The failure mileage was approximately 62,000. The manufacturer stated there was nothing they could do and NHTSA's responsibility to include their vin in the recall.

iv been having problems with my vehicle since March 1st been to 3-4 shops one let me know my car is doing everything in the recall for fuel problems stalls out on me while I'm driving and when it gets to under half way mark on gas gage it's like there is no gas in it crystler in auburn ny is no help they keep giving my car back when I tell them whats wrong and giving me the run around iv spent 3000 already to fix the problem they are not fixing it I keep stalling out while driving
DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH THE CAR ON CRUISE AT ABOUT 60MPH THE RPMS SUDDENLY DROPPED TO ZERO AND THE CAR DECELERATED TO A STOP. WHEN I RESTARTED I WENT ABOUT A QUARTER OF A MILE BEFORE IT TURN OFF AGAIN. THEN ON ATTEMPTING TO TURN OVER AGAIN IT WOULD NOT START. AFTER COOLING DOWN (IN THE TURN LANE OF A BUSY HIGHWAY) FOR ABOUT SIX MINUTES IT FINALLY STARTED AGAIN AND I WAS ABLE TO PULL TO A PARKING LOT.
THE CAR HAS A BROKEN CONTROL VALVE IN THE FUEL TANK AS THE DEALER TOLD ME AND THIS CAR SHOULD ALSO BE ON A RECALL TO REPLACE THE FUEL TANK AS IT WAS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE .
WHILE IDLING, DRIVING AT LOW SPEEDS OR IN PARK, THE CAR RANDOMLY STALLS. ALSO WHILE USING THE REMOTE START, AFTER TURNING THE CAR ON, IT STALLS. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL THINGS REPLACED ON THE CAR, BUT IT STILL RANDOMLY STALLS.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE AND THAT FUEL WAS LEAKING UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. CAR ACTS AS IF IT DOES WANT TO ACCELERATE. MAKES A THUMPING JERKING MOTION WILL DRIVING. IT'SEEMS MOST NOTICEABLE WHILE INTERSTATE DRIVING HARD HESITATION TRYING TIME ACCELERATE. SINCE PURCHASED IN SEPTEMBER 2012 ALWAYS DRIVES SLUGGISH ON CITY HIGHWAY; THUMPING WAS NOTICEABLE-CHASED IT UP TO LEARNING A NEW VEHICLE. THUMBING GETTING HARDER AND FREQUENT....LIKE FAST "THUMP JERK, THUMB JERKING, THUMP JERK"-. I ALWAYS HAVE PLENTY OF GAS. IT HAPPENS WITH 87 OR 89 OCTANE.
EVER SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN JULY, 2017, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON WITH THE MESSAGE "GASCAP" SHOWING ON THE ODOMETER. CAR WOULD NOT START. THE LIGHTS WORKED, AAA CAME AND CHECKED PLUGS OTHER THINGS UNDER THE HOOD AND RESET THE FUEL PUMP BUTTON. IT STIL WOULD NOT START. THEY TOWED IT TO A REPAIR SHOP, WHO PUT A NEW FUEL PUMP IN. EXACTLY 30 DAYS LATER, THE SAME THING HAPPENED. A DIFFERENT TOW TRUCK DRIVER CAME, TRIED THE SAME THINGS AND TOWED IT TO THE SHOP. SHOP OWNERS SAID IT IS STARTING FINE; BUT WANTED TO KEEP IT OVER THE WEEKEND TO TRY TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS HAPPENING. WHILE THIS DID OCCUR AFTER THE CAR HAD BEEN SITTING FOR A FEW HOURS, I AM CONCERNED THAT IT WILL HAPPEN ON THE ROAD. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED, I WAS AT THE EMERGENCY ROOM AT THE HOSPITAL, AND IT HAD BEEN SITTING IN THE PARKING LOT FOR ABOUT THREE HOURS. LAST WEEK, IT JUST DID NOT START ONE MORNING. THE NIGHT BEFORE, I WAS DRIVING WITH A FRIEND IN THE CAR, AND I TOLD HER SOMETHING DIDN'T SOUND RIGHT- BUT I KEPT DRIVING. THERE IS A CLICKING NOISE THAT SEEMS TO BE COMING FROM THE AC/HEATER VENTS THAT MAY BE UNRELATED. THE FIRST INCIDENT WAS 6/20/17 AND THE SECOND ON 7/20/17.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE SAME DEALER AND KEPT OVERNIGHT FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000. MAY-4-2018 VEHICLE STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS IN 2016 WITH STRONG ODOR OF RAW FUEL UNDER THE DASH ON DRIVER SIDE. SMELL IS PROMINENT WHEN VEHICLE IS STARTED AND THEN DIMINISHED AFTER 10 MINUTES OF DRIVING. PROBLEM WAS REPORTED ON 12-27-16 AND SERVICE ADVISOR DID NOT DETECT A FUEL SMELL. ON 3-7-18 THE PROBLEM WAS REPORTED AGAIN AND NO SMELL WAS DETECTED A SECOND TIME. WILL KEEP MONITORING THE CAR. *TT

OCT 2014 I REMOTE STARTED MY CAR. MY GRANDSON WAS IN THE CAR, WHEN I CAME OUTSIDE I SMELLED A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE. GAS FUMES WAS COMING THROUGH THE VENTS AND GAS WAS LEAKING, TOOK TO OLATHE DODGE THEY SUPPOSEDLY FIXED IT. 3 FUEL INJECTORS AND LOOSE HOSE. JAN 2014, SAME THING HAPPENED I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD THIS TIME A LOUD CLANG, STRONG GAS FUMES CAME THROUGH THE VENTS AND I PARKED AND HAD IT TOWED BACK TO OLATHE DODGE. THEY FIXED AGAIN. I GOT MY CAR BACK AND TOOK IT 2 BLOCKS AND IT WAS SMOKING BLUE/BLACK SMOKE REALLY BAD, I TOOK IT BACK TO OLATHE DODGE. THEY CALLED ME 6 DAYS LATER AND SAID IT WAS FIXED, I TOOK OFF WORK TO PICK IT UP GOT IN THE CAR THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS BACK ON AND COULD STILL SMELL GAS. THEY KEPT THE CAR AND GAVE ME RENTAL AND CALLED BACK 7 DAYS LATER. THIS TIME IT WAS FIXED. ON FEB 17, I WAS GOING TO HOSPITAL TO SEE MY NEW GRANDSON, I GOT OFF WORK STARTED DRIVING AND THE GAS FUMES WERE BACK IN MY CAR. I KEPT DRIVING TO THE HOSPITAL WITH THE WINDOW DOWN ABOUT 2 INCHES BECAUSE GAS FUMES COMING THROUGH VENTS. I LEFT MY CAR AT HOSPITAL AND CALLED OLATHE DODGE. THEY SAID TO BRING IT DOWN TO THEM. I DROVE IT TO OLATHE KNOWING THAT THE FUMES WAS COMING THROUGH THE VENTS. ON FEB 18TH I WENT TO DR. BECAUSE MY FACE WAS SWOLLEN AND RED. THE DR. SAID THAT I WAS WALKING IN THE COLD, WHICH CAUSED ME TO GET WIND BURNED. I WORK IN DOORS. I CALLED POISON CONTROL TO SEE WHAT I CAN DO. THEY SAID THAT I SHOULD NOT GET BACK IN THAT CAR UNTIL IT IS FIXED BECAUSE THAT IS DANGEROUS. THIS IS THE 6TH TIME THAT THEY TRIED TO FIX IT. EVERYONE TOLD ME THAT THIS CAR IS A LEMON. WE DRIVE A 2013 CHRYSLER 200, 3.6L V6. WE HAVE 12,500 MILES ON THE CAR. THIS MONTH WE ARE EXPERIENCING A STALLING PROBLEM AT SLOW SPEEDS WHEN GETTING READY TO STOP. I TOOK THE CAR ON THE HIGHWAY TO SEE IF THE PROBLEM EXISTED AT HIGH SPEEDS. I SET THE CRUISE CONTROL AND IT DIED TWO TIMES IN TEN MINUTES. THE CAR STARTED BACK UP WITH NO PROBLEMS. I CHECKED ON LINE TO SEE IF THERE WERE ANY RECALLS ON MY 200. THERE IS AN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER 13V043000 (FEB 06,2013) THAT IS CATEGORIZED AS FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE. THIS MAY BE THE ISSUE BUT THE CHRYSLER DEALER DID NOT ACKNOWLEDGE THIS AS A RECALL FOR MY VEHICLE. THIS RECALL IS FOR A GAS TANK THAT HAS A BROKEN CONTROL VALVE IN THE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY. I THINK THAT MY PROBLEM WITH THE CAR COULD BE ONE THAT WAS DISCOVERED TWO YEARS AGO ON 2011 CHRYSLER 200 WITH 3.6L V6 ENGINES. MY CAR HAS SHUT OFF WHEN IDLING OR COMING TO A STOP WITHOUT A WARNING SIGN AND NO DASH INDICATOR LIGHT. I TURNED THE KEY TO OFF AND RESTARTED THE ENGINE. IT STARTED RIGHT AWAY AND I BELIEVE THAT IT LET ME START IT WHILE IT WAS STILL IN DRIVE. MY CAR HAS STALLED (4) TIMES IN THE LAST WEEK. THE NHTSA OPENED AN INVESTIGATION INTO STALLING PROBLEMS ON JUNE 22, 2012. IT COVERED AN ESTIMATED 87,288 VEHICLES. CHRYSLER ANNOUNCED THEY HAD IDENTIFIED A POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE (PCM) DEFECT IN THEIR 3.6L ENGINES. THE PCM WAS INITIATING A PURGE MONITOR CHECK WHILE THE ENGINE WAS AT IDLE OR SLOWING DOWN. THE PURGE RESULTED IN AN "OVERLY RICH VAPOR CONDITION THAT CAUSED THE ENGINE TO STALL". CHRYSLER DEVELOPED A SOFTWARE PATCH WHICH REPROGRAMS THE PCM. THE PATCH WAS RELEASED AS PART OF A "CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM" IN SEPTEMBER 2012. THE NHTSA CLOSED THE INVESTIGATION AND DID NOT FORCE CHRYSLER TO ISSUE A RECALL BECAUSE CHRYSLER CLASSIFIED THE PROBLEM AS "LOW RISK". *TR
WHEN I START THE CAR ON A "COLD" START - IT PULSES AND ACTS AS IF IT IS GOING TO DIE OUT. I HAVE TO PUSH THE GAS FOR IT TO CATCH AND RUN NORMAL. I HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT I HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT BECAUSE IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE AND THEY HAVE NO SOLUTION FOR THE PROBLEM AS OF RIGHT NOW. NO TIMEFRAME FOR THE SOLUTION!! THIS IS NOT FAIR. I BOUGHT THIS CAR NEW WITH 69 MILES ON IT. DROVE IT HOME WHICH IS ABOUT 40 MILES HOME AND THE NEXT MORNING IT STARTS THIS JUNK.
