THE LOW BEAM AND DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS WILL NOT COME ON. SOME VIN NUMBERS ARE COVERED UNDER RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM BUT CHEVROLET SAYS MY VIN NUMBER ISN'T LISTED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS LOW SPEEDS, THE HEADLIGHTS, AND DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS MALFUNCTIONED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS INTERMITTENT OVER A PERIOD OF 10 MILES. BERGSTROM CHEVROLET OF MIDDLETON, WISCONSIN LOCATED AT 3605 TRIBECA DRIVE, 53562, WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V519000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF THE MILEAGE WARRANTY COVERAGE OF 150,000. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 148,000.
LOSS OF BOTH DRL'S AND HEADLIGHTS WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT, WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION ON INTERSTATE 10.
THIS ISSUE OCCURRED ABOUT 6-7 TIMES THROUGHOUT MY 15 MILE TRIP. MY TRAVEL WAS ON A HIGHWAY AND SPEEDS WERE BETWEEN 55-68 M.P.H. AT THE ONSET OF EACH OCCURRENCE. I WOULD HIT A BUMP IN THE ROAD (NOT A MAJOR ONE ' JUST A BUMP) AND THEN THE 'STABILITRAK ACTIVE' LIGHT WOULD BE ILLUMINATED IN THE DASH CONTINUOUSLY BLINKING LIKE IT'S STUCK. THEN: -THE TRUCK WOULD BECOME SLUGGISH DROPPING SPEED AND KNOCKING OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL -YOU CAN'T ACCELERATE -THE STEERING LOCKS UP SORT OF CAUSING IT TO FEEL LIKE THE TRUCK IS OUT OF CONTROL, THIS OCCURRING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS -THE AMOUNT OF POWER USED BY STABILITRAK WAS IMMENSE ' THE HEADLIGHTS BEGAN TO DIM THE LONGER IT WAS STUCK IN THIS STATE -IF YOU TRY BRAKING DURING THESE SPELLS IT HAS THE ANTI-LOCK ACTIVE SO YOU'RE JUST GRINDING AWAY LIKE YOU'RE IN A SKID BUT NOT STOPPING (AND THIS IS ON DRY PAVEMENT!) -- THIS OCCURRED ONE TIME WHILE I WAS ON AN EXIT RAMP AND AND I WAS UNABLE TO SLOW THANKFULLY I HAD TAKEN THE RAMP A LITTLE SLOWER TO BEGIN WITH OR I COULD HAVE BEEN IN MAJOR TROUBLE IN THE CURVE THEN SUDDENLY AS QUICK AS IT ALL STARTED IT RELEASES ' THE LIGHT SHUTS OFF AND ALL RETURNS TO NORMAL.

THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT THE LIGHT BULBS WERE REPLACED SEVERAL TIMES, BUT THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V5190000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 141,000.
ABOUT 3 WEEKS AGO I LOST POWER AND ALL DASH LIGHTS WERE FLASHING. PULLED TO SIDE AND RESTARTED WITHOUT PROBLEM. YESTERDAY, I HAD SUV IN FOR NEW TIRES AND WHEN THEY WENT TO BACK OUT OF THE BAY SMOKE CAME FROM THE STEERING COLUMN. WHEN THEY TRIED AGAIN, THE IGNITION SWITCH IS DEAD, NO DASHBOARD LIGHTS. DISCONNECTED BATTERY TO PREVENT A FIRE AND AM TOWING TO CHEVROLET DEALER.
AT A RED LIGHT AND ATTEMPTED TO CLOSE THE DRIVER'S SIDE ELECTRIC WINDOW. WHEN I PRESSED THE BUTTOM TO RAISE THE WINDOW THE WINDOW STOPPED RAISING TO A CLOSED POSITION AND HEARD A LOUD NOISE SIMILAR TO GLASS CRUMBLING INSIDE DRIVER DOOR. IS THE REGULATOR COVERED UNDER A RECALL. I PREVIOUSLY HAD THE DRIVER'S DOOR MASTER POWER WINDOW SWITCH MODULE REPLACED DUE TO A RECALL. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE DRIVER'S SIDE WINDOW MECHANISM ALWAYS SLOWING DOWN AND STOPPING MIDWAY DURING COLD TEMPERATURES.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER. UPON TURNING OFF THE VEHICLE, THE DRIVER'S SEAT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY MOVE BACKWARDS TO ALLOW THE DRIVER TO EXIT THE VEHICLE. UPON RESTARTING THE VEHICLE, THE DRIVER'S SEAT WAS NOT ABLE TO BE READJUSTED TO A PROPER DRIVING POSITION. AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO REACH THE PEDALS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER'S SEAT TRACK AND MOTOR WERE BURNT OUT AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL YEARS LATER. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO MIKE MAROONE CHEVROLET SOUTH (230 NORTH ACADEMY BOULEVARD, COLORADO SPRINGS, CO 80909, (719) 888-5393), BUT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT AND DEALER WERE AWAITING A CALLBACK FROM THE MANUFACTURER REGARDING THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER REFUSED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 86,000.
WHEN I FILL THE FUEL TANK, THE FUEL GAUGE SHOWS EMPTY AND THE LOW FUEL LIGHT COMES ON AND THE LOW FUEL ALARM WILL DING. SOMETIMES THE GAUGE WILL GO UP AND THEN BACK DOWN. SOMETIMES, THE GAUGE WILL SHOW CORRECTLY BUT YOU ARE NEVER SURE. THIS OCCURS WHEN MOVING OR SITTING ON A SLOPE OR ON FLAT GROUND.

IN ADDITION, THE BRAKE BELL SOUNDED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE ISSUE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 72,000.
SHORTLY AFTER CHRISTMAS 2015, WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET THE RED LIGHT ON THE GAS GUAGE CAME ON AND THE GAUGE SHOWED EMPTY. HAVING JUST FILLED THE TANK EARLIER THAT DAY I THOUGHT THE GAS HAD BEEN STOLEN. I PULLED INTO A STATION TO REFILL BUT IT WAS STILL FULL. FOR THE NEXT FIVE WEEKS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON AND THE GAUGE ONLY WORKED OCCASIONALLY. IT WASN'T A DANGEROUS SITUATION BUT AFTER A FEW WEEKS OF GUESSING HOW MUCH GAS WAS IN IT, I TOOK IT TO A REPAIRMAN WHO REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP MODULE ASSEMBLY FOR A MERE $767.04. THE ODOMETER IS ONLY AT 47,760.

ABS ALWAYS ENGAGING AT LOW SPEEDS, ISSUE CAUSE BY ABS MODULE LOCATED UNDER VECHICLE, GETS WET OR MOISTURE , POOR GM DESIGN, POOR LOCATION TO PIT ELECTRONICS UNDER VECHICLE. ALOTA OF PEOPLE ONLINE HAVE SAME ISSUE SPENING OVER 1000.00 ON NEW MODULE DOES NOT CORRECT PROBLEM PER ONLINE FORUMS.
THE HEADLIGHTS ON THE VEHICLE GO OUT AT RANDOM TIMES, SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT THE LIGHTS HAVE GONE OUT, THE LAST TIME I WAS ENTERING A HIGHWAY AND ENDED UP USING THE HIGH BEAMS SO I WOULDN'T GO OFF THE ROAD. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SAFETY CONCERN.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AN ELECTRICAL FAILURE WITHIN THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO CATCH ON FIRE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PREVIOUSLY REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V599000 (VISIBILITY). THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED TO BUY BACK THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 162,000.
HEADLIGHT FAIL - THEY INTERMITTENTLY TURN OFF BY THEMSELVES WHILE DRIVING AND EVENTUALLY TURN BACK ON. THIS HAPPENS VERY OFTEN AND I AM VERY AFRAID OF MY SAFETY AND ALSO OF MY FAMILY.
LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WILL NOT WORK. ONLY HIGH BEAMS. BEGAN INTERMITTENTLY BUT NOW WILL NOT WORK ON LOW BEAMS AT ALL. TOOK TO DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THIS WAS NOT LISTED UNDER THE RECALL HOWEVER IT IS THE EXACT PROBLEM.
THERE IS TIME THE KEY WILL KEEP TURN ENGINE OVER EVEN WHEN YOU LET GO OF KEY , #2 HEADLAMP AND DAYTIME DRIVING LITE SOMETIMES WON'T WON'T WORK PROPERLY. AND THE LAST THING IS MY DRIVER SIDE MASTER DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY WHEN IT RAIN.

WHILE DRIVING MY HEADLIGHTS WILL QUIT WORKING AND CEASE TO TURN ON UNTIL AFTER SITTING FOR A FEW HOURS. AFTER DRIVING AND AND PARKING, SOMETIMES THE HEADLIGHTS WILL FAIL TO TURN ON AFTER STARTING VEHICLE. MY HEADLIGHTS ARE HAVING THE VERY SAME ISSUES AS MENTIONED IN GM RECALL 14291 WHERE ISSUES WITH THE HEADLAMP DRIVER MODULE (HDM) OVERHEAT AND FAIL, CAUSING THE HEADLAMPS AND DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS TO THEN FAIL AND NOT ILLUMINATE. I CONTACTED CHEVROLET AND THEY REFUSED TO COVER THE ISSUE UNDER THE RECALL STATING IT IS VIN SPECIFIC AND MY VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR SEVERAL MONTHS AND IS VERY DANGEROUS.
THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WILL GO OUT (OFF) WITHOUT OUR DOING ANYTHING. ONE OCCASION OCCURRED ON I-4 WEST BOUND FROM ORLANDO. HAVE READ OF OTHER PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM., YET NO RECALL. DO ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES HAVE TO HAPPEN BEFORE ACTION IS TAKEN.? IT IS OCCURRING MORE FREQUENTLY THAN BEFORE AND WILL HAPPEN UNDER ANY CONDITIONS. HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR A COUPLE YEARS.
OCT 15, 2015 HEADLIGHTS TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. SHORT TRIP ON LOCAL STREETS FINISHED WITHOUT LIGHTS. DEALER, 10-16-15, REPLACED HCM FUZE #53. NOV 3, 2015 HEADLIGHTS AGAIN TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. TRIP FINISHED WITH FOG LIGHTS. OWNER REPLACED HCM FUZE #53. NOV 12, 2015 HEADLIGHTS AGAIN FAILED WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. TRIP FINISHED WITH FOG LIGHTS. OWNER FELT HCM, IT WAS VERY HOT. LIGHTS TURNED ON AGAIN IN MORNING AFTER HCM COOLED. FUZE NOT REPLACED. VEHICLE MILEAAGE IS APPROX 70,000. THIS VEHICLE VIN NOT INCLUDED IN GM RECALL #14291. THIS IS DEFINITELY A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE!
DRIVING AT NIGHT MY HEADLIGHTS QUIT WORKING. LIKE DOZENS OF OTHER COMPLAINTS TO NHSTA, I CONTACTED GENERAL MOTORS BUT THIS VIN WAS NOT COVERED ON NHSTA ID 14V7550, GM RECALL 14291. THE REPAIR COST $80 BUT GM HAS REFUSED TO HONOR MY REQUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT. WHEN IS NHSTA GOING TO DO IT'S JOB AND FORCE GM TO EXPAND THE NUMBER OF VINS THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN INCLUDED. I AM SURE THERE ARE PROABALY HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF OTHER OWNERS LIKE ME. THE LOSS OF HEADLIGHTS AT NIGHT IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM AND SHOULD RECEIVE MUICH QUICKER ACTION FROM THE NHSTA ON THE VINS TO BE INCLUDED.

HEADLIGHTS GO OUT OCCASIONLY WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME. LOOKS TO ME EXACTLY LIKE RECALL 14V755000 / GM # 14291. GM SAYS IT COULD NOT BE THAT BECAUSE MY TRAILBLAZER DOES NOT HAVE THOSE PARTS THAT THEY KNOW ARE DEFECTIVE? I AM SKEPTICAL. WHERE IT ASKS FOR DATE THIS HAPPENED I PUT THE LAST DATE IT OCCURRED.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE INTER STATE AT 8;30 PM BOTH THE LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS FAILED I MOVED THE LIGHT SWITCH FROM AUTO TO MANUAL WITH NO AFFECT. THE FOG LIGHTS AND HIGH BEAM LIGHTS CONTINUED TO WORK. HOWEVER USING THE HIGH ON THE INTERSTATE COULD AFFECT ON COMING DRIVERS SO WHERE THE HIGHWAY WAS LIGHTED I USED THE FOG LIGHT. GOT HOME OFF INTERSTATE USING HIGH BEAMS. NEXT MORNING THE DAYTIME LIGHTS AND LOW BEAMS WORKING HOWEVER SHORTLY AFTER DRIVING TO STORE THE LIGHTS AGAIN WERE NOT OPERATIVE STOPPED AT PEP BOYS AND ASKED THEM ABOUT IT AND THEY SAID THEY COULD MAKE SURE BULBS WERE OKAY BUT NORMALLY BOTH BULBS DON'T FAIL AT THE SAME . LATER IN THE AFTERNOON TRIED LIGHTS AND BOTH DAYTIME AND LOW BEAMS WORKED. A FRIEND TOLD ME GM WAS HAVING TROUBLE WITH 2006 AND 2007 TRAIL BLAZERS WITH THE LIGHT JUST SHUTTING OFF AND A MODULE WAS BELIEVED TO BE PROBLEM. APPARENTLY GM HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND WAS SUPPOSE TO RECALL THE VEHICLES YET THEY DID NOT WARN ANYONE ONE ABOUT THIS ISSUES HOWEVER PEOPLE WITH EARLIER TRAIL BLAZERS HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS ALSO. EVEN IF GM IS TRYING TO DECIDE ON A RECALL FIX THEY AND THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD MANDATE THAT THEY AT LEAST WARN THE VEHICLE OWNERS AND TELL HIM HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I HAVE HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY NOTICES ABOUT THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS AS A POINT OF REFERENCE MY LIGHTS FAILED ON AN OVER PASS DOWN RAMP AND CAUGHT ME TOTALLY BY SURPRISE THANK GOD IT WAS NOT A TWO LANE SECONDARY ROAD WITH ON COMING TRAFFIC. ITS TIME TO FORCE GM TO DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM. I AM TAKING CAR TO THE LOCAL DEALER TO SEE HOW THEY DEAL WITH IT. I HAVE ALSO SEEN ON THE INTERNET YOU CAN GET A MODULE AT LOCAL AUTO PARTS STORE I AM LOOKING INTO THIS TOMORROW SINCE I LIVE IN FLORIDA AND SOON IT WILL BE DARK AT 5 O"CLOCK AND I WILL BE CONSTANTLY DRIVING HOME IN DARK ON THE INTERSTATE.
MY 2007 CHEVROLET TRAILBLAZER HAD LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS NOT WORKING WHEN I TURN THEM ON. I HAVE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT WITH HIGH BEAM LIGHTS (THEY WORK FINE) AND I AM VERY ANNOYING TO OTHER DRIVERS. I HAD VEHICLE CHECKED OUT AND FUSES AND LIGHT BULBS APPEAR FINE. I UNDERSTAND THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE. I NEED IT FIXED.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE HEAD LAMP MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT WAS AWARE OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V755000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING); HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 108,000.

SO I PUT THE GEAR IN PARK AND STARTED THE CAR AGAIN SO IT WORK AGAIN BUT THE NEEDLE TOOK 15 MINUTES TO GO UP ALL THE WAY TO FULL. AND I KNOW MY TANK WAS FULL BECAUSE I PUMP WAS THE NIGHT BEFORE. SO I KEEP DRIVING FOR 3 DAYS AND FILLED AGAIN MY TANK THE NIGHT BEFORE AND NEXT DAY I TURN ON THE CAR AGAIN THE NEDDLE WENT DOWN A QUARTER. THE MECANIC SAI WAS THE FUEL SENSOR PUMP GAS. AND I HEAR OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. THE REPAIR COST ME 730 DOLLARS .

STARTED THE TRAILBLAZER AND HEADLIGHTS WOULD NOT COME ON.. TRIED AUTOMATIC AND MANUAL. WE TURN THE TRAILBLAZER OFF AND ON A COUPLE TIMES AND FINALLY GOT IT TO COME ON MAUNUAL. ONE WEEK LATER WAS COMING HOME ON A 4 LANE AND MY HEALIGHTS JUST WENT OFF. LUCKEY I WAS ABLE TO GET OFF ROAD AND TURN FLASHERS ON. TURN TRAILBLAZER ON AND OFF, THE HEADLIGHTS ON AND OFF BUT THEY DIDNT COME ON . TURN AUTOMATIC LIGHTS OFF AND TURN HIGH BEAMS ON THAT IS HOW I HAD TO DRIVE HOME. I TESTED MY LOWBEAMS ON AND OFF COMING HOME. THE WOULD GO IN AND OUT.
SOLID STATE RELAY MODULE FOR LOW BEAM - HIGH BEAM HEADLIGHTS. WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT, BOTH LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT AT THE SAME TIME. WAS ABLE TO SWITCH TO HIGH BEAMS TO CONTINUE HOME, BUT NOT WITHOUT BLINDING OTHER VEHICLES. REPLACED THE SOLID STATE RELAY AT A LOCAL AUTOZONE STORE. THIS RELAY IS A SINGLE POINT FAILURE, WHICH AN UN-EXPERIENCED DRIVER COULD HAVE HAD A POSSIBLE ACCIDENT IF THE PERSON DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO QUICKLY IN A CALM MANNER.

AT APPROXIMATELY 9:00 PM I WAS TRAVELING ON A RURAL ROAD AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND SUDDENLY MY HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. THE HEADLAMPS WERE ON LOW-BEAM AT THE TIME. I CHECKED THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH AND IT WAS IN THE PROPER POSITION. I SWITCHED THE HEADLIGHTS TO HIGH-BEAM AND THE LIGHTS CAME BACK ON. I RESEARCHED THE ISSUE AND IT APPEARS THAT A 'HEADLIGHT DRIVER MODULE' IS TO BLAME. THIS MODULE APPEARS TO BE A SIGNIFICANT SOURCE OF FAILURE. THIS IS A TERRIBLE DESIGN FLAW. SOMETHING AS IMPORTANT AS HEADLIGHTS SHOULD NOT BE SUBJECT TO SUCH A POOR QUALITY DEVICE. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE NO DEVICES BETWEEN THE BATTERY AND THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH AND THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH AND THE LIGHTS.

CALLED THE CHEVY NUMBER, 1 800 222 1020, BUT INFORMED THAT NOTHING FOUND FOR OUR VIN NUMBER. LOOKED ONLINE WITH OUR VIN NUMBER ALSO, BUT NOTHING IS LISTED FOR THIS ISSUE.
