Open the full vehicle complaint log (all categories)Today is Saturday, November 11, 2023. While driving my check, engine light came on, and I was given a message on the dash that engine power was reduced. I was only able to drive the car 30 to 45 miles an hour to get home. I have not taken the car to the mechanic yet, but will do so when they open on Monday. I was in a heavily congested area with many cars passing me at great speeds. I connected a code reader to my automobile, and came up with the code P2138. After doing research, it is my understanding that General Motors knows of this problem and has not addressed it at this time. For that reason, I feel I should be reimbursed for mechanic parts and services to repair this problem.
The floor mat does not stay in place and can get jammed behind the break peddle preventing breaking.
BACK IN FEBRUARY OF 2020 I WAS DRIVING THE CAR AND IT STARTED JERKING AROUND REALLY BAD WHEN I WOULD EITHER UPSHIFT OR DOWNSHIFT IN 1-2 GEAR. TOOK IT TO CADILLAC AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING. WE TOOK IT TO A COUPLE OF OTHER MECHANICS AND A LOT OF MONEY LATER NO ONE COULD FIND ANYTHING. ONE DAY DRIVING HOME FROM WORK THE CAR STARTED JERKING SO BAD THAT I ALMOST CRASHED. COME TO FIND OUT THE TRANSMISSION DIED. WE REPLACED THE TRANSMISSION AND A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER HAVING PROBLEMS AGAIN. WHEN I DRIVE AND GET TO ABOUT 40 MILES PER HOUR THE ENTIRE CAR SHAFTS TO SHAKE AND JERK AROUND AND THIS HAPPENED WHEN I HAD MY KIDS IN THE CAR. GM IS DOING NOTHING TO HELP US. AT THIS POINT WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO AND AND CAN'T AFFORD TO KEEP RANDOMLY REPLACING PARTS ON A CAR THAT IS JUST NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AT THIS POINT. I AM TRULY AFRAID FOR MY FAMILY'S SAFETY.
