AS WE WERE DRIVING ON A RESIDENTIAL SIDE STREET, GOING ABOUT 25MPH, COMING UP A SLIGHT INCLINE, THE CAR STOPPED ACCELERATING. WE WERE ABLE TO GET IT TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. WE TURNED IT OFF AND ON AND NOTHING HAPPENED. ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES LATER THE ENGINE STARTED BUT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. WE WERE ONLY ABLE TO GO ABOUT 2MPH. WE WERE ABLE TO GET IT TO A MECHANICAL SHOP NEARBY. THE NEXT MORNING WHEN THEY PULLED THE VEHICLE IN, THEY EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE. WHEN THE TURNED IT OFF AND BACK ON TO DO MORE TESTS THE CAR WAS WORKING "FINE." THE SHOP INSPECTED IT AND DID NOTE THE POTENTIAL THROTTLE BODY ISSUE BUT AS THE VEHICLE WAS NOW RUNNING IT COULD NOT BE PROPERTY DIAGNOSED. WE HAVE TAKEN IT TO A FORD DEALER AND THE SAME INFORMATION WAS GIVEN TO US. WE HAVE CONFIRMED THROUGH FRIENDS WHO HAVE A 2011 FORD THAT THEY RECEIVED A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION LETTER FROM FORD NOTING THE ISSUE WITH THE THROTTLE BODY AND LOSING ACCELERATION. WHEN FORD CUSTOMER CARE WAS CONTACTED THEY NOTE THE PROBLEM BUT "NOT" WITH OUR YEAR VEHICLE. THE SERVICE PERSONNEL AT FORD HAVE CONFIRMED THIS WILL LIKELY HAPPEN AGAIN AND NOTE IT IS A PROBLEM ON OTHER FORD VEHICLES AS WELL AND WE WERE ADVISED TO "DRIVE" IT INTO FORD THE NEXT TIME IT HAPPENS. THIS IS CLEARLY A PROBLEM ACROSS MANY YEARS OF FORD VEHICLES, YET THEY DO NOT WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT OR PUT OUT A RECALL ON AN ISSUE THAT IS ALL OVER THE INTERNET WITH SIMILAR EXPERIENCES.
BRAKE BOOSTER IS LEAKING, WHEN I PRESS ON THE BRAKES WE CAN HEAR A HISSING NOISE, AND AT TIMES WE HAVE TO APPLY A LOT OF PRESSURE TO GET THE BRAKES TO WORK. WE ONLY HAVE 85,000 MILES ON OUR EDGE, I NOTICED THAT THERE AD BEEN A CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 13N02 WHICH HAS EXPIRED AND DOESN'T INCLUDE MY VEHICLE HOWEVER ALL OF THE SYMPTOMS ARE THE SAME AS WHAT THE LETTER STATES. I CALLED FORD AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO HELP ME. IT SEEMS TO ME THAT IF THE SYMPTOMS ARE IDENTICAL TO THE VEHICLES THAT HAD THE LETTER SENT OUT TO EXTEND THE WARRANTY TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM THAT THEY NEED TO LOOK AT THE FACT THAT THE PROBLEM HAS REACHED MORE VEHICLES THAN THEY THOUGHT IT AFFECTED. HOW MANY FORD EDGES HAVE HAD BRAKE BOOSTER PROBLEMS. THIS SHOULD BE A FULL RECALL TO ENSURE OUR SAFETY.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V384000 (AIR BAGS); HOWEVER, THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIR WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT CALLED A LOCAL DEALER (RUSS MILNE FORD, 2477 HALL RD, MACOMB, MI 48042) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PARTS WERE ON BACKORDER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE UNKNOWN.
TAKATA RECALL WE HAVE A RECALL DATED JUNE 1, 2016 STATING THAT THE FRONT AIRBAG COULD RUPTURE IF THE VEHICLE IS INVOLVED IN A CRASH, RESULTING IN METAL FRAGMENTS STRIKING OCCUPANTS CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR POSSIBLY DEATH. TODAY IS SEPTEMBER 27, 2016 AND THE ISSUE IS STILL NOT RESOLVED, AS WE ARE AWAITING PARTS. I CONTACTED FORD MOTOR COMPANY TODAY AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NOT DEFINITIVE DATE AS TO WHEN THE PARTS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE. I AM DEEPLY CONCERNED THAT IT HAS TAKEN FOUR MONTHS AND THERE IS STILL NO RESOLUTION. I WAS TOLD TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE, ALTHOUGH IT HAS FAULTY AIRBAGS. PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT CAN BE DONE TO EXPEDITE THE REPAIR OF MY CAR.
TWO DAYS AGO BEGAN INTERMITTENT LOSS OF POWER BRAKES. HAD TO NEARLY PUT MY FOOT THROUGH THE FLOOR TO GET MY VEHICLE TO STOP IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. WAS ADVISED BY LOCAL MECHANIC OF CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 13N02 WHICH ACKNOWLEDGES BRAKE BOOSTER PROBLEM IN MY MODEL YEAR EDGE. CONTACTED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DEALER AND WAS TOLD BY BOTH THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS REPAIR. NOW I AM FACING A COSTLY MECHANIC'S BILL (NEARLY $1000) FOR A KNOWN AND DANGEROUS PROBLEM.
TAKATA RECALL. THIS CAR IS UNDER RECALL FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. I DID NOT RECEIVE ANY NOTIFICATION AND FORD IS UNWILLING TO PROVIDE A LOANER. THEY HAVE NO ETA FOR THE REPAIR, BUT ARE GUESSING SECOND QUARTER 2017. SO WE ARE SUPPOSED TO DRIVE THIS CAR UNTIL SECOND QUARTER 2017 WITHOUT USING THE PASSENGER SEAT OR SITTING ANYTHING IN THE PASSENGER SEAT?? REALLY? FORD SHOULD BE PROVIDING FREE LOANERS AND SHOULD HAVE NOTIFIED OUR FAMILY BY MAIL!! SAME AIRBAG WITH A SUBARU WE OWN AND YET SUBARU NOTIFIED US BY MAIL AND PROVIDED A FREE LOANER. THE NTSB SHOULD BE MORE PROTECTIVE OF CONSUMERS WHERE FORD IS CONCERNED.
TAKATA RECALL.. IT'S BEEN OVER A YEAR I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THE PASSENGER FRONTAL AIRBAG REPLACED. I DRIVE SOMEONE EVERY WEEK ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. THIS IS NOT SAFE.
"TAKATA RECALL" BOUGHT THE FORD EDGE FROM A USED CAR DEALERSHIP IN SEPTEMBER 2016, WE WEREN'T NOTIFIED OR AWARE OF THE TAKATA RECALL AT ALL UNTIL MARCH OF THIS YEAR 2018 WHEN WE SAW IT ON THE NEWS. THEY STATED TIL THIS DAY AUGUST 18 2018 THEY HAVE NOT EVEN MANUFACTURE THE PART TO FIX THE TAKATA RECALL ON MY CAR. I SIT HERE WITH UNSAFE CAR AND MAKING CAR PAYMENTS ON SOMETHING I CAN'T USED. I NEED HELP WITH THIS ISSUE. I NO LONGER WANT TO CONTINUE WAITING AFTER 2 YEARS OF THIS MESS. I WANT FORD BUY THE CAR BACK AND GET THIS RESLOVED. I CAN'T CONTINUE TO WAIT TILL IT TIME FOR THEM TO FIX IT. PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS!
"TAKATA RECALL" : I HAVE TRIED SEVERAL TIMES TO SCHEDULE MY VEHICLE BUT I'VE BEEN TOLD THEY ARE NOT IN STOCK. I FEEL THIS HAS NOT BEEN HANDLED IN A TIMELY MANNER. I AM VERY CONCERNED ABOUT THIS RECALL AND WOULD LIKE THIS CORRECTED ASAP AND BEFORE A SERIOUS INCIDENT MAY OCCUR. THANK YOU
BRAKES WERE MAKING NOISE. DEALERSHIP CHARGED ME ~$1,500 TO REPLACE BRAKE BOOSTER AND PARKING BRAKE CONTROL MODULE. HOWEVER, JUST FOUND ISSUANCE 13N02, WHICH EXTENDED WARRANTY FOR SAME PROBLEM FOR OTHER YEARS OF THIS MAKE AND MODEL. PLEASE EXTEND THE RECALL TO INCLUDE 2010 FORD EDGE. THE BRAKES SHOULD NOT FAIL LIKE THIS IN A 6 YEAR OLD CAR WITH ONLY 60K MILES!
TRANSMISSION JUST STOPS SHIFTING WONT ACCELERATE A BUNCH OF WARNING LIGHTS COME ON IN MOTION ON HIGHWAY AND CITY STREETS HAS HAPPENED A BUNCH OF TIMES
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 FORD EDGE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TRUNK DID NOT RESPOND TO THE KEY FOB. WHEN THE KEY FOB WAS PRESSED, THE TRUNK OPENED AND CLOSED REPEATEDLY. ONCE THE TRUNK WAS CLOSED MANUALLY, THE INTERIOR LIGHTING IN THE VEHICLE REMAINED ILLUMINATED, WHICH DRAINED THE BATTERY. THE CONTACT HAD TO TAKE THE CABLES OFF OF THE BATTERY AT THE END OF EACH DAY TO KEEP THE BATTERY FROM DRAINING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 91,967.
TAKATA RECALL I HAVE CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES REGARDING THE AVAILABILITY OF THIS PART. MY SON OWNS A 2011 FORD MUSTANG GT AND HIS VEHICLE ALSO HAS THIS RECALL. WE ARE BEING TOLD WHEN WE WANT TO TRADE THESE VEHICLES IN WE WILL NOT GET BLUE BOOK VALUE DUE TO DEFECT!!!! DEALERS DO NOT WANT TO PUT THESE VEHICLES ON THEIR LOT AND BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SELLING A VEHICLE WITH A DANGEROUS DEFECT. WE ARE STUCK!!!!!!
BRAKE BOOSTER FAILURE WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC. BRAKE PRESSURE WAS TOO MUCH FOR FEMALE DRIVER. FAILURE OCCURRED WHILE EXITING PARKING LOT INTO HIGHWAY TRAFFIC. VEHICLE MISSED THE CUSTOMER SATISFACTION PROGRAM 13N02 BY 7 WORKING DAYS. AFFECTED VEHICLES SHOULD BE EXPANDED.

WE HAVE BEEN CHECKING WITH THE DEALER FOR REPLACEMENT PART DELIVERY FOR OVER A YEARS NOW AND EACH TIME WE INQUIRE ON THE STATUS WE ARE TOLD THAT THEY HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY SHIPMENTS. IN ADDITION, WE HAVE BEEN PLACED ON A LIST BUT NO NOTIFICATION AS EVER BEEN RECEIVED.

DEBTORS RE: TK HOLDINGS INC., ET AL., CHAPTER 11 CASE NO. 17-11375 (BLS) I HAVE BEEN RECEIVING STATEMENTS VIA MAIL ON HOW THERE IS A RECALL ON MY AIR BAG (PASSENGER SIDE) SO I CALLED A LOCAL FORD DEALERSHIP TO REPLACE. THEY HOWEVER, SAID THE PART WAS ON BACK ORDER AND THAT THEY WOULD CONTACT ME ONCE THEY RECEIVED THEM. IT'S NOW BEEN ANOTHER 5-6 MONTHS AND I RECEIVED ANOTHER FORM ON THE RECALL. I CALLED AGAIN AND THE LADY APOLOGIZED AND SAID IT IS IN A BIG BANCRUPCY DISPUTE AND ONCE THEY RECEIVE THEM THEN THEY CAN FIX THEM ALL. ??? IF THIS IS SO DEADLY WHY IS IT TAKING THIS LONG????

IT IS NOW FEBRUARY 15, 2017, AND STILL NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO REPAIR/REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE AIRBAGS (I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH THE DEALERSHIP). NOR COULD THE DEALERSHIP EVEN PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE OF WHEN REPAIR/REPLACEMENT MIGHT OCCUR. I HAVE MADE NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS TO HAVE THIS DONE AND NOT ONCE HAVE THEY BEEN ABLE TO HELP ME. WHILE OTHER DEALERSHIPS HAVE REPLACED THE AIRBAG IN THEIR CARS.
