Vehicle stalls when accelerating or traveling at high rates of speed and it will lose power. It bumps and jolts to life. My RPM shoots up and and down. It lags to accelerate when the gas pedal is pressed to accelerate it suddenly jolts. Battery, Epc light, as well as engine light come on immediately.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2012 VOLKSWAGEN CC SPORT. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, SHE SAW SMOKE EMERGING FROM THE VENTS. UPON EXITING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD POP NOISE AND FIRE BEGAN TO ENGULF FROM THE DASHBOARD. THERE WAS NO CRASH OR INJURIES DUE TO THE FIRE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CONTACTED AND WAS ABLE TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A IMPOUND LOT. THE CONTACT HAS NOT NOTIFIED LOCAL DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.

THE CONTACT ALSO INDICATED THAT GRAY COLORED EXHAUST FUMES WERE PRESENT COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC, BUT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE LOCAL DEALER AND MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 120,000.
HOOD LATCH PREVENTS HOOD FROM OPENING. VW KNOWS THIS PROBLEM IS A MANUFACTURING DEFECT AND THEY REFUSE TO REPAIR IT WITHOUT A CHARGE OF $250 INCLUDING THE PART. THE COOLING SYSTEM HAS A ERROR LIGHT GLOWING WHEN THERE IS NO PROBLEM. THE WARNING SYSTEM SHOWS VARIOUS PARTS AS MALFUNCTRONING BUT APPEARS THE DIAGNOSTIC MODULE IS AT FAULT.
MY LEFT TIRE BLEW OUT AND I HAD NO FLAT TIRE INDICATOR ON MY DASHBOARD WHILE TRAVELLING FULL SPEED ON THE FREEWAY. THE NEXT DAY MY ENGINE STALLED WITH NO WARNING OF LOW/NO OIL IN MY CAR. BOTH OF THE ISSUES COULD HAVE CAUSED A FATALITY OR MULTIPLE FATALITIES WHEN A 2012 VW CC LUXURY JUST STOPS WITH NO WARNING. I HAVE CALLED VW CORPORATE AND OF COURSE THEY STATED THEY CANNOT HELP ME SINCE THIS REPAIR IS NOT A RECALL ITEM: HOWEVER, I SEE TONS OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING THE 2.0 ENGINE IN MY CAR MANUFACTURED BY VW. THIS MATTER NEEDS TO BE RESOLVED IMMEDIATELY AND NOT IGNORED. VW NEEDS TO COVER MY ENGINE COST AT 100% THEY KNOW IT IS FAULTY AND TO COMPLETELY IGNORE ALL THE COMPLAINTS BEFORE MINE IS ASININE.
NHTSA RECALL NUMBER17V509: I HAD MY EPC DASH LIGHT FOR MY VEHICLE TURNED ON WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY TO MY JOB ON 6/14/18 . THE DRIVE WAS REALLY ROUGH AND BUMPY AND THE EXHAUST WAS FUMING WITH EMISSIONS FROM THE BACK.I EVENTUALLY GOT TO MY JOB, OFFED MY CAR AND HAD TO GET MY CAR TOWED TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC ON 6/18/18 WHERE HE FOUND THAT THE FUEL PUMP MODULE WAS FAULTY. HE CHARGED ME $323.30 OUT THE DOOR FOR THE FUEL PUMP MODULE AND LABOR. I CONTACTED VW TO SEEK FOR REIMBURSEMENT ON 6/22/18 BUT WAS TOLD THERE IS A "PENDING RECALL" AND THAT IT HAS NOT BECOME ACTIVE YET SO THEY CANNOT ISSUE ME A REIMBURSEMENT UNTIL THEN. AS PER NHTSA THIS RECALL WAS KNOWN SINCE 8/16/17 AND IT HAS NOW BEEN NEARING A YEAR WITHOUT ANY RESOLUTION. I AM SEEKING TO GET MY AMOUNT REIMBURSED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AND HOPING THAT NHTSA WILL BE ABLE TO ASSIST IN THIS.
THE TRUNK STOPPED WORKING ALONG WITH THE FOG LIGHTS AND REVERSE LIGHTS ON THE TRUNK. IT APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN HAPPENING MANY CC AND IS A MANUFACTURING DESIGN IS FAULTY. HOPING THAT OTHER ARE REPORTING THE FLAW TOO.
OVER THE LAST SEVERAL WEEKS (3-4) I'VE OBSERVED THE CC STRAINING (AS IF THE BATTERY DOESN'T HAVE THE AMPS) TO START THE VEHICLE. THIS PAST WEEKEND THE CAR WOULDN'T START AND I CAN'T CHARGE THE BATTERY ENOUGH TO PRODUCE THE CRANKING AMPS TO TURN IT OVER. THE LOCAL VW DEALERSHIP STATES THAT THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED INSTRUCTIONS AS TO HOW TO DIAGNOSE OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE AT THIS TIME. WE HAVE LESS THAN 45000 MILE ON THE CC - THIS SHOULDN'T BE AN ISSUE FOR THIS VEHICLE. ANY ASSISTANCE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
MY CAR HAS LEFT ME STRANDED TWICE. IT ALL STARTED WHEN MY FUEL PUMP STARTED TO LEAK GAS ALL OVER MY CAR. ONCE I GOT THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED. MY VEHICLE RAN FINE ON MY WAY TO THE STORE BUT WHEN I CAME BACK TO MY CAR IT TURNED OVER AND LET ME PULL OUT OF MY PARKING SPOT BUT THEN DIED WHEN I WENT TO PUT IT IN DRIVE IN THE PARKING LOT. I ATTEMPTED TO JUMP MY CAR BUT IT DID NOT WORK. I REPLACED THE BATTERY ON 10/9/17 AND IT APPEARED TO SOLVE THE ISSUE. ON 10/29/17 I DROVE MY CAR UP NORTH TO PAYSON. IT RAN COMPLETELY FINE UNTIL I SHUT IT OFF TO GO TO THE CREEK. WHEN I CAME BACK TO MY CAR IT WOULD NOT TURN OVER AGAIN. I BOUGHT A BATTERY AND REPLACED IT YET AGAIN. THIS TIME THE BATTERY DID NOT HELP GET THE CAR TO TURN OVER THE ONLY THING THAT SHOWED UP WAS AN EPC LIGHT. I LEFT THE CAR OVER NIGHT AND CAME BACK TO IT THE NEXT DAY IT STARTED UP JUST FINE WITH NO EPC LIGHT. I TOOK IT TO A REPAIR SHOP AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSIS ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. I PICKED MY CAR UP ON OCT 30TH. IT RAN FINE WITH NO HESITATION UP UNTIL THE MORNING OF 11/10/17. WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY MY CAR LOST POWER AND WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I WAS ABLE TO PULL IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. MY EPC LIGHT, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, AND BATTERY LIGHT ALL CAME ON. THE CAR WOULD NOT TURN OVER AGAIN. I REACHED OUT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT CUSTOMER CARE THROUGH VOLKSWAGEN. WHEN I REACHED OUT TO CUSTOMER CARE ALL THEY TOLD ME WAS TO GO BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THAT THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING FOR ME BECAUSE THE RECALL IS NOT COMPLETE. THEY HAVE NO OFFER OF A LOANER CAR OR ANYTHING WHILE I WAIT FOR THEM TO FIX THE ISSUE. SO I'M LEFT WITH A CAR THAT RANDOMLY SHUTS DOWN AND LOSES POWER FROM TIME TO TIME. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.
TAKATA RECALL: VOLKSWAGEN CLAIMS TO HAVE FIXED THE CLOCK SPRING AND AIR BAG IN CAR HOWEVER THE AIR BAG LIGHT IS ON AND THE CLOCK SPRING IS BROKEN. I CANNOT USE THE HORN OR ANY BUTTONS ON THE STEERING WHEEL. THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY WITHOUT THE CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL.

THE VEHICLE WAS PULLED OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED, THE CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS COASTED TO A SERVICE STATION AND TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC (JOSHO AUTO, 10945 RANDOLPH, COSTA MESA, CA 92626, 714-557-2601) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS KEPT FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. ALSO, APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR AGO, THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE WAS CRASHED INTO BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. NONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A BODY SHOP (PACIFIC ELITE AUTO BODY SHOP IN COSTA MESA CA) AND REPAIRED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT RECENTLY SEARCHED THE VIN AND FOUND NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V078000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 62,000. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
TAKATA RECALL. ON A DAILY BASIS MY CAR LOSES ALL ELECTRICAL POWER AND SHUTS COMPLETELY OFF WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET, HIGHWAY AND HAS EVEN HAPPENED WHILE TURNING. IT'S A TREMENDOUS SAFETY CONCERN, AS I HAVE TO STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TRY RESTARTING. THIS HAS CAUSED SEVERAL CAR PILE UPS BEHIND ME. VW STATED THEY ARE UNABLE TO PAY TO HAVE THIS RECALL FIXED AND STATED THAT I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP AND FUEL MODULE. I AM NOT ABLE TO COVER THESE EXPENSES. THIS SHOULD BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF VW CORPORATE TO COVER AND FIX THIS RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE MODULE ON THE VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE FUNCTIONED PROPERLY; HOWEVER, SHORTLY AFTER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A CERTIFIED MECHANIC AT PEPBOYS WHO TIGHTENED THE MODULE, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO FUNCTION PROPERLY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST POWER AND STALLED. THE CONTACT HAD TO PUSH THE VEHICLE TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. AFTER OBSERVING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT REALIZED THAT THE VEHICLE OVERHEATED. THE CONTACT COOLED THE VEHICLE WITH COKE BEFORE BEING ABLE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE REPAIR PARTS WOULD BEGIN TO BE ISSUED IN OCTOBER OF 2017. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.

ON CERTAIN VEHICLES, THERE COULD BE AN INTERRUPTION IN ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE. THIS COULD RESULT IN THE FUEL PUMP RUNNING CONTINUOUSLY, RESULTING IN A DRAINED BATTERY AND/OR A NO START CONDITION, OR CAUSE A LOSS OF MOTIVE POWER WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION, WHICH COULD INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH CAUSING INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY.
"TAKATA RECALL" WILL THE PROBLEM BE FIXED, I DO NOT WANT TO PURCHASE ANOTHER CAR AT THIS TIME, BUT IT LOOKS AS IF I WILL BE FORCED TO DO SO. I ALSO HAVE SOME ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH THE CAR THE AIR PRESSURE IN THE TIRES AND THE LIGHTS KEEP GOING OUT TO REPLACE THEM EVERY 4 TO 6 MONTHS IS CRAZY.. THE DEALERSHIP HERE WANTS TO PUT ME IN A NEW CAR AND AS HE SAID EAT THE COST TO REPLACE, WHY DON'T THEY JUST PAY OFF THE CAR AND I CAN CUT MY LOSSES AND START OVER WITH A CAR OF MY CHOICE, I'M BEING FORCED BACK INTO A VW CAR?

MOST RECENTLY, THE ELECTRONIC POWER CONTROL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AS THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP AND BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
IHAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE TRUNK WIRING HARNESS TWICE. IT RUBS ON THE OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE TRUNK AND FAILS. THE DESIGN SHOULD BE FIXED.
