The rear backup camera will periodically fail and not show what is behind the vehicle while backing up. The backup camera monitor will receive a message that states contact the dealer for repair. This is similar to the same recall notice I received for my 2020 Ford Mustang GT, yet I have never received notification of a recall for the 2015 Ford Mustang GT. I reported this same issue to my Ford Dealer when I purchased my 2020 Ford Mustang GT. The lack of a back camera resulted in a collision in a parking lot while driving the 2015 Ford Mustang GT because the other driver was out of my line of sight while I was backing out of a parking space, resulting in a collision.
THROTTLE BODY FAILING AT 60K, FORD HAS TSB FOR 2016+ MUSTANG THROTTLE BODIES WITH SAME ISSUE, NOT 2015. CODE P2112. VEHICLE RANDOMLY GOES INTO LIMP MODE AT ANYWHERE FROM 10MPH TO 60MPH. HAPPENED 3 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 WEEKS INCLUDING TWICE IN THE LAST TWO DAYS.
BACKUP CAMERA FUNCTIONS INTERMITTENTLY. OFTEN SHOWING AN ERROR MESSAGE, OF REAR VIEW CAMERA NOT AVAILABLE.
After 5 visits to a Ford dealer, rough idling issue finally discovered and fixed on 5/4/2023. All 4 VCT solenoids were found to have malfunctioned. Issue began 06/2020 and involved car rough idling at stops or stop and go traffic. No codes were shown on dash. During episodes, car might shut off. It would turn on if car restarted again. Vehicle first seen at Ford dealer on 7/3/2020. No issue found. Follow-on visits on 3/11/2021, 10/25/2022, and 3/22/2023 brought no answers to issue. Car left at dealers for 2-5 days at a time.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNDISCLOSED SPEED, THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL CLUNKING SOUND COMING FROM THE ENGINE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN HIS DAUGHTER WOULD DRIVE THE VEHICLE AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, SHE COULD SMELL A BURNING RUBBER ODOR EMITTING FROM THE VEHICLE. WHILE THE CONTACT'S DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING AT 50 MPH, SHE NOTICED WHITE SMOKE COMING FROM THE ENGINE WITHOUT WARNING. THE DRIVER IMMEDIATELY PULLED AND CALLED HER FATHER. THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DISCOVERED THAT THE VALVE COVER GASKET HAD CAUSED OIL TO SPILL OVER THE MANIFOLD. THE CONTACT THEN CALLED ANGELA KRAUSE FORD (1575 MANSELL RD, ALPHARETTA, GA 30009) WHERE THEY INFORMED HIM THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS ON THE VEHICLE AND REFERRED HIM TO THE MANUFACTURER. THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED HIM THAT THE DEALER WOULD HAVE TO PERFORM A DIAGNOSTIC TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY MAY OFFER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IF THE FAILURE WAS DETERMINED TO BE LINKED TO NHTSA ID NUMBER: 10167184 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) MANUFACTURER COMMUNICATION NUMBER TSB 19-2309, WHICH DID NOT INCLUDE HIS VEHICLE. I OWN A 2015 FORD MUSTANG ECOBOOST PREMIUM. I BOUGHT IT USED AND HAD IT A FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF. AT APPROXIMATELY 65000 MILES THE AIR CONDITIONER STARTED TO NOT WORK FULLY. THE DRIVER SIDE AIR CONDITION WOULD TAKE LONGER THAN THE PASSENGER SIDE TO COOL OFF. A SMALL HOLE IN MY AIR CONDITIONER'S EVAPORATOR HAS DEVELOPED. I SEARCHED AROUND AND DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM IN 2015 TO 2017 FORD MUSTANGS. I KNOW THIS ISN'T REALLY A SAFETY ISSUE, BUT JUST WANTED TO GET THIS OUT THERE BECAUSE I AM READING IT ON OTHER WEBSITES AND FORD HAS NOT RECALLED FOR THIS PARTICULAR PROBLEM.

BRAKE LIGHT STOP PAD BROKE INTO MULTIPLE PIECES WHILE DRIVING, CAUSING THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH TO MALFUNCTION. BRAKE LIGHTS REMAINED ON EVEN WHEN PEDAL IS NOT DEPRESSED, WHICH CAUSES VARIOUS PERFORMANCE ISSUES DUE TO THE ECU BELIEVING THE BRAKE PEDAL IS BEING DEPRESSED. BRAKE LIGHTS REMAINED ON WHEN CAR WAS TURNED OFF.
BREAK SENSOR PAD BROKE CAUSING LIGHTS TO ALWAYS STAY ON AND CAR TO BE IN LIMP HOME MODE
THE REARVIEW CAMERA WILL INTERMITTENTLY DISPLAY A BLANK OR DISTORTED IMAGE. WHEN PLACING THE CAR IN REVERSE THE CAMERA WILL INTERMITTENTLY DISPLAY A BLANK SCREEN OR DISTORTED IMAGE WHILE REVERSING THE VEHICLE. THIS REDUCES THE DRIVER'S VIEW OF WHAT IS BEHIND THE VEHICLE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. THIS HAPPENS WHEN BOTH STATIONARY AND IN MOTION. THIS IS THE SAME ISSUE THAT MY 2020 FORD MUSTANG GT VIN [XXX] HAS JUST RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR. THE CAMERA BEGAN TO FAIL THE SUMMER OF 2020. WHILE DRIVING UP A HILL AND ATTEMPTING TO PASS ANOTHER VEHICLE, I BRIEFLY LOST ACCELERATION. THIS HAPPENED AGAIN A FEW MINUTES LATER, AND REPEATED A COUPLE MORE TIMES. I HAD NEVER EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE BEFORE AND THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS, OR ANY OTHER SIGNS OF MECHANICAL FAILURE. AFTER HAPPENING SEVERAL TIMES, LOSING ACCELERATION INTERMITTENTLY WITHOUT TAKING MY FOOT OFF THE GAS, A WARNING MESSAGE DISPLAYED "HILL ASSIST NOT AVAILABLE," AND THEN DISAPPEARED. NO OTHER WARNING MESSAGES OR DASH INDICATORS APPEARED, AND I COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING RELATING TO HILL ASSIST IN MY SETTINGS. AFTER PARKING AND SHUTTING OFF MY CAR, I NOTICED THE BRAKE LIGHTS REMAINED ON- I COULD NOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO TURN THEM OFF. I SEARCHED ALL OF THESE ISSUES AND FOUND A BLOG POST WRITTEN BY ANOTHER OWNER EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES. THE OTHER OWNER FOUND SMALL FRAGMENTS OF A BROKEN PLASTIC DISC ON THE FLOOR MAT, BELOW THE PETALS- I FOUND THE SAME THING IN MY CAR. I WENT TO A NEARBY AUTO ZONE FOR ASSISTANCE AND WAS ADVISED THE BROKEN PIECE WAS A "BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH PLUNGER." ONE OF THEIR ASSOCIATES QUICKLY INSTALLED A $3.00 REPLACEMENT FOR ME, WHICH SEEMED TO FIX ALL OF THE ISSUES. I HAVE NOT YET TAKEN MY CAR TO FORD, BUT PLAN TO DO SO ASAP. EACH TIME I LOST ACCELERATION I WAS TRAVELING UP A HILL, AND IT WAS ONLY TEMPORARY- WITH NO OTHER SYSTEMS APPEARING TO BE AFFECTED. *TR
THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH PLUNGER BROKE OFF THE BRAKE PEDAL CAUSING THE BRAKE LIGHTS TO CONSTANTLY ILLUMINATE. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD FOR POOR DESIGN SUBSTANDARD MATERIAL. *TR
TRYING TO ACCELERATE TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN I LOST ACCELERATION. THIS CONTINUED, STEP ON THE GAS AND NOTHING WAIT A FEW SECONDS AND THE CAR WILL ACCELERATE. CURRENT MECHANIC IS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE. *TR
REAR BACK UP CAMERA WORKS INTERMITTENTLY WHEN SHIFTER PLACED IN REVERSE. SOMETIMES IT SHOWS DISTORTED IMAGES AND SOMETIMES IT JUST GOES BLANK WITH A MESSAGE ON THE SCREEN TO CONTACT YOUR FORD DEALER.
THE MUSTANG HAS THE ECOBOOST PERFORMANCE PACKAGE WITH 19" EBONY BLACK PAINTED WHEELS. THE CAR HAS ONLY 30,000 MILES ON IT DESPITE BEING 5 YEARS OLD THE LUG NUTS ON EACH WHEEL HAD TO BE REPLACED BECAUSE THE NUTS WERE SWELLING AND A STANDARD SIZE WRENCH COULD NOT REMOVE THEM. THIS PROBLEM WAS DETECTED AT 25,000 MILES AND VERIFIED BY THE FORD DEALER RECENTLY. TODAY, THE FORD DEALER REPLACED THE LUG NUTS, WHICH COST $13.03 APIECE PLUS INSTALLATION AND TAX FOR A TOTAL OF $316.91. HOWEVER, THE REAL PROBLEM IS THE POTENTIAL THAT A WHEEL COULD NOT BE REMOVED IN CASE OF A FLAT TIRE OUT ON A HIGHWAY. IN ADDITION, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT LUG NUTS WHOSE THREADS WERE NOT STRIPPED NEED REPLACEMENT WHICH APPEARS TO BE AT 30,000 MILE INTERVALS. I HAVE CARS THAT HAVE OVER 100,000 MILES ON THEM AND NEVER HAVE LUG NUTS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THERE IS A SAFETY ISSUE HERE BECAUSE BEING ABLE TO CHANGE A TIRE WHEN NECESSARY SHOULD NOT REQUIRE A MAJOR OPERATION.
THE BRAKE STOP PAD SPONTANEOUSLY SHATTERED ON MY '15 FORD MUSTANG V6 WHILE DRIVING. THE CAR LOST POWER: WOULD NOT EXCEED APPROX 1500 RPM, THROTTLE UNRESPONSIVE, NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT (MIL). I WAS DRIVING ON A TWO WAY ROAD AND SUDDENLY LOST POWER AS I WAS APPROACHING THE 75MPH SECTION FROM 55MPH. THE TRACTOR TRAILER BEHIND ME COULD HAVE REAR ENDED ME IF THEY WEREN'T PAYING ATTENTION. FORTUNATELY, WHEN THE PAD BROKE, THE BRAKE LIGHTS ILLUMINATED DESPITE NOT DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL. OTHER DRIVERS WERE AWARE THERE WAS A PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY BEFORE I TURNED ON THE HAZARD LIGHTS. WITH THE PAD BROKEN, THE TAIL LIGHTS WILL NOT TURN OFF EVEN AFTER ENGINE SHUTDOWN AND THE BUTTON-START IGNITION BYPASSED THE NEED TO DEPRESS THE BRAKES TO START THE ENGINE. IT IS DANGEROUS TO BE ABLE TO START THE ENGINE WITHOUT NEEDING TO ENGAGE THE BRAKES. MANY PEOPLE HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM BUT IT IS DIFFICULT TO TROUBLESHOOT SINCE THERE'S NO MIL OR DTC CODES. THIRD PARTY REPLACEMENT PAD COST $2, BUT FORD, APPARENTLY, ONLY SELLS THE WHOLE BRAKE ASSEMBLY FOR $200 AND COSTS UP TO $900 TO HAVE IT DONE. PEOPLE HAVE OPTED TO USE ZIP-TIES OR DISC MAGNETS INSTEAD. VEHICLES WITH THIS BRITTLE BRAKE PAD NEED TO HAVE THEM REPLACED ASAP. IT SEEMS '15 VEHICLES ARE FAILING AFTER 3-4 YEARS. THE SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER AND BYPASSING THE BUTTON-START IGNITION SAFETY FEATURES MAKES THIS A SERIOUS ISSUE. OWNERS WITH THIS ISSUE SEEM TO LIVE IN HOTTER REGIONS LIKE TEXAS OR FLORIDA.
TRUNK FAILS TO OPEN. THE TRUCK HAS BEEN OPERATING NORMALLY FOR ALMOST 5 YEARS, THEN SUDDENLY IS UNABLE TO OPEN. WHEN I USE MY FOB OR THE TRUCK RELEASE BUTTON, I HEAR THE ACTUATOR, BUT THE TRUNK DOES NOT UNLATCH. CONSIDERING SAFETY EQUIPMENT (SPARE TIRE ,FIRE EXTINGUISHER, FIRST AID KIT) IS STORED IN THE TRUNK, IT IS CRITICAL THAT IT OPENS WHEN NEEDED. *TR
LOCATION OF ELECTRIC POWER STEERING IS THE WORSE POSSIBLE PLACE. FAILURES ARE COMMON DUE TO WATER DAMAGE CAUSING POWER STEERING TO STOP WORKING AT ANY MOMENT. EVEN WHEN CAR IS MOVING WHICH COULD CAUSE ACCIDENTS OR DEATH.
THIS CAR WAS IN FOR THE DOOR OPENING UNEXPECTEDLY RECALL AND STILL FLIES OPEN OFTEN WHILE IN MOTION!!
INTERMITTENT FUNCTION OF RIGHT REAR TAIL LIGHT, INCLUDING TAILLIGHT, TURN SIGNAL, BRAKING, AND EMERGENCY FLASHER UPON RUN AND DURING DRIVE. I SUSPECT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE.
CLIMATE CONTROLLED SEATS STOPPED WORKING. WHILE DIAGNOSING THE ISSUE I FOUND THAT CONNECTOR C3265B ON THE FRONT SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL MODULE WAS BURNED SEVERELY AND MELTED.

BACK UP CAMERA NOT WORKING ON 2015 FORD MUSTANG V6. DID RESEARCH ON FORUMS AND IT SEEMS LIKE A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THIS ISSUE. IT HAPPENS WHENEVER YOU PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE FROM BEING STATIONARY.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY DURING A CRASH. DURING THE CRASH THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE UPPER TORSO. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MPH DRIVER LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND CRASHED INTO A CEMENT UTILITY POOL. DURING THE CRASH THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE WAS SEVERELY DAMAGED BUT THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE MESSAGE "AIR BAGS DEPLOYED" HAD DISPLAYED IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES TO THE UPPER TORSO AND WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL BY AMBULANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AWAY AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. NO POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED BY A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE SEAT BELT FAILED ALSO FAILED TO RETRACT AT THE TIME OF IMPACT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE REQUESTED THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO INVESTIGATE THE FAILURE OF THE AIR BAGS HOWEVER, THE ADVISED HER TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER AS THE AIR BAGS FAILURE WERE ALREADY UNDER INVESTIGATION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 106,000.
The fuel tanked cracked. It was no longer able to hold vacuum. The engine light came on and stayed on. The 2.3L mustang had a similar issue due to heat. It was inspected and fix at a local repair shop.
HUNTINGTON BEACH FORD, CA FROM 2018-2020, HAS NOT FOUND A KNOCKING NOISE ETHER IN THE TRANSMISSION OR ENGINE V-6, 3.7L. THE DEALER GAVE ME FALSE INFORMATION ON THE ENGINE NOISE. THE NOISE WAS FOR THE MUSTANG V-8, 5.0L. SSM 47787. FORD CUSTOMER RELATIONS CENTER, BACK THAT UP DOESN'T APPLY. THEY SAID GO TO ANOTHER FORD DEALER. THEODORE ROBINS FORD, COSTA MESA ,CA. FOUND THE PROBLEM, VARIABLE CAM TIMING. NOW ROBINS FORD STATES NO WARRANTY. I HAVE PREMIUM CARE EXPIRES 2021. NOISE AT IDLE 900 RPM IN PARK. IN DRIVE UP TO 15 MPH.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that he received the recall notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V082000 (Back Over Prevention) four years ago. The contact stated that every time he scheduled the appointment to have the recall repair completed at the dealer, it was informed that the part was not available to complete the repair. The contact stated that while he was driving in reverse mode, he noticed the back-over prevention camera was inoperable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the contact was informed again that the part was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the dealer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. CAR STARTED TO MAKE TICKING SOUND FROM UNDER CAR OIL PAN AFTER OIL CHANGE WORRIED ENGINE MIGHT BE BAD CAR ONLY HAS 24K MILES
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING 75 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED AN ABNORMAL BURNING ODOR WITHOUT WARNING. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE TEMPERATURE GAUGE WENT TO HOT AND CAUSED THE OVERHEATING WARNING INDICATOR TO ILLUMINATE. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER, SHIFTED INTO PARK, ADDED COOLANT, AND THE VEHICLE RETURNED TO NORMAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED AND DETERMINED THAT THE ENGINE BLOCK WAS LEAKING AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT TO CALL NHTSA TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 80,000.
WATER HAS LEAKED INTO THE CABIN OF THE CAR FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW. THE LEAK APPEARS TO HAVE COME FROM THE CORNER OF THE WINDOW SEAL AND MADE IT'S WAY INTO THE CABIN AND CREATING A STAND POOL OF WATER. WATER POOLED ON THE REAR FLOOR AND MADE IT'S WAY UP TO THE FRONT OF THE PASSENGER SIDE. THE VEHICLE SAT OVER THE WEEKEND FROM 11/26/2019 TO 11/31/2019. I WAS NOT WITH THE VEHICLE DURING THIS TIME. I LOCKED THE DOORS AND ROLLED UP THE WINDOWS KNOWING RAIN WAS IN THE FORECAST. THE VEHICLE SAT AT MY PLACE OF RESIDENCE DURING SAID WEEKEND.
PAINT BUBBLE ON HOOD, REPLACED 3 RIGHT WINDOW MOTORS, LOW PRESSURE FUEL SWITCH, LITTLE PLASTIC BUTTON ON BRAKE LEVER DETERIORATES CAUSE BRAKE LIGHTS TO STAY ON CAUSING CAR NOT TO ACCELERATE PROPERLY. CAR ONLY HAS 39000 MILES ON IT!! WINDOW MOTOR, PRESSURE SWITCH AND BRAKE LEVER COST $2000.00 TO REPAIR. REALLY UPSETTING SPEND OVER $30000.00 FOR A AUTOMOBILE THAN WITHIN 39000 MILES AND I NEED TO SPEND THIS KIND OF MONEY.
ELECTRIC POWER STREERING WHEEL FAILURE UNDER COLD WEATHER CONDITION
I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE USED IN OCT 2018 AND WAS INFORMED IT HAD AN OPEN RECALL ITEM FOR 16S30-DOOR LATCH. ALLEGEDLY THE RECALL ITEM WAS CLOSED FOR MY VEHICLE IN MARCH 2018, HOWEVER FORD'S SYSTEM DID NOT REGISTER THE RECALL CLOSURE UNTIL JAN 2019. IN OCT 2019 MY PASSENGER DOOR BEGAN BECOMING UNLATCHED WHILE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION. THE DOOR BECAME UNLATCHED ON 5 SEPARATE OCCASIONS IN THE TIME FRAME BETWEEN 14 OCT 2019 TO 25 NOV 2019. THE FIRST FOUR INSTANCES I WAS TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH ON A HIGHWAY, AND THE LAST INSTANCE I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 40 MPH ON A COUNTY ROAD. IN ALL INSTANCES I COULD HEAR THE DOOR BECOME UNLATCHED, MY DASH INDICATOR INFORMED ME THE DOOR WAS AJAR, MY DOME LIGHT CAME ON AND MY WINDOW WOULD GO UP AND DOWN. IN ALL INSTANCES I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND ESSENTIALLY RE-LATCH THE DOOR. I HAD THE LATCH REPLACED ON 25 NOV 2019, WHICH I HAD TO PAY FOR DUE TO THE RECALL REPLACEMENT LATCH BEING OUT OF WARRANTY.

I BOUGHT MY 2015 MUSTANG PREMIUM EDITION WITH 200 MILES ON IT IN 2016. DURING THE LAST FEW YEARS, THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS TIMES WHEN THE ENGINE HAS SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING, AND STALLED TWICE WHILE WAITING AT A LIGHT. IT GOES INTO AUX MODE. BUT RESTARTS RIGHT AWAY I HAVE NOT HAD THE PROBLEM FOR QUITE SOME TIME BUT THIS PAST SATURDAY, IT SHUT DOWN AGAIN, WHILE TURNING AND THIS TIME A LIGHT CAME ON THAT SAID RUN POWER ACTIVE. THIS IS A SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS CONDITION WHICH HAPPENS RANDOMLY, BUT USUALLY WHILE TURNING. FUEL LEVEL WAS 1/4 THIS PAST TIME. FORD MUST FIND THE CAUSE AND RECALL ASAP. IT HAS NEVER HAPPENED WHILE PARKED TO DATE. ONLY 6600 MILES ON THE CAR. SIMILAR REPORTS ARE POSTED ON THIS SITE.
MY WIFE NOTICE THE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE STUCK ONE. TIRED SEVERAL DIFFERENT STEPS TO SEE IF THE PROBLEM COULD BE REMEDIED. SUCH AS STARTING THE CAR, LOCKING UNLOCKING, NOTHING SEEM TO CARE OF THE ISSUE. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH ONLINE ON ONE OF THE MUSTANG FORUMS THERE WERE A FEW PEOPLE THAT HAD THE SAME ISSUE. IT SEEMS THAT THERE IS A LITTLE WHITE PLASTIC BUTTON ON THE BRAKE LEVER THAT DEPRESSES THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH. THIS SEEMS TO DRY AND CRACK AND FALL OFF THE PEDAL ASSEMBLY ,SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS. SO INSTEAD OF LETTING THE CAR SET ALL DAY AND DRAIN THE BATTERY I HAD MY WIFE DRIVE THE CAR HOME. ON THE WAY HOME SHE EXPERIENCED A RUNNING ISSUE THE CAR SEEM TO SHUTTER WOULD NOT GO ABOVE 30 TO 40 MILES AN HOUR. FORTUNATELY IT WAS ALL SIDE ROADS ON THE WAY HOME. IF THIS HAD HAPPENED GOING DOWN THE INTERSTATE IT COULD'VE BEEN A BIG PROBLEM. FROM WHAT I'VE READ APPARENTLY THE CAR GOES INTO LIMP MODE? SENSING THAT THE BRAKES HAVE BEEN APPLIED? FROM THE RESEARCH THAT I'VE BEEN ABLE TO LOOK INTO THE LITTLE PLASTIC BUTTON WHICH IS PROBABLY ABOUT TWO DOLLARS TO PRODUCE IS NOT AVAILABLE SEPARATE. THE ONLY WAY THAT THIS CAN BE REPLACED IS A BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY WHICH I READ IS APPROXIMATELY $300 PLUS LABOR. SOME PEOPLE ARE PURCHASING A RUBBER CLUTCH PEDAL BUMPER FROM TOYOTA AND PUTTING IN PLACE OF THE PLASTIC ONE FORD HAD. MY MAJOR ISSUE IS THAT IF SHE WAS ON THE INTERSTATE IN THE CAR SLOW DOWN TO 30 MILES AN HOUR WHO KNOWS WHAT COULD'VE HAPPENED. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE THE CAR DOES NOT RUN PROPERLY WHEN THIS PART FAILS. I'VE BEEN TOLD THE REPLACE PEDAL ASSEMBLY HAS BEEN UPGRADED FROM THE ORIGINAL PART.

BACK UP CAMERA WORKS AND THEN IT DOESN'T. I REFUSE TO GO TO DEALERSHIP JUST TO HAVE THEM SAY IT IS WORKING THEN TO LEAVE AND IT NOT WORKING AGAIN. I'VE READ FORUMS AND THREADS IT IS A VERY VERY COMMON. FORD NEEDS TO FIX THIS TOO MANY OWNERS HAVING SAME ISSUE. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN.
THE STOP PEDAL PAD BROK AND THE BRAKE LIGHT WERE ALWAYS ON. THE CAR STOPPED BRAKING AT ALL SUDDENLY! I DID NOT CRASH BECAUSE THE LOSS OF BRAKING HAPPENED WHILE PARKING IN A LOW TRANSIT STREET. FIRTS THERE WAS LOSS OF ACCELERATION RANDOMLY IN A HIGHWAY. I FOUND THE PIECES OF THE BRAKE PEDAL PAD IN THE CAR FLOOR. THIS IS A SEVERE RISK FACTOR FOR CRASH BECAUSE WHEN THE STOP PEDAL PAD BRAKES THE CAR WILL NOT BRAKE SUDDENLY.
HAD A FLAT TIRE AND DID NOT HAVE A SPARE. SO, I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A SERVICE STATION TO HAVE THE TIRE REPAIRED. THEN I BOUGHT A FORD SPARE TIRE KIT FOR MY 2015 MUSTANG AND DISCOVERED THE LUG WRENCH DID NOT FIT THE LUGS ON THE CAR. THE DEALER STATED THE LUGS ON THE CAR HAD TO BE REPLACED AND I WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST ($127.20). SINCE THIS IS A LATENT DEFECT, QUERY WHY FORD IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR REPLACING THE LUGS.
2015 FORD MUSTANG ECOBOOST IS SUFFERING FROM A FUEL TANK LEAK. CEL TURNED ON WHILE DRIVING ON FREEWAY. THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF UNDERCARRIAGE DAMAGE, BUT THE EVAP ON TOP OF TANK HAS A HAIRLINE CRACK. THIS IS A FAULTY PART AS THERE HAS ALREADY BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS SAME ISSUE (NHTSA CAMPAIGN #: 15V339000), BUT NOT ALL 2015 FORD MUSTANG ECOBOOSTS ARE COVERED FROM PREVIOUS RECALL. THIS LEAK MAY CAUSE A POTENTIAL FIRE IF NOT TENDED TO.

THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS REPLACED AND THE FAILURE WAS REMEDIED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
THE INCIDENT TOOK PLACE IN LAST SUMMER. MY BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH PAD BROKE INTO PIECES WHILE I WAS TRYING TO MERGE INTO A CITY HIGHWAY FROM A FREEWAY. SUDDENLY I COULD ONLY ACCELERATE FOR 2 SECONDS WHENEVER I STEP ON GAS, AND I ALSO NOTICED MY BRAKE LIGHT NEVER STOPS EVEN AFTER I TURNED MY CAR OFF. I ALMOST GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT AND GOT KILLED. THIS PROBLEM IS A VERY COMMON PROBLEM AMONG NEW MUSTANG MODELS AFTER 2015. FORD IS NOT DOING ANYTHING, AND THEY WOULD CHARGE YOU $200 FOR THE WHOLE BRAKE ASSEMBLY WHILE I ONLY NEEDED A 50 CENTS PLASTIC PAD. MY DAD IS A CAR MECHANIC, AND HE WAS SURPRISED THAT A CAR IN 2015 WOULD HAVE A SUCH COMMON PROBLEM IN 90S.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION WITH V-6 ENGINE. TRANSMISSION FLEX PLATE AND TORQUE CONVERTER WAS FINALLY REPLACED BY COAST MESA FORD DEALER AFTER THREE YEARS OF COMPLAINING TO H.B. FORD DEALER. H.B. FORD ALSO HAS OVER SERVICED THE ENGINE OIL SEVERAL TIMES WHEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THE NOISE. NO ROOT CAUSE WAS GIVEN FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF FLEX PLATE AND TORQUE CONVERTER REPLACEMENT. The driver's side window will go up and down constantly when vehicle is turned off on my 2015 Mustang GT, so annoying and scary, hate for someones fingers to get caught in it, I can role them down and back up a million times and it still does it, I even open and shut the door multiple times, but still does it! Not sure what the insurance company would say about it if I told them. Maybe something to do with the lock, sensor, security system. When window is slighly down, it could be at risk for theft. (and Ford, lets not even dicuss your Shi**y paint job!)
