I FIRST NOTICED SEVERE VIBRATION WHEN GOING ON HIGHWAY, I APPLIED BRAKE AND THE ENTIRE FRONT END STARTED TO VIBRATE. THE CAR ONLY HAS AROUND 16,000 MILES AND ITS 2018 MODEL. BAD ROTOR IS CAUSING THIS TO SHAKE. THIS ROTOR MUST HAVE COME FROM THE FACTORY DEFECTIVE. THE DEALER IS UNWILLING TO REPLACE IT. THEY WANT ME TO PAY FOR THIS REPAIR AROUND $300. I REALIZE THAT BRAKE PADS ARE NOT COVERED BUT THE ROTORS SHOULD BE COVERED BECAUSE THEY CAME LIKE THAT FROM THE FACTORY.
SEVERE HIGH IMPACT FRONT AND REAR COLLISION, NO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. VEHICLE HYDROPLANED, STRUCK CONCRETE CENTER BARRIER, SPUN THREE TIMES ACROSS 3 LANES OF HIGHWAY AND HIT GUARDRAIL IN REAR. NO AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. I HAVE ONLY UNLOADED FRONT PICTURES, SITE WOULD NOT ALLOW MORE THAN 5 PICTURES. PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR THE REAR DAMAGE PICTURES
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE 1 MONTH AGO. IT HAS STALLED ON THE FREEWAY TWICE. I AM AT 10K MILES. THE DEALER IS REPLACING THE "BAD" FUEL PUMP WITH ANOTHER IDENTICAL PUMP! THOSE CARS CONSIDERED PART OF THE KNOWN RECALL GET A DIFFERENT PUMP. SO I AM TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE AT MY OWN RISK.
THE DRIVER DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK AT TIMES THE KEY WILL NOT WORK AND THE ONLY WAY TO UNLOCK IS BY GOING THROUGH THE PASSENGER SIDE AND UNLOCKING THE DRIVER DOOR. ALSO NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WHERE THE CAR HAS LOST COMPLETE POWER AND YOU HAVE TO PULL OVER TURN IT OFF AND TURN IT BACK ON
SUNROOF EXPLODED GOING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, NO IMPACT FROM ROCK OR DEBRIS IT MAD A VERY, VERY LOUD 'BOOM' AND AFTERWARD WE PULLED OVER FOR INSPECTION AND THE SUNROOF EXPLODED UPWARD. THE GLASS SPLIT THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE GLASS PANEL
MY SON, [XXX], HYDROPLANED IN HEAVY RAIN WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND HIT THE CONCRETE MEDIAN AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. THE IMPACT WAS VERY HARD AND INVOLVED THE FRONT AND DRIVER SIDE AND SUSTAINED HEAVY DAMAGE. THE FRONT NOR SIDE AIRBAG DEPLOYED AND THEREFORE HIS HEAD COLLIDED WITH THE STEERING WHEEL. HE SUSTAINED INJURIES TO INCLUDE A CONCUSSION AND A TORN AVAR LIGAMENT IN IS NECK. HIS INJURIES HAVE HIM INCAPACITATED. PARTS OF THIS DOCUMENT HAVE BEEN REDACTED TO PROTECT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *JS
SEVERAL COMPLAINTS ALL REPORTED TO THE DEALER DURING REGULAR SERVICE INTERVALS. 1. STARTED THE DAY I DROVE IT NEW OFF THE LOT - CLOCK RADIO WAS GAINING 1 MINUTE EVERY WEEK, DEALER FLASHED SYSTEM SEVERAL TIMES ON MULTIPLE SERVICE APPOINTMENTS BEST IT HAS GOTTEN DOWN TO IS GAINING 1 MINUTE A MONTH. 2. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS I WOULD PARK THE CAR FOR THE EVENING 1-2 HOURS LATER SOMEONE WOULD WALK PAST THE CAR NOTICE A HUMMING FROM THE REAR OF THE CAR, I'D GO CHECK SOUNDED LIKE THE FUEL PUMP RUNNING, INSERT KEY TURN ON IGNITION (NOT START CAR) TURN KEY OFF NOISE WAS GONE. REPORTED TO DEALER NOTHING FOUND COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. 3. STARTED AROUND 25K MILES - CAR IS VERY SLUGGISH, AND JERKY ON SLOW GRADUAL ACCELERATION FEELS LIKE A BAD PLUG OR FUEL DELIVERY PROBLEM, CAN BE DRIVING DOWN FLAT STRAIGHT INTERSTATE HIGHWAY CAR WILL HICCUP SPIT AND SPUTTER FOR A SECOND OR TWO THEN RESUMES SPEED. REPORTED TO DEALER DURING ROUTINE SERVICE COMPUTER DIDN'T THROW A CODE SO NOTHING COULD BE DONE OBSERVED 0.1 MPG DECREASE IN FUEL MILEAGE. 4. 28K-30K MILES STARTED CAR FOR WORK IDLED AND SHOOK HORRIBLY FOR 20-30 SECONDS JUST AS I REACHED FOR THE KEY TO SHUT IT OFF AND DRIVE MY SPARE CAR IT SMOOTHED OUT AND RAN FINE. FELT LIKE A DEAD CYLINDER SUSPECT A BAD PLUG OR COIL PACK ONCE AGAIN REPORTED TO THE DEALER NOTHING FOUND. 5. CAR NOW AT 38K MILES FUEL MILEAGE HAS GRADUALLY DECREASED FROM MAX OF 37 MPG WHEN NEW NOW DOWN TO 35.8 MPG WITHOUT ANY CHANGE IN DRIVING HABITS OR ROUTE. SINCE WARRANTY IS EXPIRED I WILL CHANGE SPARK PLUGS MYSELF TO SEE IF THE SLUGGISHNESS SUBSIDES AND MILEAGE RETURNS TO WHAT I CONSIDERED NORMAL FOR THE CAR.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO TOYOTA OF FAYETTEVILLE (1352 W SHOWROOM DR, FAYETTEVILLE, AR 72704) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE MANUFACTURER FOR WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY TOYOTA CAMRY 2018. THE CAR FEEL VERY HEAVY WHEN DRIVING, TGE STEERING WHEEL ARE STIFF AND DIFFICULT TO MOVE SOMETIMES. THE BRAKES ARE NOT STABLE LIKE THEY SHOULD EVEN AFTER I PAID FOR IT TO BE FIX. THE GAS GAUGE REFUSE TO OPEN WHEN IT'S TIME TO FUEL GAS THE CAR MAKES NOISES. IT'S VERY FRUSTRATING AND IT'S NOT WORTH WHAT I PAY FOR.

Vehicle should have automatic emergency braking safety feature when vehicle is driving in “Reverse”. I made a very careless and dangerous mistake because I was in a rush and placed my vehicle in “Reverse” instead of “Park”, immediately after parking on the street in front of my friend’s house. Not realizing the vehicle was in reverse, I quickly opened the driver’s side door and placed my left foot on the street as I was getting out. Suddenly, the moving vehicle and opened driver’s side door knocked me down on the street and continued to drive in reverse crushing my body. The vehicle should have stopped the moment it hit something or before it hit something. Instead, the vehicle smashed me against the pavement, rolled right over me, and then continued in reverse at a rapid speed. At the same time, my friend was getting out of the front passenger side and was almost pinned against a telephone pole that the opened passenger side door hit, but thankfully she got out of the way just in time. The car, however, continued running in reverse. Another friend had to run down the street and literally jump in the driver’s side to quickly place his foot on the brakes. I was still laying injured on the street in agony, and sustained multiple injuries.

AFTER RETRIEVING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL FUEL ODOR COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE SAME DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE MANUFACTURER TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 8,000.

THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO SIERRA SUBARU OF MONROVIA (735 E CENTRAL AVE, MONROVIA, CA 91016) FOR A TRADE-IN HOWEVER, THE TRADE-IN WAS DENIED DUE TO THE VEHICLE BEING INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V682000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) AND THE PART NOT BEING AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT RECEIVED A NOTIFICATION OF THE RECALL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. 2018 TOYOTA CAMARY SE. STEERING WHEEL IS STIFF AND LOCKS IN PLACE AS YOU ARE DRIVING AND TURN THE WHEEL SO IT DOES NOT RETURN IF YOU LET GO OF THE WHEEL AND YOU HAVE TO PUT A LOT OF PRESSURE TO TRY AND TURN BACK AND TURN MORE IN TO THE CORNER,
I HAVE A 2018 CAMRY XSE, THE TIRES THAT CAME WITH CAR HAS A LOT OF SIDEWALL PROBLEMS, WITHIN THE LAST 5 MONTHS I HAD TO REPLACE 5 TIRES DUE TO SIDEWALL DAMAGE. EACH TIME THE DAMAGE WILL OCCUR, WITH HITTING A SMALL POT HOLE, OR A SLIGHT RUBBING AGAINST THE CURB. THE BRAND OF TIRE ARE BRIDGESTONE,TURANZA 235/40R19. I REMEMBER WHEN BRIDGESTONE AND MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH THERE TIRES WHICH CAUSE FATALITIES MANY YEARS AGO. SO I'M WONDERING IF THE SAME PRACTICE IS HAPPENING AGAIN
MY WIFE'S 2018 CAMRY ROLLED AWAY DOWN OUR DRIVEWAY WHILE THE SHIFTER WAS IN PARK. IT'S GOT 33K MILES ON IT. ON THE WAY DOWN THE HILL, IT CLEARLY ENGAGED THE PARKING PIN BECAUSE IT DRUG THE FRONT WHEELS 10 OR SO FEET BEFORE HITTING MY NEIGHBORS HOUSE. THE CAR WAS RUNNING, I HOPPED OUT AFTER PUTTING IT IN PARK AND ALL FOUR DOORS UNLOCKED. I PUT A PACKAGE IN THE REAR DRIVER SIDE, WENT TO OPEN THE TRUNK, MY WIFE (WHO WAS SITTING IN THE PASSENGERS SEAT) HIT THE REMOTE ON THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION, AND THE CAR ROLLED BACKWARDS AND NEARLY HIT ME. ALL FOUR DOORS RELOCKED, THE PAWL CLICKED UNTIL IT ENGAGED AS IT ROLLED AWAY. IT JUMPED THE STREET, AND PARK ENGAGED AND IT SLID THE LAST 15 OR SO FEET. THE CAR WAS STILL RUNNING UNTIL MY WIFE REMOVED THE KEY. THE SHIFTER ASSEMBLY WAS IN PARK THE ENTIRE TIME.
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE PERFORMANCE OF THE VEHICLE IS BAD. BAD IDLE, WEAK ENGINE, JUST THE CAR IS NOT PERFORMING PROPERLY. I USED THE SCANNER TO SEE THE CODE AND I HAD MORE THAN ONE . P0171 P0505 P117B P0441 P0455 . FUEL/AIR MIXTURE IS LEAN . AND I HEAR THE FUEL PUMP MAKING THAT NOISE THAT INDICATES A BAD FUEL PUMP. IT'S WHEN I PUT THE KEY IN I HEAR IT LOUD ENOUGH AND IF I TURN THE KEY ON IT DOES IT AGAIN. WHEN I PUT IT ON P IT REVS AND RPM GOES UP AND THEN COMES DOWN, UP AGAIN DOWN AGAIN ... WHEN STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT THE CAR WANTS TO MOVE AND RPM KEEPS SHAKING. *TR
AS I WAS STARTING OUT MY DRIVEWAY THE STEERING SUDDENLY GOT VERY STIFF AND WHEN IT WOULD TURN IT WOULD NOT RETURN TO CENTER, SO I HAD TO DO THAT MYSELF. IT ONLY DID IT ONCE SO I CONTINUED TO MY DESTINATION, BUT WHEN I STARTED HOME IT BECAME MORE AND MORE STIFF AND WAS MAKING A GROWLING NOISE. I DROVE IT SLOWLY HOME AND HAD TO PARK IT FOR NEARLY TWO WEEKS TO WAIT FOR AN APPOINTMENT BECAUSE I WAS VERY CONCERNED THAT IT WOULD LOCK UP TOTALLY,. FINALLY GOT IT IN FOR SERVICE AND SERVICE SAID THAT THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT WAS BINDING AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. THIS SEEMS TO ME TO BE A VERY ODD PROBLEM TO HAVE WITH ONLY 47,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO REFERRED THE CONTACT TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED TOYOTA DEALER TO BE REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 182,916.

POWER STEERING VERY STIFF AND DOESN'T RETURN TO NEUTRAL AGAIN. HAD HAPPENED SEVERAL WEEKS AGO, WENT BACK TO NORMAL, BUT RETURNED YESTERDAY AFTER A CAR WASH. DIFFICULT TO CORRECT WHEN IN THE DRIVEWAY OR ON SHARP TURNS AFTER STOPPING. 49,000 MILES ON 2018 CAMRY HYBRID LE. WILL HAVE TOYOTA REVIEWS AT 50K SERVICE IN A FEW WEEKS. REALLY VERY DISTURBING.

HESITATION AND MAJOR JERK WHEN ACCELERATING AT LOW MPH FROM A ROLLING STOP. TSB #T-SB-0152-19_REV SHOULD BE APPLIED TO PRACTICALLY EVERY CAMRY FROM 2018 & 2019. UNFORTUNATELY I CAN NOT HAVE THIS DONE TO MY CAR BECAUSE MY VIN IS NOT SUPPORTED IN THIS BULLETIN, I HAVE NO IDEA WHY IT WOULDN'T BE BUT IT DEFINITELY SHOULD BE BECAUSE THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH MY CAR EVERY SINGLE DAY. IT'S GETTING EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING AND IT FEELS LIKE MY ENGINE/TRANSMISSION ARE GOING TO FAIL SOON AND MY CAR ONLY HAS 34000 MILES ON IT. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. WHILE DRIVING THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME STIFF TO TURN, UNPREDICTABLE, AND WOULDN'T RETURN TO NEUTRAL POSITION WITHOUT EFFORT. SAME SENSE WHILE STEERING IN THE DRIVEWAY. HAPPENED AT ANY SPEED. THE STEERING ISSUE SLOWLY WENT BACK TO NORMAL AFTER A WEEK OR ABOUT 300 MILES. I SET UP AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE TOYOTA DEALER BUT CANCELLED WHEN STEERING IMPROVED AND WILL MENTION IT TO THEM AGAIN AT THE 50,000 MILE SERVICE. *TR
I HAVE AN ISSUE OF WHEN RESUMING ACCELERATION FROM A SLOW DOWN OR A COMPLETE STOP. THE CAR WILL HESITATE/ HICCUP AND GIVE STUTTERS WHILE ACCELERATING. A SUDDEN SPIKE IN RPM IS NOTICED AS WELL.

GAS COMES OUT OF THE FUEL FILL UP PIPE IN WARM WEATHER AFTER CAR HAS BEEN FILLED WITH GAS. CAR IS NOT OVER FILLED. SPLASHED UP TO 3 CUPS OF GAS ONTO SIDE OF CAR. CHANGE IS GAS CAP DID NOT SOLVE PROBLEM. CHARCOAL FILTER REPLACED BUT DID NOT FIX. HAPPENS WHEN CAR IS PARKED AFTER BEING DRIVEN.
FUEL KEEP COMING BACK UP FROM THE INTAKE (CAP) EVERY-TIME IT'S FULL AND HAPPEN ON HOT WEATHER DAYS WHILE IN PARKING LOT. IT'S HAPPENED A MONTH AFTER I BOUGHT THE CAR (BRAND NEW), THE DEALER TRIED TO REPLACE CHARCOAL CANISTER, BUT NOW AFTER A YEAR THE PROBLEM COME BACK AGAIN AND BEEN HAPPENING FOR MONTHS NOW, BRING TO THE DEALER NOW (DIFFERENT THAN THE ONE BEFORE), THEY CAN'T FIGURE OUT AND BLAME ME FOR OVERFILL. THEY DIDN'T WANT TO DO ANY REPAIR OR FURTHER INVESTIGATION BECAUSE THEY DON'T WANT TO ADMIT THAT THEY DIDN'T TOTALLY FIX THE PROBLEM, IT'S EASIER FOR THEM TO BLAME IT ON THE CONSUMERS. PROBLEM STILL THERE, NOW I'M WORRY IT CAN CAUSE AN EXPLOSION ANYTIME. AND THIS IS MY ONLY CAR TO COMMUTE FOR NOW. I HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM TO THE CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT THEY SEEM NOT TO CARE AT ALL STATING THAT THE DEALER DID NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. TODAY I NOTICED DURING MY CAR PARKED AT START UP THERE WAS A TICKING SOUND TOWARDS THE FRONT END OF THE ENGINE. AFTER MAYBE ABOUT A MIN OR TWO IT QUIETED DOWN A LIL BUT IT IS STILL NOTICEABLE WHEN YOUR STANDING IN FRONT OF CAR. I CAN'T SEEM TO FIGURE OUT IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL PUMP OR IF THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING AS TO MY PREVIOUS COMMENT ON ACCELERATION DELAY FROM A STOP.
MY TOYOTA CAMRY 2018 SE HAVE A DELAYED ACCELERATION. I .E WHEN YOU GO ON A HIGHWAY AND PRESS THE GAS PEDAL IT WILL INCREASE THE RPM BUT NOT THE CAR SPEED AND SEEMS LIKE CAR IS NOT IN D BUT ON N. I HAVE 2018 TOYOTA CAMRY AND THIS IS THE VERY FIRST TIME THAT I HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY GAS TANK LATCH NOT OPENING UP. I REPORTED THIS TO DICK DYER TOYOTA AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME FOR THIS ISSUE. THE FUEL FILLER TUBE IS SOMETIMES BLOCKED CAUSING FUEL TO SPILL OUT OF THE FUEL DOOR. CAN NOT FILL FUEL TANK WHEN THIS HAPPENS. FUEL IN ALL OVER THE CAR AND GROUND
I PURCHASED A TOYOTA CAMRY ON 2/17/20. TWO WEEKS LATER THE SRS AIRBAG MALFUNCTION LIGHT STARTED TO ILLUMINATE AND THE REAR SEATBELT ALARM CONTINOUSLY SOUND OFF ALERTING ME TO FASTEN SEATBELTS WHEN NO ONE WAS SITTING BACK THERE. I TRIED TAKING THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER I PURCHASED IT FROM TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON BUT WAS TOLD IT HAD TO BE TAKEN TO TOYOTA. AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE TO TOYOTA, I FOUND OUT THE WIRING HARNESS HAD BEEN TORN AND THAT IT WOULD COST ME $4,900.00 TO FIX THE ISSUE. I WAS ALSO TOLD IF I WAS EVER IN AN ACCIDENT, THE AIRBAG MORE THAN LIKELY WOULDN'T DEPLOY. SINCE DISCOVERING THIS ISSUE, I HAVE NOT BEEN DRIVING THE VVEHICLEDUE TO THE SAFETY ISSUE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TOYOTA OF ROCKWALL LOCATED AT 1250 E INTERSTATE 30, ROCKWALL, TX 75087, (469) 331-8372, HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE BY MAIL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,900.
WHEN I TURN ON THE KEY, BEFORE IGNITION AND THE CAR IS OFF FOR SEVERAL HOURS, I HEAR A HUMMING SOUND COMING FROM THE TRUNK AREA. I STRONGLY BELIEVE IT IS COMING OUT FROM THE GAS PUMP. I HAVE EXPRESSED MY CONCERN TO MY TOYOTA DEALER DURING MY LAST TWO SERVICES. NO FEEDBACK HAS BEEN GIVEN TO ME.

THREE SEPARATE TIMES IN LESS THAN 20,000 MILES, THERE WAS A BUBBLE ON THE SIDE OF OUR TIRE WHICH HAD TO BE REPLACED!!!! IN 50 PLUS YEARS OF DRIVING, WE NEVER HAD A BUBBLE ON THE SIDE OF A TIRE, WHICH NEEDED EACH TIME TO BE REPLACED LEST WE HAVE A BLOWOUT. THE SERVICE MANAGER DURING ONE OF OUR REPLACEMENTS TOLD US THAT THE PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY TOYOTA PROVIDING INADEQUATE PROTECTION FOR THE WHEELS. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION WHICH WILL LEAD TO BLOWOUTS AND DEATHS UNLESS THE NHTSA TAKES IMMEDIATE ACTION. THE SERVICE MANAGER, SPEAKING CONFIDENTIALLY. TOLD US THAT TOYOTA WILL FIGHT THIS RATHER THAN SPEND $1200. PER TIRE CASING TO DO THE RIGHT THING. YOU MUST ACT BEFORE DEATHS OCCUR FROM BLOWOUTS. ALSO, TOYOTA SHOULD REIMBURSE FOR ALL TIRE BUBBLING!!

I purchased a brand new 2018 toyota camry le with nothing but problems from the beginning. The brakes have been bad from day 1. The make noise when braking and they supposedly fixed it. I was driving on the freeway down a hill and when I went to press on the brakes they did not do anything and I had the pedal all the way down. I had to pump the brakes putting me and my passengers in danger. The engine hesitates when accelerating. I took it in twice already and they don't know what the issue is. Once it finally decides to go it accelerates excessively putting the driver in danger. This has been going in for years.
MY STEERING HAS BECOME VERY STIFF. LIKE IT IS HESITATING WHEN I MAKE TURNS AS IF MY POWER STEERING FLUID IS LOW BUT IT IS ELECTRICAL. MY CAR ALSO STALLS WHEN I ACCELERATE THE GAS. MENTIONED IT TO DEALER WHEN FIRST GOT THE VEHICLE IN 2018 AND THEY SAID IT WAS JUST BECAUSE OF THE TYPE OF ENGINE THAT WAS IN IT. STEERING HAPPENS WHEN TAKING OFF, SLOWING DOWN, AND MAKING ANY KIND OF TURN OR LANE CHANGE. ENGINE HESITATES WHEN I ACCELERATE. TAKING TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE ISSUE CHECKED OUT.
THE CAR HAS BECOME INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO STEER. SOMETIMES VERY DIFFICULT TO STEER LEFT OR RIGHT. THIS WAS INITIALLY FELT OCCASIONALLY WHEN DRIVING AND IS NOW HAPPENING ALL THE TIME. IT FEELS LIKE ISSUE IS RELATED TO THE STEERING SHAFT AND STEERING BOX. ISSUES STARTED ABOUT TWO MONTH AGO AND HAS BEEN GETTING WORSE.
THE CAR SHUDDERS AND APPEARS TO ALMOST STALL WHEN IN MOTION. THIS HAPPENS RANDOMLY. IT HAPPENED FROM THE VERY FIRST YEAR IT WAS DRIVEN. ONCE IT ACTUALLY STALLED AT AN INTERSECTION JUST AS THE TRAFFIC LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND I PULLED FORWARD. I HAD NOT BRAKED. THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT.
OFTEN DURING ACCELERATION, MY CAR SEEMS TO SPUTTER OR MISFIRE. WHEN TAKING OFF THERE SEEMS TO BE, AS THE ONLY WAY I CAN DESCRIBE IT, AN AIR BUBBLE IN THE FUEL LINE. KINDA LIKE FUEL ISN'T CONSTANTLY BEING FED TO THE ENGINE. THERE ARE GAPS. WHILE DRIVING AT A CONSTANT SPEED, THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN. ALSO, SOMETIMES WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOPPED POSITION, MY CAR ACCELERATES SLOWLY AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN, TAKES OFF AS IF ITS PLAYING CATCH UP. ALTHOUGH THERE ISN'T AN ACTIVE RECALL ON MY CAR, I THINK THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE FUEL PUMP.
I WAS DRIVING TO PICK UP MY WIFE AT WARD LOW STATION IN LONG BEACH ALL OF A SUDDEN THE WARNING LIGHT COME ON INDICATE LOW BRAKE WARNING THAN I TRY TO STEP ON THE BRAKE AND L CAN NOT STOP THE CAR. I HIT THE CURVE SIDE JUST STOP THE CAR. THERE'S A DAMAGE ON THE FRONT PASSENGER BUMPER. I CALLED THE TOWING COMPANY TO TOW MY CAR TO THE SHOP.
I JUST BOUGHT MY CAR AND THE TRANSMISSION JERKS AND IS REALLY BAD. DEALER SAID HE'S AWARE BUY TOYOTA ISNT DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND IT PASSES THE SOFTWARE TESTS. I READ ONLINE AND THERE'S HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE COMPLAINING OF THE SAME ISSUE. MY CAR IS A WEEK OLD... I REALLY HOPE YOU CAN INVESTIGATE THIS AND MAKE.TOYOTA FIX THEIR TRANSMISSIONS. THE ISSUE HAPPENS WHEN FIRST STARTING; WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND REALLY ANY TIME I PRESS THE GAS.
