Steering sticks when going around light curves, wheel must be forced back out of stuck position. I've been following this thread and it seems to be an ongoing, unresolved problem with this car. This started a while after we bought the car (certified pre-owned). It has not yet caused an accident. THE STEERING WHEEL OFTEN "STICKS" OR "CATCHES" WHILE DRIVING. IT HAPPENS ON BOTH CITY STREETS AND HIGHWAYS, GENERALLY AFTER TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL. THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE VEHICLE WHICH AFFECTED THE POWER STEERING. EVEN AFTER HAVING THE VEHICLE SERVICED TO ADDRESS THE RECALL, THE PROBLEM PERSISTS. THE MECHANIC SAYS THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE RACK AND PINION, WHICH NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THERE SHOULD NOT BE PROBLEMS WITH THE RACK AND PINION ON A 4-YEAR-OLD VEHICLE. I AM WONDERING IF THE PROBLEM THAT NECESSITATED THE RECALL ALSO COMPROMISED OR DAMAGED THE RACK AND PINION.
HAD TROUBLE STARTING CAR. BATTERY WAS CHECKED AND SAID TO BE GOOD. ISSUE STOPPED. 2 MONTHS LATER CAR IS COMPLETELY DEAD WHEN I GO TO CRANK ONE MORNING. NO INDICATOR LIGHTS EVER CAME ON. HUSBAND CHARGED BATTERY AND IT CRANK BUT STILL WAS SLUGGISH IN DOING SO. AGAIN BATTERY WAS TESTED AND EXCEPT NOT FULLY CHARGED IT WAS OK. VOLTAGE IS NOW ALL OVER THE PLACE. JUMPING BETWEEN 10 AND 14.7 CONSTANTLY. IF I COME TO A COMPLETE STOP IT GOES DEAD. IT IS CURRENTLY SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY AS WE TRY TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO.
THE DASHBOARD (INSTRUMENT CLUSTER) TURNS ON AND OFF BY ITSELF WHILE THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE. IT DRAINS THE CAR BATTERY PREMATURELY. I'VE HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY 2 TIMES WITHIN 3 YEARS. TODAY, I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT THIS IS NORMAL. THEY STATED THAT THE DASHBOARD CAN DO THIS FOR 30MINS TO 1HR AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TURNED OFF, WHICH MAKES NO SENSE.
THE SCREEN FOR RADIO AND ALL OTHER ELECTRONIC INFO KEEPS FLICKING FROM ONE SCREEN TO ANOTHER THE WHOLE TIME THE ENGINE IS RUNNING. THERE IS NO WAY TO TURN IT OFF, AND IT IS VERY DISTRACTING WHILE DRIVING. AT NIGHT TIME, THERE IS NO WAY TO KEEP IT FROM DISTRACTING THE DRIVER, AND I HAVE AN EPILEPTIC CHILD IN THE CAR WITH ME, AND THAT BLINKING SCREEN HAS THE POTENTIAL TO CAUSE A SEIZURE. THE DEALERSHIP CHARGED $183 TO DO A DIAGNOSTIC AND SAID IT WAS NOT FIXABLE, NEEDED A NEW SCREEN, COSTING $1100. I HAVE SINCE RESEARCHED IT AND IT SEEMS THAT A LOT OF 2017 PACIFICAS HAVE THIS ISSUE. I DON'T HAVE $1100 TO FIX IT, AND I CAN'T TURN IT OFF, SO IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS CAR FOR ME TO DRIVE. I BELIEVE CHRYSLER SHOULD FIX THIS ISSUE.
THE TRANSMISSION OFTEN LURCHES AND CLUNKS INTO GEAR WHEN SHIFTING AT LOWER SPEEDS (BETWEEN 2-4TH GEARS). IT HAPPENS WHEN ACCELERATING OR DECELERATING WITH SPECIFIC PEDAL PRESSURE. THIS HAS HAPPENED SINCE WE BOUGHT THE VEHICLE ALMOST A YEAR AGO, AND SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE WITH THESE VEHICLES.
The contact owns a 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power before independently accelerating. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. There was no warning light illuminated, nor messages displayed. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.
The start/stop feature says to service the system and it effects how the vehicle drives. There’s no pick up and the RPMs are messed up. I have had it to the dealership 5 times and they’ve fixed a few things but the problem persists.
THIS VEHICLE IS A HANDICAP CONVERSION VAN MODIFIED BY REVABILITY / VMI IN THE MODIFICATION - REVABILITY HAS REPLACED THE FACTORY FUEL TANK WITH ONE OF THEIR OWN DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION. IN DOING SO - THEY USE THE CHRYSLER FACTORY COMPONENTS SUCH AS THE FUEL PUMP, FUEL GAUGE SENDER UNIT, EMISSIONS CONNECTIONS, ETC. HOWEVER - THE FUEL GAUGE HAS NEVER WORKED PROPERLY SINCE I PURCHASED THE VAN AND IT GIVES MISLEADING INFORMATION ABOUT THE FUEL LEVEL. IT REGISTERS ONLY 3/4 FULL ON THE DASH WHEN IN FACT THE TANK IS FULL. IF YOU TRY TO ADD ANY MORE FUEL (AS I FOUND OUT WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THE VAN) - IT AFFECTS THE EMISSIONS CONTROLS SEVERELY AND MAKES THE VAN UN-DRIVABLE; IN FACT THE ENGINE WILL STALL UNEXPECTEDLY IN TRAFFIC WHICH IS A SEVERE HAZARD. FURTHER - THE LOW TANK LEVEL IS UNPREDICTABLE SO YOU ARE NEVER SURE WHEN TO REFILL, IF THE FUEL GETS TOO LOW THEN THE ENGINE CAN ALSO STOP IN TRAFFIC. THE COMPANY IS WELL AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM BUT CANNOT FIX IT. I HAVE HAD IT TO THE ORIGINAL SELLING DEALERSHIP (JAY HATFIELD MOBILITY IN LEE'S SUMMIT MISSOURI) SEVERAL TIMES AS REVABILITY SAID THE REPAIRS WERE COVERED UNDER THEIR MANUFACTURES WARRANTY. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN UNABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM AND HAS SINCE NOT RENEWED THEIR CONTRACT WITH REVABILITY. SO THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS AND THE POWERTRAIN 'CHECK ENGINE' LIGHT COMES ON PERIODICALLY - WHICH JAY HATFIELD MOBILITY SAID THEY HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH AND WOULD NOT DO ANY FURTHER REPAIRS. MY WIFE IS HANDICAPPED AND IN DAILY REHAB TREATMENT - SO I NEED THIS VAN EVERY DAY AND NEED IT FIXED PROPERLY - HOWEVER THE VAN CONVERSION MANUFACTURER HAS NO INSTRUCTIONS OR INFORMATION THAT THEY CAN SUPPLY FOR A CORRECT REPAIR. I BELIEVE THAT REVABILITY / VMI SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING THIS PROBLEM PROPERLY OR REPLACING THIS VAN AS IT IS / CAN BE A SAFETY HAZARD TO OPERATE WITHOUT A PROPERLY FUNCTIONING FUEL GAUGE.
TWO ISSUES. VEHICLE RANDOMLY HARD SHIFTS. SLIDING PASSENGER DOORS WILL RE OPEN AFTER CLOSING

I JUST USE THE VAN TO TAKE MY KIDS TO SCHOOL AND GO HOME DO GROCERY AND VISIT THE FAMILY.
DROVE TOP SPEED OF 20 MPH BECAUSE I WAS ON BASE. CAME TO STOP AT STOP SIGN TO TURN ONTO MARYLAND AVE TO EXIT THE BASE. STARTED TO ACCELERATE TO TURN LEFT, MID TURN, VAN SHUT OFF/DIED, ERROR MESSAGE OF PUT CAR INTO PARK AND THEN VEHICLE SPEED TOO HIGH(SOMETHING ALONG THOSE LINES) FLASHED. WOULDN'T TURN BACK ON FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS. NOTE: 2 CHILDREN AS PASSENGERS AT THE TIME BATTERY REPLACED NOV 2019-DUE TO SAME PROBLEM/ELECTRICAL ISSUES TRANSMISSION REPLACED JAN 2020 DUE TO ONGOING ISSUE (WARRANTY COVERED)
I WAS DRIVING WHEN MY CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED AND DISPLAYED A MESSAGE TO SHIFT TO START. MY GEAR SHIFT LOCKED AND I HAD TO RESTART THE CAR TO DRIVE.
STRUTS HAVE FAILED AND BEEN REPAIRED TWICE ON DRIVER AND PASSENGER FRONT. STRUTS ARE MAKING NOISE WHEN MOVING AT SPEEDS OF 0-35 FOR A THIRD TIME WHICH TYPICALLY INDICATES THEY ARE FAILING AGAIN.
2017 PACIFICA STARTED TO MAKE BUZZING SOUNDS 2 WEEKS AGO. NOISE HAPPENS WHEN EITHER SLIDING DOOR ARE OPENED WHEN VAN IS IN PARK..
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2017 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SAFFORD CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM FIAT OF SPRINGFIELD, 7611 LOISDALE RD, SPRINGFIELD, VA 22150, FOR A ROUTINE REPAIR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HIS WIFE STARTED THE VEHICLE TO DRIVE AND TOOK HER FOOT OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED AND CRASHED INTO A POLE AND KNOCKED OVER THE POLE AND CRASHED INTO A WALL BEHIND THE POLE. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED BRUISING FROM THE SEAT BELT AND AIR BAG BUT NO SERIOUS INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A LOCAL DEALER WHERE IT REMAINED BUT WAS NOT YET DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT HIS WIFE ATTEMPTED TO APPLY THE BRAKE PEDAL BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO SLOW THE VEHICLE DOWN. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE ENTIRE FRONT END WAS DAMAGED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 17,196.
WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE VIOLENTLY JERKS DURING THE SHIFTING OF GEARS FOR THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN REPORTED BY NUMEROUS OWNERS OF THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL. I HAVE CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR BUT THEY CLAIMED THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE.
VEHICLES ELECTRONICS DON'T TURN OFF WHEN CAR IS OFF AND DOOR OPENS, I HAVE HAD TO TURN OFF ACCESSORY BATTERY 3 TIMES SINCE 2018 AND THIS KILLED THE REGULAR BATTERY AS WELL.
PURCHASED THE VEHCILE IN 2018 ELECTRIC BRAKE VACUUM PUMP WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING NO ACCIDENT IN 2019. ~ MILEAGE 55,000 EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERED. AIR CONDITIONING COMPRESSOR PUMP OUT AT 70K MILES. DECEMBER 2020. DRIVING, AND I HEARD THE AIR MAKE A NOISE AND REALIZED IT WAS WARM AIR. AXLE SHAFT OUT AT 68K MILES OCTOBER 2020. CAUSING STRUTS TO GO BAD AND LEAK. PARTS ON BACKORDER. CAR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION IS ROUGH CHANGING GEARS. TOLD I NEED FUEL INJECTORS CLEANED. MY COST WAS OVER $400. I HAD IT DONE AT ANOTHER SERVICE PROVIDER, NO CHANGE. ADVISED BY DEALER THEY NEEDED TO CLEAN FUEL INJECTIONS REPLACED 3 BATTERIES IN 3 YEARS. TWICE THE VEHICLE DIED WILE DRIVING CAUSING THE POWER STEERING A BRAKES TO TIGHTEN UP. MOPAR BATTERY BOUGHT AND INSTALED FROM DEALERSHIP. VENGINESMELL LIKE ANIT-FREEZE - DEALERSHIP SADVISED IT PAST TEST AND NO ISSUES

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, EXCESSIVE FORCE WAS NEEDED TO ADJUST THE POWER STEERING AFTER MAKING RIGHT TURN, WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT SPOKE TO LENOIR CITY CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (1206 E BROADWAY ST, LENOIR CITY, TN 37772) WHERE SHE WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON HER VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS ALSO NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED THE SAME INFORMATION AS THE DEALER. THE CONTACT WAS THEN REFERRED TO NHTSA FOR ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 90,000.
I took my vehicle to the Chrysler dealership to have it check out because I noticed a hard shift when taking off when accelerating in first gear but they told me they couldn’t duplicate the issues because their wasn’t a check engine light on I’ve explained to them what I was feeling so they had me drive the vehicle with one of their technician and he seen exactly what I was talking about but they did nothing they told me when the check engine light come on in there a code they can read then they can see about fixing it this was back in 2020 and 2021 now the vehicle is starting to feel like it slipping worse in first gear and it has this suction noise in when is does shift hard it throws you and the passengers forward and the van only has 42,000 miles on it
STALLS FOR A SECOND DURING ACCELERATING VERY UNSAFE ON THE ROAD AND IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC.
THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS WEEK AND THIRD TIME OVERALL WHILE SITTING AT A RED LIGHT (THE AUTO START/STOP IS TURNED OFF) MY VEHICLE ENGINE COMPLETELY TURNED OFF. I GOT A MESSAGE ON THE DASH THAT SAID TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN PARK TO START THE ENGINE AGAIN. II LOSE ALL POWER STEERING, BRAKES ARE STIFF AND CANNOT DO ANYTHING, IT IS COMPLETELY OFF. L HAVE BEEN SO FORTUNATE EACH TIME IT HAPPENED TO HAVE BEEN STOPPED, AS I HAD MY KIDS IN THE CAR THE SECOND TIME AND THE LIGHT HAD CHANGED GREEN BUT I COULD NOT GO.
THE CRUISE CONTROL DOWNSHIFTS THE TRANSMISSION WHILE DESCENDING HILLS IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN THE DESIRED SPEED. BUT PRIOR TO DOWNSHIFTING THE ENGINE WILL ACCELERATE 5-10MPH DEPENDING UPON THE INITIAL SPEED AND THE GRADE OF THE HILL. WHILE NOT AN ISSUE ON A STRAIGHT ROAD, IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE ON A 70 MPH HWY WITH A 50 MPH CURVE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL, ESPECIALLY WHEN TRACTION IS REDUCED, OFTEN THE CASE ON HWY 37 BETWEEN LIBBY & EUREKA MT. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR INTO THE DEALER TWICE CONCERNING THIS ISSUE SINCE IT IS 'NORMAL' FOR THIS CAR, IE, IT DOES THE SAME THING ON EVERY HILL WHILE CRUISE CONTROL IS ENGAGED. THEY SAID IT'S NORMAL FOR THIS CAR ' NOTHING TO BE DONE. THE LAST TIME I TOOK IT IN WAS 9/24/2020 AT WHICH TIME THEY GAVE ME A COPY OF A STAR CASE REPORT (ATTACHED). THIS REPORT RECOMMENDS CRUISE NOT BE USED IN HILLY AREAS. WHILE THEY NOTE THAT SPEED MAY INCREASE, NOT THAT IT WILL INCREASE, THEY DON'T MENTION THE INCREASE IS NOT JUST DUE TO GRAVITY BUT ACTUAL ACCELERATION. NOR HAVE I SEEN ANY MENTION OF THIS ISSUE IN THE USERS' MANUAL. 2017 WAS THE FIRST YEAR OF PRODUCTION FOR THE PACIFICA, BUT YOU WILL NOTE THE STAR IS DATED 2012 SO OTHER MODELS MUST ALSO BE SIMILARLY AFFECTED. WE RECENTLY BOUGHT A 2020 RAM 1500 AND THE CRUISE CONTROL WORKS PERFECTLY IN IT, SO I KNOW CHRYSLER KNOWS HOW TO MAKE A SAFE & EFFECTIVE SPEED CONTROL UNIT.
THE POWER STEERING ASSIST IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY, THE CAR PULLS TO THE RIGHT AND IT'S HARD TO GET IT BACK ON THE ROAD, THERE IS A RECALL V053 TO ADDRESS A POWER STEERING ISSUE, BUT THE DEALER STATES THAT RECALL IS NOT CAUSING MY PROBLEM AND TO FIX THE ISSUE WILL COST $3400.00. HOW DO I KNOW IF THE RECALL IS THE PROBLEM OR TRONCALLI'S DIAGNOSTIC TEST RESULTS?
I BELIEVE THAT MY SITUATION IS IDENTICAL TO AN ISSUE THAT CHRYSLER HAS ALREADY RECALLED, BUT I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE AT THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP TODAY THAT MY CAR IS NOT INCLUDED IN THAT RECALL. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, HAD TO STOP AT A STOP LIGHT, LIGHT WENT GREEN I MOVED FORWARD AT 10ISH MPH TO TAKE A RIGHT HAND TURN, AS I WAS TURNING MY MINIVAN LOST ALL POWER. THE CAR LITERALLY SHUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I TRIED TO PULL OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND BREAK. THE CAR SYSTEM INDICATED TO ME TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTART THE CAR. I DID SO, WHEN ATTEMPTING TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON THE CAR STUTTERED A BIT BUT THEN SUCCESSFULLY TURNED ON. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE HOME. I DROVE THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP THIS MORNING. I EXPRESSED EXTREME CONCEWRN THAT THIS ISSUE WAS THE SAME AS THE ONE THAT WAS IN THE NEWS ABOUT MANY 2017 CHRYSLER PACIFICAS. THEY DID NOT EVEN SEEM TO BE AWARE OF THE RECALL WHICH SEEMED SHOCKING GIVEN THE ISSUE. AND WHEN I PRESSED THEY SAID SINCE THEY COULDN'T REPLICATE THE ISSUE AND IT WAS NOT A CAR IDENTIFIED IN THE RECALL THAT THERE WAS NOT MUCH THEY COULD DO. I ESCALATED THE ISSUE TO THE MANAGER AND AM WAITING TO HEAR BACK. I AM VERY NERVOUS ABOUT DRIVING THE CAR NOW, I HAD MY 3 YOUNG CHILDREN IN THE CAR WHEN THE ISSUE OCCURRED. IF THEY REFUCE TO FIX IT BASED ON MY DISCUSSION WITH THEM I AM NOT SURE WHAT MY NEXT STEPS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DAVE DENNIS CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (4232 COLONEL GLENN HWY, DAYTON, OH 45431) HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,000.

TRANSMISSION IS FAULTY; WILL OFTEN TIMES STRUGGLE TO ACCELERATE, RESULTING IN A LAG OFF THE START. ALSO EXPERIENCE EXTREMELY HARD SHIFTING DURING ACCELERATION. VEHICLE HAS BEEN TO THE SHOP MULTIPLE TIMES, YET EACH TIME THEY "AREN'T ABLE TO REPLICATE" THE ISSUE; DEALERSHIP ADVISED CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE, BUT THERE IS NO FIX, SO THEY SIMPLY GIVE BACK A DEFECTIVE VEHICLE. THIS ISN'T SAFE FOR MY FAMILY AND IS UNACCEPTABLE; APART FROM THE POWER TRAIN, THERE ARE FURTHER A/C, ELECTRICAL, AND CRAFTSMANSHIP ISSUES, ALL OF WHICH ARE NOW OUT OF WARRANTY, LEAVING US STUCK WITH AN UNRELIABLE & UNSAFE VEHICLE.
WHILE DRIVING ON A 50MPH 4 LANE ROAD WITH MY TWO CHILDREN 3 & 5, I DECELERATED TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN AND WITHIN 3 SECONDS THE CAR SPUTTERED TO A HALT WITH ALL POWER CUTTING OFF. IN A PANIC, I TRIED TO GET THE CAR STARTED AGAIN BUT IT DID NOT RESPOND TO THE IGNITION. I GOT OUT OF THE CAR TO GET MY KIDS OUT OF THE BACK SEAT AND BRING THEM TO SAFETY. I MANUALLY OPENED THE REAR DRIVER SIDE DOOR AND AFTER DOING SO, THE POWER CAME BACK ON TO THE CAR. I QUICKLY GOT BACK IN AND DROVE HOME WITHOUT INCIDENT. WE HAVE SINCE SEARCHED THE VIN FOR RECALLS TO FIND THAT FOR WHATEVER REASON, MY VIN DID NOT QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL INVOLVED IN 2017 CHRYSLER PACIFICAS WITH THIS SAME EXACT PROBLEM OCCURRING. I BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR A DIAGNOSTIC, AND OF COURSE THEY COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG NOR "REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM", OR GIVE US ANY REASSURANCE THAT THIS WOULDN'T HAPPEN AGAIN.
ELECTRIC PANEL FRIED. DRIVING ALL OF A SUDDEN ON HIGHWAY MY POWER STEERING LIGHT CAME ON JERKED ME TO THE RIGHT VERY HARD AND THE IN LANE LIGHT POP ON THAT'S TURNED OFF IN MY VAN. AND ALL OF A SUDDEN JERKED ME EXTREMLY TO THE LEFT. GOOD THING TRAFFIC WASN'T GOING TO FAST I WOULD OF BEEN DEAD. WHEN EVER YOU WOULD ACCELERATE IT WOULD DO IT AGAIN. I WAS TRYING TO GET IN THE SLOW LANE TO PULL OVER. FIGURE THE CAR NEEDED TO BE TURNED OFF AND REBOOT COMPUTER. THAT DIDN'T HELP AS IT PROCEEDED TO DO IT. SO GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY. CAR ONLY HAS LITTLE OVER 28,000 MILE S IN IT.
WHILE DRIVING THE STEERING WHEEL WILL STICK LIKE THE POWER STEERING IS FAILING. IT IS MOST NOTICEABLE WHEN ON THE HIGHWAY. IF YOU TURN SLIGHTLY TO THE RIGHT, THE STEERING WHEEL WILL THEN STICK AND THEN YOU HAVE TO GIVE A JERK TO THE LEFT TO GET IT BACK TO CENTER. IT FEELS LIKE THE POWER STEERING IS GOING OUT. I SEE THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON THE VAN FOR THE POWER STEERING ON SOME MODELS BUT WHEN I CHECKED THE VIN ON MINE IT SAID IT WASN'T INCLUDED. I'M CONCERNED THAT MY VEHICLE IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE BUT WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.
I JUST BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE 6 MONTHS AGO WITH 18K MILES ON IT. IT IS A 2017, BUT THE 3 YEAR OR 36K MILES WARRANTY RAN OUT IN 2019 BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS MADE IN 2016 EVEN THOUGH THE MODEL WAS 2017. I HAVE 27K MILES ON IT AND ALREADY HAVE TO PAY AN ALMOST $700 REPAIR ON THE FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR. I WAS TOLD MY VAN COULD SHUT DOWN IF I DIDN'T FIX IT. CALLED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE, TOLD THEM PARENTS WARNED ME TO GO WITH A TOYOTA AND THE VAN WAS TECHNICALLY NOT EVEN 3 YEARS OLD AND UNDER 36K MILES AND THEY SAID THEY COULD DO NOTHING FOR ME. REALLY WANTED TO BUY US MADE, BUT PRETTY TURNED OFF BY CHRYLSER TO HAVE TO PAY A REPAIR THIS HIGH IN WITH VERY LITTLE MILEAGE. I NOTICED THE ISSUE WHEN MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VAN TOOK A WHILE TO GET GOING WHEN I PRESSED ON THE GAS.
THE TRANSMISSION REPEATEDLY HESITATES AND SHIFTS ABRUPTLY AROUND 17 MPH. OFTEN NOTICED IN PARKING LOTS. TOYOTA DID SEVERAL REPAIRS TO NO AVAIL. TRADED IT IN BECAUSE THE COULDN'T FIX IT.
8/31/20-DRIVING ON OUR VACATION FROM FL TO PA ON I-95, I HAD TO EXIT THE INTERSTATE IN FLORENCE SC WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO VIBRATE; CAR WOBBLED AT SLOW SPEED. THE MECHANIC AT THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP SAID A BELT HAD SEPARATED FROM THE LEFT FRONT TIRE (MILEAGE 21,153). 9/8/20-ON MY WAY HOME FROM PA, THE LEFT REAR TIRE HAD TO BE REPLACED (AGAIN, BELT SEPARATION) PER THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN WILLIAMSBURG (MILEAGE 22,369). 9/13/20-ON THE WAY FROM VA TO DAYTONA BEACH, THE RIGHT REAR TIRE WENT (MILEAGE 23,153). THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN DAYTONA BCH DID NOT CARRY THE NEXEN TIRE, SO I WENT TO DISCOUNT TIRE STORE AND THEY REPLACED IT WITH A DIFFERENT BRAND. ACCORDING TO INFO I FOUND ON THE INTERNET, CHRYSLER USED NEXEN N'PRIZRH7A TIRES ON THE 2017 PACIFICA. THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES FOR TIRES; HOWEVER, THIS COULD BE A GRAVE DANGER IF YOU DO A LOT OF HIGHWAY DRIVING. A BLOWOUT COULD BE DISASTROUS. OTHER DRIVERS OF THE 2017 PACIFICA SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THIS ISSUE.
USED CAR FOR A HOUR OR TWO WENT HOME FOR 2 HOURS AND WENT OUT TO USE THE CAR AGAIN AND THE VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SEEMS TO HAVE A SHORT AND THE CAR HAS NO POWER WHAT SO EVER. RECENTLY HAD INTERMITTENT ELECTRIC ISSUES THE THE DRIVERS ELECTRIC SEAT NOT WORKING AND THEN WORKING AGAIN.
ACCELERATING FROM STOP. VEHICLE WILL STALL/LOOSE SYNCHRONIZATION BETWEEN ENGINE POWER/TRANSMISSION. MULTIPLE EVENTS FROM BOTH STRAIGHT/TURNING SITUATIONS. FOLLOWING LOSE OF ACCELERATION, TRANSMISSION SLAMS BACK INTO ACCELERATING CAUSING LOSS OF CONTROL. STEERING IS AFFECTED DURING EVENT(S).
WHILE TURNING INTO A PARKING LOT THE VEHICLE STALLED OUT
THE VAN LOST CONTROL ON ITS OWN AND WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO BREAK WHATSOEVER, UNTIL I GOT INTO A VERY DANGEROUS ACCIDENT. I WAS TOLD BY FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR, BUT THERE CERTAINLY WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE BREAKS. THERE WAS NO ISSUE WITH MY DRIVING, NOR WAS THERE ANY ISSUE WITH THE WEATHER. I AM A SEASONED DRIVER OF OVER 20+ YEARS, AND THE WEATHER THE DAY OF THE ACCIDENT WAS COMPLETELY SUNNY AND IT WAS BRIGHT DAYLIGHT OUTSIDE. I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT AHEAD ON A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD STREET. THIS SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THE VAST NUMBER OF SIMILAR COMPLAINTS REGARDING BREAKS AND VEHICLE SAFETY FOR THIS TYPE OF CAR.*DT*JB
WHEN ACCELERATING AT LOW SPEEDS THE VAN SHIFTS HARD INTO GEAR AND WILL NOT CONTINUE TO ACCELERATE EVEN THOUGH THE GAS PEDAL IS PRESSED. IF I DO NOT LET OFF THE GAS WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE VAN WILL LUNGE FORWARD. THIS HAPPENS IN ALL CONDITIONS AND ON ALL ROAD TYPES. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT'S FINE. I CAN NOT REPLICATE THIS ON DEMAND.

when driving on highways with cruise on for a amount of time. when turn off and when getting off the road. will stop at light and when you start to drive the van will act like it running out of gas will jerk and stop but will still be running almost been hit many times. talked to dealership they cant rep it doing it. No we are getting shifter need service and check engine light when driving and the dash will get light all over it windows will go down when I don't put them down parking break will light up and slow the van down and a big drag on the van .been to dealership 2 time still cant see when I get it. We have now put 2 new batters in the van went in with 12.6 volt next morning down to 12.46 volts. only have 79,000 mile on it.
I HAVE ENCOUNTERED A ROUGH / HARD TRANSMISSION SHIFT CONDITION, FROM A STANDING START, PRIMARILY WHEN THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS FROM 2ND TO 3RD. THIS CONDITION IS CONSISTENT WITH CHRYSLER CASE NUMBER S2021000005. I HAVE NOTICED THAT JUST PRIOR TO THE HARD SHIFTING THAT THE ENGINE RPM GOES UP TO APPROXIMATELY 3,000 RPM AND THEN SHIFTS HARD INTO 3RD GEAR. ADDITIONALLY, THE HARD SHIFT CONDITION SEEMS TO BE MORE PREVALENT WHEN THE ACCELERATION OCCURS WHILE TURNING RIGHT. I HAD MY VEHICLE SERVICED AT MY LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER (NORTHTOWN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM) WHO (1) REPROGRAMMED THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND (2) PERFORMED A QUICK LEARN ON THE TRANSMISSION. THIS IS CONSISTENT WITH CHRYSLER'S SERVICE RECOMMENDATION UNDER THE ABOVE MENTIONED CASE NUMBER FOR THIS CONDITION. HOWEVER, CHRYSLER INDICATES THAT THIS SERVICE MAY NOT FULLY RESOLVE THE ISSUE AND ANOTHER QUICK LEARN MAY BE REQUIRED IN THE FUTURE. MY CONCERN IS TWO-FOLD. FIRST, WHAT DAMAGE IS BEING DONE TO MY VEHICLE'S POWER TRAIN AS A RESULT OF THIS HARD TRANSMISSION SHIFT AND EXTREME RPM CONDITION PRIOR TO ENCOUNTERING THE HARD SHIFT CONDITION. SECOND, CHRYSLER INDICATES THAT THEY ARE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND ARE DEVELOPING A RESOLUTION - WHEN MIGHT THAT FULL RESOLUTION BE AVAILABLE?

CAR STALLS ON FREEWAY AND WILL NOT ACCELERATE OVER 45 MPH. CAR JERKS AND PUSHES FORWARD WHEN TURNING AND COMING FROM A STOP.
AS I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON A BUSY ROAD IT STARTED TO STUTTER AND SHUT DOWN. I LOST STEERING WHEEL FUNCTION AS WELL AS GAS PEDAL FUNCTION. THE CONTROL PANEL INSTRUCTED ME TO PLACE MY CAR IN PARK TO BE ABLE TO RESTART IT.
MULTIPLE TIMES OUR 2017 CHRYSLER PACIFICA HAS REVVED UP, THEN STALLED. THE SCREEN TELLS THE DRIVER TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK. I DID, THEN WAS ABLE TO PUT IT IN DRIVE AGAIN. SOMETIMES IT COMPLETELY STALLS, OTHER TIMES THE RPM INCREASES THEN THE CAR DECELERATES AND I CANNOT DRIVE OVER 20 MPH. THIS HAS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING SLOWLY AT AN INTERSECTION AS WELL AS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY.
