POWER LOSS AFTER RE-FEELING CAR TURNED OFF
I FILL MY CAR UP AT GAS STATION AND WHILE DRIVING MY CAR WILL COMPLETELY CUT OFF OUT OF NOWHERE

2006 CHRYSLER 300. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO REAR BRAKE TUBES RECALL NOTICE. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED THE REAR BRAKE SYSTEM WAS INSPECTED A FEW YEARS AGO, AND NO PROBLEM WAS FOUND. IN AUGUST OF 2013, THE BRAKES FAILED. HOWEVER, THE CONSUMER WAS CHARGED AND IS NOW SEEKING REIMBURSEMENT DUE TO THE RECALL.
5 SPEED AUTO TRANSMISSION WAS STUCK IN PARK IN MY DRIVEWAY ONE MORNING WHEN I GOT IN THE CAR. I CALLED ORR CHRYSLER DODGE AND CAME AND GOT IT AND CHARGED ME $364 + TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES. I READ ABOUT IT ON THE INTERNET. LONG BEFORE HAVING THE PROBLEM. WHY IS CHRYSLER NOT RECALLING THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS TERRIBLE SERVICE. I HAVE BEEN A CHRYSLER PERSON MY ENTIRE LIFE BUT THIS IS AND BAD ROTORS AT 15,000 MILES HAVE CAUSED ME TO RETHINK THE WHOLE THING. *TR
VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN GARAGE. HAD BEEN DRIVEN HOME AT 11:30P.M. AND WOKE UP TO FIRE IN THE GARAGE AT 1A.M. ENTIRE HOME AND CONTENTS WERE LOST. WE HAD TO JUMP FROM 2ND STORY WINDOWS TO ESCAPE OUR HOME. FIRE DEPARTMENT AND FIRE MARSHALS FELT THAT FIRE BEGAN IN THE GARAGE AND FOUND IT UNDETERMINED, BUT TOLD US THAT THEY FELT STRONGLY THAT IT WAS THE VEHICLE. WE CONTACTED OUR INSURANCE COMPANY WITH INFO WE FOUND ONLINE THAT STATED THE BRAKING PROBLEM WAS BEING RECALLED. THEY STATED THAT THEY HAD NO INFORMATION TO PURSUE. CAR WAS ALSO A TOTAL LOSS. IS THERE ANYTHING MORE WE CAN DO TO FIND OUT WHY THIS RECALL #06V149000 WAS NEVER SENT TO US? HAD WE KNOWN WE WOULD HAVE PARKED THE VEHICLE AWAY FROM OUR HOME!!!! BRAKES FAILED AT A LOW RATE OF SPEED UNDER 10 MPH. BRAKE MALFUNCTION LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND BRAKE PEDAL BECAME HARD. BRAKES SUBSEQUENTLY FAILED, CAUSING VEHICLE TO NOT SLOW DOWN, CAUSING A CRASH. THEY'RE ARE RECALLS FOR THIS PERTICULAR VEHICLE YEAR MAKE AND MODEL IN REGARDS TO ALL OF THE CRITERIA THAT MEETS THE RECALL AND THE REASON FOR COMPLAINT. BRAKES ARE INTERMITTENTLY FAILING, BRAKE MALFUNCTION BLINKING ON AND OFF. CAR UNSAFE TO DRIVE. VOICE ACTIVATION ALERTED DRIVER TO BRAKE FAILURE SECONDS BEFORE BRAKES FAILED JUST SECONDS PRIOR TO IMPACT DUE TO NOT BEING ABLE TO STOP.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE AND STEERING WHEEL VIBRATED EXCESSIVELY WHEN THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. IN ADDITION, THE FRONT END BEGAN TO SHIMMY AND THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTY STEERING THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE FRONT AND REAR ROTORS WERE WARPED. THE CONTACT WAS STRONGLY ADVISED TO REPLACE THE FRONT AND REAR BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED DUE TO THE UNAVAILABILITY OF THE PARTS THAT WERE ORDERED. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300C. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD AN EXTREMELY LOUD SQUEALING NOISE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, BUT NO BRAKE FAILURE WAS IDENTIFIED. RECENTLY, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER AGAIN FOR THE SAME NOISE; HOWEVER, NO FAILURE COULD BE FOUND. THE CONTACT WAS VERY DISCOURAGED AND EMBARRASSED ABOUT THE LOUD, ANNOYING SQUEALING NOISE. SHE STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RESOLUTION FOR THE BRAKE NOISE, WHICH WAS FRUSTRATING AND AN INCONVENIENCE TO HAVE TO CONTINUOUSLY TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 25,000 AND THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300. THE BRAKE PEDAL MAKES A SQUEAKING NOISE THAT APPEARS TO ORIGINATE FROM THE SPRINGS. THE NOISE OCCURRED AT 5 MPH WHENEVER THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER, BUT HAS NOT YET BEEN DIAGNOSED. IN ADDITION, BOTH OF THE REAR WINDOWS DO NOT WORK AND HAVE NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 52,000.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300. THE CALIPERS ON HER BRAKES HAVE BEEN FAILING FOR OVER TWO YEARS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, BUT THE TECHNICIANS COULD NOT IDENTIFY THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. HOWEVER THE DEALER WOULD ALWAYS RESURFACE THE BRAKES AND TURN THE ROTORS. A CERTIFIED MECHANIC FINALLY CONCLUDED THAT THE CALIPER WAS GRABBING THE WHEELS, AND THAT THE ROTORS DID NOT HAVE TO BE TURNED. SHE TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER , BUT THEY WANTED TO CHARGE HER $40.00 TO PERFORM A DIAGNOSTIC TEST ON THE BRAKES AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000 TO 45,0000.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300C SRT-8. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN DEPRESSING THE BRAKES, THERE WAS AN INTERMITTENT SQUEAL. THE NOISE COULD BE HEARD AFTER DRIVING THE VEHICLE FOR APPROXIMATELY 15-20 MINUTES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER THREE TIMES WHERE THE BRAKES PADS AND ROTORS WERE REPLACED BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 262 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 10,387.
BRAKE ROTORS BECAME WARPED ABOUT 17000 MILES THEN GOT WORSE AND WORSE. I REPLACED THE TIRES AT ABOUT 30,000 AND HAD THE PADS CHECKED. THE PADS WERE CERAMIC TYPE AND HAD ZERO WEAR. THE ROTORS ARE A PROBLEM. MY 05 DODGE 4X4 HAS THE SAME PROBLEM AND IT ONLY HAS 23000 MILES. CHRYSLER IS BUYING BAD ROTORS!!!!!! *TR
I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER TO FIND OUT WHY I HAD THESE BIG GROOVES IN MY ROTORS AND A GRINDING NOISE AND THEY HAVE 2 BULLETINS OUT ON THE BRAKE PROBLEM BUT WOULD NOT FIX THEM DUE TO CAR BEING PAST 12,000 MILES. THESE BRAKES COULD BE FAULTY THE VEHICLE IS A 300 SRT /I TOOK IT TO A BRAKE SPECIALIST AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WERE DEFECTIVE AND NOW THE DEALER WONT FIX THEM BECAUSE THE CAR HAS 16,000 MILES ON IT. THESE CARS BRAKES COULD LEAD TO SAFETY PROBLEMS IF NOT RECALLED. *JB
DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE APPLYING BRAKE PRESSURE AT 30 MPH ON A WET ROAD, THERE WAS AN INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE AND A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE LEFT THE ROADWAY AND DESCENDED DOWN AN EMBANKMENT. NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED, BUT THE VEHICLE SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE. THE POLICE WERE ALERTED, AND A REPORT WAS TAKEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. ADDITIONALLY, THERE WAS A NHTSA RECALL; #06V149000 PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE CONCERNING THE BRAKES HOWEVER, THE RECALL DID NOT REMEDY THE PROBLEM. THE DECREASED BRAKING FORCE AND INCREASED STOPPING DISTANCE CONTINUED TO PERSIST. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALERTED. *AK
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING 10-15 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED AND FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WOULD ACCELERATE APPROXIMATELY ONE MINUTE LATER. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE MISFIRED ON TWO OCCASIONS. ON TWO OTHER OCCASIONS, THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE CAUSE OF FAILURE. THE DEALER INSTALLED A POWER TRAIN CONTROL MODULE, HOWEVER, THE FAILURE CONTINUED. AS OF AUGUST 16, 2007, THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 26,000. THE DEALER STATED THE REAR BRAKE TUBE MUST BE INSPECTED FOR DAMAGE, IF BRAKE TUBE IS DAMAGED MUST BE REPLACED. THE CONSUMER PROVIDED MULTIPLE REPAIR INVOICES PERTAINING TO THE DEFECT. UPDATED 08/31/07 *TR
BOUGHT CHRYSLER 300 SRT8 LATE AUGUST 2005. COMPLAINED ABOUT BRAKE SQUEAL AND DUST/EXCESSIVE BRAKE DUST. TOOK CAR IN FOR WARRANTY SERVICE WITH 17,000 MILES. ONLY TO BE ADVISED THAT THERE WAS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN ISSUED, BUT IF CAR NOT BROUGHT IN BEFORE 12,000 MILES/12 MONTHS THE REPAIR WILL BE APPROX. $865 FOR BRAKE PADS AND RESURFACING ROTORS. I AM UNABLE TO FIND TECH BULLETIN REFERRED TO. *NM
