The contact owns a 2007 Chevrolet Aveo. The contact was made aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 06V398000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact stated that after the vehicle was involved in an accident, the vehicle lost motive power and failed to restart on various occasions. No warning lights were illuminated, and the vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was then towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the contact stated that the failure had reoccurred, and the vehicle failed to restart. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED A RECALL LETTER #06V398000 WAS RECEIVED REGARDING THE FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR THE REMEDY REPAIR HOWEVER THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WILL ALERT THE CONTACT WHEN THE PARTS ARE AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN CONTACTED.
