The vehicle was taken to an undisclosed dealer where it was diagnosed that the ABS relay switch box was faulty and the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V026000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the failure recurred. The undisclosed dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to bring the vehicle to the dealer to be diagnosed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case number. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR AS THE RECALL NOTICE WAS RECEIVED OVER TWO MONTHS AGO. THE DEALER (SOUTH LOOP HYUNDAI, 8811 LAKES AT 610 DR, HOUSTON, TX 77054) WAS CONTACTED AND CONFIRMED THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE RECALL REMEDY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
HEARD ON TV ABOUT THE RECALL ABOUT THE MOTOR AND BRAKES. NOONE HAS CONTACTED ME ABOUT THIS RECALL.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT A VACUUM LINE WITH A VALVE IN IT FAILED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 92,000.
