2015 DODGE DART. THE CONSUMER STATED UPON PURCHASE THERE WAS ONLY ONE KEY FOB PROVIDED, PROBLEMS WITH THE WIPER MOTOR, AND FRONT STRUTS WENT OUT AFTER 2 WEEKS OF PURCHASE.
I have had so many problems with this vehicle. I have had to replace two coils, had the air conditioner fixed, had to replace my rear shocks, which caused me to have to buy two new rear tires, the windshield wiper motor was replaced, my car was burning oil until I got a recall for that. Now my blower fan for the heater is not working, I only have 66000, miles on this car. All these issues could really cause dangerous problems. When my 1st coil went out I couldn't get my car restarted in the middle of town. When the 2nd coil went out my car would barely move and this happened before I got the recall for the engine oil problem. Now I will have to repair the blower fan because the defroster and heat aren't working.
I had to replace my engine, my transmission is slipping and not shifting gears properly. It has been doing it for almost 2 years now. The suspensions are horrible
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE DART. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A RATTLING NOISE EMERGING FROM THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED FOR 20,000 MILES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000.
SUSPENSION IS TOO EASILY ADJUSTED. THE LITTLEST BUMP WILL THROW OUT ALIGNMENT AND HAVE THE RECEIPTS TO PROVE. WHEELS BEND EASILY, SPECIFICALLY 18 INCH RIMS. ENGINE USED TOO MUCH OIL AND LEAVES YOUR CAR TO SHUT OFF AUTOMATICALLY WHICH IS ADDED AS THE ISSUE IS KNOW TO HAPPEN. I AM 2,500 MILES AWAY FROM AN OIL CHANGE AND I NEED TO ADD OIL BECAUSE THE CAR USES SO MUCH. THE ISSUE IS KNOW BY DODGE AND ONLINE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT IT.
ON MARCH 31, 2017, I HIT A CURB WITH THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT TIRE OF MY VEHICLE DAMAGING PARTS OF THE SUSPENSION, INCLUDING THE CONTROL ARM, AS WELL AS THE BODY. AT THE TIME, I ASSUMED THAT WHEN I HIT THE CURB, MY WHEEL WAS TURNED, WHICH CAUSED THE DAMAGE TO THE SUSPENSION. CAR WAS REPAIRED. AT TIMES THE VEHICLE WOULD MAKE A CLUNKING NOISE WHILE TURNING LEFT OR WHEN ACCELERATING. ALSO AT TIMES, AT HIGHWAY SPEED, THE VEHICLE WOULD VIBRATE. ON AUGUST 17, 2017, I WAS STOPPED TO YIELD FOR A VEHICLE CROSSING A ONE LANE BRIDGE. THIS BRIDGE WAS FLAT AND SMOOTH, WITH A CURVE AROUND TO THE LEFT IN MY DIRECTION OF TRAVEL. I STARTED MOVING TO GO OVER THE BRIDGE AND WAS TRAVELING BETWEEN 5-10 M.P.H., AS I APPROACHED THE LEFT CURVE, I STARTED TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL SLIGHTLY LEFT IN ANTICIPATION OF THE CURVE. THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME NON RESPONSIVE AND I WAS UNABLE TO STEER MY VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE KEPT GOING LEFT, CAUSING ME TO IMPACT A CURB AND GUARD RAIL, AGAIN ON THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT. THE BODY SHOP SAID I HAD TO HAVE HIT SOMETHING TO SNAP THE BRAND NEW CONTROL ARM. I HIT NOTHING PRIOR TO IMPACT WITH THE CURB AND GUARD RAIL. THERE IS MINIMAL BODY DAMAGE BUT THE CONTROL ARM IS SNAPPED. I AM WONDERING IF THERE IS SOME TYPE OF POSSIBLE DEFECT WITH THE CONTROL ARM THAT WOULD CAUSE IT TO FRACTURE AND SNAP, LEADING TO MY LOSS OF STEERING CONTROL AND COLLISION. I HAVE READ WHERE DEFECTIVE CONTROL ARMS HAVE BEEN NOTED ON OTHER DODGE VEHICLES.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE CAR STARTED SHAKING WHEN I REACHED 65 MPH. WHEN I GOT TO 70 MPH, IT STOPPED I THOUGHT I WAS OKAY BUT I WASN'T. THE TIRE SEPARATED FROM THE AXLE AND THE LOWER CONTROL ARM FELL OFF CAUSING ME TO CRASH. I RAN INTO A GUARDRAIL AND IF IT WASN'T THERE, THE CAR WOULDN'T HAVE STOPPED AND I COULD POSSIBLY BE DEAD. UPON IMPACT, THE AIR BAGS DIDN'T DEPLOY EITHER. THIS IS LIFE THREATENING. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THIS VEHICLE!!! THIS ISN'T THE FIRST TIME THE CONTROL ARM FELL OFF. IT FELL OFF 3 OTHER TIMES TO. I AM FED UP WITH CHRYSLER. THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS VEHICLE. IT IS A CASKET ON WHEELS. IT IS A DEATH TRAP AND THE NEXT TIME SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS, THE PERSON MIGHT NOT LIVE TO TELL THE STORY. THE RIGHT LOWER CONTROL ARM HAS BROKEN OFF FOR THE SECOND TIME AS I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT
I BOUGHT A BRAND NEW 2015 DODGE DART AND 64 DAYS AFTER PURCHASING THE LOWER CONTROL ARM BROKE OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING DOWN THE FREEWAY CAUSING THE WHEEL TO GET LODGED INTO THE FENDER AND JAM THE DOOR. CHRYSLER REFUSES TO COVER THE REPAIRS NOR WILL THEY ALLOW THE MANUFACTURES WARRANTY TO COVER THE REPAIRS. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A CAR FOR 5 MONTHS DURING THIS TIME I HAVE LOST MY JOB HAD TO RELOCATE MY FAMILY TO A SMALLER HOME AND NOW HAVE A CREDIT SCORE OF 394 WHEN 6 MONTHS AGO IT WAS A 720. CHRYSLER NEEDS TO BE STOPPED BECAUSE THEY ARE CARELESS INDIVIDUALS WHO DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE WELL BEING OF ITS CONSUMERS. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME A CONTROL ARM HAS BROKEN AND IT WILL NOT BE THE LAST TIME IF SOMETHING ISN'T DONE ABOUT IT THE NEXT PERSON MAY NOT LIVE TO TELL THEIR STORY AND THAT IS VERY SAD TO EVEN IMAGINE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE DART. WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO PULL TO THE RIGHT WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DETERMINED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO ANOTHER DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE LOWER CONTROL ARM FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,000.
