TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 TOYOTA CAMRY. WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE VEHICLE HESITATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE AT THE DEALER THE MECHANIC REPROGRAMMED THE ECU MODULE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, IT INDEPENDENTLY DECELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,148.
ACCELERATING FROM A STOP LIGHT, THE CAR WENT ABOUT 30 FOOT OR LESS THAN HESITATES. THE TRUCK THAT WAS BEHIND ME DID NOT HAVE ANY WARNING THE CAR WAS NOT GOING TO MOVE AND CAME WITHIN INCHES OF MY BUMPER. IT HAPPENS SOMETIMES WHEN YOU ARE PASSING ANOTHER VEHICLE. MY WIFE HAD IT HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AND A BIG RIG LAID ON HIS HORN BECAUSE HE HE MAY HAVE THOUGHT SHE HAD JUST TAKEN HER FOOT OFF THE GAS. WHEN THIS HAPPENS YOUR BRAKE LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON TO GIVE A WARNING THE CAR IS SLOWING DOWN. THIS IS GETTING TO BE A BAD SITUATION FOR ALL TOYOTA CARS. I HAVE BEEN ON THE INTERNET TO SEE IF OTHERS WERE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. ONE PLACE REGISTERED 124 OCCURRENCES ANOTHER 98. THAT IS JUST THE PEOPLE THAT REGISTERED A COMPLAINT. SOMEONE MAY GET KILLED BEFORE THIS IS CORRECTED. THIS STARTED HAPPENING ON MY CAR WHEN THE FACTORY INSTALLED A UPGRADE TO THE COMPUTER IN THE CAR. WE DID NOT HAVE THAT PROBLEM BEFORE THAT. I TOOK MY CAR IN FOR SERVICE TODAY AND THE MAN LAUGHED ABOUT IT AND SAID IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM. NOTHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT IT. WHEN I RETURNED TO GET THE CAR I SHOWED HIM A COPY OF THE 124 PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE PROBLEM. HE SAID HOW DO YOU THINK I KNEW WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT WHEN YOU MENTIONED IT. THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT.
I GOT A 2012 TOYOTA CAMRY FROM A DEALERSHIP. I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR SIX MONTHS NOW AND IS HAVING PROBLEMS WITH IT. WHILE I AM DRIVING AND PRESSING ON THE GAS WHEN I GET BETWEEN 10-20MPH THE CAR HESITATES/JERKS. I TALKED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY RECOMMEND THAT I TAKE TO THIS PLACE THAT THEY HAVE WORK ON THERE CARS. AND THAT IS ALL THEY COULD DO. I SHOULD NOT BE HAVING THESE TYPE OF PROBLEMS WITH A CAR THAT I JUST GOT AND IS MAKING MONTHLY PAYMENTS ON IT. *TR
WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH THE SUNROOF OF MY TOYOTA CAMRY EXPLODED. IT WAS A LOUD EXPLOSION-TYPE SOUND. THERE WERE NO OVERPASSES IN SIGHT AND VERY LITTLE TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY.THE SUNROOF VISOR WAS CLOSED, THEREFORE NO GLASS DEBRIS AFFECTED PASSENGERS. THE DEALERSHIP SEEMS TO INSIST THAT SOMETHING HIT THE SUNROOF. THE EXPLOSION OF THE SUNROOF CAME OUT OF NOWHERE WITHOUT WARNING. MY 2-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER WAS SITTING IN THE BACK MIDDLE SEAT AND COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED WITH GLASS SHARDS, HAD THE VISOR BEEN OPEN. *TR
DRIVER SIDE SUNVISOR FELL DOWN, IT HITS YOUR FOREHEAD WHILE YOU DRIVE. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS, HOWEVER MY VIN NUMBER DOES NOT MATCH THE VIN NUMBERS THAT ARE BEING RECALLED. *TR
THERE IS A NOISE IN THE FRONT WHEELS OR WHEN BRAKES ARE APPLIED FROM FORWARD TO REVERSE, IT MAKES A CLICKING SOUND THAT CAN BE HEARD INSIDE THE VEHICLE WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES. DEALER HAS CHECKED IT OR LISTENED TO THE NOISE AND SAYS IT IS NORMAL. IT IS STILL WORRIED SOME AS TO WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN A EMERGENCY. *TR
AS MY WIFE AND I WERE RIDING IN THE CAR WE FELT A BRIEF SHUDDER... WE THOUGHT IT WAS MAYBE FROM THE ROAD.... AS TIME WENT ON WE FELT IT ON DIFFERENT ROAD SURFACES.... THE CAR IS EQUIPPED WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION BUT THE SHUDDER FELT LIKE A STANDARD TRANSMISSION THAT NEEDS TO BE DOWN SHIFTED.... WE STARTED SEARCHING THE WEB TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANYONE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND WAS DIRECTED TO TOYOTA WEBSITE AND FOUND OUT ABOUT 5 WEEKS LATER THAT TOYOTA WAS ISSUING A SERVICE TO UPDATE THE SOFTWARE FOR U760E TORQUE CONVERTER SHUDDER.... WE HAD THIS UPGRADE PERFORMED AT HOFFMAN TOYOTA ON NOV.26,2014 BEFORE RECEIVING ANY INFO FROM TOYOTA CORP ... THE SHUDDER HAS NOT BEEN RESOLVED...I WILL BE CALLING THEM TO LET THEM KNOW THAT THIS SERVICE UPGRADE HAS NOT RESOLVED THE PROBLEM... *TR
ON FRIDAY THE 20TH OF SEPTEMBER, I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO QUEENSBORO TOYOTA IN NY TO CHANGE MY OIL AND CHECK WHY MY BRAKE ABS SIGNAL HAZARD LIGHTS WERE ON. THE OIL WAS CHANGED AND I WAS TOLD "NOTHING IS WRONG WITH YOUR BRAKES" AND THE SIGNAL WAS REMOVED. ON SEPTEMBER 24TH, I ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE MY BRAKES FAILED ON ME, SO I RETURNED THE VEHICLE FOR A 2ND DIAGNOSTIC. I WAS THEN TOLD "WHO EVER CHANGED YOUR OIL, THEY PUT THE WRONG BRAKE FLUID AND IT DAMAGED THE BRAKE SYSTEM. MY BRAKE FLUID WAS NEVER CHANGED BECAUSE I HAVE A 2012 NEW CAR AND IT IS UNNECESSARY TO CHANGE IT NOW. I TRIED EXPLAINING MY ISSUE TO THE SUPERVISOR OF THE TOYOTA SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND I WAS TOLD TO DO MY OWN INVESTIGATION ON THE CONTAMINATION OF MY BRAKE FLUID. THE HISTORY OF THE VEHICLE SHOWS QUEENSBORO TOYOTA PERFORMED MY MAINTENCE, SO I HOLD THEM RESPONSIBLE. PLEASE HELP ME, I AM AN HONEST CONSUMER WHO CAN'T AFFORD TO SPEND UNNECESSARY FUNDS FOR AN ISSUE TOYOTA CAN RESOLVE THAT ALMOST CAUSED ME AN ACCIDENT WITH MY 3 DAUGHTERS ON THE HIGHWAY. *TR
ON 9/24/14, WHILE TRAVELING HOME FROM A NEIGHBORHOOD PARK, I WAS HIT BY A TRUCK ON THE DRIVER SIDE. I WAS GOING DOWN A SLIGHT HILL AND WAS GOING TO TURN RIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION. I'M NOT SURE EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED PRIOR TO IMPACT BUT MY TURN SIGNAL WAS ON, I WAS GOING TO TURN RIGHT AND I WAS BREAKING. SUDDENLY, I HEARD THIS LOUD CRASH, WHEN I LOOKED TO MY LEFT, I SAW MY DRIVER'S SIDE MIRROR BEING PUSHED INTO MY DOOR, THEN I SAW THE TRUCK. MY CAR DID NOT STOP. I WAS GOING APPRX 15 TO 25 MILES PER HOUR MAYBE, AND AGAIN I WAS TRAVELING SLIGHTLY DOWNHILL AND WOULD HAVE BEEN MAKING A TURN. I THINK MY CAR WAS CONTINUING TO MOVE FORWARD IN THE SECONDS BEFORE IMPACT. ONCE I WAS HIT, MY CAR CONTINUED TO MOVE, SEEMINGLY FASTER. AT THAT POINT I WAS VERY MUCH AWARE THAT MY CAR WAS NOT STOPPING AND THE BREAKS WERE NOT WORKING. AMAZINGLY, I WAS ABLE TO NAVIGATE THE CORNER (WITHOUT BEING HIT BY ANYONE COMING FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION) AND TURN THE CAR INTO A PARKING LOT (WITH NO CONTROL OF THE BREAKS). IN FRONT OF ME IN THE PARKING LOT, WHICH IS NOT A BIG LOT, MY CAR CONTINUED HEADING IN THE DIRECTION OF A BUILDING THERE. I COULD NOT STOP THE CAR AND WAS FORCED TO PUT IT INTO PARK, HOPING THAT WOULD STOP THE CAR. IT DID. HOWEVER, THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE POLICE WERE CALLED, A TICKET WAS ISSUED TO ME STATING THAT I DROVE WITHOUT DUE CARE AND CAUTION. MY INSURANCE AND TOYOTA HOTLINE HAVE BEEN CONTACTED. THE PROCESS IS JUST BEGINNING AND I WILL NOT KNOW THE FULL EXTENT OF THE DAMAGES UNTIL THE "BLACK BOX" IS INSPECTED. THIS HAS BEEN VERY UPSETTING AND COULD HAVE RESULTED IN A MUCH MORE SERIOUS OUTCOME. I THOUGHT TOYOTA'S ACCELERATION PROBLEMS HAD BEEN DEALT WITH. *TR

I WAS SLOWLY ACCELERATING INTO A PARKING SPACE WHEN I FELT THE GAS PEDAL MOVE AWAY FROM MY FOOT AND THE CAR LURCHED FORWARD. I IMMEDIATELY STEPPED ON THE BRAKES AND THE CAR STOPPED. I SAT FOR A MINUTE TO SEE WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THIS UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. NOTHING WAS EVIDENT, SO I BACKED INTO THE PARKING SPACE AND SHUT THE CAR OFF. *TR
THIS VEHICLE SHUDDERS AND VIBRATES AS IT ACCELERATES BETWEEN 20 TO 30 MPH AND ALSO FROM 40 TO 50 MPH. TOYOTA ISSUED A RECALL TO FIX THIS PROBLEM AND I TOOK THE CAR IN. THE FIX HAS NOT WORKED AND THE ISSUE IS GETTING WORSE. WHAT DO I DO? *JS
I WAS TOLD BY TOYOTA THAT IS NORMAL NOW FOR THE BRAKE ACTUATOR TO PERFORM A TEST ONCE THE CAR CHANGES GEARS FROM FIRST TO SECOND GEAR. THE ACTUATOR MAKES A GRINDING/ODD NOISE NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU HIT THE BRAKES OR GO INTO DIFFERENT GEARS. I DEMONSTRATED THIS ISSUE WITH TOYOTA IN PERSON AND THEN WAS LEFT FOR 3 DAYS. AFTER THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP OPENED A TICKET WITH TOYOTA TECHNICAL SUPPORT, IT IS NOW DEEMED "NORMAL" EVERYDAY YOU START YOUR CAR AND WHEN THE CAR SWITCHES TO SECOND GEAR, "IT IS THE BRAKE ACTUATOR PRESSURIZE AND PERFORMING IT'S TEST". THE SOUND HEARD IS NORMAL. GIVEN THERE HAS BEEN SO MANY ISSUES WITH TOYOTA AND THEIR ACTUATORS. I HOPE THEY HAVE DEEMED MY BRAKE ACTUATOR AS SAFE BECAUSE FROM WHAT I HAVE READ IN THE NEWS, A FAULTY BRAKE ACTUATOR IS VERY UNSAFE. I HAVE CALLED UP TOYOTA CARE WHO SAID "WE ONLY RELY AND TRUST WHAT ARE TECHNICIANS SAY". TOYOTA BETTER HAVE THEIR STORY STRAIGHT BECAUSE THEY HAVE HAD A BAD RECORD IN THE PAST WITH SAFETY ISSUES. *TR

THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE SPEED AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNKNOWN.
WHILE MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING, THE TRUCK IN FRONT OF HIM CAME TO A STOP TO ALLOW FOR ANOTHER VEHICLE TURNING. WHEN MY HUSBAND ATTEMPTED TO STOP, THE BRAKES WHEN RIGHT TO THE FLOOR. HE ATTEMPTED TO BRAKE AGAIN AND IT FINALLY CAUGHT, BUT TOO LATE. THE SUDDEN BRAKING CAUSED THE CAR'S NOSE TO LOWER, UNDER THE TRUCK'S TAILGATE AS HE HIT THE TRUCK IN FRONT OF HIM. THE CAR MAY BE TOTALED WHICH WE SHOULD FIND OUT IN A COUPLE OF DAYS. *TR

WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MPH, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS LIGHTLY DEPRESSED AND THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED AND CAUSED THE CONTACT TO CRASH INTO THE REAR OF ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT APPLIED FORCE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO SURGE FORWARD. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE DETERMINED, BUT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE DEALER UPDATED THE SOFTWARE FOR THE COMPUTER AND PROVIDED A USB WITH TECHNICAL DIAGNOSIS INFORMATION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
RIGHT FROM DAY ONE IN 2012 WHEN I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE- IT RATTLES AND SHAKES. I CHANGED THE TIRES IN JULY 2014 AT 11000 MILES TO MICHELIN (ORIGINAL-WORTHLESS FIRESTONE TYRES). AT 80 MPH ON HIGHWAY TOLL ROADS IT IS UNSTEADY AND CAN BE BLOWN AWAY BY A SLIGHT GUST OF WIND. THE BODY IS WORTHLESS! THE BUMPERS CAME OFF. I HAD TO GET THEM FIXED. THESE TOYOTA CARS ARE TOYS! NOT FIT FOR ROADS. I REGRET BUYING ONE. *TR
I HAVE RECENTLY HAD ISSUES WITH THE LOCKS ON BOTH FRONT DOORS OF MY 2012 CAMRY SE. THE FRONT PASSENGER'S DOOR WOULD ONLY LOCK/UNLOCK MANUALLY, AND NOW THE DRIVER'S DOOR WILL, INTERMITTENTLY, STAY LOCKED WHEN USING THE REMOTE. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE ACTUATOR IN THE FRONT PASSENGER'S DOOR IN JUNE. THEN, LAST MONDAY THE REMOTE WOULDN'T WORK ON 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP, THEY TOLD ME TO BRING IT IN, BUT AFTER LOCK/UNLOCKING THE CAR "ABOUT 150 TIMES" THE SERVICE GUY SAID HE COULD NOT REPLICATE THE ISSUE AND BASICALLY I HAVE TO WAIT FOR IT TO GET WORSE. THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO OCCUR AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN LOCKED FOR OVER AN HOUR. IT'S ONLY AN INCONVENIENCE RIGHT NOW BUT I'M AFRAID THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE PASSENGER'S DOOR, AND AM CONCERNED THAT IT WILL ESCALATE FROM AN INCONVENIENCE TO A SECURITY ISSUE. ALSO, I'M WONDERING IF THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE WITH THE 2012 CAMRY SE. *TR
WHEN DRIVING ON A ROAD AND HITTING A BIG POTHOLE THE SRS LIGHT IN THE DASHBOARD MIGHT LIGHT UP AND STAY ON AS WELL AS THE SEAT BELT RESTRAINT LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT ONCE BEFORE TO THE SERVICE FACILITY OF TOYOTA AND THIS ISSUE GOT FIXED, WHEN I ASKED THE SERVICE STAFF WHY IS THAT HAPPENING THE ANSWER WAS: "IF YOU DRIVE IN A BIG POT HOLE THE CONNECTION TO THE SENSOR THAT IS LOCATED UNDERNEATH THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT MIGHT BECOME LOOSE WHICH REQUIRES TO BE CONNECTED AGAIN AND RE-CALIBRATED. WHILE HAVING THIS ISSUE THE FRONT PASSENGERS AIRBAG MIGHT NOT DEPLOY AS THE LIGHT ON THE MIDDLE CONSOLE STATES THAT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG IS CURRENTLY TURNED OFF EVEN IF THE PASSENGER IS SITTING IN THE SEAT AND IS RESTRAINT. TO ME IT SOUNDS AS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE WHICH SHOULD NOT HAPPEN JUST BECAUSE OF A POT HOLE. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED HE WAS UNABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT IN ORDER TO REMOVE THE KEY HE HAD TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL AND THEN INTO PARK IN ORDER TO TAKE THE KEY OUT OF THE IGNITION. THE FAILURE OCCURRED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE WAS UNABLE TO BE REPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 12,000.
THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED ! I WENT TO STOP FOR THE LIGHT AND THE BRAKES GO TO THE FLOOR.. *TR

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH ATTEMPTING TO AVOID A CRASH, THE CONTACT STEERED THE VEHICLE TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD AND CRASHED INTO A BOULDER AND A SIGN. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY AND NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. AS A RESULT OF IMPACTING HIS HEAD AGAINST THE STEERING WHEEL, THE CONTACT SUSTAINED SPRAINED NECK CERVIX. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED OR DIAGNOSED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 17,000.

WHEN SLOWLY GOING OVER A BUMP OR UNLEVEL GROUND, THE BODY SEEMS TO FLEX AND MAKE LOUD NOISES. THE NOISE COMES FROM AREAS OF THE ROOF AREA EXTENDING FROM THE MOON ROOF TO THE REAR OF THE CAR, AND ALSO FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR OF THE CAR. IT GIVES THE SENSATION OF BROKEN WELDS. *TR
DEAR SIR/MADAM, TOYOTA 2012 CAR REMOTE KEY CAN OPEN THE DOORS OF OTHER TOYOTA CARS. FOR INSTANCE, A REMOTE KEY OF A TOYOTA COROLLA CAN OPEN THE DOORS OF A TOYOTA CAMRY. I DROVE THIS 2012 CAMRY ON THE HIGH WAY TO NASHVILLE TN FOR 8 DAYS VOCATION STARTED 28 JUNE 2014, LOT OF WATER COMING OUT FROM CARPET, HAD TO STOP AND CLEAN WATER IN EVERY COUPLE HOURS(MY HAND WAS INJURED WHEN CLEANING UP WATER). AFTER I ARRIVED A HOTEL, I SEARCHED ON THE INTERNET AND FOUND OUT THAT TOYOTA HAD A RECALL IN DEC 2013 ON THIS A/C WATER LEAK, IT CAN CAUSE "AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT", ELECTRONIC POWER STEERING LIGHT", OR OTHER PROBLEMS. WE ARE VERY WORRIED ABOUT CAR MAY CAUSE ACCIDENT IN THE WHOLE VOCATION. ------ AFTER BACK TO ROCHESTER NY, CALLED TOYOTA AND THEY TOLD ME GO TO TOYOTA SERVICE TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM; SO I WENT TO HENRIETTA NY TOYOTA SERVICE AND TOLD THEM A/C WATER LEAK, THEY SAID THEY WILL FIX THAT, ON THE SERVICE REPORT PRINTED:" CUSTOMER STATES THERE IS A WATER LEAK", "WORK PERFORMED BY XXXX", "CLEANED A/C DRAIN". BUT THE MANAGER LIED TO ME, HE SAID THERE IS NO RECALL. ------ NOT SURE IF IT IS TOTALLY FIXED, CAR STILL VERY MOIST, SMELL IS BAD, EVEN AFTER OPEN CAR'S 4 DOORS, PUT THE CARPET BASK IN THE SUN FOR FEW DAYS. ------ YESTERDAY, I FOUND ANOTHER TOYOTA SERVICE REPORT AND RECALL LETTER FROM TOYOTA ON 12/28/2013, AND THIS REPORT SHOWS THEY "PERFORMED WORK BY XXXX." . I TOTALLY FORGOT THIS CAR RECALLED AND ALREADY PERFORMED THE "FIX" FOR A/C WATER LEAK PROBLEM, OBVIOUSLY, TOYOTA SERVICE DID NOT FIX THIS PROBLEM AND THEY LIED TO ME. ------ THIS CAMRY HAS DAMAGE UNDER CARPET BECAUSE OF WATER LEAK, IT MAY CAUSE SOME ELECTRIC CIRCUITS PROBLEMS IN THE FUTURE, I DON'T WANT TO BE WORRY EVERYDAY, SO I DON'T WANT THIS CAR ANY MORE (THE LEASE TERM WILL END IN ONE MORE YEAR AND A MONTH, I PAID $3000 DOWN PAYMENT FOR 3 YEAR LEASE, ALSO EVERY MONTH PAYMENT). THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED AND WAS ABLE TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED OF THE INCIDENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 18000.

THE VEHICLE SEEMED TO HAVE A MIND OF ITS OWN, AND IT WOULD TAKE ITS OWN COURSE DOWN THE ROAD. THE CONSUMER STATED IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS AT 60 MPH, AND THE CURVES WERE EVEN WORSE, AS THE CONSUMER NEEDED TO CORRECT THE STEERING A LOT MORE. WHEN HE TURNED ONTO A CURVE, THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING WOULD OVER REACT AND CONTINUED TURNING THE VEHICLE AFTER HE STOPPED TURNING THE WHEEL, AT THAT POINT HE HAD TO TURN THE WHEEL THE OTHER WAY TO CORRECT THE OVER STEERING. *JB

THE CONDITION SEEMS TO BE GETTING WORST AS TIME GOES ON. CONCERN LIES IN WHETHER OR NOT THE SEAT IS SECURELY BOLTED DOWN (THEY CONFIRMED IT IS) BUT IS JUST LOOSE WITHIN THE TRACK AND IF SO WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IN THE CASE OF A COLLISION?
