I took my car to Carman Dodge Chrylser Dealer located 196 s Dupont hwy , new castle de, 19720. My car was scheduled for a recall repair u90 and power train software update. I took my car in 4-10-25 and it stayed overnight until 4-11-25. When receiving my car I was presented with new issues that caused a no bus code and radio died. My car had no internal issues prior to taking my car to the dealer for recall repairs. I have all the documentation and employees names for the service department. I was told by my advisor Lance Grey and supervisor Joseph Troboletti that there is nothing else they can do. Other than these new problems that occurred just so happened to be coincidental. And in order to get things replace I would have to wait until July and I may be eligible for a small discount on the parts. So that means I would have to wait 3 months to get repairs and drive a car with my children with no working windows , radio and etc.
The transmission jumped into neutral while going 65mph also indicating “service park brake” and “service transmission”. The vehicle slowing down almost caused another vehicle to rear end me as I was looking for a safe place to try and pull over. No one has inspected properly these vehicles despite numerous customer complaints of the same nature. The car had no lights on but afterwards the power train light came on.

Car is stalling for unknown reason without any warning or light appearing on dash. Feeling unsafe especially when driving on the highway because I never know when it will happen. Has been happening every day for the past 3 days. Happened in the beginning after a couple months of having the car and the first time I took it in, they couldn't find anything wrong or replicate the problem.
About 2 weeks ago , my car began malfunctioning and randomly shutting off while driving. The car gives no indication that there is an issue before hand which is dangerous. It has happened to me while entering the freeway and while on regular streets. In addition, when this happens, my gearshift somehow gets stuck which makes me unable to move the car. Sometimes I cannot turn the car off, it would get stuck running. The shift would malfunction illuminating other shifts even though it is stuck. This issue has happened to me again in the wee hours of this morning at 3am on a dark road. I feared for me life… I see that this is an ongoing issue in many complaints that I see but there has been no resolve from the manufacturer. Please help.
The Chrysler 200's engine keeps suddenly shutting off while driving, mainly while making turns on streets and freeway on/off ramps. There are no warning lights, sounds, or visual cues to indicate any sort of problem. Sometimes the vehicle may just stall, most other times it just turns off and asks that I switch the shifter to park to then turn the vehicle back on. This issue is very concerning as it’s dangerous for the vehicle to shut down in traffic and could prove fatal.

AS I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 40MPH AND SLOWING DOWN FOR A STOP SIGN, THE ENGINE DIED OUT. LOCKING MY BRAKES AND MY STEERING WHEEL. AT THIS VERY MOMENT THE GEAR D WAS BLINKING ON THE DASH AND TELLING ME TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS DISABLES AND THE IGNITION WOULD NOT START THE CAR UNTIL AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES AND MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS. THIS HAS OCCURRED A TOTAL OF 5 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS IF IT OCCURRED WHILE I'M ON THE FREEWAY OR IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION.
WHILE DRIVING THE CAR WILL LOSE POWER. DASHBOARD SAYS TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN DRIVE, WHICH IT IS ALREADY IN DRIVE BECAUSE I'M DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. I HAVE TO PUT IT IN PARK, SHUT OFF THE ENGINE, WAIT A FEW SECONDS AND RESTART THE CAR. THIS HAPPENS WHETHER I'M IN A PARKING LOT OR ON A MAIN ROAD IN TRAFFIC. FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED (A FEW WEEKS AGO) I WAS IN TRAFFIC ON A MAIN ROAD AND I HAD JUST STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT. TODAY IT HAPPENED AFTER I PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT AND STARTED TO PULL INTO A PARKING SPOT.

THE MANUFACTURER HAD YET TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 21,000.

I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC AND BEGAN TO PANIC BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO GET INTO AN ACCIDENT. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY 'FIXED' THE ISSUE. SHORTLY AFTER, WHILE AT A STOP LIGHT, THE CAR SHUT OFF AGAIN IN TRAFFIC AND TOOK A WHILE TO RESTART. EVERYTHING IN THE VEHICLE TURNS OFF. I AGAIN TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY 'FIXED' THE ISSUE. HERE WE ARE JUST LAST WEEK, 08/15/2020 AND I'M DRIVING ON A MAJOR THRU WAY AND THE VEHICLE CUTS OFF AGAIN. THERE HAVE NEVER BEEN ANY WARNING SIGNS, LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD/ REASON FOR ME TO BELIEVE SOMETHING WAS WRONG. MY VEHICLE BARELY HAS 50K MILES. AFTER LOOKING UP MY VIN TO SEE IF THERE HAD BEEN A RECALL (THERE ISN'T), I DID NOTICE THAT THE YEAR PRIOR (2015) SAME MAKE AND MODEL HAVE A RECALL FOR THE SAME ELECTRICAL ISSUE I'VE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT. THIS MATTER IS SERIOUS AS THE CARS TURNS OFF UNEXPECTEDLY AND COULD CAUSE A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT. I WILL UPLOAD MY PAPER WORK FROM THE DEALERSHIP THE FIRST 2X. VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION GOING UP A HILL WHILE DRIVING TO WORK . THE VEHICLE STALLED AND SHUT OFF WHILE OTHER CARS WERE BEHIND ME . THIS HAPPEN AT LEAST THREE TIMES WHILE DRIVING TO WORK BEFORE I DECIDED TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO CHRYSLER FOR A DIAGNOSTIC CHECK UP . DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT DECIDED TO GIVE ME A TUNE UP AFTER PAYING 600 DOLLARS TO FIX THE PROBLEM . SEVERAL MONTHS LATER I CONTINUED TO HAVE ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE STALLING WHILE DRIVING. LATER ON CHRYSLER SERVICE TOLD ME MY ENGINE WAS SHOT DUE TO ANTI FREEZE IN THE ENGINE OIL COMPARTMENT . NOW I HAVE NO CAR AND A 6600.00 DOLLAR MAINTENANCE QUOTE TO GET A NEW ENGINE .

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER GRIFFIN'S HUB CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (5700 S 27TH ST, MILWAUKEE, WI 53221, 414) 253-3878) SEVERAL TIMES FOR SOFTWARE UPDATES TO THE TCM. ADDITIONALLY, THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 81,000.
I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT I NEED ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION MOUNTS DUE TO JERKINESS IN CAR. I HAVE ALSO HAD ISSUES WITH THE CAR SHUTTING OFF AT LIGHTS, OR ANY DRIVING SITUATION WHERE I MAY BE AT STANDSTILL WAITING TO PROCEED. EX: TRAFFIC CLEARING OR WAITING FOR PARKING SPACE. AT TIMES IT TAKE 3-4 TRIES BEFORE IT RESTARTS AND THERE IS NO WARNING THAT IT IS GOING TO CUT OFF. LASTLY, THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS INSIDE CAR ARE UNSTABLE. THE AIR BAG LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF, THE BLUETOOTH CONNECTION FOR PHONE ISN'T ALWAYS RELIABLE. OVERALL I AM DISAPPOINTED AND WISH I WAS IN POSITION TO TRADE IT IN. PLEASE ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO NOTE ISSUES THEY ARE HAVING AS WELL.

WHEN DECELERATING AT EITHER A RED LIGHT OR TO TURN, CAR WILL COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WITH NO WARNINGS OR CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS. THIS STARTED ALMOST A MONTH AGO. THEN TODAY EVERYTHING LOCKED UP. ALL ELECTRICAL LIGHTS CAME ON ALONG WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. THERE WAS NO POWER WHEN TRYING TO GET THE VEHICLE BACK HOME. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOWED.
