BACKUP CAMERA MALFUNCTIONING, HAVE HAD SERVICED SEVERAL TIMES AND THE EXPENSE IS GETTING HIGHER AND STILL NO FIX. FORD KNOWS THERE IS A PROBLEM AND THEY REFUSE TO FIX BUT THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THESE CARS HAVE SOO MANY BLIND SPOTS YOU CAN'T SEE BACKING UP WITHOUT IT. IT SEEMS TO BE WORSE WHEN CAR HEATS UP, IT ROLLS OR GOES BLANK AND WON'T COME ON AT ALL MOST DAYS. IT STARTS INTERMITTENTLY SO WHEN YOU CARRY IT TO FORD THEY SAY NOTHING IS WRONG BUT THEN IT GOES BACK TO DOING AND YOUR A DANGER WHEN BACKING OUT ANYWHERE WHY IS NOBODY DOING ANYTHING?? I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN JUNE OF 2018 AND IT WAS MESSED UP EVEN THEN WHEN THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD IT. IT HAS BEEN IN AND OUT OF THE SHOP 5 OR 6 TIMES IF NOT MORE. LCD SCREEN REPLACED WIRES CHECKED AND NOW I'M HAVING PAY 300$ TO REPLACE THE WIRING HARNESS AND NO GUARANTEE OF A FIX. I FEEL UNSAFE AND HAVE BACKED OUT IN FRONT OF MOVING VEHICLES AND THIS IS GOING TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IF NOT FIXED. YOU CAN'T SEE IN THIS CAR WITHOUT IT!!CAN SOMEONE PLEASE DO SOMETHING THIS IS ALL OVER THE INTERNET AS A PROBLEM AND NO ONE HAS ANY ONE SURE SOLUTION BUT ITS DEFECTIVE AND COSTING A FORTUNE AND STILL NOT WORKING, WHILE FORD OVERLOOKS IT THAT'S SOO DANGEROUS!! YOU CANNOT SEE!!!
TAKATA RECALL. I WAS INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT ON THE FREEWAY. A TRAILER TRUCK TURNED INTO MY DRIVER SIDE REAR WHEEL DESTROYING IT AND PUSHING ME TOWARDS THE FRONT OF HIS TRUCK. TO PREVENT ENDING UP IN FRONT OF THE TRUCK I TURNED THE WHEEL TO MY RIGHT CAUSING ME TO CRASH INTO A CONSTRUCTION BARRIER AT 30MPH. MY FRONT RIGHT TIRE TOOK ALL THE IMPACT CAUSING MY CAR TO GO UP ABOUT 3-4 FEET AND SLAMMING DOWN HARD. MY AIRBAGS NEVER DEPLOYED.
WITH LESS THAN 21,000 MILES ON THE VEHICLE AIR COOLING WAS LOST ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE. A FORD DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO BE A LEAK IN THE EVAPORATOR REQIRING REPLACEMENT OF THE EVAPORATOR. THERE ARE OTHERS I HAVE NOTED ON LINE TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.
AFTER DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 5 MILES AT HIGHWAY SPEED, SEVERAL WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATE, INCLUDING ADVANCETRAK UNAVAILABLE, THE ABS INDICATOR, TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR, AND AIR BAG INDICATOR. ALL OF THESE SYSTEMS BECOME UNAVAILABLE.
AFTER RESEARCHING MANY FORUMS A LOT OF MUSTANG OWNERS, RANGING FROM 2010-2017, REPORT A PROBLEM WITH THEIR TRUNKS NOT OPENING DUE TO A WIRE THAT CORRODES AND DOESN'T ALLOW THE TRUNK TO OPEN. THAT SHOULD BE A PROBLEM THAT THE MANUFACTURER IS SELLING A FAULTY WIRE TO CONSUMERS. THIS COST IS $150, JUST TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE WHICH I BELIEVE IS UNFAIR. THE TRUNK WON'T OPEN UNLESS I GO INTO THE TRUNK FROM THE INSIDE OF IT AND UNLATCH IT THROUGH THE EMERGENCY EXIT. I HOPE THIS PROGRAM CAN DO ITS RESEARCH AND SEE THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY MUSTANG OWNER THAT HAS THIS ISSUE. I HOPE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND HAVE FORD ABSORB THE COST AND FIX THIS ISSUE FOR OLDER AND NEWER MUSTANGS BY NOT SELLING FAULTY PARTS AND ACCESSORIES.
WHILE DRIVING MY 2015 MUSTANG GT, THE DRIVER SIDE REAR STRUT EXPERIENCED A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE WHICH RESULTED IN THE STRUT BLOWING THROUGH THE MOUNT TO THE BODY AND NEARLY PENETRATING THE BODY OF MY VEHICLE. THIS CAUSED A SUDDEN LOSS OF CONTROL WITH THE VEHICLE AND REMAINS A HIGH CONCERN IF IT IS TO HAPPEN AGAIN. THE DEALERSHIP WAS UNABLE TO ADVISE WHY THIS HAPPENED BUT ALL SERVICE PERSONNEL NOTED THAT THIS WAS A SAFETY CONCERN AND SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN ON ANY VEHICLE, LET ALONE ONE THAT IS TWO YEARS OLD. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE ATTACHED IMAGES, THE STRUT ITSELF PENETRATED THE FUEL FILLER LINE AND UNDER FULL SUSPENSION COMPRESSION THE STRUT ITSELF WAS NEARLY PENETRATING THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE AS NOTED ABOVE.
THE PURGE CONTROL VALVE POSSIBLY ALSO DESCRIBED AS A PURGE CANISTER VALVE IS DEFECTIVE AND IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR REPLACEMENT PURCHAS THROUGH MANY AUTO PART STORES. THIS PRODUCT CAUSES EXCESSIVE RAW FUEL TO ENTER INTO THE ENGINE CAUSING MAJOR ENGINE DAMAGE ALONG WITH HARMFUL EMISSION FUMES INTO THE ENVIRONMENT. WHILE IN IDLE THE CAR TENDS TO SHUT OFF OR DROP BELOW STANDARD IDLE RPM. THERE IS ALSO LOSS OF POWER DUE TO THIS DEFECT PART. FORD DOES NOT COVER THIS PART SERVICE UNDER THEIR WARRENTY AND CONSUMER IS FORCED TO PAY AN EXPENSIVE SERVICE TO GET PROBLEM RESOLVE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE THE ONLY ONE WITH ACCESS TO THIS PART. THIS SHOULD BE A CONCERN AND UNDER THE EMISSIONS LAW AND BE COVERED UNDER WARRENTY THROUGH THE MANUFACTURE. ON A SIDE NOTE, THE EMMISIONS CONTROL MODULE IS ALSO EFFECTED AND CONSUMER IS FORCED TO PAY AN ADDITION COST FOR THIS REPAIR AS WELL. THIS IS A PROBLEM WITH MAJORITY OF THE NEW MUSTANGS YEAR RANGING FOR 2015-2017.
I HAVE A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. VEHICLE WAS PARKED WITH THE EMERGENCY PARKING BRAKE FULLY ENGAGED. VEHICLE ROLLED DOWNHILL AND CRASHED INTO A FENCE. CONTACTED DEALER AND THEY SAID VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED BY ANY RECALL.
SEAT BELT TENSIONER: SEAT BELT TENSION IS NOT RETAINING TENSION. HAVE SPOKEN WITH DEALER AND SHOWED THEM THE PROBLEM AND THEY AGREED WITH MY ASSESSMENT AND HAVE ORDERED A NEW PRE-TENSIONER FOR ME. THEY ALSO NOTED UNNECESSARY SLOWNESS IN THE RETRACTION OF THE PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT TENSIONER AND WILL ORDER ONE FOR ME IF I ASK FOR IT (WHICH I WILL). I AM ASKING THE NHTSA TO CONTACT FORD ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AS OTHER MAKES AND MODELS COULD ALSO BE AFFECTED.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 FORD MUSTANG. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE HYDROPLANED AND CRASHED INTO A MILE MARKER SIGN. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY AND THE SEAT BELT FAILED TO RESTRAIN THE DRIVER CORRECTLY. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED NECK AND BACK INJURIES, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A SALVAGE YARD AND DEEMED DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000.
MY 2015 MUSTANG WAS TOTALED ON MARCH 11 2018 AND NONE OF THE AIRBAGS CAME OUT AND ON INSPECTION THE STATE TROOPER SAID MY SEAT BEAT MISFIRED . WHEN I CONTACTED THE FORD CUSTOMER SERVICE CENTER THE GUY HAD THE NERVE TO ASK ME WHAT DID I WANT HIM TO DO ABOUT IT!!!! I NEVER RECEIVED A RECALL AT ALL FROM ANYONE!!!! I THEN ASK HIM TO HAVE SOMEONE CALL ME I HAVE AS TO YET NOT RECEIVED ONE PHONE CALL... BOUGHT A 2015 MUSTANG GT FEB 28 AT 9PM WITH 19200 MILES ON IT. MARCH 1 I NOTICED THE CAR HAD 3 DIFFERENT TIRES BRANDS ON IT. THE CAR PULLS BAD TO THE LEFT UNDER ACCELERATION, WHEN YOU LET OFF THE GAS IT PULLS RIGHT. LAUREL FORD DID A 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT ON THE CAR AND IT STILL PULLS. NOW THEY SAY IT IS THE STRUTS AND THE ORDED 2 NEW ONES FOR THE FROUNT. I THINK IT IS THE TIRES NOT THE STRUTS BUT THEY WON'T REPLACE THE TIRES BECAUSE THEY WOULD HAFT TO PAY FOR THEM. THEY ONLY WANT TO REPLACE PARTS THAT WARRANTY WILL PAY FOR. THEY SAID NO WAY THEY WOULD PAY FOR 4 NEW TIRES. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE ⚠️ VERY DANGEROUS DRIVING THE CAR BECAUSE IT IS A MANUEL TRANSMISAION AND EVERY TIME YOU ACCELERATE THE CAR PULLS LEFT HOLDING THE WHEEL STRAIGHT DOES NOT STOP IT, IT STILL PULLS LEFT, THEN RIGHT WHEN YOU TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS. WHAT FORD DEALER WOULD SELL A CAR WITH 19,200 MILES ON IT WITH 3 MIS MACHED TIRES ON IT. ALSO THE TIRES HAVE DIFFERENT LOAD AND SPEED RATEINGS ON EACH ONE, LIKE 101Y, AND 105Y, AND 100 Y. I DONT KNOW WATS WRONG, I THINK LAUREL FORD IS STALLING, WHY???? I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR 15 DAYS NOW STILL NOT FIXED. I GUESS SOME ONE WILL LOOK INTO THIS AFTER SOME BODYS GETS KILLED LIKE ME AND WHAT EVER CAR I HIT HEAD ON AT 70 MPH.
CAR SMOKING AT IDLING AND DRIVING WHITE SMOKE. KNOWN ISSUE OR RECALL AND MY CAR IS EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE BUT IS NOT SHOWING UP FOR MY VIN. SMOKING SO MUCH IT IS GETTING INSIDE MY CABIN MAKING IT HARD TO BREATH.

The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the contact stated that the engine had been replaced six times since the vehicle was purchased in 2018. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was informed that the engine would be replaced; however, the vehicle would not be replaced. The failure mileage was approximately 82,000.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact stated while attempting to shift into reverse the Back Over Prevention camera was inoperable. There were no warning lights illuminated; however, there was an unknown error message displayed. The contact also stated there was a trunk failure that affected the operation of the camera. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number 22V082000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
THE EVAPORATOR IS BROKEN AND LEAKING CAUSING A FOUL ODOR IN MY CAR. I'VE LOOKED ONLINE AND NOTICED THAT ALOT OF OTHER PEOPLE ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUE. I WENT TO THE FORD DEALERSHIP TO GET IT FIXED, AND I WAS QUOTED $2459.64. IF THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE FOR PEOPLE, IT SHOULD BE PUT OUT AS A RECALL INSTEAD OF HAVING PEOPLE PAY $2500 FOR DEFECTIVE PARTS.

MIKE CASTRUCCI FORD (1020 OH-28 MILFORD, OHIO 45150) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CONSIDERED NORMAL BY FORD. THE MANUFACTURER ALSO STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS NORMAL AND THAT IT WOULD BE REPAIRED PER A "ONE-TIME GESTURE". THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 6,800.
I am writing to formally request an investigation into a potential recall issue regarding a heated seat module and module plug on my vehicle. Below are the details of my vehicle for your reference: * Make/Model: 2015 Ford Mustang Ecoboost * VIN (Vehicle Identification Number): [XXX] * Mileage: 183,367 I have encountered a burning/melted plastic smell along with smoke coming from my heated/cooled seat module box while operating the vehicle. This issue has impacted safety, and reduced functionality. I have contacted the dealership, and had the part inspected but the issue persists. Upon reviewing similar concerns online and through forums, I noticed other owners reporting comparable problems, starting with many different 2015-2020 ford model vehicles, which leads me to believe this may be a widespread issue. I respectfully request that Ford initiate an investigation to determine if this problem warrants a recall. I also ask for guidance on how to address this issue in the interim to ensure the continued safety of myself and others on the road. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 42,000.
CAR FAILS TO START ON REPEATED OCCASIONS. CAR INFORMATION INDICATES BATTERY VOLTAGE IS AT A 14.3 ON MANY OCCASIONS BUT CAR WILL NOT START. LIGHTS COME ON AS WELL AS INTERIOR ITEMS LIKE RADIO AND INFORMATION WINDOW. ON ONE OCCASION CAR SHUT OFF WHILE IN TRAFFIC, AND TOOK A FEW MINUTES TO GET TO RESTART. WHEN PUSH BUTTON START IS PUSHED CAR ACTS LIKE IT WANTS TO CRANK BUT DOES NOT. WHEN THIS HAPPENS I HAVE TO GET A JUMP TO GET THE CAR STARTED. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO FORD DEALERSHIP FOR DIAGNOSTICS ONLY FOR THEM TO TELL ME NOTHING IS WRONG, BUT THIS HAS HAPPENED CLOSE TO 10X TIMES NOW WITH NO REMEDY. MUSTANG EXHIBITED SYMPTOMS OF AIR CONDITIONING BEING WARM, AFTER TAKEN TO FORD DEALERSHIP IT WAS REPORTED THAT A LEAKING EVAP CORE BEHIND THE DASH CAUSED THE ISSUE. THE ISSUE I'M REPORTING IS FORD HAS SEEN MULTIPLE FAILURES OF THIS NATURE WITH A LEAKING EVAP CORE WHICH SEEMS TO CAUSE R134 TO POSSIBLY LEAK INTO THE CABIN. THE ISSUE IS UNDETECTABLE UNTIL THE AIR CON QUITS WORKING.
FORD INVENTED A NEW GRILL SHUTTER AND IN 1 1/2 YEARS ITS BROKE . THEY NOW SAY IT NOT THERE FAULT AND $1,100 TO REPLACE THERE DEFECTIVE DESIGN .

THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE VEHICLE WAS LATER TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WAS A BLOWN HEAD GASKET. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V643000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 66,000.

The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring increasingly. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V082000 (Back Over Prevention). However, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted and informed the contact that they could not assist as parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TAKEN TO FERMAN FORD (24825 US HWY 19 N, CLEARWATER, FL 33763, (727) 797-2277) WHERE IT WAS ALSO DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR AND THE ENGINE STARTER PERFORMANCE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V774000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: CAS-13117095. I WAS IN A PARKING GARAGE EASING DOWN A RAMP AT 5 MPH WHEN THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN FORCING THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL OVER A SIXTEEN-INCH BARRICADE CAUSING THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE TO RISE SO FORCEFULLY THAT IT NEARLY FLIPPED UPSIDE DOWN. 2015 FORD MUSTANG HAS A CARBON MONOXIDE LEAK IN THE CABIN WHEN A/C IS ON. RECORDED CARBON MONOXIDE READINGS OF 28 PPM AND 17 PPM ONE WEEK APART USING A DIGITAL DETECTOR. TESTED MULTIPLE OTHER FAMILY CARS WITH SAME DETECTOR UNDER SAME CONDITIONS AND RECEIVED READINGS OF 0 PPM, INDICATING DETECTOR IS WORKING ACCURATELY. CAR ORIGINALLY HAD CRACKED EXHAUST AND STRONG FUMES THAT LEAKED INTO CABIN WITH A/C ON. CAR WAS BROUGHT INTO SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND EXHAUST/CATALYTIC CONVERTER WERE REPLACED. CARBON MONOXIDE CONTINUED TO LEAK INTO THE CAR INTERIOR AFTER REPAIR, AND CONTACT EXPERIENCED HEADACHES, NEAR LOSS OF CONSCIOUSNESS, DIZZINESS, FATIGUE, AND CHEST PAIN. MULTIPLE MEDICAL VISITS WERE MADE FOR THE EXPERIENCED SYMPTOMS. CAR WAS BROUGHT BACK TO SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND EXCEEDED THE REASONABLE REPAIR WAIT TIME AFTER STAYING 34 DAYS AT DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR REPAIR.

RECEIVED LETTER FORM FORD INDICATING THAT PARTS ARE AVAILABLE TO REPAIR MY VEHICLE. UPON CALLING THE DEALER THAT DID THE FIRST SERVICE, WAS INFORMED THAT T HEY DIDN'T HAVE THE PARTS. THEY WERE ALSO VERY NASTY ABOUT THE REQUEST. I CALLED THE DEALER FROM WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR AND WAS INFORMED THAT I COULD ONLY BRING THE CAR IN FOR THIS ON A WEEKDAY, REQUIRING THAT I TAKE A DAY OFF FROM WORK. ALSO VERY NASTY ABOUT THE REQUEST. THE RECALL IS NHTSA 16V-643.
THE OE TIRES ARE BAD AND HAVE BEEN REPLACED 3 OUT 4 OF THE TIRES AND ONE TIRE AN EXTRA TIME BECAUSE IT TOO WAS NOT ABLE TO BE BALANCED CORRECTLY . WHEN I DRIVE , I COMPLAIN OF A OUT OF ALIGNMENT FEELING ALL THE TIME AND OUR SOUND THAT TIRES MAKE (?).
WHITE SMOKE IN THE MORNING. VIBRATION, ENGINE POWER LOSS, THE HEAD FOR CYLINDER 1 IS WARP AND LEAKING COOLANT INTO CYLINDER 1 CAUSING THE WHITE SMOKE. SEVERAL OTHERS HAVE THIS SAME PROBLEM S VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR AND A COMMON PROBLEM WITH 2014 AND 2015. ITS STARTS WITH MISFIRE ERROR CODES AND ADVANCES TO THIS.

THE FOLLOWING IS WHAT'S HAPPENING. MAY 4, 2017 I HEARD A POPPING NOISE COMING FROM THE CLUTCH PEDAL WHILE DRIVING TO WORK. IT DID IT DURING THE DAY SO I PULLED THE VEHICLE INTO MY SHOP TO LOOK AT THE CLUTCH PEDAL TO SEE WHERE THE NOISE WAS COMING FROM. THE LINK FROM THE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER TO THE PEDAL WAS LOSE AND MAKING A POPPING NOISE. I RE SECURED THE LINK BY PRESSING THE ROD BACK ONTO THE PEDAL. SATURDAY MAY 6, 2017 AT 11:12 AM THE NOISE CAME BACK AND WHILE DRIVING I PUSHED THE PEDAL FAST FOUR TIMES AND THE LINK CAME LOSE WHILE DRIVING. I COASTED TO A STOP AND LOOK AT THE PEDAL AGAIN AND SAW THAT THE MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CAME COMPLETELY OFF. I RECONNECTED IT AND BEFORE I CONTINUE DRIVING THE CAR CONTACTED COURTESY FORD IN CONYERS, GA AND SET UP AN APPOINTMENT MONDAY MAY 8, 2017 AT 7 AM. ALSO DOING THIS TIME THE VEHICLE CUT OFF SEVERAL TIMES. IT HAPPENS WHEN I'M SITTING AT A LIGHT AND THE VEHICLE IS IDLING, COASTING IN NEUTRAL, COMING TO A STOP, TURNING. THE VEHICLE HAS CUT OFF AT LEAST 11 TIMES AND I HAVE DOCUMENTED IT. ALSO I RECORDED TWO VIDEOS WITH MY PHONE. AFTER THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO STALL, I DECIDED TO PARK THE VEHICLE FOR THE WEEK END AND PLAN TO TAKE IT TO THE FORD DEALER FOR THESE AND OTHER PROBLEMS.

TAKATA RECALL WHEN I HAVE MY AIR CONDITIONING ON WETHER I'M MOVING OR STILL IT WILL PULSATE, IT WILL BLOW HARD THEN SOFT OVER AND OVER WITHOUT ME CHANGING THE SPEED OF THE AIR BOTH ON HEAT AND COLD. IT STARTED DOING IT AT ABOUT 15,000 MILES.
I HAVE A 17 MUSTANG GT WITH MANUAL WITHIN THE FIRST 1000 MILES THE ENGINE HAS AUTOMATICALLY TURNED IT SELF OFF AFTER GETTING ON A INTERSTATE OR ANY TIME EXTRA POWER IS NEEDED. I WOULD WANT TO STOP SPEEDING UP I WOULD PUSH THE CLUTCH IN AND PUT IT IN 6TH AND WAIT FOR MY MPH DROP TO DESIRE SPEED, DURING THIS TIME IS WHEN THE ENGINE TURNS OFF. I HAVE WENT TO A FORD DEALERSHIP IN RICHMOND, VA AND THEY BASICALLY SAID THEY CAN'T FIND ANY ISSUES BECAUSE THEIR ARE NO CODES (THE CAR DIDN'T LEAVE THE PROPERTY). SO THIS ISSUE IS A HARD TO FIND A FIX AND MOST LIKELY WON'T GET FIXED TILL PEOPLE START GETTING IN ACCIDENTS OR DEATH BY ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THE UNPREDICTABLE ENGINE SHUT OFF.
CLEAR COAT ON WHEELS IS DISCOLORINGMAND SPIDER CRANKING FROM UNDERNEATH CLEAR COAT. FORD REPLACED THREE WHEELS IN APRIL 2017, FORD REPLACED ONE OF THOSE THREE AFTER THE SAMENESS DEFECT IN OCTOBER OF 2017, AND MOST RECENTLY FORD REPLACE THE TWO REAR WHEELS AGAIN, I AM CURRENTLY WAITING ON FORD TO APPROVE ANOTHER REPLACEMENT OF ONE OF THE FRONT WHEELS FOR A THIRD TIME DUE TO CLEAR COAT DISCOLORATION. The backup camera on my 2015 Mustang has been repaired twice and continues to fail to work. The wiring harness for the camera in the trunk lid, was repaired once under warranty and again at my expense. On both occasions it worked briefly and failed. It still does nor work. I see there are many complaints about this problem and there is currently a recall. I have not heard from Ford
CAR ENGINE SHUT OFF COMPLETELY WHILE DISENGAGING THE CLUTCH COMING TO A STOP ON BUSY ROADS WITH MY CHILD IN THE CAR.
ENGINE STALLS DURING IDLE AT STOP SIGNS AND STOP LIGHTS AND ALSO STALLS DURING INITIAL ACCELERATION UNDER 10 MPH. THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 25 TIMES OVER THE PAST YEAR. THERE ARE NO FAULT INDICATIONS ON THE DASH. I PLACE SIFTER BACK IN "PARK" AND ENGINE RESTARTS UNTIL THE NEXT TIME IT STALLS. THERE IS NO PRIOR INDICATION OF ANY KIND THAT THE ENGINE IS ABOUT TO STALL. THE ENGINE SIMPLY SHUTS OFF. HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALER TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE TWICE. THEY CANNOT DETERMINE THE CAUSE SO MAKE NO ATTEMPT TO DO ANY COMPONENT REPLACEMENTS. I CONTACTED FORD MOTOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS AND THEY STARTED A CASE FILE ON THIS, CAS-12064085. I HAVE EXPRESSED MY CONCERN OVER AND OVER AGAIN THAT MY CAR MAY STALL AT THE WRONG PLACE AT THE WRONG TIME AND POSSIBLY CAUSE A COLLISION. BOTH THE DEALER AND FORD MOTOR COMPANY SEEMED "TOTALLY" DISINTERESTED. ALL THEY SAY IS "SORRY WE CANNOT HELP YOU".
THE BREAK PEDAL IS TOO CLOSE TO THE ACCELARATOR AND IF YOU PRESS DOWN FAR ENOUGH OF THE BRAKE, YOUR FOOT MAY ALSO TOUCH THE ACCELERATOR, THUS CAUSING THE CAR TO ACCELERATE WHILE YOU ARE TRYING TO SLOW DOWN OR STOP. I CONTACTED THE DEALER AS WELL AS THE DISTRICT OFFICE, BUT THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG. FINALLY, THEY HAD SOMEONE RIDE WITH ME AND THEY NOTICED THAT AT A CERTAIN POINT, MY FOOT WAS COMING IN CONTACT WITH THE ACCERARATOR BY MAYBE 1/8". THE DEALER SAID THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT FIXING IT BECAUSE THERE HAD BEEN NO RECALL ISSUED. I HAVE HAD NUMEROUS OCCASIONS WHERE I HAVE ALMOST BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS, EVEN AFTER I BECAME AWARE OF THE ISSUE. I CAN'T BELEIEV THAT I AM THE ONLY ONE IN THE COUNTRY WHO HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM, AND MY FEET ARE NOT THAT BIG. I BELIEVE BY MOVING THE BRAKE PEDAL TO THE LEFT ABOUT 1/4" WILL RESOLVE THE ISSUE. THE DEALER SAID THEY WOULD DO IT WHEN/IF A RECALL WAS ISSUED. AS STATED BEFORE, THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED BEYOND A CERTAIN POINT, WHICH IS USUALLY WHEN HARD BRAKING, OR A QUICK SLOWDOWN IS REQUIRED AND THERE IS NO TIME TO THINK ABOUT WHERE YOUR FOOT IS IN RELATION TO THE ACCELERATOR.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Mustang. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V082000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact had been observing an intermittent problem with the back-up camera for more than 5 years. The contact had taken the vehicle to a dealer who diagnosed that the camera needed to be replaced; however, the part was not available to repair the vehicle. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000. RODENTS HAVE BEEN CHEWING ON THE WIRING UNDER THE HOOD. I FEEL THIS IS DUE TO THE SOYBASED WIRING COATING THAT IS BEING USED ON NEWER VEHICLES. 1ST INCIDENT. THE AC WIRING WAS EFFECTED. 2ND INCIDENT 2 WEEKS LATER ENGINE WIRES WERE CHEWED UP. THIS SEEMS VERY SIMILAR TO THE CURRENT HONDA RODENT ISSUES THAT A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT IS CURRENTLY FILED FOR. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED UNDER MY CARPORT OVER NIGHT. IT IS A DAILY DRIVER USED EVERYDAY.

LOWER AIRBAG IN DRIVER FOOTWELL INFLATED ONLY. DRIVER SEATBELT RETRACTOR IS NOT LOCKED POTENTIALLY SHOULD BE IMMOBILIZED. DRIVER OF MUSTANG SUFFERED 2 BROKEN RIBS, 2 CRACKED RIBS, AND A CRACKED STERNUM. HER FACE ALSO STRUCK THE STEERING WHEEL AND CAUSED HER TO BECOME UNCONSCIOUS FOR A LITTLE WHILE . BOTH VEHICLES TOWED FROM SCENE, MUSTANG DRIVER DID NOT REALIZE HER INJURIES AND WENT TO THE HOSPITAL THE FOLLOWING DAY. COMPLAINTS OF CHEST PAIN, WHICH IS WHEN X-RAYS WERE TAKEN AND THE BODILY INJURIES WERE DETERMINED.
PURCHASED 2015 MUSTANG 5.0 WITH ONLY 6000 MILES.
