I believe the brake or something related to the brakes failed. I ran a stop sign, with no evidence of brake marks on the road. I crossed over a highway hit a side walk almost hit a house. The safety of myself and others was at extreme danger. When finally came to a stop I couldn't put my car in Park, or back in drive or shut my car off, i beleive i had no braking or something electrical failed. My car is totaled. The only light on was the airbag light before the accident.
On 08/22/2023, I took my vehicle into an auto service repair center to have diagnostics done due to a creeking sound. I was worried something could be wrong, and should any issues not be addressed or resolved, I could do more damage by continuing to drive my vehicle. Unfortunately I was advised that the sound was due to a rear suspension knuckle issue, a part that can't just be repaired based on how it was engineered and that the whole thing would need to be replaced. Due to the diagnosis I received, I knew it was imperative for me to see if there were any open recalls and review any notations from other Chrysler vehicle owners on said issue. I was able to locate, within just a few moments, that there are several manufacturers that have open recalls due to rear suspension knuckle and bushing problems. I contacted Chrysler Customer Service via email on 08/22/2023, regarding the rear suspension problems, especially since this seems to be a very common issue as noted on several online forums, from Chrysler owners all over the country. Some owners have different Chrysler models, however many happen to be the 200, all of which, are experiencing the same issue. I received a timely response to my email from Chrysler Customer Service to which i appreciate. The email stated: "we are aware of this and are doing the best we can to resolve this." Can you please advise further on said response? With Chrysler being aware of this issue, what is currently being done? What can Chrysler owners expect as far as a resolution and when should we expect a resolution or statement on this issue from Chrysler?
