TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN, A VEHICLE WAS T-BONED BY WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION WHICH PROPELLED THE VEHICLE INTO THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE HEAD ON. THE AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY UPON IMPACT. THE CONTACT AS WELL AS THE OTHER DRIVERS AND PASSENGERS WERE CHECKED OUT AT THE SCENE BY PARAMEDICS AND WERE TREATED FOR SCRAPES AND BRUISES. THE CONTACT LATER SOUGHT TREATMENT AT AN URGENT CARE FACILITY FOR PAIN TO HER LOWER BACK AND BOTH SHOULDER AREAS. A POLICE WAS FILED AT SCENE. THE CONTACT AND DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE THAT WAS PROPELLED INTO THE CONTACT BOTH LIVED NEAR THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT AND WERE ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE TO THEIR RESPECTIVE HOMES. THE OTHER DRIVER THAT CAUSED THE ACCIDENT HAD TO HAVE THEIR VEHICLE TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. AN ADJUSTER WAS CALLED TO THE CONTACT'S HOME TO ASSESS THE DAMAGE AND THE VEHICLE REMAINED IN THE POSSESSION OF THE CONTACT. THE MANUFACTURER HAD YET TO BE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD YET TO BE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 150,000.

RECENTLY I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE WINDSHIELD WASHER FLUID HAS BEEN LEAKING INTO THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG COMPARTMENT. WHEN I TRY TO WASH THE BACK WINDOW IT JUST POURS OUT OF THE AIR BAG COMPARTMENT.

VEHICLE INVOVED IN ACCIDENT ON FWY, COLLISION DID OVER $6500 IN DAMAGE. BUT THE AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED. FROM LOOKING THRU INTERNET I SEE THAT PROBS WITH THE TIPM CAN CAUSE AIRBAGS NOT TO DEPLOY WHEN NEEDED. HAVE HAD OTHER ISSUES WITH TIPM SUCH AS VEH NOT STARTING ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS.
REPORT ON BEHALF OF CUSTOMER VEHICLE. CUSTOMER WAS INVOLVED IN A COLLISION TO THE REAR OF HER 2011 TOWN AND COUNTRY. MODERATE SPEED COLLISION, DAMAGE TO BUMPER AND REAR BODY PANEL. THE VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH ACTIVE RESTRAINT HEADREST SYSTEM DESIGNED TO DEPLOY FORWARD AND UPWARD TO PREVENT INJURY DUE TO OCCUPANT HEAD MOVING BACKWARDS IN REAR COLLISION. ACTIVE RESTRAINT SYSTEM FAILED TO DEPLOY IN THE COLLISION; HOWEVER, APPROXIMATELY TEN DAYS LATER WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE DURING NORMAL CONDITIONS, THE HEADRESTS DEPLOYED, STRIKING THE DRIVER IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. DRIVER DID NOT LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. *TR

HAD MINOR FRONTAL IMPACT AND NO AIR BAGS WERE DEPLOYED BUT MY VAN BURST INTO FLAMES/FIRE ON THE RIGHT(PASSENGER) SIDE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE MINOR IMPACT.WE SAW RED LIQUID RUNNING DOWN THE CURB AS WE GOT OUT OF THE BURNING VAN. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STOPPED AT A TRAFFIC SIGNAL, SHE NOTICED THAT THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE SEAT BELT WAS DETACHED FROM THE SIDE PILLAR, CAUSING THE CHILD SEAT TO TOPPLE OVER INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE VEHICLE. SIMULTANEOUSLY, THE REAR SLIDING DOOR OPENED INDEPENDENTLY. THE REAR SLIDING DOOR FAILURE RECURRED SEVERAL TIMES WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT A SYSTEM UPDATE WOULD NEED TO BE PERFORMED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 10,000.

THE AIR BAG LIGHT INDICATED THAT THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED, BUT THEY DID NOT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE BUT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED FOR THE AIR BAG FAILURE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SEAT BELT FAILED DURING THE CRASH, ALLOWING THE CHILD SEAT THAT WAS BEING RESTRAINED TO DETACH FROM THE SEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE SHOULDER STRAP FOR THE SEAT BELTS WOULD LIE ON THE PASSENGER'S ARMS AND WAS LOW ACROSS THE CHEST AREA. THE SHOULDER STRAP WAS TOO FAR FORWARD AND COULD NOT BE USED TO RESTRAIN CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE. IN ADDITION, THE SEAT BELT WOULD NOT LOCK. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE SEAT BELTS WERE DESIGN IN THAT MANNER AND COULD NOT BE CHANGED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 20,000.
On 4/9/12 I was involved in a serious accident that resulted in my daughter obtaining a severe traumatic brain. She was in critical condition and is now severely disabled. The back curtain airbags did not protect her and did not appear to work properly. I believe that the vehicle was not properly examined after the accident. The car was a rental vehicle and my family was out of state on vacation. Due to the severe injury of my daughter I believe that the airbags failed.

THE FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BELT ALERT SYSTEM DOES NOT FUNCTION ON MY NEW 2011 CHRYSLER TOWN AND COUNTRY LIMITED. I HADN'T NOTICED THIS FACT UNTIL A PASSENGER COMMENTED IN SURPRISE THAT HER SEAT BELT WAS NOT FASTENED. THIS WAS AT THE END OF A DRIVE ACROSS TOWN. I CONTACTED THE DEALER IMMEDIATELY, AND THE SERVICE MANGER INFORMED ME THAT CHRYSLER FOUND IN MANUFACTURING THAT THIS PASSENGER SEAT BELT ALERT DID NOT WORK CORRECTLY, SO THEY DISABLED IT IN SOFTWARE. HE FURTHER SAID THAT IF OR WHEN A SOFTWARE UPDATE BECOMES AVAILABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM, I WOULD BE INFORMED OF THE FIX. *TR
