Vehicle has dangerous and life threatening transmission problem that has cause me to lose control of my vehicle. Problem with jerking and cutting off started approximately in 2022 with 2 visits to shop for repair. In May 2023 until 2024, vehicle has been in repair shop for repairing including replacing transmission with a rebuilt transmission. Repair shop said vehicle is still u nsafe and may need to replace tranmission computer . Repairs has already caused me almost $20,000.
CADILLAC SRX STOPPED AT RED LIGHT AND HEARD CAR REVIVING UP. KEPT FOOT ON BRAKE BUT I AM VERY CONCERNED. WE WERE ON A CITY STREET.
WHEN I'M PARKING I GET MESSAGE TELLING ME IT IS NOT IN PARK, ALTHOUGH I PUT IT IN PARK. I HAVE TO DO IT TWO OR THREE TIMES FOR IT TO GET RIGHT. I PUT IT IN PARK AND IT TELLS ME ITS NOT IN PARK.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 CADILLAC SRX. WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE FAILED AND WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 28,000.
