THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT RUBBER TREAD PIECES WERE VISIBLY SEPARATED FROM THE TIRE. THE FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED, BUT NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE LOCAL DEALER (NORM REEVES FORD, 18900 STUDEBAKER RD, CERRITOS, CA) WAS ALSO NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE VIN AND DOT NUMBER WERE UNKNOWN. THE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 10,000.
