@31000 MLES,TRUNK LID NO LONGER RESPONDS TO KEY FOB. OPENING TRUNK REQUIRES INSIDE LEVER ACTION. ESTIMATED COST TO REPAIR SEEMS OUT OF REASON FOR A PART THAT FAILED WHILE CAR WAS IN GARAGE.
I HAVE A 2013 HONDA ACCORD AND I HAVE BEEN THE ONLY OWNER. I RECENTLY HAD TO REPLACE THE STARTER! IT'S REDICULOUS TO HAVE TO DO THAT ON A 2013. I WOULD PRESS THE START BUTTON AND IT WOULD JUST CLICK. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS, IT WOULD FINALLY START.
MY MOTHER OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD LX AND SHE WAS PUT INTO A VERY DANGEROUS POSITION TODAY AND HONDA IS LUCKY THAT NO ONE WAS KILLED OR SERIOUSLY INJURED!! SHE WAS PULLING INTO A PARKING STALL AT HER WORKPLACE, HER FOOT WAS ON THE BRAKE AND SHE WAS CREEPING INTO THE STALL AS PER NORMAL. THE CAR THEN SUDDENLY ACCELERATED ONTO A BUNCH OF BUSHES AND THE SIDE WALK BEFORE SHE WAS ABLE TO COMPLETELY STOP THE VEHICLE. THIS IS A WELL DOCUMENTED PROBLEM ONLINE WITH HUNDREDS OF STORIES SHARING THE EXACT SAME THING (PLEASE SEE LINK HTTP://WWW.CARPROBLEMZOO.COM/HONDA/ACCORD/CAR-ACCELERATES-ON-ITS-OWN-PROBLEMS.PHP). HONDA NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS PROBLEM AND TAKE COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY AND FIX IT ASAP! THEY COMPLETELY SIDE-STEPPED MY DIRECT LINE OF QUESTIONING AND ARE HIDING SOMETHING. I AM FILING A FORMAL POLICE REPORT WITH LOCAL HOUSTON PD. THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED OR THE NHTSA AND HONDA WILL HAVE A LAW SUIT ON THEIR HANDS.
JUST ONE DAY AGO I WAS DRIVING MY HONDA ACCORD EX-L SEDAN 2013 AND I WENT TO TURN UNDER THE UNDERPASS AND THE STEERING WHEEL RANDOMLY LOCKED UP ON ME AND I COULD BARELY TURN THE STEERING WHEEL SO I PANICKED AND I MUST OF HIT THE GAS PEDAL WHILE TRYING TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE, BUT I COULDN'T TURN IT ENOUGH AND I RAN OVER THE CURB AND INTO THE UNDERPASSES CEMENT PILLAR TOTALING THE CAR SO THE NEXT DAY I WOKE UP AND WAS SO CONFUSED BY WHAT HAPPENED BECAUSE THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE AND WHEN I LOOKED UP WHAT HAPPENED TO ME IT SEEMS THAT PLENTY OF PEOPLE HAVE REPORTED THE SAME ISSUE, BUT MOST OF THEM ENDED UP FINE, BUT SINCE I WAS TRYING TO MAKE A TURN THAT THE CAR WOULDN'T LET ME MAKE ONCE I ALREADY ENGAGED IN TRYING TO TURN I WASN'T AS FORTUNATE AS THOSE OTHER DRIVERS LUCKILY I WASN'T KILLED OR SERIOUSLY INJURED.
WE PURCHASED THE HONDA ACCORD 2013 V6 10/22/2017. STEERING WHEEL WAS TIGHT WE NOTICED ,THAT NIGHT OF THE 23RD, 2ND TIME DRIVING IT MY SON TURNED THE CORNER AND THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED AND HE RAN INTO THE CEMENT POLE AND TOTALED HIS CAR. WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE IT ONE FULL DAY. WE LATER LOOKED UP ON THE INTERNET THAT HONDA WAS UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR POWER STEERING LOCKING UP OR ELECTRICAL AND SAW PEOPLE TOTALED THERE CARS OR HAD THE SAME ISSUES 464K CASES. MY SON WAS HURT BUT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE. HONDA NEEDS TO BE SUED FOR THIS AND I WANT IN ON IT. THE CAR WAS IN MY NAME I BOUGHT FOR MY 21 YR OLD SON AFTER HIS CAR FLOODED IN HARVEY. SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE IMMEDIATELY.
THE STARTING CAN'T START THE CAR AND I HAD IT REPLACED AND IT STILL WON'T START. I'VE SEEN A LOT OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE 2013 HONDA ACCORD STARTER AND I DON'T KNOW WHY IT HASN'T BEEN RECALLED
RECEIVED CARD FOR AIRBAG RECALL
TRIED TO START THE CAR. THE VEHICLE JUST LIGHTS UP WILL NOT START BY PUSHING BUTTON. JUST CLICKING AND LIGHTS INSIDE FLICKERING. THIS PROBLEM IS CAUSING ME TO MISS WORK. GOT IN THIS CAR TO GO TO WORK BUT WILL NOT START.
THE CAR WILL NOT START INTERMITTENTLY. SOMETIMES IT CAN TAKE 10-30 MINUTES TO TRY AND START IT WITH THE KEY. YOU WILL TURN THE KEY AND IT CLICKS BUT NOTHING ENGAGES. WE HAD A NEW KEY MADE THINKING IT MAY BE THE CHIP IN THE KEY CAUSING IT NOT TO START. THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. TOOK IT IN TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP TODAY AFTER MY DAUGHTER BEING STRANDED YESTERDAY BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T CRANK. SERVICE TECH SAYS ITS THE STARTER. OBVIOUSLY THESE 2013 HONDAS HAVE AN ISSUE, IT'S ALL OVER GOOGLE AND YOUTUBE WITH MANY PEOPLE HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AND ALL LOW MILEAGE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GWINNETT PLACE HONDA (3325 SATELLITE BLVD, DULUTH, GA 30096) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE STARTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO NHTSA. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 85,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO HONDA OF CONCORD (7650 BRUTON SMITH BLVD, CONCORD, NC 28027) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BATTERY AND STARTER NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V418000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 32,000.
STARTER IS BAD WILL NOT START BROUGHT CAR TO A MECHANIC. HE RECOMMENDED ME TO GET A NEW STARTER. CHECKED BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR WELL WITHIN WORKING PARAMETERS.

VSM BRAKES MODULATOR FAILED AS SOON AS I BOUGHT IT AND PAID FIX 1600. I'VE FOUND THE MODULATOR WIRE MADE BY SOYBEANS AND RABIT OR MOUSE BITED IT AND BROKE IT. THE CAR COMPANY MUST PROMISS FOR SAFE TO THE DRIVER AND IT HAPPENS BY MAKER'S FAILURE THAT MADE BY SOYBEANS TO INVOLVE THE ANIMAL CHEWED TO THREATEN SAFETY.
ON FRI SEPT 29TH, 2017 I HAD AN SUA (SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION) IN MY 2013 HONDA ACCORD THAT DEVASTATED PART OF AN OFFICE BUILDING AND WRECKED MY CAR. I WAS IN AN OFFICE PARK PARKING LOT AND BACKED UP, HIT A 3 FOOT HIGH CONCRETE BOLLARD, WAS ANNOYED, PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE, FELT AN ODD LURCH AS THOUGH THE BUMPER WAS STUCK ON SOMETHING ALTHOUGH IT WAS NOT. I PUT MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR AND AT THAT MOMENT THE CAR RAPIDLY ACCELERATED TO WHAT FELT LIKE 30 OR 40 MILES AN HOUR. I TRIED TO BRAKE BUT IT FELT AS THOUGH THERE WAS NO PRESSURE UNDER MY FOOT. I GRIPPED THE STEERING WHEEL IN TERROR AND STEERED THE CAR AWAY FROM OTHER PARKED CARS AND INTO A CONCRETE WHEELCHAIR RAMP WITH RAILS AND AN OFFICE BUILDING. THE AIR BAG WENT OFF. THE CONCRETE RAMP AND OFFICE BUILDING STOPPED THE CAR IN ITS TRACKS. I PUT IT IN PARK AND GOT OUT. I'M DOING OK BUT MOSTLY VERY VERY GRATEFUL I DIDN'T HURT OR KILL ANYONE. MINOR AIRBAG BURN ON MY ARM AND A CONTUSION TO MY KNEE. I FEEL THE AIRBAG ONLY CAME OUT A LITTLE AND HIT MY LEFT ARM, NOT THE REST OF MY BODY. BUT I COULD BE WRONG ABOUT THAT. I'M GLAD BECAUSE AS A PHYSICAL THERAPIST I'VE SEEN SOME NASTY AIR BAG INJURIES. ALSO I DID NOT HAVE MY SEAT BELT ON BECAUSE I OFTEN PUT IT ON AS I LEAVE A PARKING LOT. THE POLICEMAN WHO CAME TO THE SCENE WOULD TESTIFY TO THE FACT THAT I WAS COMPLETELY SANE AND SOBER AT THE TIME. TODAY, WE HEARD THE CAR WILL BE APPRAISED AS TOTALED. GOOD NEWS MEANING IT WILL NO LONGER BE DRIVEN.
MOUSE NEST DISCOVERED IN ENGINE AFTER MALFUNCTION LIGHT CAME ON. MOUSE CHEWED THROUGH TUBES TO GAS TANK RESULTING IN NEEDING A WHOLE NEW GAS TANK. LIGHT FIRST CAME ON AFTER BEING PARKED IN MY DRIVEWAY.

BATTERY A PIECE TO BE PLACED ON THE BATTERY SENSOR TO PREVENT MOISTURE FROM ENTERING TO PREVENT A FIRE
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED FAILURES WITH THE STARTER ON HER VEHICLE. THE CONTACT WAS NOT ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE AND HAD IT TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE STARTER FAILED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE DEALER WAS NOT NOTIFIED, BUT THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000.
CAR CAUGHT FIRE STARTING IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT. WAS STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT, IN LEFT TURN LANE, WHEN SMOKE WAS FIRST NOTICED. I GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND FIRE PROGRESSED IN A FEW MINUTES TO WHERE FLAMES WERE COMING OUT FROM UNDER THE HOOD. LOCAL FIRE COMPANY EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. CAR APPEARS TO BE A TOTAL LOSS. SAFETY RECALL NHTSA 17V-418 WAS ONLY RECENTLY RECEIVED AND HAD NOT YET GOTTEN THE CAR TO THE DEALER.
AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO., INC. (HONDA) IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR2013 ACCORD VEHICLES. IN CERTAIN VEHICLES, THE PLASTIC CASEOF THE BATTERY SENSOR MAY HAVE GAPS THAT ALLOW MOISTURE TO ENTER THE SENSOR. IF MOISTURE CONTAINING CONDUCTIVE SUBSTANCES (SUCH AS ROAD SALT) ENTERS THE BATTERY SENSOR, IT COULD CAUSE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT AND SUBSEQUENTLY, A FIRE. RECALL DATE: JUNE 29, 2017. SO FAR NO ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN. NOW FALL SEASON IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. I AM CONCERNING ABOUT SAFETY OF MY VEHICLE ABOUT ELECTRICAL SHORT CIRCUIT RESULT IN FIRE. I CHECKED WITH HONDA DEALER LAST WEEK. HE SAID PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO REPLACE IT.
POWER STEERING FAILURE SHOWS UP ON THE DASHBOARD, AND POWER STEERING FAILS. AFTER TURNING OFF/ ON CAR THE PROBLEM IS RESOLVED, BUT THIS KEEPS HAPPENING. TOOK TO THE DEALERSHIP, BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THEY SUSPECTED IT COULD BE DUE TO THE BATTERY, WHICH I HAD REPLACED. ONCE I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AGAIN. I HAVE BEEN READING ABOUT PROBLEM REGARDING THE POWER STEERING IN 2013 HONDA ACCORDS ALL OVER THE INTERNET.
THIS IS CAR HAS 54,000 MILES ON IT AND USES ABOUT 1QT OF OIL EVERY 1,000 MILES! I CURRENLTY HAVE 40% LEFT ON MY OIL CHANGE AND IT WAS 3 QUARTS LOW! VERY EXCESSIVE OIL CONSUMPTION!! SO DISAPPOINTED IN MY FIRST HONDA.
TAKATA RECALL. I WAS CHECKING UNDER THE HOOD OF MY HONDA AND I CHECKED MY OIL LEVEL AND THERE WAS NOT A DROP OF OIL IN THE ENGINE. I DIDNT KNOW WHY THIS WAS SO I CHANGED THE OIL FAST TO PREVENT THE ENGINE FROM DAMAGING. NOW 1400 MILES AFTER MY OIL CHANGE THE ENGINE IS HALF WAY DRY OF OIL. MY CAR IS A 2013 HONDA ACCORD WITH ONLY 42000 MILES ON IT, IT SHOULD NOT BE BURNING OIL.
MY 2013 HONDA ACCORD HAS AN AUTOMATIC STARTER AND THE STARTER HAS NOT BEEN WORKING PROPERLY. THE VEHICLE HAS JUST OVER 50K MILES ON IT. WHEN YOU PRESS THE AUTOMATIC STARTED THE VEHICLE APPEARS TO POWER ON BUT THE STARTER IS NOT WORKING. EACH TIME THIS HAPPENED, IT WOULD TAKE 5-10 MINUTES BEFORE IT ACTUALLY STARTS.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE MIGHT BE DUE TO THE LOW TEMPERATURES IN FLORIDA. THE SENSOR DID NOT IDENTIFY WHICH TIRES MAY HAVE LOW TIRE PRESSURE. THE DEALER INFORMATION WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 65,000.
SINCE LAST FALL, ENGINE DOES START ONLY AFTER MULTIPLE TRIES OF PUSHING THE BUTTON. LATELY WE NEED A LOT MORE TRIES BEFORE STARTING THE CAR. BASED ON THE SYMPTOMS ON FILE, IT LOOKS LIKE IT IS THE STARTER.
THE CAR HAS A PUSH BUTTON CRANK ALSO WOULDN'T START AT ALL AND HAD TO JUMP STAT IT THE OTHER DAY AFTER WORK. AT TIMES IT TAKES SEVERAL TRIES FOR CAR TO CRANK. IT IS SAID TO BE THE STARTER THE CAR IN VERY OLD LOW MILEAGE AND HONDA HAS HAD MULTIPLE COMPLAINS AND THIS IS NOT BEEN RECALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS JUMP STARTED AT MY WORK IN GRAHAM NC. FEEL THAT HONDA IS NOT RESPONDING TO THE COMPLAINTS AND FIXING THE ISSUE. WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER HONDA IF THIS IS WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE THEY HAVE REGARDING THREAT PRODUCTS!

THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED DIRECTLY; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WROTE A LETTER TO THE CEO. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 79,000.
RECENTLY HAD THE RECALL FOR THE BATTERY SENSOR DONE ON THE VEHICLE. NEXT DAY THE CAR HAS INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS STARTING. RETURNED TO DEALER BATTERY TESTS GOOD ALTERNATOR TESTS GOOD. PROBLEM WAS INDUCED ONLY AFTER BMS SENSOR RECAL. NEVER HAD ISSUE PRIOR HONDA TELLS ME ITS NOT THE SENSOR

SOMETIMES WHEN THE KEY IS TURNED, NOTHING HAPPENS. THE CAR WON'T START. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER 16 AUG 2017. THEY WANTED TO CHANGE THE STARTER. I SAID NO. THIS IS A CAR WITH LESS THAN 50,000 MILES. SOMETIMES I NEED TO TURN THE KEY SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE IT STARTS OR CRANKS OR DOES ANYTHING. DEALER ALSO SAID IT WOULDN'T START WITH THEM.
MY CAR IS 2013 ACCORD BOUGHT BRAND NEW FROM GARDENA HONDA AND NO OTHER MECHANIC TOUCHED IT. SINCE 2013, I HAVE SERVICED MY CAR AT THE SAME LOCATION. MY CAR WAS PERFECTLY FINE HOWEVER, ONCE I RECEIVED THE BATTERY RECALL LETTER I DECIDED TO TAKE MY CAR INTO GARDENA HONDA. PLEASE NOTE MY CAR STILL HAS LESS THAN 30,000 MILES ON IT. AUGUST 2017 I WENT TO GET MY CAR CHECKED FOR THE BATTERY RECALL THEY SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE AND THAT THEY APPLIED KONSHI BOND TO PROTECT BMS. TWO DAYS LATER AFTER WORK MY CAR DID NOT START (STATIONARY). CHECK ENGINE WAS ON, CHECK STEERING LIGHT ON & TRACTION LIGHT ON PLUS LOW PRESSURE ON. I IMMEDIATELY FELT UNSAFE TO DRIVE MY CAR BUT HAD TO TAKE IT BACK TO HONDA TO SEE WHAT THEY HAD DONE TO IT. HONDA SAID IT WAS NOT THEIR FAULT AND THAT NOW THE PROBLEM HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY BATTERY. INSTEAD, IT WAS MY ENGINE WIRE HARNESS. THAT NEEDED TO BE FIXED FOR A PRICE OF ~$2,800 BUT THEY COULD LOWER IT TO $669.15 + TAX I JUST WANT TO EXPRESS HOW DISAPPOINTED I AM IN HONDA. I BOUGHT A HONDA BECAUSE THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE A RELIABLE CAR. BACK IN MARCH 2016 THEY TOLD ME BY BATTERY FAILED THE BATTERY TEST AND DECIDED TO CHARGE IT. NOVEMBER 2016, THEY MADE ME BUY A NEW BATTERY, AT THAT TIME MY CAR WAS STILL BRAND NEW WITH ONLY 22,000 MILES ON IT. I DON'T BELIEVE THIS IS COINCIDENCE. I GOT A HONDA FOR RELIABILITY REASONS. I ALSO KNOW YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO SERVICE THE CAR FOR THE SAME ISSUE 3 TIMES AND I SHOULDN'T BE CONCERN OF MY 2013 HONDA CAR THAT STILL HAS LESS THAN 30,000 MILES OF ANY ELECTRICAL ISSUES. I AM CONCERN OF SERVICE FRAUD BECAUSE I WAS CHARGE TO RECHARGED AND REPLACE THE BATTERY. ONE TIME I WAS WITHIN WARRANTY AND THE OTHER WAS JUST A FEW MONTHS AFTERWARD. I AM REQUESTING A REIMBURSEMENT OF SOME MANNER; IT CAN BE MONETARY OR FREE SERVICING MY CAR.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO HONDA OF HACKETTSTOWN (48 US-46, HACKETTSTOWN, NJ 07840 (908) 852-6200) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A MALFUNCTIONING STARTER MOTOR THAT NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE, BUT DID NOT ASSIST. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,536.
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT (ITS A LITTLE ORANGE STEERING WHEEL WITH AN ! NEXT TO IT) COMES ON AND THE WHEEL BECOMES VERY HARD TO TURN. THE CAR ALSO FEEL UNSTABLE AS IF I WERE DRIVING OVER A BRIDGE IN HIGH WIND. THIS HAS HAPPEND TWICE SO FAR IN THE LAST TWO DAYS. BOTH TIMES WERE AT NIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY ABOUT 20 MINUTES INTO A 45 MIN COMMUTE. LUCKILY FOR ME IT WAS LATE AT NIGHT SO I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER WITHOUT INCIDENT. TURNING OFF THE CAR AND RESTARTING IT AFTER A MINUTE TEMPORARILY FIXED THE PROBLEM.
DEAR SIR/MADAM:I BOUGHT MY CAR IN 2013 AND MY BATTERY WENT BAD THIS YEAR. I CONTACTED HONDA TO INFORM THAT IT IS UNUSUAL TO GET THE BATTERY WENT BAD WITHIN 3 YEARS WHEN I WAS USING IT VERY CAREFUL. I ASKED THEM TO CHANGE THE BATTERY AND THEY REFUSED TO TAKE ANY LIABILITY SINCE THEY SAID IT IS REGULAR WEAR AND TEAR. I TOLD THEM EVEN AAA GIVE 5 YEAR WARRANTY ON THEIR BATTERY. LAST MONTH, I RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM HONDA STATING THE FOLLOWING: "AMERICAN HONDA MOTOR CO., INC. (HONDA) IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2013 - 2016 ACCORD VEHICLES. IN CERTAIN VEHICLES, THE PLASTIC CASE OF THE BATTERY SENSOR MAY HAVE GAPS THAT ALLOW MOISTURE TO ENTER THE SENSOR. SAFETY RISK: IF MOISTURE CONTAINING CONDUCTIVE SUBSTANCES (SUCH AS ROAD SALT) ENTERS THE BATTERY SENSOR, IT COULD CAUSE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT AND SUBSEQUENTLY, A FIRE." THEY STILL REFUSED TO REIMBURSE ME $300.00 OF WHAT I PAID FOR MY BATTERY ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE RECALL.
EVERY TIME I TRY TO START MY CAR IT WON'T START. I HAVE TO TRY MAYBE 4 OR MORE TIMES BEFORE IT WILL START. THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING BECAUSE THIS CAR IS 3 YEARS OLD. WHEN I'M AT WORK AND GO TO START THE CAR IT STAGS. THIS IS VERY DISTURBING. THIS PROBABLY HAPPENS EVERYDAY. EVERYTHING IS ON BUT IT STILL TAKES MANY ATTEMPTS TO START. I CONTACTED HONDA ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND THEY SAID THEY HAVE BEEN GETTING MANY COMPLAINTS BUT DIDN'T OFFER A SOLUTION,SAID THEY WOULD GET BACK WITH ME. READING OTHER COMPLAINTS I THINK THIS NEED TO BE ADDRESSED.
INTERMITTENT STARTING ISSUES, PUSH START BUTTON, CAR MAKES GRINDING NOISES AND CLICKING, BRAKE THEN LOCKS DOWN TO THE FLOOR. AFTER REPEATED ATTEMPTS TO PUSH BUTTON, CAR WILL EVENTUALLY START..THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM, HAS OCCURED AT LEAST 6 TIMES IN PAST 4 MONTHS. DOES NOT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME. HAVE HAD CAR TO HONDA DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC, THEY CANNOT FIND PROBLEM BUT STATE THERE HAS BEEN MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS FROM OTHER HONDA CONSUMERS. THIS ISSUE HAS NO CERTAIN TIME OF HAPPENING, HAS OCCURED ON A COLD AND WARM START. I NEVER KNOW WHEN CAR WILL START OR NOT. TAKING CAR BACK TO HONDA SERVICE NEXT WEEK TO TRY TO DIAGNOSE AGAIN.

IN THE FEW YEARS I'VE HAD MY CAR, WHICH I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF AND HAVE LOW MILEAGE ON, THE POWER STEERING STOPPED WORKING SUDDENLY WHILE I WAS DRIVING (VERY SCARY AND DANGEROUS!), THE DRIVER'S SIDE SUN VISOR BROKE ONE DAY WHEN I WAS TRYING TO PUT IT BACK UP, AND THE DASHBOARD SENSORS GO OFF UNNECESSARILY. VERY DISAPPOINTING FROM A HONDA VEHICLE. BEWARE!
VEHICLE IS 2013 AND I HAVE REPLACED THE STARTED AND BATTERY 4 TIMES DUE TO ENGINE FAILURE, IT TURN ON AND IMMEDIATLY DIES OFF, MY CAR HAS BEEN TOWED 6 TIMES OR MORE SINCE I BOUGHT, I HAVE DONE ALL THE MAINTENANCE ALL THE TIME AND COMPUTER NEVER IDENTIFIES THIS PROBLEM. I AM SO TIRED OF THIS TRASH CAR, I STILLOWE ON IT OR ELSE I WOULD JUST PARK IT ON THE FRONT LOT OF A DEALER AND PUT A BIG SIGN SAYING DO NOT BUY HONDA ACCORDS, MANY PROBLEMS ALWAYS. LASTLY, I ASKED THE DRIVER FOR THE TOW TRUCK WHICH KIND OF CARS HE TOWS THE MOST DUE TO ENGINE FAILURE AND HE SAID, LAUGHING "HONDAS"...FIRST TIME IT FAIL TO START WAS AT 54K MILES.
THE I4 ENGINE WILL NOT START INTERMITTENTLY. THE BATTERY IS NEW AND FULLY CHARGED. MANY TIMES, I GET IT STARTED BY STRAIGHTENING THE STEERING WHEEL. THE CAR IS 4 YEARS OLD WITH 51K MILES SO OUTSIDE OF WARRANTY. THE DEALER WANTS A DIAGNOSTIC FEE TO TEST OTHER COMPONENTS. THIS IS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS TO CONSUMERS FOR THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENT BUT ALSO A CONSUMER HAZARD IN TERMS OF SAFETY NOT TO MENTION T REPUTATIONAL RISK TO HONDA.
I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND THE STEERING LOCKED, THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE ON 07/18/2017 AND 04/20/2017. I THANK GOD FOR MY LIFE
WHILE DRIVING WITH THE AC FOR 15 MINUTES; A LITTLE SMOKE STARTS TO COME OUT OF THE CENTER CONSOLES TWO VENTS. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS EVERY TIME WE DRIVE FOR OVER 15 MINUTES. THE SMOKE LAST FOR UP TO 30 SECONDS THEN STOPS. ONCE IT IS DONE, A SLIGHT ODOR OF BURNED ELECTRICAL CAN BE NOTICED.
THE FIRST TIME, WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, MY CAR STEERED TO THE RIGHT AS I WAS DRIVING WEST. IT WAS LIKE I WAS LOOSING CONTROL. IT TERRIFIED ME. IT SEEMED LIKE I WAS ABOUT TO GO OVER THE BRIDGE. IT SCARED ME SO BAD THAT I BEGAN HAVING ANXIETY ISSUES WHEN DRIVING OVER A BRIDGE. IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL OTHER TIMES AS WELL. I CAN NO LONGER DRIVE ON THE HIGHWAY BECAUSE I AM TERRIFIED. I NOW ONLY DRIVE STREETS AT 35 TO 40 MPH. PLEASE LISTEN TO WHAT I AM SAYING. I FELT LIKE THAT IT WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CAR BUT DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO DO. I THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS JUST MY IMAGINATION SO I SOUGHT PSYCHIATRIC ADVICE. THE DOCTOR DIAGNOSED ME HAS BEING AFRAID OF HEIGHT, BUT I KNEW BETTER. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THESE HIGHWAYS FOR YEARS AND NEVER HAD ANY FEARS. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE RECALL THESE CARS. PLEASE DON'T LET THERE HAVE TO BE AN ACCIDENT BEFORE SOMETHING IS DONE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. WE BOUGHT THESE CARS IN GOOD FAITH OF BEING ONE OF THE FINEST. BECAUSE I FELT LIKE IT WAS THE CAR, I HAVE ALREADY DECIDED TO GET RID OF MINES AS SOON AS I CAN.
THE ENGINE STARTED EXCESSIVELY CONSUMING OIL ONCE IT PASSED 60,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. IT APPEARS TO BE BURNING OIL AT A RATE OF 1/2 QUART PER 1,000 MILES.
VEHICLE HAS HAD TO BE TOWED TWICE IN THE PAST FOUR MONTHS DUE TO FAILURE TO START, ONLY CLICKING SOUND. BEFORE COMPLETELY UNABLE TO START, I WOULD HAVE TO TRY 3 OR MORE TIMES FOR IT TO START. FIRST TIME I CHANGED THE BATTERY AN VEHICLE WAS OK FOR A WHILE BUT THEN STARTED FAILING TO START INTERMITTENTLY AND WOULD ONLY START AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. I DO NOT MIND REPLACING THE STARTER BUT IT BOTHERS ME BECAUSE THE VEHICLE IS ONLY 3-4 YEAR OLD AND BELIEVE REPLACING THE STARTER MAY NOT FIX THE PROBLEM IN THE LONG RUN AS IT WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED WITH THE SAME STARTERS THAT ARE FAILING.
