I WAS DRIVING AT 70MPH 2:30 AM ON THE HIGHWAY AT NIGHT RIGHT BEFORE A CURVE THE HEADLIGHTS SHUT OFF DUE TO THE MAIN COMPUTER 'TPIM'.IN ESSENCE IT KILLS ALL AUTO FEATURES IMMEDIATELY INCLUDING THE HEADLIGHTS. IT'S A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS JUST LOOK ON SOME OF THE FORMS ONLINE. I'M UPSET BECAUSE MY WIFE COULD HAVE BEEN DRIVING THE CAR AT THE TIME. CHRYSLER SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE SENSE IT'S AN ISSUE WITH THIS CAR IN GENERAL. THEY ALSO HAVE ISSUES WITH THE LIFTERS DUE TO THE POOR QUALITY OF THE LIFTERS ROLLERS AND THE MDS SYSTEM.
CAR WILL STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING FOR NO REASON JUST LIKE THAT. VERY DANGER, WE CHANCE EVERY POSSIBLE THINK IN THIS CAR INCLUDED THE COMPUTER. I SPEND OVER $2700. AND STILL. THIS CAR IS DRIVE CRAZY .MOSTLY ON STOP SIGH , AND TURNING. RPM GO UP AND DOWN

THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO ZIMMER CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1086 BURLINGTON PIKE, FLORENCE, KY 41042 (859) 525-1344) TO BE SERVICED FOR NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 16V352000 (AIR BAGS) AND 15V313000 (AIR BAGS) AND NOTIFIED THEM OF THE FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 102,373.
I NOTICE MY LIGHTS BLINKING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY WHEN I WAS BEHIND A BIG TRUCK. SINCE THEN IT APPEARS TO HAPPEN ALMOST EVERYTIME I START THE CAR AND TENDS TO GO AWAY AFTER 30 MINUTES OF RUNNING. AT NIGHT IT IS VERY DANGEROUS. THE LIGHTS WILL BLINK AND SOMETIMES GO COMPLETELY OFF.. WHEN I TURN THEM OFF THEY COME BACK ON..THEN GO OUT AGAIN I TURN THE SWITCH AND THEY COME BACK ON.. SOMETIMES THE DASH LIGHTS ALSO GO COMPLETELY OUT AND OTHER TIMES THEY GO FROM DIM TO BRIGHT AND BACK TO DIM.

THE LIGHTS ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ALSO BEGAN TO ILLUMINATE ON AND OFF INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN DIAGNOSED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 81,000. UPDATED 11/13/12 *CN THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BY A LOCAL DEALER. THE SWITCH ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED. UPDATED 11/27/2012 *JS

THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE OR DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 96,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE THEY ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE HEAD LAMP MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED FOR THE EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 54,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
