Drove the car to the bank when trying to leave the car would not start. We towed the car to the volkswagen dealership `and they said it the engine and some other faults totaling over $21000.00 Now the car is back home and not repaired.
AT 33882 MILES, THE REAR MAIN SEAL IS LEAKING AND THE PCV VALVE WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. REPAIR WAS IDENTIFIED DURING ROUTINE MAINTENANCE APPOINTMENT AT THE DEALER.
TIMING CHAIN/BELT BROKE AT 82,000 MILES WHILE ON TRIP TO INDIANA FROM TX. TOLD ENGINE WAS DESTROYED, WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THERE WAS SQUEAKING SOUND, I WENT TO NEAREST MECHANIC SHOP. THEY CHECKED IT, SAID IT WAS NOT BELT, BUT IN ENGINE, IT BROKE, THEN HAD TO BE TOWED TO VW DEALERSHIP IN MEMPHIS, TN. THERE THEY TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE ENGINE.
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON DUE TO FAIL TURBO UNDERCHARGE VALVE, THE VALVE HAS A RUBBER SEALS THAT IS KNOW LEAK OR BREAK. THE MANUFACTORY HAS REDESIGN THE VALVE. THE AUTOMOBILE WILL STALL OR NOT GAIN ENOUGH ENGINE POWER.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 VOLKSWAGEN EOS. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO TURN ON THE ENGINE, THE KEY FAILED TO START THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO THE LOCAL MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN FRACTURED AND THAT THERE WAS NO COMPRESSION. THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN, VALVES, AND ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 61,000.
I FIRST NOTICE THIS PROBLEM WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY AT A SPEED OF 65MPH. THE ENGINE WOULD STALL OUT FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS AND THEN WORK JUST FINE. THE EPC AND SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON AND OFF DURING THESE STALL OUT PERIODS. THIS WOULD HAPPEN OFF AND ON FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL MONTHS. SOMETIMES WHEN I STARTED THE CAR THE LIGHTS WOULD COME ON AND SOMETIMES THEY WOULD NOT. FINALLY IN NOVEMBER 2013 THE LIGHTS STAYED ON ALL THE TIME. I TOOK IT TO BE SERVICED AND THEY SAID IT WAS THE EMISSION SENSOR. I HAD THE PART 06H127025N PUT ON THE CAR AND MY TROUBLES STOPPED. HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEM SINCE. IT COST ME $453.55 TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. I APPLIED FOR THE RECALL BUT THEY STATED IT WAS NOT THAT PART THAT WAS DEFECTIVE. WELL THAT PART WAS DEFECTED BECAUSE I HAD TO HAVE IT REPLACED. *TR
AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE MY BATTERY LIGHT AND EPC LIGHT CAME ON AND STATED TO SERVICE ENGINE NOW. THE CAR STARTED TO BECOME JUMPY AND I IMMEDIATELY TOOK IT TO THE CLOSEST DEALER. AFTER RUNNING A DIAGNOSTIC, THEY STATED MY FUEL INJECTOR HAS A LEAK AND IS LEAKING INTO THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. I HAVE GOOGLED THIS ISSUE AND HAVE FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL BUT ONLY FOR DIESEL ENGINES FOR VW WHICH MY CAR IS NOT. APPARENTLY THIS ISSUE CAN CAUSE THE CAR TO CATCH FIRE. *TR
