The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated while his wife was driving 30 MPH and depressing the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to immediately stop. The driver stated that the oil service warning light was illuminated. The driver pumped the brake pedal forcefully to the floor to stop the vehicle. The driver was able to continue driving to her destination. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V888000 (Services Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 64,000.
Brake fluid leaking from master cylinder through the firewall back inside the cab and down the brake pedal.Appears it has a Defective seal in the master cylinder.Brake pedal seems harder than normal.
My car while driving every so often miles will have the abs light go on with the traction control light and the amb symbol going off. When plugged into device at auto zone code C1422 stating the master cylinder pressure sensor zero point high. I’ve tried replacing the break light switch which is a common repair for people with that problem I’ve checked all harness and wiring all is intact and undamaged/ no water damage. When I look up my vin number in kellybluebooks website a recall appears for a brake master cylinder recall for improper machining of the brake master master cylinder. Which will cause internal damage of one of the seals, affecting brake performance. It affected 44121 of vehicles of my year. But when looked up in this website and Toyota no recalls appear which is strange. The defect it has when the abs light and etc. lights go off is it will force the car to stop moving by locking the brake system and smoking out the calipers till brought to 0mph which is very dangerous when operating in the freeway as cars behind my aren’t expecting a sudden stop. The repair is to replace the whole master cylinder. Which Toyota would want me to pay but it should be a defect from a recall.
A full replacement of the cylinder 1 head and valves at only 60,000 miles, repair estimate of $8000
Took my car for Regular maintenance and they did tire rotation and etc after that the car was driving kind of off now its just acting up started shaking and jerks like shutters and stuff feels vrry unsafe
Fuel pump failure at 63k miles. Check Engine light came on. P0171 code thrown. Truck began hard starting, and rough idling. Stalled on freeway, stuck at 4k RPM and would not drop. Had to pull off and restart. Checked entire system with certified independent service/AAA mechanic and fuel pump was diagnosed. Fuel pump whines in tank, and fuel trim levels are way off... maxing out in output (39), and falling into the negatives in short term trim levels. All other components testing ok/within ranges. Massive recall on fuel pump for my exact same year/make/model/engine, but my VIN does not show as affected... clearly it has the same issue. I need this pump fixed ASAP, as does everyone else affected that did not get to be apart of the recall.
Full tank of fuel and dashboard is showing 30 miles until empty warning. I have received the engine warning ? sign on my dashboard as well when this happens. This issue also affects me on the road when I am pressing the accelerator and the engine will not respond, this gas been an issue since they did the fuel pup recall. With a delay in acceleration comes a delay on the brake system as well, two intenses that I've had to press my foot as hard as possible on the brake to avoid a collusion with another vehicle. The last time this happened was on 4/17/2022
I was told of a coolant leak in my truck... Took it in to have it looked at and there is a bubble in the block that popped. Toyota current has the same issue with their 2.5 liter engines when a flow meter wasn't working properly causing issues with the casting of the engine blocks. I brought this to Toyota and they say its out of warrantee. This isn't a warranty issue its a safety issue now because if the vehicle looses all coolant it can overheat causing catastrophic failure to the engine. The service director told me personally that it wouldn't matter if I babied this truck or if I rode it hard the bubble would've popped either way. The pictures I sent are of the passenger side of the block on the left side of the motor mount.
IN A MATTER OF MINUTES, THE BRAKES WERE FINE AND THEN THEY WEREN'T. THERE WAS NO NOTICE GIVEN. PUSHED ON THE BRAKES, THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR AND DID NOT STOP OR SLOW THE VEHICLE DOWN. PUMPED THE BRAKES AND WAS ABLE TO SAFELY DECELERATE, BUT NOT BEFORE ALMOST CRASHING INTO THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. AN INDEPENDENT BRAKE SHOP HAS INDICATED THE MASTER CYLINDER IS LEAKING INTERNALLY. THERE IS A SAFETY RECALL (18V-888) FOR PRODUCTION DATES OF 30 DAYS BEFORE THIS VEHICLE WAS PRODUCED. SEEMS TO ME THAT THIS VEHICLE EXHIBITS THE IDENTICAL BEHAVIOR IN THE RECALL THAT APPLIES TO "NOT" THIS ONE. AT LEAST AT THE TIME OF THIS WRITING.
Brake pedal went to floor as I tried to stop truck from hitting a VW that rear ended a truck in front of them. I can still press brake pedal to floor taking just a few seconds to do so. I have forward this fact to my insurance adjuster, along with the dash camera footage of the accident.
I have 4 Toyo Open Range A31, P25 45 R16 Tires on my 2019 Toyota Tacoma. They were new tires on the 2019 Tacoma when I purchased it new from the Toyota Dealership in August 2019. 4 tires on the Tacoma and 1 Spare tire. I noticed over he life of these 4 Toyo tires they wore rapidly and chunked and lost chunks of rubber in the tread areas. I always rotated and balanced my Toyo tires as required. I had yearly front end alignments done . 2020 and 2021. I do an air check every 30 days. There are no mechanical problems with my 2019 Toyota Tacoma. When these Toyo Open Range A31 Tires were new they started out at 11/32 tread in August 2019. As previously noted all 4 tires wore rapidly and chunked, rubber loss in thread. By October 2021at 19,500 all 4 Tires were at 5/32 closer to 4/32 and had Chunking Rubber loss in threads on all 4 tires. These tires lasted 2 years and 19,500 miles and must now be replaced. Toyota does not warranty the Toyo Tires and told me to deal with Toyo Tires directly. Toyo Tire has been challenging to deal with and are only offering 25% off towards a purchase of 4 new Toyo Tires. This in Unacceptable. Its reasonable for a consumer to expect more than 19,500 miles or 2 years from tires. The Big Picture and Major Concern is Safetey !! These Toyo Open Range A31 Tires Wore Out and Chunked with Rubber Loss in Thread by the time they were 2 years old and by the time they reached 19,500 miles. For safety reason I must replace these tires. I respectfully request that NTSB investigate this serious safety matter.
The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH and depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact stated that the traction control, collision control, and LSD warning lights were illuminated. The contact was able to continue driving and the warning light turned off independently. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer where the vehicle was currently being serviced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 42,600.
To whom it may concern, I was issued a recall on this vehicle for a defective fuel pump. I have been attempting to rectify the situation through City World Toyota located at 3333 Boston Road, Bronx, NY 10469. On 7/1/2021 I spoke with Jorcelyn and was told the part needed to replace the defective component was not in stock and it would be ordered and available within a 4 weeks. I was told I would receive a call back and never did. On 8/9/2021, over a month later, I got in touch with Wasile and was again told the part was not in stock. I was told they would check and then call back the following day. Again, I never received a call back. On 8/12/2021 I called again and was told they do not have the part in stock and would call back with an ETA. It was been months since this recall was issued and City World Toyota has not rectified the issue. This vehicle has been unsafe to drive since the recall has been issued and I have been pleading with them to resolve it. The customer service standards as well as the regard for safety from City World Toyota has been abysmal. There is no doubt this establishment is blatantly ignoring these safety recalls for not only myself but many others as well.
I was driving my truck a 2019 TRD off road Tacoma from San Diego to LA I was on the 605 freeway in the fast lane when I noticed smoke smell and then I noticed fire flames by the air conditioner and the phone charging plate I proceed to Exit the freeway thankfully I did not get in a car accident with any other vehicles however I was unable to stop and put out the fire. It's very upsetting because at no fault of my own I am now lob obligated to find another vehicle and I am not in the financial or credit position that I was when I bought my truck that is now a total loss by my insurance it covers my loan but not much after that so the fact that I've heard that this has been an issue for a few other Tacoma's And it's not even listed yet there's a problem the fact that this is not within my control as to what happened and there's nothing but oh well good luck getting another car Something needs to change.
THE PASSENGER SEATBELT LIGHT KEEPS BLINKING WHEN SEAT BELT IS BUCKLED AND IT SAYS PASSENGER AIRBAG IS OFF WHILE THERE IS SOMEONE IN THERE AND BUCKLED UP. THIS HAPPENS WHEN PARKED OR DRIVING, WE HAVE UNHOOKED THE BATTERY TO TRY TO RESET IT. NO LUCK. I AM AFRAID IF WE WERE TO GET IN AN ACCIDENT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WOULD NOT DEPLOY.
TRUCK STARTING LUNGE FORWARD WHILE IN HIGHWAY GOING SPEED LIMIT ALMOST LIKE IT'S SLIPPING GEARS
MULTIPLE OCCURANCES - 2019 TACOMA 42XXX MILES AND ON THE 3RD ISSUE OF WARPING FRONT ROTORS. VEHICLE IS HIGHWAY DRIVEN PRIMARILY AND ROTORS WARP AND CAUSE SHAKING WHILE BRAKING AT OR AROUND 3000 MILES AFTER HAVING THEM CUT OR REPLACED. SHAKING IS VIOLENT WHEN SLOWING FROM 65-70MPH AND LIGHTLY PRESENT DURRING CITY DRIVING. THIS ISSUE WAS ALSO A PROBLEM ON MY PREVIOUS 2019 TACOMA, MY 2018 TOYOTA CHR, AND MY 2014 TOYOTA COROLLA LEADING ME TO BELIEVE THIS IS NOT A MODEL SPECIFIC ISSUE. ON PAST VEHICLE THE CONCERN WAS RESOLVED BY SWITCHING TO A NON OEM ROTOR. EVERY TOYOTA I HAVE DRIVEN THAT WAS 20110 OR NEWER ALSO HAS A HEAVY FRONT BIAS TO ITS BRAKE PRESSURE DISTRIBUTION WHICH IS MORE THANK LIKELY A KEY COMPONENT TO THE CAUSE OF THIS ONGOING CONCERN.

NOTICEABLE VIBRATION WHEN SLOWING DOWN. IT HAPPENS BETWEEN 40MPH TO 0 MPH. SLIGHT VIBRATION WHILE ACCELERATING FROM A STOP TO AROUND 45MPH. ENGINE ALSO SURGES, AND HAS TROUBLE FINDING THE CORRECT GEAR WHILE ACCELERATING OR DECELERATING. WHEN PUT IN NEUTRAL WHILE SLOWING DOWN, THE VIBRATION IS NOT FELT AT ALL. TOOK THE TRUCK TO THE DEALERSHIP, EXPLAINED THE ISSUES. WAS TOLD NOTHING WAS MECHANICALLY WRONG. THEY ROTATED MY TIRES AND DID A FRONT END ALIGNMENT. THE TRUCK HAS JUST OVER 12K ON IT ! THIS IS A DISASTER IN THE MAKING.
VEHICLE STOPS AS EXPECTED WITH NORMAL BRAKING ACTION. WHILE SITTING STOPPED WITH ENGINE RUNNING APPLYING PRESSURE TO BRAKE PEDAL RESULTS IN BRAKE PEDAL GOING ALMOST TO THE FLOOR ~ SEEMS LIKE THE BRAKE PRESSURE IS "BLEEDING OFF" FROM THE SYSTEM. IN THIS SITUATION - BRAKE PEDAL ALMOST TO FLOOR - THE VEHICLE DOES NOT MOVE. TOOK VEHICLE TO DEALER AND THEY SAID THIS WAS "NORMAL" ~ NEVER HAD THIS SITUATION IN ANY OTHER VEHICLE I HAVE OWNED OR DRIVEN. IN ALL OTHER VEHICLES I HAVE DRIVEN WHEN THE BRAKE IS PRESSED, SOPPING THE VEHICLE, AND WITH CONSTANT PRESSURE ON THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE PEDAL DOES NOT SLOWLY GO DOWN TO ALMOST THE FLOOR.
Transmission shifts when it should not shift! It also jerks when accelerating and maintaining speeds. While in cruse control the truck drops in 20mph in speed really concerning when it would cause a bad wreck while it drops it constantly still jerks and it also floors the truck to get back up to the preselected speed and transmission jerks and studders and drops and speeds back up and so it sounds like it could blow up from it flooring and dropping in speed and flooring it in cruse control This needs fixed and worked out! Transmission shouldn’t be jerking or hunting for gears
LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP IN SIERRA VISTA, ARIZONA HAS STATED ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE PARTS AND ARE NOT ORDERING THEM.
THE SEATBELT IN THE DRIVER SEAT IS EXTREMELY HARD TO BUCKLE. I HAVE TO FORCE THE THE SEATBELT INTO THE BUCKLE SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE IT LATCHES. I FEEL LIKE IT'S A FAULTY LATCH AND NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.

NOISE WHEN IS ACCELERATED, RUNS SLOWLY WHEN IS TRYING TO BE ACCELERATE, RUNS SLOW OR CAN NOT DEVELOP VELOCITY
MY 2019 TACOMA 4X4 DBL CAB SR5 HAS 22000 MILES ON IT AND HAS A HISTORY OF THE BRAKES PULSING. THE DEALER HAS REPLACED BOTH FRONT AND REAR BRAKES AT 5K AND 11K MILES, AND NOW AGAIN AT 22K MILES. AT EACH SERVICE APPOINTMENT I COMPLAINED THAT THE BRAKES PULSE BADLY, AND THEY CONFIRM THAT THE ROTORS AND BACK DRUMS ARE WARPED. SO THEY REPLACE THE ROTORS & DRUMS, AND THE PROBLEM IS RELIEVED FOR A TIME, BUT THE PULSING COMES BACK WITHIN A FEW THOUSAND MILES. I KEEP TELLING THE SERVICE PEOPLE THAT THERE MUST BE A DIFFERENT PROBLEM CAUSING THE BRAKES TO WARP BUT THEY JUST SHRUG IT OFF.
UNPROMPTED ACCELERATION - WHILE DRIVING AT ABOUT 15 MPH IN MODERATE TRAFFIC, I ACCELERATED BRIEFLY AND THEN LET OFF THE GAS PEDAL. AFTER RELEASING THE GAS PEDAL, THE TRUCK CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE AND EVEN DOWNSHIFTED, CAUSING THE TRUCK TO LURCH FORWARD. CONDITIONS - I WAS IN LIGHT TO MODERATE TRAFFIC ON MY COMMUTE TO WORK. THE TRAFFIC WAS STOP-AND-GO. THE CARS AHEAD OF ME ACCELERATED, SO I DID AS WELL. THE CARS AHEAD OF ME QUICKLY DECELERATED, SO I LET OFF THE GAS BUT DID NOT NEED TO BRAKE AS I WAS A SAFE DISTANCE. THE TRUCK CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE WELL AFTER I LET OFF THE GAS AND IT LURCHED FORWARD AND DOWNSHIFTED IN THE PROCESS. THE ENGINE RPM WENT TO ABOUT 3,500. I WAS ABLE TO APPLY THE BRAKE, AND THE ACCELERATION STOPPED AND THE ENGINE WENT BACK TO IDLE. I HAVE EXPERIENCED DECELERATION LAG IN MANY VEHICLES, BUT IN THIS CASE, IT WAS A SURGE, NOT A LAG. IT WAS LONG ENOUGH FOR ME TO THINK OF SHIFTING TO NEUTRAL AND APPLYING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE.
MY VEHICLE (VIN# [XXX]) HAS NOT HAD SAFETY RECALL ADDRESSED BY MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP. THE RECALL WAS INITIATED ON 28 OCTOBER 2020. THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP HAS HAD MORE THAN A MONTH TO MAKE A PLAN TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND HAS RESPONDED TO MY REQUEST BY STATING THAT PARTS ARE NOT YET AVAILABLE AND FEEL I SHOULD CONTINUE TO OPERATE MY VEHICLE IN ITS CURRENT STATE. 2019 TOYOTA TACOMA STOPPED RUNNING ON THE MIDDLE OF ROAD. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS
WHEN APPLYING THE POWER BRAKES AT A STOP THE PEDAL AFTER A FEW SECONDS STARTS TO FADE TO THE FLOOR IF RELEASED AND REAPPLIED THEY COME BACK UP TO STOP POSITION AND WILL FADE AGAIN. WHEN BACKING UP AND BRAKES ARE APPLIED AND BACKING SLOWLY TO HOUSE GARAGE THE BRAKE STARTS TO FADE TO THE FLOOR AND HAS TO BE REAPPLIED TO STOP THE TRUCK. YESTERDAY IN A SHOPPING MALL I HAD TO GO AROUND A PARKED CAR WITH ANOTHER CAR HEADED IN MY DIRECTION HAD TO APPLY BRAKES AND SLOWLY MOVE PAST THE PARKED CAR THE PEDAL WENT SO FAR DOWN MY FOOT HIT THE ACCELERATOR AND HAD TO TAKE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL AND REAPPLY THE BRAKES. HAD TRUCK BACK TO TOYOTA DEALER TWICE AND THEY INSIST THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE TRUCK. IF YOU HAVE EVER DRIVEN AN OLDER CAR WHERE THE MASTER CYLINDER FAILS THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT IT FEELS LIKE, HAVING THAT EXPERIENCE ONCE IN MY DRIVING CAREER OF OVER 60 YEARS/ THE TRUCK TO ME IS NOT A SAFE VEHICLE TO DRIVE AND AM CONCERNED FOR MYSELF AND MY WIFES SAFETY.CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE 1-800 NUMBER AND WAS TOLD NOTHING THEY CAN DO IF SERVICE DEPT SAID NO PROBLEM WITH THE TRUCK, LOOKING FOR SOME SOLUTION I SEE OTHERS HAVE POSTED THE SAME PROBLEM ON YOUR WEB SITE. Engine lifters making abnormal noise.
Received notice of a recall on the low pressure fuel pump in November 2020; still have not been notified to bring my truck in for repairs. I don't feel safe driving more than 20 or 30 miles from home as I don't want to be stranded if the fuel pump fails.

TRUCK STALLED WHILE ON ON RAMP. I WAS MOVING AND JUST ABOUT TO MERGE ON HIGHWAY

Engine stalled unexpectedly
IPHONE WILL NOT STAY CONNECTED WITH MY BLUETOOTH RADIO MAKING IT ABLE TO HAVE HANDS FREE CALLING. I AM USING A IPHONE 11PRO MAX.
THE FUEL PUMP ON MY TACOMA FAILED. THE TRUCK HAS STALLED AT HIGH SPEED MULTIPLE TIMES. THE TRUCK HAS FAILED TO RESTART AFTER STALLING.
IN FEB 2019, I PURCHASED A NEW TOYOTA TACOMA FROM CAVENDER TOYOTA, LOCATED IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS. IN LESS THAN TWO (2) YEARS AND WITH ONLY 7,084 MILES, I RECEIVED RECALL NOTICES PERTAINING TO ITS RADAR SENSOR SYSTEM AND FUEL PUMP. THE FORMER ALERTS THE DRIVER WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE OR OBSTACLE IS TOO CLOSE; THE REMEDY WAS INSTALLED BY THE DEALER THIS YEAR. THE LATTER REMAINS AND IS STILL PENDING DEVELOPMENT/DELIVERY BY HEADQUARTERS (HQ) TOYOTA PROJECTED FOR LATE SEP 2020. IN THE INTERIM, THE RISK IS THE 2019 TOYOTA TACOMA CAN STALL WHILE DRIVING. ON 6 AUG 2020, MY VEHICLE STALLED WHILE EXITING MY DRIVE WAY. UPON TAKING IT TO THE DEALER, THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE AND MANAGER ADVISED NOTHING CAN BE DONE SINCE THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE. THEY SAID THE RISK IS THE TRUCK MAY STALL AGAIN AND TO CALL ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TO HAVE IT TOWED. THEY ALSO STATED THE FUEL PUMP RECALL PERTAINS TO THE TOYOTA TACOMA, COROLLA, SIENNA, AND HIGHLANDER. DUE TO SAFETY HAZARD POSED AND MY DISSATISFACTION WITH THE RESPONSES PROVIDED BY THE SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE AND MANAGER, THEY RECOMMENDED CONTACTING HQ TOYOTA TO RELAY MY VIEWS. ON 7 AUG, I DID SO. THE HQ CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE ADVOCATE PROVIDED THE SAME RESPONSE. SPECIFICALLY, NOTHING FURTHER CAN BE DONE TO REMEDY THE ISSUE SINCE THE PART IS BEING DEVELOPED. ON 17 AUG, MY VEHICLE COMPLETELY STALLED WHILE APPROACHING A RED LIGHT AT A MAJOR INTERSECTION. I IMMEDIATELY REACHED OUT TO ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE AND WAITED FOR TWO HOURS IN EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS LOADED AND TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE VEHICLE NOW RESIDES AT THE CAVENDER TOYOTA DEALER'S PARKING LOT WHERE IT SITS WITH OTHER VEHICLES HAVING THE SAME ISSUE, UNTIL THE PART IS PRODUCED/SHIPPED AND CAN BE FIXED. ON 18 AUG 2020, I PROVIDED AN UPDATE TO HQ TOYOTA ON MY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND SAFETY CONCERNS. THEY REITERATED NOTHING FURTHER CAN BE DONE AT THIS TIME.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE STREET THAT LEADS TO MY HOUSE WHEN MY TRUCK COMPLETELY SHUT OFF.I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT IT'S SAFE FOR ME AND MY FAMILY OR THE PUBLIC FOR THAT VEHICLE TO BE OUT ON THE ROAD.
WHEN DRIVING MY 2019 TOYOTA TACOMA (APPROX. 6900 MILES) I NOTICED THE BRAKES WERE NOT FIRM AFTER INITIAL APPLICATION. THE PEDAL THEN WOULD SLOWLY SINK TO THE FLOOR AND BRAKING POWER WAS DRASTICALLY REDUCED THAT TIME. I PUMPED THE BRAKE AND ACHIEVED BETTER BRAKING RESULT BUT WHEN CONSTANT PRESSURE WAS APPLIED THE BRAKING RESULT DIMINISHED VERY QUICKLY. THIS CONTINUED DURING ALL DRIVING CONDITIONS. TO ME IT VERY CLOSELY RESEMBLED A MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER SEAL FAILURE, WHICH I HAVE EXPERIENCED WITH VEHICLES IN THE PAST. I CHECKED THE BRAKE FLUID LEVEL AND OPERATED THE BRAKES IN A STATIONARY POSITION AND THE SAME SYMPTOMS OCCURRED. THE BRAKE FLUID IN THE RESERVOIR WAS AT THE CORRECT LEVEL AND DID NOT VARY. I WAS ABLE TO RETURN THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. UPON INSPECTION OF THE VEHICLE I WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE TECHNICIAN BELIEVED THE BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER WAS FAULTY. THE DEALER HAS ORDERED THE REPLACEMENT PART AND PROVIDED A RENTAL VEHICLE AT NO CHARGE. I WAS INFORMED EVERYTHING WOULD BE A WARRANTY COVERED REPAIR.
In October of 2020 they replaced the fuel pump then noticed a hose was bad it would take 2 months to get that hose.. Upon driving my vehicle I noticed an 4mpg lost. was getting 22 mpg prior to the change. I have been in contact w/toyota in Texas and they send a 'factory rep' to look at my truck. here is the problem he snapped a picture stating my truck got 28.6 mpg, upon getting into my truck it read 20.6 mpg. they refuse to replace the fuel pump and hose at another dealership. The secretary at toyota said if they would change and it didn't make a difference they would be wasteful. I said replace it and we will see however you say you not going with the customer the paid good hard earns money for this vehicle we will never know. all I want: is the have a new fuel pump and hose put into my Tacoma, it may not or it will prove there was a problem. I am see I am no alone with this reduction of mpg's with high gas prices.....

THE CONTACT THEN RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V382000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE SAME DEALER WAS CONTACTED BY PHONE AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT PARTS WERE NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 6,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
APPLE IPHONE XR WILL NOT STAY CONNECTED VIS BLUETOOTH. UNABLE TO USE HANDS FREE. I HAVE TO USE MY PHONE AND VEHICLE FOR WORK. TOYOTA CARE REP SAYS ' WE'LL LET YOU KNOW WHEN WE FIND A FIX'
TRUCK IS CURRENTLY SITTING IN TOYOTA SERVICE LOT FOR NEXT 2 MONTHS DUE TO FUEL PUMP RECALL. TRUCK IS UNSAFE TO OPERATE AND WILL DIE ANYWHERE RANDOMLY THEY HAVE NO FIX UNTIL END OF SEPTEMBER 2020 WHEN PARTS COME IN. WISH THEY WOULD BUY IT BACK, SO THAT I CAN GO BUY A DEPENDABLE TRUCK INSTEAD OF SENDING LOAN PAYMENTS TO A TRUCK THAT'S NOT IN MY POSSESSION FOR OVER 2 MONTHS
THE FUEL PUMP WAS RUNNING WHEN THE TRUCK WAS STATIONARY AND NOT STARTED. THE KEY WAS NOT IN THE IGNITION.
VEHICLE TENDS TO STALL AFTER TAKE OFF (4 CYLINDER) I'VE TAKEN THE TRUCK TO THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP SERVICE (NO OPEN RECALL) AND SERVICE TECH/MECHANIC STATED THAT'S HOW THE 4 CYLINDER IS SUPPOSE TO DRIVE. (NOT TRUE) I'VE EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM DURING TAKE OFF AT STOP LIGHTS, INABILITY TO ACCELERATE WHILE GOING UP SLIGHT HILLS (EVEN AFTER BEING AT 50 MPH OR OVER) THE TRUCK STILL WON'T ACCELERATE (LIKE IT'S STUCK IN A GEAR) HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH GAS LEVEL (FULL, HALF, QUARTER) MY TRUCK ONLY HAS 3,300 MILES ON IT AND I BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW ALMOST A YEAR AGO.
IN MARCH RECEIVED THE NHTSA RECALL NO. 20V-012 NOTICE FROM TOYOTA FOR MY 2019 TACOMA. ON JANUARY 13, 2020, TOYOTA SUBMITTED A SAFETY RECALL REPORT (THE 'RECALL REPORT') TO NHTSA VOLUNTARILY RECALLING NEARLY 700,000 TOYOTA AND LEXUS VEHICLES MANUFACTURED BETWEEN AUGUST 1, 2018 THROUGH JANUARY 31, 2019 WITH DEFECTIVE LOW PRESSURE DENSO FUEL PUMPS. I CONTACTED TOYOTA AND THEY SAID THE "REMEDY" WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2020. THIS MEANS MY TRUCK COULD FAIL FOR A FULL SIX MONTHS BETWEEN THE TIME OF THE NOTIFICATION AND THE "REMEDY" AND A FULL 9 MONTHS FROM THE FILING DATE. MEANWHILE THE VEHICLE COULD FAIL. THE DENSO LOW-PRESSURE FUEL PUMP IS ALSO LISTED IN A SIMILAR RECALL FOR SUBARU. WHY ARE THESE COMPANIES GIVEN SO MUCH TIME TO REMEDY A KNOWN MAJOR SAFETY PROBLEM WHILE THESE VEHICLES ARE STILL ON THE ROAD?
