THE GETRAG MT-82 TRANSMISSION LOCKS ME OUT OF 2ND GEAR WHEN IM ACCELERATING HARDLY FOR EX. MERGING ON THE HIGHWAY. ALSO MY MUSTANG IS PLAGUED WITH ELECTRICAL ISSUES RANGING FROM CONNECTING WITH BLUETOOTH, INOPERABLE BACKUP CAMERA, TAG LIGHT WIRE STRIPPED. SOMETIMES WHEN I START MY VEHICLE, BLUETOOTH WILL NOT CONNECT TO MY PHONE FOR REASONS I DONT KNOW. ALSO THE BACKUP CAMERA WORKS 10% OF THE TIME. IVE READ THAT FORDS WIRING IS BEING CRIMPED IN BETWEEN THE TRUNK LID. LASTLY THE REAR TAG LIGHT WIRES HAVE BEEN STRIPPED/CORRODED DUE TO POOR WEATHER PROTECTION.
WIRING TO THE REAR DECK GETS PINCHED WHEN TRUNK OPENS/CLOSES. REAR CAMERA AND TRUNK RELEASE DO NOT WORK AND 'TRUNK AJAR' DASH NOTIFICATION WILL NOT TURN OFF. THIS IS A KNOWN DESIGN DEFECT BY FORD. I HAVE CREATED 2 SEPARATE CASES WITH FORD CUSTOMER CARE AND THEY REFUSE TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR FULL REPAIRS.
TOOK MY FORD MUSTANG TO FORD AND THEY TOLD ME THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE FUEL VAPOUR HOSE. ONCE JOB WAS COMPLETED I ASKED IF IT WAS COVERED SINCE I HAD DONE RESEARCH AND IT WAS A RECALL THIS MUSTANG HAD. THEY SAID NO, AND ENDED UP PAYING 350.84. IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN GET A REFUND?
WHILE BACKING UP FROM A PARKING SPACE THE STEERING BECAME DIFFICULT & KEPT TRYING TO BOUNCE BACK TO CENTER. IT WAS INTERMITTENTLY EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO STEER. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THEY ALLEGEDLY CORRECTED THE ISSUE. THAT NIGHT MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND EXECUTED A RIGHT TURN AT SPEED. THE POWER STEERING FAILED AND THE STEERING WHEEL VIOLENTLY JERKED BACK TO CENTER. THE VEHICLE STRAIGHTENED OUT OF THE TURN INTO THE MEDIAN AND TOWARD ONCOMING TRAFFIC. WITH TERRIFIC STRENGTH AND EFFORT MY HUSBAND WAS ABLE TO FORCE THE VEHICLE BACK INTO THE LANE AND AVOID A COLLISION. THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER LET UP WITH WARNING MESSAGES AND THE TRACTION CONTROL WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. WITH TREMENDOUS EFFORT WE ABLE TO SAFELY GET THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP. SINCE MY HUSBAND WAS DRIVING, HIS STRENGTH WAS THE ONLY THING THAT PREVENTED IMPACTING VEHICLES IN THE ONCOMING LANE DURING THE TURN. I CAN ONLY GUESS THAT HAD I BEEN BEHIND THE WHEEL WHEN THE STEERING FAILED THE OUTCOME MAY HAVE BEEN TRAGIC. THE DEALERSHIP NOW SAYS THE STEERING RACK REQUIRES REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 44K MILES AND IS MY DAILY DRIVER.
WHEN TRAVELING AT 65 MILES A HOUR THE AIRBAG LIGHT, TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS AND ABS LIGHT CAME ON THE VEHICLE ALSO LOST POWER STEERING. I WAS TOLD THAT BECAUSE THE AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ON THE AIRBAGS WOULD NOT FUNCTION. DEALERS REPORT THAT REAR DRIVER HUB DRIVER SIDE CAUSED THE ISSUE. DEALER REFUSED TO COVER UNDER WARRANTY EVEN THOUGH AIRBAG SYSTEM WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY.
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 65 MILES PER HOUR. I WENT TO ACCELERATE AND HEARD AND FELT A LOUD BOOM. THE CAR SHUTTERED AND SMOKE BEGAN TO POUR INTO THE CAR. I SLOWED DOWN AND PULLED OVER TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER OF THE FREEWAY. I CUT THE CAR OFF AND COULDN'T RESTART IT. THE BAY AREA FREEWAY SERVICE PATROL STOPPED TO TOW ME TO A SAFE AREA. THE TECHNICIAN SAID THERE WAS OIL ALL OVER THE ROAD AND BACK OF THE CAR. CAR WAS TOWED TO THE NEAREST FORD DEALERSHIP. THE INSPECTION FOUND A CRACKED ENGINE BLOCK. THE CAR HAS 74,000 MILES ON IT AND FORD IS UNWILLING TO HELP BECAUSE THERE WAS NO WARRANTY ON THE VEHICLE.
THE A/C SYSTEM STOPPED WORKING. DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED AS EVAPORATOR CORE IS LEAKING, THATS WHY NO COLD AIR DUE TO FREON LEAKING. FORD IS NOT PAYING FOR THIS COMMON PROBLEM, FAULTY EVAPORATOR CORE MUSTANG 2015-2016.
LOW REFRIGERANT IN 4-YEAR-OLD CAR. KNOWN EVAPORATOR ISSUE. ONLY TSB, NOT RECALL. OCCURS AT ALL TIMES (DURING IDLE AND DRIVING).
While on vacation (my car was at home) a piece in my brakes broke and caused my break lights to be on constantly. When I tried starting my car the battery was dead. The break likes being on like they were ended up causing my battery to corrode by time I got home from the continuous energy drain. I was able to jumpstart my car but when I went to put my car in drive the vehicle would not accelerate over pretty much idling. When I got my car towed to the dealership (Gary Yeoman's) they told me the break bumper disintegrated and caused my break lights to be on and a vehicle acceleration override to be engaged.
BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD NOT SHUT OFF AND STAYED ON STEADY SO PEOPLE BEHIND COULD NOT TELL WHETHER OR NOT I WAS BRAKING ....WHEN DRIVING CAR WOULD DROP SPEED FOR NO APPARENT REASON LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL OUT. I FOUND SMALL PLASTIC DEBRIE ON FLOOR MAT I GUESS IT WAS A WASHER TYPE THING FROM BRAKE SWITCH BRITTLE AND BROKEN IS PIECES? THIS ALL HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING.
A PLASTIC PAD ATTACHED TO THE BRAKE PEDAL ARM THAT'S REQUIRED IN ORDER FOR THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH TO OPERATE CORRECTLY APPARENTLY DISINTEGRATED. AS A RESULT, THE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE ON CONTINUOUSLY. I NOTICED IT WHEN ITHE CAR WAS PARKED AT HOME, BUT DO NOT KNOW WHEN IT HAPPENED.
YESTERDAY WHILE DRIVING ON A HOUSTON HIGHWAY AT 60+ MPH MY PASSENGER SIDE DOOR UNLATCHED AND WARNING LIGHT AND SOUND CAME ON THAT MY DOOR WAS AJAR. THE DOOR OPENED ON IT'S ON I HAD TO PULL OVER AND CLOSE IT. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED THIS MONTH. BOTH TIMES WHILE CAR IS IN MOTION. I FOUND THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FROM FORD A FEW YEARS AGO FOR THIS ISSUE BUT I SEARCHED FOR RECALLS ON MY VIN AND MINE WAS NOT RECALLED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 FORD MUSTANG. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BACK UP CAMERA FAILED TO DISPLAY. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN REVERSE, THE CAMERA DID NOT SHOW AN IMAGE AND THE SCREEN WAS BLANK. THE CONTACT'S SON ALSO REPORTED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD MOVE ON ITS OWN AND IT WAS DIFFICULT TO TURN. IN ADDITION, THE ABS AND POWER STEERING WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO MEDVED FORD (1404 S WILCOX ST, CASTLE ROCK, CO 80104, (303) 688-3137) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT A NEW POWER STEERING SYSTEM NEEDED TO BE INSTALLED. THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES AND DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 76,000.
WHEN DRIVING THE BRAKE STOPLIGHT SWITCH PAD THAT ATTACHES TO THE BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY FAILS DUE TO IT BEING BRITTLE PLASTIC. THIS CAUSES THE ON BOARD COMPUTERS TO BELIEVE THE BRAKES ARE BEING APPLIED AND DRASTICALLY SLOWING THE VEHICLE DOWN FROM HIGHWAY SPEEDS TO LESS THAN 50MPH AND PREVENTING ACCELERATION. I WAS ACCELERATING TO INTERSTATE SPEEDS WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY FELT LIKE THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED. THIS REDUCED MY SPEED FROM 60 MPH TO 47-50MPH WITH TRAFFIC BEHIND ME. IT ALSO ILLUMINATED THE BRAKE LAMPS ON MY VEHICLE WHICH MADE IT APPEAR OTHER DRIVERS I WAS STOPPING ABRUPTLY. WHEN I CAME TO A STOP I COULD ACCELERATE UP TO 35-50MPH HOWEVER IT WAS INTERMITTENT ACCELERATION AS THE CAR WOULD LURCH FORWARD AND SLOW DOWN. MY BRAKE LIGHT WERE ON THE ENTIRE TIME CONFUSING OTHER DRIVERS. PIECES OF THE BROKEN BRAKE LIGHT STOP PAD WERE FOUND ON MY FLOORBOARD ONCE I WAS ABLE TO NAVIGATE THE VEHICLE HOME.
MY CAR IS GARAGED YEAR ROUND TO INCLUDE 6 MONTHS TOTALLY GARAGED. IT HAS 28,800 MILES. WHILE GETTING OUT THE BEGINNING OF MAY 2019 FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE OCT, 2018. I NOTICED PAINT BUBBLING UP ON THE HOOD. THE CAR WAS 4 YEARS OLD IN APRIL, THIS WAS SPOTTED IN MAY. CALLED FORD CO. THEY SAID THEY HAD A 3 YEAR/36,000 MILE POLICY FOR THE PAINT. WITH FURTHER INVESTIGATION THRU A RELATIVE WHO WORKS FOR FORD DEALERSHIP IN MI. HE SAID FORD HAS KNOWN ABOUT THE PROBLEM FOR A FEW YEARS. HE SAID IT WAS EITHER INFERIOR MATERIAL, OR THE PREP WORK THAT CAUSED THE BUBBLING.HE ALSO SAID UP TO 2015 IT WAS 3YRS./36,000 MILES. AFTER 2015 THEY FIGURED OUT THE PROBLEM AND CHANGED THE POLICY TO 5YRS./UNLIMITED MILES. I TALKED TO A PERSON THAT HAD A 2016 MUSTANG GT, AND ASKED IF HAD PAINT ISSUES AND SAID YES ON THE HOOD. HE SHOWED ME, AND IT WAS IN THE EXACT SAME SPOT AS MINE!!! MINE WAS ESTIMATED AT $2577.73, SUPPOSEDLY FORD SAID THEY WOULD PAY $768.00, AND THEY HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE HOOD!! SO, YES, THEY KNEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM!! I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING TO CAUSE THIS. IF I DID I WOULD TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT, BUT FORD SCREWED UP AND SHOULD FIX ALL OF IT AT THEIR EXPENSE. I HAVE PHOTOS OF MY CAR, AND THE 2016 THAT I TALKED WITH, BUT THEY ARE MY PHONE AND I CAN'T SEND THEM BECAUSE I'M ON MY LAPTOP, AND DON'T HAVE ON IT.
EVAPORATOR CORE LEAK; FREON IS OUT; IT'S TOO HOT IT WILL DEHYDRATE DRIVER AND PASSENGER
REPORTING A SYSTEMIC MANUFACTURED FIRE CONDITION.RIGHT SIDE EXHAUST [PASSENGER SIDE FRONT] BEHIND WHEEL WELL..EXHAUST IS TOO CLOSE TO THE WIRING A/C SCHRADER PORT CAUSING MELTING HEAT DAMAGE TO WIRING FENDER LINER AND PORT CAP.ON THIS VEHICLE THE FENDER LINER HAS A HOLE BURNT INTO IT AS WELL THE SCHRADER CAP IS MELTED.THIS IS A DOCUMENTED CONDITION ON THE INTERNET WITH ACTUAL FIRES ON FILM.AS WELL FORD SENT OUT A LETTER TO APPROX 1300 OWNERS ABOUT THIS EXACT PROBLEM IN AUSTRALIA [ SOURCE SUNSHINECOAST NEWS ARTICLE].NO ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN IN US. THIS CAME TO MY ATTENTION DURING A ROUTINE TIRE CHANGE ON 4-25-2019. THE VEHICLE IS AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION UPON REQUEST BY EITHER NTSB OR FORD REPS. THE RECOMMENDED REPAIR MIGHT BE SOME SORT OF HEAT SHIELD REFLECTOR OR OTHER IDEAS? IT IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM I AM ADVISING OF FOR MAJOR SAFETY REASONS.THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT A REPAIR SHOP WHEN THE PROBLEM WAS NOTICED.
STEERING WHEEL IS LOOSE. THE BOLT THAT HOLDS THE STEERING WHEEL ON IS LOOSE.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated that while reversing, the back over prevention camera was inoperable. The contact stated that the screen was completely black and showed nothing on the display. The contact stated that at the time of failure there was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that he researched and repaired the camera himself. The contact stated that the dealer should replace the harness, as there was a recall however, the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V082000 (Back Over Prevention). The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 15,000.
The ac on my mustang has gone out 3 times causing my windshield to fog up and making it very hard to see through. From my understanding Ford already knows about this problem and the defective ac compressor and evap. I have been having problems with the ac since 20 thousand miles. I also have oil leaking onto my driver side floorboard from a bad master slave cylinder. This also started around 20 thousand miles and Ford did not want to warranty it even though the car was still under manufacture warranty. They said that it doesn’t fall under power tran warranty which does not make sense. This makes it unsafe to drive when your foot becomes slippery from oil. I also have rust all over my hood that Ford did not want to cover under their 5 year paint warranty. Very disappointed by Ford and the low quality product they knowingly put out.
WHEEL LUGS DE-LAMINATE REQUIRING REPLACEMENTS TO BE PURCHASED. FACTORY PROVIDES LUG WRENCH WILL NOT FIT THE DE-LAMINATED LUGS MAKING A TIRE REMOVAL IMPOSSIBLE ON THE ROAD TO CHANGE A FLAT TIRE.
THE AIR CONDITIONER STOPPED WORKING. SAME PROBLEM IN 2016 TAHOE THAT GENERAL MOTORS ISSUED AN 17335 EXTENDED WARRANTY. SUPPOSEDLY NTSB MANDATED GENERAL MOTORS BECAUSE OF SYSTEMIC PROBLEM. FORD MUSTANGSS HAVE THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM BUT FORD REFUSES TO FIX. HOW DO WE GET FORD TO REPAIR LIKE GENERAL MOTORS HAS DONE? 35,890 MILES
AT 42000 MILES A/C STARTED BLOWING WARM AIR. I HAVE READ HUNDREDS OF COMPLAINTS INVOLVING THE SAME THING.
COOLANT LEAK
UNABLE TO OPEN TRUNK IN 2015 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE. THE KEY FOB, DASH RELEASE BUTTON AND OUTSIDE RELEASE BUTTON WILL NOT OPEN TRUNK. ALSO FOUND OUT BACK UP CAMERA IS OUT TOO. I JUST FOUND ON INTERNET TONITE , THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM DUE TO POOR DESIGN OF WIRE HARNESS IN TRUNK LID. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE YOU CANNOT GET IN TRUNK AND NO OPERABLE CAMERA . THE CAR INTERMITTENTLY WILL NOT START. THE DEALERS SAY THEY CAN'T FIX THE CAR WITHOUT A COMPUTER ERROR CODE WHICH THEY ARE NOT GETTING. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED WITH THE CAR ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. I HAVE CHECKED ON-LINE AND FIND THAT OTHER MUSTANG OWNERS ARE HAVING EXACTLY THE SAME EXPERIENCE AND THEIR CARS ARE NOT GETTING FIXED EITHER. I ALSO CONTACTED FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE DIRECTLY BUT HAVE HAD NO FEEDBACK FROM THEM. I AM OUT OF OPTIONS AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. FORD NEEDS TO PROVIDE A TIMELY FIX AND HONOR THEIR WARRANTY AGREEMENT TO KEEP THESE CARS ON THE ROAD. THIS IS NOT THE ONLY ELECTRIC/ELECTRONIC PROBLEM I HAVE HAD/DO HAVE WITH THE CAR
I WAS IMPACTED BY A TRUCK FROM BACK. I'M THE DRIVER MY SEAT AND SEATBELT DIDNT WORK. I WAS PUSHED TOWARDS FRONT STEERING WHEEL AND SLAMMED TO THE BACK. MY BACK REST WAS IN MY BACK SEAT. MY SEAT BELT NEVER LOCKED. I COULDN'T REACH ANY PEDDLE AFTER IMPACT
WE WERE STOPPED IN FAST LANE IN FREEWAY TRAFFIC, CAR IN CENTER LANE HIT BACK PASSENGER SIDE, PUSHING US INTO TAHOE IN FRONT OF US. DRIVER THAT HIT US WAS GOING 30-35 MPH ON IMPACT. ONLY THE DRIVERS LEG AIRBAG WENT OFF, PASSENGER AIRBAG POPPED COVER OFF ON RIGHT SIDE AND GOT STUCK SO DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVERS FRONT STEERING WHEEL AIRBAG DID NOT DEPLOY. DRIVER INJURED WITH SEVERE BRUISING. BACK WINDSHIELD SHATTERED IN TINY PIECES ACROSS ENTIRE INSIDE OF CAR. I HAVE CONFIRMED THIS CAR DID NOT HAVE ANY AIRBAG RECALLS ASSOCIATED WITH IT.
THE RIGHT REAR TAILLIGHT WILL INTERMITTENTLY FUNCTION (TAIL LIGHT, TURN SIGNAL, STOP LIGHT) AS A WHOLE WHILE IN MOTION OR STOPPED.
2015 FORD MUSTANG GT PREMIUM PERFORMANCE PACK 31,000 MILES. TOOK A SHORT 20 MINUTE NON AGGRESSIVE DRIVE, STARTED HEARING A LOUD WHINING NOISE, WHICH SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS COMING FROM THE TRANSMISSION. TOOK IT TO FORD FOR THEM TO TELL ME WHAT THE AC COMPRESSOR IS THE CAUSE OF THE WHINE AND NEEDS REPLACEMENT AS WELL AS THE AC EVAPORATOR. THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME $3,300 FOR THIS REPLACEMENT. AFTER HOURS OF RESEARCH I FOUND NUMEROUS EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE IN THE SAME BOAT AS ME. HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR CARS BEING LESS THAN A YEAR OLD OR BELOW 10K MILAGE EVEN. THE AVERAGE MILEAGE THIS PROBLEM OCCURS WAS AT ROUGHLY 28,000 MILES. MOST WERE ABLE TO GET IT FIXED FREE OF CHARGE UNDER WARRANTY. HOWEVER THERE IS AN EXTREMELY LARGE PORTION OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THIS ISSUE LITERALLY WITHIN A FEW WEEKS/MONTHS OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY AND FORD EXPECTING THEM TO PAY OVER $3,000 TO REPAIR. ALSO SAFETY CONCERNS IS THAT FREON COULD LEAK INTO CABIN PASSING OVER AC COILS. FORD RECOGNIZES THIS ISSUE WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE UNDER WARRANTY AND REPLACE THE BROKEN COMPRESSOR/EVAPORATOR WITH A NEWER DESIGN/IMPROVED VERSION THAT DOESN'T HAVE THESE 'FAULTS' WHICH ALSO COMES WITH NEW PART NUMBERS. SO THIS SHOWS THEY HAVE NOTICED A PROBLEM AND ADDRESSED IT. HOWEVER FOR PEOPLE WITHOUT WARRANTY OR JUST EXPIRED WARRANTY THEY ARE STATING THAT THERE HAS BEEN NO ISSUE RECOGNIZED OR RECALL FOR THESE PARTS THEREFORE IT IS ON THE CUSTOMER TO PAY TO REPLACE THE MANUFACTURE DEFECTED ITEM AT THEIR OWN COST. AFTER SPEAKING WITH FORD THEY SAID DUE TO IT NOT AFFECTING THE USERS SAFETY THEY ARE NOT RECALLING THE PARTS REGARDLESS EVERYONE IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ESCALATE THIS FURTHER AS FORD IS CURRENTLY WALKING OVER THEIR CUSTOMERS AND MAKING THEM PAY FOR THEIR DEFECTS THAT EVERYONE IS EXPERIENCING, IF THEY ARE OUT OF WARRANTY, REGARDLESS OF EXTREMELY LOW MILEAGE CARS.
BACK UP CAMERA REPEATEDLY WORKS INTERMITTENTLY CAUSING ME TO BACK UP INTO A POST, COSTING $1200 IN DAMAGES ELECTRICAL WIRES GOING TO TRUNK LID ARE INCREDIBLY THIN AND FLIMSY. THIS EFFECTS THE BACK UP CAMERA, TRUNK RELEASE, TRUNK LIGHT, ETC.; ALL OF WHICH HAVE FAILED AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER. REPAIRED WIRING TWICE BUT THEY ARE SO FRAIL, THEY CONTINUE TO SNAP AND CAUSE MALFUNCTION THROUGHOUT THE CAR.
I RECENTLY BOUGHT THE CAR TO A CLOSE FRIEND AND AS HE ALREADY STATES TO ME BEFORE TO BUY A CAR THERE IS A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ACTIVE, I WENT TO A SHOP TO FIND OUT WHAT IS WRONG AND THE CODE ALARM IS P0456, SMALL EVAPORATORS LEAK. AN SMOKE TEST WAS PERFORMED AND FOUND OUT THE GAS TANK HAS A BLUE FITTING ON TOP OF IT THAT IS LEAKING OUT ALL THE VAPORS. AFTER THE SURPRISING NEW ON A 2015 CAR I WENT BY MYSELF TO INSPECT THE FITTING AND FIND OUT THE HOSE CONNECTION IS GOOD BUT THE FITTING COMING OUT THE TANK HAS A CRACK ALLOWING VAPORS TO COME OUT THE TANK AND PRODUCING THE ALARM P0456. THE ALARM CAN BE RESET AND AFTER SOME DAYS COME BACK AGAIN.
WHEEL LUG NUTS ARE DEFECTIVE - HAVE SWOLLEN AND ARE STRIPPED - UNABLE TO USE TORQUE WRENCH TO TIGHTEN WHEELS PROPERLY. FORD DOES NOT WANT TO WARRANT LUG NUTS EVEN THOUGH THE CAR IS ONLY 3 YEARS OLD, 29K MILES AND 100% MAINTAINED BY THE FORD DEALER

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS SIMILAR TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V643000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.

TODAY I WAS DRIVING MY 2015 FORD MUSTANG WHEN SUDDENLY THE CAR BEGAN TO LOSE SPEED. THE CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN AND WOULDN'T LET ME ACCELERATE. BACK UP CAMERA(A SAFETY DEVICE) NO LONGER FUNCTIONS WHEN CAR IS IN REVERSE. THE CAMERA STOPPED WORKING SHORTLY AFTER THE WARRANTY PERIOD HAD EXPIRED.
UNEXPECTED HIGH RPM ACCELERATION FROM REST. STARTED THE ENGINE AND PUT THE VEHICLE IN...RPMS JUMPED TO 4,000 AND VEHICLE ACCELERATED UNTIL BRAKES APPLIED AND ENGINE SHUT OFF. LUCKILY NO VEHICLES BEHIND ME. THE VEHICLE LEFT 20 FOOT LONG BURN MARKS IN THE PAVEMENT BEFORE I COULD REACT AND SLAM ON THE BRAKES AND SHUT OFF THE VEHICLE. OVER THE NEXT 15 MINUTES, I CAREFULLY STARTED THE ENGINE WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE PEDAL...EACH TIME THE ENGINE STARTED NORMALLY AND WITHIN A FEW SECONDS THE ENGINE ACCELERATED TO 3000 TO 4000 RPMS WITHOUT ME EVER TOUCHING THE ACCELERATED (MY FOOT STAYED ON THE BRAKE PEDAL). EACH TIME I QUICKLY HIT THE STOP BUTTON. AFTER WAITING FOR SEVERAL HOURS FOR THE NON-APPEARANCE OF A TOW TRUCK...I CAREFULLY STARTED THE ENGINE AGAIN. BUT THIS TIME, IT RAN CORRECTLY. I CAREFULLY DROVE TO A NEARBY FORD DEALERSHIP, WHERE IT NOW SITS WAITING FOR A DIAGNOSIS. IF THERE HAD BEEN ANY OTHER VEHICLES BEHIND ME IN THE PARKING LOT...I WOULD HAVE IMPACTED ON OR MORE.
I DRIVING HOME ON MY STREET AND THE ELECTRIC POWER STEERING LOCK UP AND PULL THE VEHICLE INTO HARD RIGHT MAKE ALMOST CAUSE ME TO HIT CAR. I MADE APPOINTMENTS WITH FORD FOR THE 9/18/2018 SPOKEN WITH SERVICE AND PARTS THERE BUT SAID DO KNOW ABOUT ANY RECALL YET. THIS IS JUST VERY DANGEROUS CAN CAUSE A ACCIDENT OR INJURIES TO OTHER DRIVERS ON THE ROAD.
09/15/18 THE VEHICLE ELECTRIC STEERING FAIL TO WORK CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO MAKE A HARD RIGHT TURN AND LOCK UP IN DRIVING AT 5 MPH ALMOST HITTING ANOTHER VEHICLE TURN VEHICLE OFF AND RESTART AND WENT BACK TO NORMAL CONDITIONS TOOK THE VEHICLE TO FORD DEALERSHIP 9/15/18 THAT SAME DAY FOR DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR TECH AND SERVICE ADVISOR PART FAILURE NO REASON WHY PART FAILED MY VEHICLE ONLY HAS 39K MILES THIS SHOULD BE A RECALL AND SAFETY ISSUE. THE 2015 MUSTANG HAS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH DOOR LATCHES -- THERE A MASSIVE RECALL NOTICE (16S30) HOWEVER DEALERS TOLD MY VIN NUMBER DOESN'T QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL -- YET MY DOOR LATCH IS BROKEN AND EXHIBITS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THOSE WHO DO QUALIFY. THE DOOR SWINGS OPEN UNEXPECTEDLY -- THIS HAS OCCURRED MANY TIMES AND IS QUITE DANGEROUS. FORD CORPORATE CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS BEEN NOTIFIED AND I'M TO OBTAIN A FORMAL QUOTE FOR THE REPAIR AND GET BACK TO THEM. ONE DEALER SAID $550 PARTS AND LABOR -- HOWEVER THE FORD SERVICE SITE SAY'S ITS 1.3 HOURS AND THE PART KIT IS APPROXIMATELY $70.00 I BELIEVE THERE HAS TO BE SOME LEGAL COURSE OF ACTION.
SYNC 2 MY FORD TOUCH - FORD IS NO LONGER SUPPORTING THIS TECHNOLOGY IN MY CAR. I CAN NOT USE THE NAVIGATION FEATURE NOR GET A VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT WHICH WOULD ALERT ME TO MECHANICAL PROBLEMS MY CAR MAY HAVE.
THE A/C SYSTEM SHUT DOWN WHILE TRAVELING ON AN INTERSTATE AND ONLY BLEW HOT AIR. THE ENTIRE A/C SYSTEM AND ITS COMPONENTS HAD TO BE REPLACED AND THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY TWO YEARS OLD. A LEAK WAS FOUND UNDER THE VEHICLE AS IT WAS PARKED IN A DRIVEWAY. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION, THE LEAK WAS TRACED BACK TO THE MASTER BRAKE CYLINDER AND BRAKE BOOSTER. THE MASTER CYLINDER HAD TO BE REPLACED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS ONLY THREE YEARS OLD.
HUNTINGTON BEACH FORD SERVICE DEPARTMENT, ADVISOR STATED HE KNEW WHAT THE NOISE PROBLEM WAS WITH MY 2015 MUSTANG V-6, 3.7, ENGINE. I WAS PROVIDE A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN, SSM47787, TICK TAP AND OR TYPEWRITER NOISE AT IDLE. AFTER AN OIL CHANGE. THIS SSM DOESN'T ADDRESS THE 2015 MUSTANG V-6. AND THE KNOCKING IS ALL THE TIME WHEN THE ENGINE IS AT OPERATING TEMP. THIS MY THIRD TRIP TO THE DEALER. MILEAGE OVER 28,000. THE SSM DOESN'T ADDRESS THE ROOT CAUSE. ENGINE AT IDLE TO 1700 RPM IN PARK / DRIVE. THIS LAST TIME THE OIL WAS CHANGE AND THE TIME BEFORE IT. IT WAS OVER FULLED WITH OIL BY AT LEASE A 1/2 QUART.

THE DOOR OPENED WHILE THE CAR WAS MOVING, THE DOOR APPEARED TO BE CLOSED, THERE WAS NO ALERT THAT THERE WAS A DOOR OPENED, THE CAR FELT LIKE EVERYTHING WAS OK, BUT WHEN I SAW THE ALERT ON THE DASHBOARD THAT A DOOR WAS OPENED, AND I INMEDIATLY COULD FEEL THE SOUND OF THE WIND COMING INSIDE THE CAR, I TOOK THE CAR TO A DEALER THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING AND TOLD ME TO JUST GO HOME, THEN AFTER A MONTH AND A HALF, THE DOOR OPENED AGAIN, I HEARD THE WINDOW COMING DOWN AS IT IS A CONVERTIBLE THE WINDOW GOES A LITTLE DOWN SO THE DOOR CAN OPEN, THEN I SAW THE ALERT ON THE DASHBOARD THAT A DOOR WAS OPENED, I HAD TO STOP AND CLOSE THE DOOR, IN NEITHER OF THESE TWO OCASSIONS THE DOOR OPENED FULLY, IT WAS OPENED A BIT, LIKE WHEN IT'S NOT 100% LOCKED. THE FIRST TIME I WAS GOING ON THE HIGHWAY AT 80 MPH APROX. THE SECOND TIME I WAS IN A CITY STREET GOING AT 40 MPH APROX. BOTH TIMES OT WAS THE PASSENGER DOOR.
