I HAD MY CRUISE SET ON 55 MPH AND WAS HIT HEAD ON BY VW JETTA PULLING OUT TOWARD MY VEHICLE, THEN FORCED TO LEFT INTO A TELEPHONE POLE. AIRBAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY, AND RECEIVED BROKEN STERNUM. DON'T KNOW IF SEATBELT INJURED ME, OR IF THE SEATBELT DIDN'T LOCK ON 2ND IMPACT AND POSSIBLY HIT THE STEERING WHEEL.

SPONTANEOUS SHATTER OF REAR LIFTGATE WINDOW, WHILE DRIVING STRAIGHT ON A SMOOTH FREEWAY. I HEARD A SUDDEN POP AND SHATTER, AND SUDDEN GUSH OF COLD AIR. THE ENTIRE WINDOW DISAPPEARED WITH SHARDS EVERYWHERE IN MY CAR. THE DRIVER BEHIND ME, LUCKILY SWERVED AND ONLY HAD MINOR DAMAGE. *TR

MY LOW BEAN HEAD LIGHTS STOPPED WORKING. 2006/2007 TRAILBLAZERS HAD A RECALL FOR THE HEAD LIGHT MODULE. THE DEALERSHIP CHARGED ME FOR THE REPAIR. HOWEVER, I'M TOLD MY CAR DOESN'T QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL. ITS THE SAME MAKE MODEL AND YEAR.

HEADLAMPS HAVE GONE OFF AND/OR TURNED BACK ON WHILE DRIVING OR STARTING UP. HIGH BEAMS WORK. THIS PROBLEM WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN REPAIRED IN THE LAST RECALL. RIGHT REAR BRAKE LIGHT NOT FUNCTIONING. FOUND MELTED SOCKET ON REAR LIGHT CIRCUIT BOARD IS CAUSING CONTACT ISSUES WITH LIGHT BULB. OTHER BULB SOCKETS ON THIS CIRCUIT BOARD SHOW NO SIGN OF MELTING
JUST BOUGHT TRAILBLAZER 3 WEEKS AGO. MAKING REPAIRS BEFORE PUTTING ON ROAD. NEW TIRES ,BRAKES,TRANS. LINES,BODY WORK-RUST BOTH REAR SIDE DOORS,SPARE TIRE WINCH,ECT.WHEN I ROAD TESTED WITH DEALER PLATE TWO DAYS IN A ROW FOUND OUT MY LOW BEA M OR DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS WOULD NOT WORK AT TIMES. REAL PROBLEM AT NIGHT. I UNDERSTAND THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM. MY LOCAL DEALER DOES NOT SHOW RECALL FOR MY VIN. #. THIS TRAILBLAZER NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED. DRIVING IN DARK BACK ROADS AT NIGHT VERY DANGOROUS. ONCOMING TRAFIC DONT LIKE MY HI BEAMS . SPOKE WITH PAST OWNER ,HE SAID THIS HAPPENED TO HIM 3 OR4 TIMES AT NIGHT TO HIM. MY DEALER WANTS ME TO PAY FOR PARTS AND LABOR. HE IS SURE IT IS HEADLIGHT DRIVER MODULE LIKE RECALLED VEHICLES. LET ME KNOW IF IN NEED TO SCREAM AT CHEVY. THANK YOU FOR HELP.

THE HEADLIGHTS ILLUMINATED AFTER RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. ALSO, THE INTERIOR LIGHTS FLICKERED OCCASIONALLY. THE DEALER FAILED TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THE HEADLIGHTS WILL GO OUT WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THERE IS CURRENTLY A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM FOR TRAILBLAZERS. IT IS GM SAFETY RECALL 14291. THE PROBLEM IS THE HEADLAMP DRIVER MODULE. I CONTACTED GM. AFTER GIVING THEM MY VIN NUMBER, THEY TOLD ME THAT MY VEHICLE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE PROBLEMS I WAS HAVING MATCHED EXACTLY WHAT THIS RECALL IS FIXING. I BELIEVE MY VEHICLE SHOULD BE INCLUDED.
WHEN DRIVING WITH HEADLAMPS ON LOW BEAM, INTERMITTENTLY BOTH HEADLAMPS WILL GO OUT. THIS HAPPEN TO ME WHILE DRIVING DOWN A STEEP, CURVY, HIGHWAY ON A RAINY NIGHT. I WAS FACING AN ONCOMING BIG TRUCK, IN A SHARP CURVE. DIMMED MY LIGHTS AND EVERYTHING WENT TOTALLY BLACK ON MY VEHICLE. ALL I HEAR IS THE HORN OF A BIG TRUCK AS THE DRIVER IS TRYING TO AVOID MY VEHICLE. I CALLED MY DEALERSHIP AND TOOK MY VEHICLE IN ONLY TO BE TOLD THAT THIS MAKE AND MODEL IS NOT ON RECALL, YET. SO I AM OUT OF POCKET FOR THE REPAIR, WHILE OTHER GM VEHICLES ARE ON RECALL FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM. CALLED GM, WAS BASICALLY TOLD, NO RECALL, YOUR PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN A GM CUSTOMER FOR 30 YEARS, NOT ANYMORE.
I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW IN 2007. THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN MODIFIED, OR THE COMPUTER PCM HAS NEVER BEEN REFLASHED. RECENTLY I TRIED TO GET MY VEHICLE INSPECTED IN NEW YORK STATE AND FOUND THAT BECAUSE THE OBD SYSTEM WAS UPDATED WITH A NEW SOFTWARE ON THE INSPECTION SYSTEM IN NEW YORK STATE, MY VEHICLE IS UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE INSPECTION COMPUTER. NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES HAS NO RESOLUTION ALTHOUGH THE INSPECTIONS ARE DONE FOR THEM. OPUS THE STATE COMPUTER MONITOR, STATES THAT THEY HAVE HAD NO ISSUES WITH THE INSPECTION SYSTEM. HOWEVER DURING MY QUEST TO FIND A SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT SOME OF THE VEHICLES HAVE A PROBLEM CONNECTING TO THE NEW SOFTWARE UPDATED JUST A YEAR AGO. I BELIEVE THAT IF CONSUMERS WAIT LONG PERIODS OF TIME WITHOUT PROPER INSPECTIONS IN NYS THESE VEHICLES WILL BE DRIVEN WITHOUT THE PROPER INSPECTION. I HAVE FURTHER BEEN TOLD BY A CHEVROLET DEALER THAT THESE VEHICLES ARE NOW STARTING TO SURFACE AS A RESULT OF THE YEARLY INSPECTION IN NYS. MANY MORE A SURE TO COME OUT IN THE FOLLOWING MONTHS.
LOW BEAM LIGHTS WOULD NOT WORK. MY VIN IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CURRENT RECALL FOR THE SAME ISSUE. REPAIR SHOP REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE RELAY. PART COST=$200.35.
DRIVING AS NORMAL, WHEN STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT, ROUGH IDLE TO COMPLETLY SHUTTING OFF AND THROWING ENINE CODES. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES AND FOUND OUT TODAY THAT THE FUSE BLOCK IS TRASHED.
THERE IS AN EXISTING RECALL BUT MY VEHICLE IS NOT COVERED ACCORDING TO GM. THE RECALL IS: HEADLAMPS THAT DO NOT ILLUMINATE REDUCE THE DRIVER'S ABILITY TO SEE THE ROADWAY AND REDUCE THE VEHICLE'S VISIBILITY TO ONCOMING VEHICLES, BOTH OF WHICH INCREASE THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH. RECALL NUMBER: 15V519000 MY CAR EXPERIENCED THIS SAME EXACT PROBLEM AND I HAD TO GET IT FIXED AT A CHEVY DEALER BUT NOW GM IS REFUSING TO REIMBURSE ME OR CONSIDER THIS PART OF THE RECALL BECAUSE OF WHERE THE CAR WAS BUILT.

VEHICLE WAS PARKED FOR A FEW HOURS WHEN WENT TO START UP TO LEAVE BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS/DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS SUDDENLY WENT OUT AND HAVE NOT COME BACK ON. FUSES ARE GOOD AND BRIGHT LIGHTS WORK ALSO LOW BEAM BULBS ARE GOOD.
PROBLEM WITH FATALITY RISK. IN AUG 2016 LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS AND RUNNING LAMP BEGAN TURNING OFF RANDOMLY, INTERMITTENTLY. WILL USUALLY WORK WHEN VEHICLE IS FIRST STARTED, FAIL IN TRANSIT. INCREASES IN FREQUENCY, PROGRESSES TO FAILURE. ON LIT STREETS,I HAVE NO INDICATION THAT I AM ESSENTIALLY INVISIBLE. RELAY REPLACED BY DEALER, PAID FOR 10/1/16. MILEAGE 137K AT THAT TIME. BEGAN FAILING AGAIN 7/2017. DRM MODULE HAD FAILED. PART ALONE COST $267. PRIOR TO DEALER REPAIR, I HAD TRIED AUTO PARTS STORE MODULES AS WELL, AND EACH 2 BURNED OUT WITHIN 1-2 MONTHS. GM HAS ISSUED A RECALL FOR THIS VERY PROBLEM, I THINK NUMBER 14921, ESTABLISHED MAY 2016. IT INCLUDES 2006-2007 TRAILBLAZERS. THEY EXTENDED IT TO 12 YEARS OLD OR 150K MILES, WHICHEVER FIRST. I CONTACTED GM. THEY ME THAT MY VIN DOES NOT COME UP SO THEY WILL NOT COVER THIS. WILL NOT TELL ME WHAT DISQUALIFIES MY VEHICLE, OTHER THAN VIN NOT COMING UP. DID ONLINE CHAT WITH THE REP AND S/HE SAID THAT I HAVE TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH YOU, NO INTERNAL COMPLAINT DEPARTMENT, NOBODY I CAN APPEAL TO WITHIN GM FOR HELP. I HAVE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT TO FIX THIS, BUT NO ASSURANCE THAT IT WON'T JUST KEEP FAILING, SINCE THIS IS THE 4TH TIME I HAVE DONE A REPAIR IN 2 YEARS, I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE 3 YEARS AGO, SO THIS MAY HAVE BEEN A RECURRING PROBLEM PRIOR TO MY OWNING IT. I DO NOT HAVE A COPY OF THE REPAIR BILLS FROM LAST YEAR, BUT MY APPOINTMENT FOR NEXT REPAIR IS THIS COMING TUESDAY, 9/5/2017.

RECALL NUMBER 14V755000 RECALL DATE 11/26/2014 COMPONENT EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS SUMMARY GENERAL MOTORS LLC (GM) IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2006-2009 BUICK LACROSSE, 2006-2007 BUICK RAINIER, CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER, GMC ENVOY, 2006 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER EXT, GMC ENVOY XL, 2006-2008 ISUZU ASCENDER, AND SAAB 9-7X VEHICLES. IN THE AFFECTED VEHICLES THE HEADLAMP DRIVER MODULE (HDM) MAY OVERHEAT AND FAIL, CAUSING THE HEADLAMPS AND DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS TO THEN FAIL AND NOT ILLUMINATE. 2007 TRAILBLAZER IS BEING RECALLED FOR LIGHTING ISSUES. WAS DRIVING AT NIGHT AND ANOTHER VECHILE BESIDE ME TOLD ME I HAD NO LIGHTS.THE LOW BEAMS AREN'T WORKING,THE HIGH BEAMS ARE FINE.I WAS IN MOTION AT THE TIME.BUT STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT.I WAS ON A CITY STREET,GOING STRAIGHT.
FRONT LIGHTS GO OFF WHILE DRIVING
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHT FAILURE. WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS RANDOMLY FAIL. THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. WHEN THEY FAIL, I CAN'T SEE IN FRONT, AND ON SURFACE ROADS, ONCOMING TRAFFIC CAN'T SEE ME. THE VEHICLE WAS RECALLED FOR THIS VERY REASON, AND MY VEHICLE IS IN THAT GROUP, BUT WHEN THE VIN NUMBER WAS CHECKED MY VEHICLE WASN'T ON THAT LIST. I DON'T HAVE THE RECALL NUMBER, BUT I FOUND OUT ONLINE MY VEHICLE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THAT RECALL.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE LOE BEAM LIGHTS FLICKERED ON AND OFF AND SHUT OFF FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS. THE DRIVER DOOR WINDOW SWITCH CONTINUALLY MALFUNCTIONS WHILE DRIVING AND STATIONARY WINDOWS WON'T ROLL UP OR DOWN AND THE FUEL LEVEL GAUGE WORKS SOMETIMES AND OTHER TIMES IT WON'T
BAD BLOWER MOTOR RESISTOR. THE A/C COMPLETELY SHUTS OFF WHEN SWITCHED TO POSITION "5" ON FAN SPEED. I JUST REPLACED THIS PART ABOUT A MONTH AGO. IT HAS BEEN WORKING FINE SINCE I REPLACED IT. THE SAME THING IS HAPPENING AGAIN NOW. THE FAN SHUTS COMPLETELY OFF WHEN IN POSITION "5". THIS NEEDS TO BE RECALLED. THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE DESIGN OF THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. I AM WORRIED THAT THIS WILL EVENTUALLY CAUSE A FIRE FROM MALFUNCTIONING. YET ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH THIS VEHICLE.
DEM LIGHTS ARE GOING OUT FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS TO A MINUTE, THEN COMING BACK ON WHILE DRIVING ON THE ROAD.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME LOOSE WITHOUT WARNING. THE DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, CROSSED OVER THE MEDIAN, AND CRASHED INTO A TRUCK ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, BUT THE ENGINE STARTED TO BURN. THE DRIVER OF THE OTHER VEHICLE JUMPED OUT AND USED HIS FIRE EXTINGUISHER TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. THE CONTACT'S FRIEND SUSTAINED INJURIES THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. FIRE AND POLICE REPORTS WERE FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND TOTALED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 111,000.
MY LOW BEAM AND DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS STOPPED FUNCTIONING LAST WEEK. I FOUND THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS, BUT ONLY FOR CERTAIN VEHICLES. GM NEEDS TO EXPAND THIS TO COVER ALL TRAILBLAZERS MANUFACTURED IN 2007. I CONTACTED GM AND WAS TOLD IN SPITE OF PROBLEM THEY WOULD NOT COVER THE REPAIR. I HAD TO DRIVE HOME ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY AT 10:00 PM 85 MILES USING HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS.
WHILE NIGHT DRIVING IN THE CITY OR HIGHWAY THE HEADLIGHTS JUST DIE. LEAVING THE CAR WITH NO LIGHTS AND IN TOTAL DARKNESS. UNFORTUNATELY I HAVE TO USE HIGH BEAMS TO CONTINUE MY TRIP. USING THE HIGH BEAMS CAUSES BLINDING OF THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC UNTIL I CAN SAFELY REACH MY DESTINATION. THE LIGHT STAY OUT ON AVERAGE ABOUT HALF AN HOUR.
MY LEFT TURN SIGNAL WORKS INTERMITTINGLY. I HAVE HAD THE WHOTE TURN SIGNAL ARM REPLACES AND THE CIRCUIT BOARDS AND LIGHTS REPLACED. DEALERSHIP IS NOT ABLE TO FIND OUT WHAT IS CAUSING THE TURN SIGNAL TO ONLY WORK WHEN IT WANTS TO. THE RIGHT TURN SIGNAL, CRUISE CONTROL AND WIPERS WORK FINE. I CAN HEAR THE TURN SIGNAL CLICK LIKE IT IS MAKING A CONNECTION BUT THE LIGHT BLINKS ON AND OFF, THEN STOPS. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF I AM MOVING OR STOPPED, IDLING.
WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE LAST NIGHT THE HEADLAMPS WOULD TURN OFF FOR NO APPARENT REASON. IT DID THIS SEVERAL TIMES. I WAS DRIVING IN TOWN AND ON COUNTRY ROADS.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 130,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

I HAVE NO LOW BEAM LIGHT OR DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS. I DO HAVE SIDE MARKER LIGHTS ALONG WITH TURN SIGNAL AND TAIL LIGHTS. THE PROBLEM STARTED ON 12/2015 AND AGAIN ON 03/14/2016.
