COLLECTING ON THE DASHBOARD. WILL BECOME MORE HAZARDOUS AS TIME GOES ON. CALLED BOTH TOYOTA AND THE DEALERSHIP. TOYOTA INFORMED ME THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT ON RECALL LIST AND TOO WAIT TO SEE IF ANOTHER RECALL WOULD BE ISSUED. DEALERSHIP WANTS TO CHARGE OVER $2,000 FOR PART AND LABOR. I HAVE KEPT MY CAR IN THE GARAGE AND DASHBOARD HAS SEEMED A LITTLE SLOWER TO DETERIORATE COMPARED TO OTHERS, BUT NOW THAT IT IS BREAKING DOWN, WILL MOST LIKELY DECLINE QUICKER. A PROBLEM CREATED BY TOYOTA ALSO AFFECTS RESALE AND TRADE IN VALUE OF THE VEHICLE AT NO FAULT OF THE OWNER.
THERE IS AN OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUE AND TOYOTA IS SAYING IT IS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ISSUE, THAT HAS EXPIRED AND THAT I AM GOING TO HAVE TO FIX IT AND PAY FOR IT ALL OUT OF POCKET. THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL NOT A WARANTY ISSUE. IT'S NOT FAIR OR RIGHT AND THEY SHOULD STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTION ISSUES THAT ARE FLAWED. THIS IS A SAFTEY ISSUE BECAUSE THE LIGHT DOESN'T EVEN COME ON WHEN IT IS LOW, SO IF I DON'T CHECK OFTEN THEN I AM IN DANGER WHEN I AM DRIVING. I BOUGHT THE CAR TO DRIVE, NOT TO BECOME A MECHANIC.

I WAS DRIVING MY VECHICLE YESTERDAY THAT WAS JUST IN THE SHOP SINCE SATURDAY SAYING THAT THEY REPLACED EVERYTHING THAT WAS WRONG BECAUSE PREVIOUSLY MY BREAKS LOCKED UP ON I-95 AND I COULDN'T STOP. I GOT THE VECHICLE BACK YESTERDAY AND I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AND MY BREAKS FAILED AGAIN CAUSING ME TO REAR END THE PERSON IN FRONT OF ME. I COULD NOT STOP. ABSOLUTELY NO BREAKS!! THE VECHICLE WAS IN MOTION TRYING TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. I BELIEVE THE ABS BREAK ACULATOR / MODULE IN THE VECHICLE IS BAD. THE COMPANY WHOM I BOUGHT IT FROM I BELIEVE SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS ACCIDENT CONSIDERING THEY'RE THE ONES WHO STATED THEY FIXED THE VECHICLE
I BOUGHT MY 2007 CAMRY IN 2006 AND IT HAS BEEN GREAT TILL THE LAST 6 MONTHS WHEN THE DASH BOARD STARTED TO GET STICKY AND IS NOW FULLY STICKY AND GLOSSY TO THE POINT WHERE THE SUN REFLECTS OFF IT AND IS BLINDING. TOYOTA SAID THEY HAD A RECALL WHICH I WAS NEVER NOTIFIED. THE ADDRESS WHEN I BOUGHT MY CAR IS THE SAME IN MY DRIVER'S LICENSE AND I NEVER CHANGED IT. I LIVE IN BUENA PARK SINCE 1991 AND MY DRIVERS LICENSE HAS THAT ADDRESS SINCE I WAS 18 (18 YEARS AGO). I CALLED TOYOTA AND THEY SAID THE RECALL NEEDED AND ITS. OT THEIR CONCERN. I FIND IT IRRESPONSIBLE THAT TOYOTA TAKES NO ACTION FOR FAULTY MANUFACTURING OF THEIR PRODUCTS AND SHIFTS THE FAULT TO THE CONSUMER WHEN I HAD NO IDEA THERE WAS ANY ISSUES. SECONDLY WHEN THEY HAD THE GAS PEDAL RECALL I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR MAINTENANCE AND WHEN I GOT IT BACK THEY CUT THE PEDAL WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE AND SAID A REPLACEMENT WAS ON BACK ORDER. I HAVE SINCE 2010 REQUESTED THE REPLACEMENT TILL 2011 AND THEY ALWAYS SAID IT IN BACK ORDER. I GAVE UP ASKING BECAUSE I GOT EXCUSES. WHEN I'M DRIVING MY FOOT SLIPS OFF THE GAS PEDAL BECAUSE ITS SHORTER. ITS HAZARDOUS WHEN YOUR MAKING A TURN AND THE CAR LOSES ACCELERATION AND YOU HAVE TO QUICKLY HIT THE GAS AGAIN. THIS IS DANGEROUS WHEN THE ROAD IS SLIPPERY IN A FRONT WHEEL DRIVE. I HAVE CONTACTED TOYOTA WITH THESE CONCERNS AND ALL THEY SAY IS THAT THERE ISNT ANYTHING THEY CAN DO.
SO IN MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY MY WINDSHIELD THAT HAD NO CHIPS AND WAS IN PERFECT CONDITION. AND PARKED IN A PARKING LOT. I WAS SITTING IN MY CAR ABOUT TO GET OUT WHEN I WATCHED THE WINDSHIELD CRACK BY ITSELF INDEPENDENTLY NOTHING HITTING IT NO CHIPS OR IMPERFECTIONS TO MAKE IT CRACK NO SOUNDS NOTHING IT STARTED ON THE PASSENGER SIDE IN A SPIDERWEB FASHION AND CRACKED ALL THE WAY ACROSS MY WINDSHIELD AND KEEPS CONTINUING TO SPIDERWEB ACROSS THE ENTIRE WINDSHILD THERE WAS NO CHIPS INITIALLY NOTHING HIT IT NO PRESSURE AFTER TALKING TO SEVERAL PROFESSIONALS THEY ALSO CAN NOT SEE A REASON FOR THE CRACKED WINDSHIELD STATES IT LOOKS LIKE IT CRACKED FROM THE CENTER OUT. I RESEARCHED AND FOUND I'M NOT THE ONLY PERSON THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ON THIS MAKE AND MODEL CAR
DRIVING ON FREEWAY, POWER STEERING WENT OUT. PS LIGHT CAME ON PULLED OVER, TURNED CAR OFF FOR FEW MIN, STARTED IT UP AND WORKED OK. IT'S HPPEED 6 TIMES SO FAR.
I PURCHASED THIS CAR BRAND NEW FROM THE DEALER WHO REGISTERED IT AND GAVE ME PAPERWORK LISTING MY ADDRESS ON ALL OF THE FORMS. I JUST RECENTLY FOUND OUT THAT THERE WAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAM FOR THE DRIVER SIDE VISOR DEFECT. I HAD BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH IT FOR A FEW YEARS BUT SINCE I RARELY DRIVE DURING THE DAYTIME IT WASN'T AN ISSUE UNTIL MY SHIFT CHANGED. SO NOW IT'S BROKEN AND TODAY, YEARS LATER, TOYOTA TELLS ME THAT THE WARRANTY INFORMATION WAS SENT TO AN ADDRESS OTHER THAN THE ONE I HAVE LIVED SINCE I PURCHASED THIS CAR. SINCE I DIDN'T REGISTER THE CAR AND ALL OF MY PAPERWORK HAD MY THEN AND STILL ADDRESS ON IT, I FEEL THAT THEY SHOULD HONOR THE WARRANTY BECAUSE THEY SENT IT TO AN ADDRESS THAT WASN'T MINE. THEY WILL NOT GIVE ME THE ADDRESS BUT REFERRED ME TO MY STATE' DMV, WHO ALSO WILL NOT GIVE ME THIS PHANTOM ADDRESS WHERE MY INFO WAS SENT. COLONIAL TOYOTA REGISTERED THE CAR FOR ME SO I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MISTAKES WERE MADE IN THE REGISTRATION PROCESS AND NO WAY OF GETTING THE INFORMATION. TOYOTA IS DOING WHAT ALL BIG COMPANIES DO, PASS THE MISTAKES THEY MADE TO THE CONSUMER. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM ATOYOTA DEALER EVER AGAIN.
I HAVE A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY THAT THE ENGINE LIGHT IS BLINKING AND THE CAR IS MAKING NOISE THE OIL HAS BEEN CHARGED OVER A 10 TIMES SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT FOR A YEAR & BOUGHT FROM A DEALER I GOT IT LOOK AT BY TOYOTA FOR THEM TO TELL ME I NEED A NEW ENGINE BECAUSE MY OIL PUMP IS GOING OUT AND ROD-MAIN BEARINGS IN THE ENGINE ARE BAD THE FUEL INJECTORS. ARE GOING OUT CANT RUN MY A.C BECAUSE IT MAKES MY CAR TURN OFF I MEAN COME ON.
MY VEHICLE'S BRAKES FAILED RESULTING IN REAR-ENDING THE CAR IN FRONT. THIS HAPPENED ON A FREEWAY GOING STRAIGHT AT 10 AM. MY VEHICLE WAS MOVING AT ABOUT 20 MILES/ HR WHEN I STEPPED FORCEFULLY ON THE BRAKE PEDAL AS THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME SLOWED BUT I DID NOT LURCH FORWARD, MY SEAT BELT DID NOT TIGHTEN TO PULL ME BACK AND MY BAG PACK THAT WAS ON THE FRONT PASSENGER LEATHER SEAT STAYED WHERE IT WAS. MY VEHICLE BEHAVED AS IF I HAD NOT BRAKED. WHEN I STEPPED ON THE BRAKES, I COULD SEE ASPHALT BETWEEN MY VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE IN FRONT. MY VEHICLE'S FRONT BUMPER, GRILL AND HOOD WAS DAMAGED. THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY IN FRONT OF MINE HAD DENTS ON THE REAR BUMPER AND THE TRUNK. THERE WAS A THIRD VEHICLE IN FRONT OF THE ONE IN FRONT OF MINE THAT WAS ALSO DAMAGED, HOWEVER, I DO NOT KNOW THE EXTENT OF THE DAMAGE. THE IMPACT OCCURRED AT A LOW SPEED WHICH DID NOT CAUSE MY SEAT BELT TO TIGHTEN AND DID NOT CAUSE MY BACKPACK ON THE PASSENGER SEAT TO SLIDE FORWARD.
THE ENGINE HAS HIGH OIL AND FUEL CONSUMPTION. THE CONSUMPTION OF OIL IS TWO QUARTS A MONTH.
In 2019, one of the Value Springs broke in the engine of 2007 Toyota Camry XLE with 3.5L V6 engine which required the engine to be replaced. The engine had just over 100k miles on it. I am reporting this because I found out that there was a recall on 2005-2008 Lexus vehicle with 3.5L V6 engines.
WHILE DRIVING, I HAD TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY STOP. AFTER STOPPING QUICK, THE ENGINE OIL LIGHT TURNED ON FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS. I CHECKED THE OIL AND FOUND IT TO BE 2.5 QUARTS LOW. MY LAST OIL CHANGE WAS LESS THAN 2500 MILES AGO. EXCESSIVE ENGINE OIL CONSUMPTION IS CAUSING A LOW OIL LIGHT AND POSSIBLE ENGINE FAILURE. THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND UPDATED PARTS ARE AVAILABLE, BUT DUE TO MY VEHICLE BEING OVER 10 YEARS OLD, THE MANUFACTURER WILL NOT HONOR THE WARRANTY EXTENSION FOR THIS PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.
AS I WAS TRAVELING HOME AND MY STEERING WHEEL START TO HAVE A MIND OF ITS OWN SO IT VEERED TO THE RIGHT AND I LOST CONTROL SO THE CAR SPENT AROUND WE END UP ON THE LEFT SIDE. SEATBELT WAS NOT HELPING PROTECT US AT ALL MY DAUGHTER SEATBELT ALLOWED HER TO SLIDE UNDER BREAKING HER RIGHT FEMUR AND MY RIGHT FEMUR ON PLUS MY ANKLE HAD TO BE RECONSTRUCTED. AIRBAGS CAME OUT 30 MINUTES AFTER THE WRECK. *JB *DT IN TAMPA. STATE ROAD. STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP. ACCELERATING ' PULL RIGHT AND THEN LEFT. WHEN GOT CAR, WENT THROUGH BARBED WIRE FENCES. PAR INDICATES HIT TREE, DRIVER DOES NOT REMEMBER. DAUGHTER WAS IN FRONT SEAT, SEAT BELT ON. DAUGHTER FLUNG OVER SEATBELT. SEATBELT OVER ARM. DRIVER DIDN'T KNOW BROKE LEG. WAITED FOR PARAMEDICS. CAR CAVED IN ON OCCUPANTS. DRIVING APPROX 45 MPH. COULDN'T HIT BRAKES OR ANYTHING. DON'T HAVE POLICE REPORT. PAR NUMBER: 87281695. STATE TROOPER ' FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL. DAUGHTER IS 9, WEIGHS APPROX 125 LB. FRONT PASSENGER SEAT. USUALLY DON'T LET SIT THERE. STATED AIRBAG DIDN'T DEPLOY DURING INCIDENT, PICTURES AT IAA SHOW AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. DID NOT CONTACT TOYOTA ' THOUGHT NHTSA TOOK CARE OF. NO INSPECTION CONDUCTED. VEHICLE AT JUNK YARD, DON'T KNOW IF VEHICLE STILL THERE. *JB
THE VSC SYSTEM LIGHTS ARE GOING OFF. THE BRAKES ARE NOT WORKING WHEN YOU TURN THE CAR ON AND THEN IT JOLTS SUDDENLY. NOW A BEEP IS GOING OFF EVERY TIME I START MY CAR.
MY CAR HAS ALL OF THE LIGHT ON DASHBOARD IS ON AND ON SCREEN IT SAYS "CHECK VSC SYSTEM"
WATER PUMP REPLACED JANUARY 6, 2016 ( 69,307 MILES) AND JANUARY, 2019 (93,621 MILES)
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER WAS INOPERABLE. ADDITIONALLY, ON ONE OCCASION WHILE DRIVING, THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED AND THE TRUNK BECAME AJAR. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. NEITHER THE DEALER NOR THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 98,000.
I HAD TAKEN MY CAR TO A DEALERSHIP TO GET MY BRAKES AND ROTORS CHANGED ,AROUND SEPTEMBER OF 2018, ABOUT A WEEK LATER THE TRACTION LIGHT WOULD COME ON WHENEVER I STEPPED ON THE BRAKES . I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE PLACE WHERE I HAD GOTTEN THE BRAKES DONE AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG. I FINALLY TOOK MY CAR TO ANOTHER MECHANIC, SO THEY COULD DIAGNOSE THE CAR , WHEN I GOT BACK MY CAR, THE VSC, TRACTION ,AND BRAKE LIGHTS WERE ON. THEY CLAIMED IT WAS THE ABS MODULE.
EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION. TAKES ABOUT 1-2 QUARTS EVERY 1000 MILES, OTHERWISE I RUN OUT OF OIL AND IT STARTS TO SMELL LIKE OIL WHEN I DRIVE OR WHEN CAR IS RUNNING. I WAS HEADED ON A TRIP TODAY WHEN MY CAR STARTED TO DRIVE A LITTLE FUNNY AND IT STARTED TO SMELL LIKE OIL AGAIN. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND CHECK IT AND I WAS LOW ON OIL. I PUT MORE OIL IN THE CAR AND HEADED BACK ON MY TRIP. I HAD THE CRUISE CONTROL SET AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE CRUISE KICKED OFF AND JOLTED THE CAR WHILE I WAS DRIVING 70MPH. AFTER THAT IT WAS HARD TO GET MY CAR TO SHIFT ABOVE THE 3RD RPM. CAR STILL HAS LESS THAN 150,000 ON IT. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A FEW THOUSAND MILES. IT HAS NO OIL LEAKS. THERE ARE NO LIGHTS THAT GO OFF, HAS HAD REGULAR AND SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE WITH RECORDS.
ABS ACTUATOR IS BROKEN, THERE WAN AN EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE HYBRIDS UP UNTIL 150,000 MILES.
THE DASHBOARD HAS BECOME EXTREMELY STICKY, CAUSING A SEVERE REFLECTION ON MY DRIVER'S SIDE WINDSHIELD. I CONTACTED TOYOTA, THEY SAID THE WARRANTY FOR THIS HAS EXPIRED. CASE #[XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TT
DASHBOARD HAS MELTED AND IS VERY STICKY. GLARE FROM THE SHINY SURFACE ON WINDSHIELD MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO SEE WHILE DRIVING. FROM RESEARCH, THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE TO TOYOTA.
BURNS TOO MUCH OIL. FRIENDS WITH CAMRYS AND SCIONS BOTH HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT SAME ISSUE. I BARELY MAKE IT TO 2000 MILE MARK AND HAVE TO ADD OIL. EVEN DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS HAVE TOLD ME THAT THESE ENGINES ARE KNOWN TO BURN THROUGH TOO MUCH OIL. IF THEY KNOW THIS AND IT'S A PROBLEM FOR MANY THEN IT SHOULD BE FIXED.
The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that the dashboard was extremely hot and had started melting. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer and it was determined that the dashboard needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The contact also stated that a quart of engine oil needed to be added each time the vehicle was refueled. The contact took the vehicle back to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed with needing unknown engine repairs. The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired however, the abnormal oil consumption persisted. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

AROUND 1,200 MILES, I HAVE TO ADD 1 QUART OF ENGINE OIL. DASH BOARD IS MELT AND STICK
I PURCHASED A CAMRY FROM BOB (XXXX) IN 2007. THE CAR STARTED CONSUMING AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF OIL NOT LONG AFTER THE TOYOTA ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM LAUNCHED IN 2014. I DID NOT GET A NOTICE FROM TOYOTA. BOB (XXXX) INFORMED ME OF THE NEED TO RUN THE OIL CONSUMPTION TEST IN JULY 2015; WHICH WE DID. I WAS TOLD THE TEST "PASSED" EVEN THOUGH IT WAS OBVIOUS THAT THE CAR WAS BURNING A LOT OF OIL. THE OIL PRESSURE LIGHT KEPT COMING ON OVER & OVER AGAIN. I REQUESTED A 2ND TEST IN DEC 2015 AND I WAS TOLD AGAIN THAT THE CAR "PASSED" THE OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. FOR 3 YEARS I COMPLAINED TO BOB (XXXX) ABOUT THE SITUATION, INCLUDING THE CAR CHOKING WHEN I TRY TO ACCELERATE OR BRAKE; OIL PRESSURE LIGHT; ENGINE LIGHT; HAVING TO ADD OIL TO MY CAR UPON DRIVING IT FOR ABOUT 1000 MILES OR SO, ETC.. THIS ALL HAPPENED FROM 2015-2018. IN 2018, BOB (XXXX) TRIED TO TELL ME THAT MY CAR IS LEAKING OIL INSTEAD OF BURNING OIL. THIS WASN'T AN ACCURATE STATEMENT. SO, I WENT TO A TRUSTED INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO TOOK A DETAIL LOOK AT MY CAR AND CONFIRMED THAT MY CAR IS NOT LEAKING OIL AT ALL. I WENT BACK TO BOB (XXXX) & DEMANDED A 3RD OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. AFTER MUCH ARGUING THEY AGREED TO IT. WE DID THE TEST AND IT FAILED IN DEC 2018. THIS CONFIRMED WHAT I KNEW ALL ALONG. YET THEY REFUSED TO FIX THE PROBLEM TO THE POINT WHERE THE SERVICE MANAGER WAYNE (XXXX) REFUSED TO TAKE MY CALLS. THEY TELL ME THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED, WHICH IS VERY FITTING FOR THEM &TOYOTA. I CALLED TOYOTA INC. WHO ALSO REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING BECAUSE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED IN 2016. MY CAR IS BARELY AT 105,000 MILES WHICH IS BELOW THE TOYOTA EXTENDED WARRANTY LIMIT OF 150,000 MILES OR 10 YRS. THE FACT THAT I HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THE ISSUE WHILE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY & WAS MISLEAD THE WHOLE TIME DID NOT COUNT FOR ANYTHING. OBVIOUSLY, THIS OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUE POSES A SERIOUS THREAT TO THE ENGINE & TO CAR OWNERS. REPAIRS ARE A MUST. WIFE AND KIDS WERE COMING HOME AND BRAKES WENT TO THE FLOOR AND ABS LIGHTS CAME ON. TOOK THE CAR TO A MECHANIC AND MECHANIC STATED TO CONTACT TOYOTA FOR OPEN RECALL AND SERVICE CAMPAIGN. TOYOTA IS NO HELP WHATSOEVER
BRAKE FAILURE. WAS DRIVING IN RESIDENTIAL STREET (LOW SPEED) WHEN BRAKES STOPPED WORKING. HAD TO USE PARKING BRAKE. PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE WITH BRAKE FLUID RESERVOIR TANK/FILTER, WHICH TOYOTA OFFERED TO SERVICE UNTIL 30 JUNE 2017. UNFORTUNATELY, NEVER HAD PROBLEMS WITH BRAKES UNTIL NOW--1 1/2 YEARS AFTER THE SERVICE OFFER HAD EXPIRED. SHOULD BE FULL RECALL. THE REASON WHY PROBLEM DID NOT SURFACE TILL NOW IS BECAUSE VEHICLE HAS LOW MILES (85,000 AFTER 12 YEARS).
I HAVE CONTINUOUSLY HAD ISSUES WITH MY CARS IGNITION COILS AND VSC SYSTEM. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND VSC SYSTEM LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON AND EVEN THOUGH I'VE SPENT THOUSANDS OF OD DOLLARS ON REPAIRS THE LIGHT CONTINUES TO POP UP EVEN WITH REGULAR MAINTENANCE AND MULTIPLE REPAIRS. MY CAR MISFIRES AND TURNS OFF RANDOMLY THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS TO DRIVE BUT I HAVE NO OTHER MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. THE CAR MISFIRES IN IDLE,WHILE DRIVING AT LOW AND HIGH SPEEDS AND IT WONT TURN ON SOMETIMES UNTIL I CONNECT JUMPER CABLES TO THE BATTERY. WHEN I CONNECT THE JUMPER CABLES I NEVER NEED AN EXTRA SOURCE OF POWER I SIMPLY CONNECT ONE END OF THE CABLES TO THE BATTERY AND A FEW SECONDS LATER IT ALL THE LIGHTS TURN ON AGAIN AND THE CAR RESTARTS THE WHOLE SYSTEM.

THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NECK AND LOWER BACK INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO COAST THE VEHICLE OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, IT FAILED TO START. THE CONTACT POWERED OFF AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE, BUT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO DRIVE AND BEGAN SHAKING. ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE AND LATER TOWED TO A COLLISION CENTER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PO171/02 SENSOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. *JS
THE CONDENSATION ON MY HEADLIGHTS ARE HORRIBLE. I HAVE HAD THEM CLEANED NUMEROUS TIMES BUT IT KEEPS COMING BACK. ALSO, MY HEADLIGHTS ON LOW BEAM ARE INEFFECTIVE AND I CANNOT SEE ANYTHING WHEN I'M DRIVING AT NIGHT. I HAVE TO USE MY HIGH BEAM TO GET ANY KIND OF LIGHTING TO SEE WHERE I'M GOING AT NIGHT
MY 2007 TOYOTA CAMRY HAS DEVELOPED A SHINY,STICKY DASHBOARD. NOT ONLY IS IT STICKY BUT IT BECAUSE IT IS SO SHINY IT PRODUCES A GLARE SO SEEING THE ROAD BECOMES MORE DIFFICULT. THIS GLARE IS A SAFETY HAZARD AS IT MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO SEE. I CALLED MY LOCAL TOYOTA DEALER AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT EXCEPT REPLACE THE DASHBOARD AT MY EXPENSE. THEY STATED A FEW YEARS AGO THERE WAS A PROGRAM TO REPLACE THE DASHBOARDS AS THE WARRANTY WAS EXTENDED BUT SINCE MY PROBLEM HAPPENED AFTER THE EXTENDED WARRANTY EXPIRED I WAS OUT OF LUCK. WHY DIDN'T I GET NOTIFIED OF THE EXTENDED WARRANTY OR THE ISSUE WITH THE DASHBOARD? I HAVE HAD THIS CAR SINCE IT WAS NEW SO THEY HAD ALL OF MY INFORMATION IN THEIR DATABASE AND CONTACTING ME WOULD HAVE BEEN VERY EASY. I WAS GOING TO PASS THIS CAR DOWN TO MY DAUGHTER THAT JUST GOT HER LICENSE, BUT I AM HESITANT TO LET HER DRIVE THE CAR AS THE GLARE MAKES IT DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. I DON'T WANT TO PUT MY DAUGHTER IN AN UNSAFE VEHICLE.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, MY BRAKES GOT SOFT AND MY CAR WOULDN'T COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. I HAD TO APPLY THE EMERGENCY BREAK SO THAT I COULD AVOID HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. IT HAPPENED ON A CITY STREET AS WELL, BOTH WHILE I WAS IN MOTION AND STATIONARY.
