I was driving my car when suddenly the speedometer started going from 0-60 back and forth, the rpms was all over the place, the brake light came on and stayed on and the lights was going from bright to dim, there was a couple more lights aluminized on my dash. After googling the problem that nearly caused me and my children to crash, there is so many people affected by this same problem in the 2007 toyota camry. Why hasn't this been recalled or class auctioned. Also my dash board is sticky like tar.
LOW BEAM LIGHTS ARE TOO DIM TO SEE AT NIGHT.
THE CONDENSATION ON MY HEADLIGHTS ARE HORRIBLE. I HAVE HAD THEM CLEANED NUMEROUS TIMES BUT IT KEEPS COMING BACK. ALSO, MY HEADLIGHTS ON LOW BEAM ARE INEFFECTIVE AND I CANNOT SEE ANYTHING WHEN I'M DRIVING AT NIGHT. I HAVE TO USE MY HIGH BEAM TO GET ANY KIND OF LIGHTING TO SEE WHERE I'M GOING AT NIGHT
HORRIBLE LOW-BEAM LIGHTING. TOYOTA RESPONSE IS "GIVE ME OVER $1,000 AND WE WILL REPLACE FIXTURES". I HAVE OWNED MANY CARS IN THE LAST 54 YEARS (ONE FOR 18 YRS) AND NEVER HAD HEADLIGHT PROBLEMS. TOYOTA OUGHT TO BE EMBARRASSED INTO AT LEAST REPLACING THEM AT COST. I'M GUESSING THE COATING ON THE LENS IS DEFECTIVE BECAUSE NOTHING ELSE HAS CORRECTED THE PROBLEM.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL DEALER (WILLS TOYOTA LOCATED AT 318 SHOSHONE ST W, TWIN FALLS, ID 83301) WHERE IT WAS INFORMED THAT THE HEADLIGHTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 128,000.
THE ABS AND BRAKE LIGHTS ARE ON AND THE SPEEDOMETOR KEEPS GOING OUT. SKID CONTROL ECU CODE ABS ACTUATOR WILL NEED REPLACE.WHEN CAR ON ROAD AND IT HAPPEN -NOT SAFE,PUT ME ON DANGEROS POSITION. LATER,I DISCOVERED SIMILAR PROBLEM DRIVERS HAVE AND WAS RECALL ON TOYOTA HYBRID 2007 ,BUT NOT ON REGULAR CAMRY 2007.
ONE OR THE OTHER LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS RANDOMLY GOES OFF WHEN DRIVING. IT'S A RECURRING PROBLEM. DEALER REPLACE BOTH BULB AND BOTH TRANSFORMERS AT A COST OF $1160.
RED AIRBAG ALERT INDICATOR HAS COME ON. THE CAR WAS NOT IN MOTION. THE ENGINE WAS OFF, AND WHERN I STARTED IT, THE LIGHT CAME ON!.
THE PASSENGER SIDE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT WILL TURN OFF WITHIN ABOUT 30 SECONDS OF TURNING THE HEADLIGHTS ON. THE PASSENGER SIDE LIGHT WILL BE ON AFTER TURNING THE LIGHTS OFF AND ON AGAIN. THIS PASSENGER SIDE LIGHT WILL THEN TURN OFF AGAIN AFTER ABOUT 30 SECONDS TO 2 MINUTES. THIS HAPPENS WHETHER THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION OR STOPPED.
DRIVER AND/OR PASSENGER HEADLIGHT WILL UNEXPECTEDLY TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING. HEADLIGHTS WILL BE OPERATING NORMALLY AND WITHOUT REASON, ONE OF THE HEADLIGHTS WILL GO OUT. THIS PRESENTS A DANGER TO ME IN MY VEHICLE AS WELL AS OTHER VEHICLES ON THE ROAD. IF I TURN OFF THE HEADLIGHTS AND TURN THEM ON AGAIN, THE LIGHTS WILL GO BACK ON BUT YOU DON'T KNOW FOR HOW LONG BEFORE THEY GO OUT AGAIN. MINE IS A 2007 TOYOTA SOLARA WITH APPROXIMATELY 85,000 MILES. THIS HAS OCCURRED TWICE IN THE PAST COUPLE OF WEEKS WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. I'VE SEEN MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS FOR THIS SAME ISSUE FROM OTHER SOLARA AND PRIUS OWNERS.
HEADLIGHTS WILL SPORADICALLY TURN OFF WHEN DRIVING. TURNING THEM OFF AND BACK ON SEEMS TO TEMPORARILY SOLVE THE ISSUE.
The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving, the front low-beam headlights were very dim while activated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who informed her that it was a common failure due to the material used to design the headlight housings. The contact was provided an estimate for the repair. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown. The contact stated that the dealer technician would have to remove the entire bumper in order to sand and clean the interior of the headlights.
ON MAY 8TH 2015 , I WAS TAKING A TRAFFIC IN A CURB ON IRVINGTON AVE NEWARK NJ THE STEERING WHEEL STUCK AND I COULD NOT HAVE ANY BREAK SO THEN THE CAR GOES STRAIGHT WITH ME TO A POT LIGHT,I HAVE SERIOUS INJURIES IN MY CHEST AND LOWER BACK, MY CAR IS COMPLETELY BROKEN( DRIER'S FENDER,FRONT LIGHT,RADIATOR, SUPPORT RADIATOR, LOWER ARM CONTROL , WATER PUMP,WOOD,WHEELS,BUMPER ETC...AND THE REST OF THE NAME THAT I DON'T REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING WEEK ,I CONTACTED TOYOTA ; THEY OPENED A CLAIM UNTIL 30 DAYS AND ABOUT ANOTHER 60 DAYS AFTER INSPECTED MY CAR THEY SENT A LETTER AND THEY TOLD ME THEY CAN'T DO NOTHING FOR ME ;THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR.PLEASE HELP ME CAUSE THE NEEDS A LOT OF MONEY TO BE FIXED.
MY WIFE NEARLY CRASHED OUR 2007 TOYOTA SOLARA WHEN THE LEFT FRONT LOW BEAM LIGHT FAILED AT NIGHT AND THEN IN LESS THAN FIVE MINUTES THE RIGHT FRONT LIGHT LOW BEAM FAILED. MY WIFE WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH ON A RURAL STRETCH OF I-85 IN NORTH CAROLINA. I HAD REPLACED THE RIGHT FRONT LIGHT ONLY THREE DAYS EARLIER. THE HIGH BEAMS CONTINUED TO WORK BUT THE NEXT DAY IN A TEST IN DAYLIGHT THE LOW BEAMS WORKED AND THEN FAILED AGAIN WITHIN FIVE MINUTES AND THE HIGH BEAMS ALSO FAILED WITHIN TWENTY (20) MINUTES. I HAVE SINCE READ THE ONLINE WEBSITE AUTO RECALLS FOR CONSUMERS (ARFC) THAT THIS IS A RECURRING PROBLEM IN 2007 TOYOTA SOLARAS. TOYOTA IS RISKING DEATHS BY NOT ADDRESSING THIS PROBLEM. I CALLED TOYOTA (800-331-4331) BUT TOYOTA WAS [XXX] AND HAD HEARD NOTHING ABOUT NOTHING. THE REACTION WOULD BE HUMOROUS EXCEPT THAT IT HAPPENS WHILE PEOPLE ARE DRIVING AT HIGH SPEED AND IT COULD KILL THEM, ESPECIALLY AT 70 MPH, THE LEGAL SPEED LIMIT ON I-85 IN RURAL NORTH CAROLINA. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNAVAILABLE.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS HAVE A NEAR 0% EFFECTIVENESS. I LEAVE THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH IN THE "ALWAYS ON" POSITION, BUT AT NIGHT I OFTEN HAVE TO SWITCH THE HEADLIGHTS OFF AND THEN BACK ON TO VERIFY THEY ARE ON. WHEN THEY ARE ON AT NIGHT, THE HEADLIGHTS ARE AT NEAR 0% EFFECTIVENESS.
HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT WHILE TRAVELING AT NIGHT AT HIGHWAY SPEED. LIGHTS ALTERNATELY FLICKERED ON AND OFF WHILE SWITCHING BETWEEN AUTO MODE AND ON MODE OF HEADLIGHT SWITCH. ONE HEADLIGHT FINALLY WENT OUT AGAIN COMPLETELY AND BOTH ACTING SPORADICALLY. VEHICLE IS THE SPORT MODEL WITH THE HID HEADLIGHT SYSTEM. *TR
THE RIDERS SIDE FRONT LOW BEAM HEAD LIGHT OPERATES INTERMITTENTLY. WE RECEIVED A FIX IT TICKET; BUT THE LIGHT WORKED THE NEXT DAY AND GOT THE TICKET SIGNED OFF. HOWEVER THE RIDERS SIDE LOW BEAM LIGHT CONTINUES TO WORK AND NOT WORK INTERMITTENTLY. OUT MECHANIC TOLD US THE HIGH INTENSITY LIGHT MODULE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. IT SEEMS TO ME THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE TOYOTA SHOULD ADDRESS. *TR
