THE DEALER (SOUTH POINT HYUNDAI, 4610 S IH 35 FRONTAGE RD, AUSTIN, TX 78745, 877-824-3142) WAS CONTACTED AND STATED THAT THE PART WAS UNAVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE PART WOULD BE SUPPLIED TO THE DEALER. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR ROUTINE SERVICE AND THE VEHICLE PASSED INSPECTION. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL NOISE PROGRESSING. THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THAT THERE WERE METAL PARTICLES IN THE ENGINE CRANKSHAFT. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED THAT THE ENGINE BE REPLACED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V568000 (ENGINE). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED NO SOLUTION OTHER THAN THE CONTACT REPLACING THE PART. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 174,000.
TAKATA RECALL FOR AN ISSUE IN THE STEERING COLUMN OF THE 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. STEERING FEELS LOOSE, MAKES A CLICKING NOISE AND VIBRATES WHEN THE WHEEL IS TURNED OR EVEN WHEN YOU JUST HIT A BUMP . VERY WELL KNOWN ISSUE WITH ANYONE WHO HAS A SONATA. DEALERSHIP STATES THAT IT IS NOT A RECALL YET AS THE RUBBER COUPLER WEARS OUT.
ENGINE DIED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY - WOULD NOT RESTART AND WAS NOT ABLE TO JUMP IT - TOWED 50 + MILES BACK HOME -
I NOTICED QUITE A BIT OF PLAY AND A CLICKING NOISE IN THE STEERING OF MY SON'S CAR. UPON TAKING IT TO MY WONDERFUL MECHANIC, LEARNED HE'S SEEN AT LEAST 4 HYUNDAI SONATAS IN THE PAST MONTH WITH THE SAME ISSUE. HE SAID HE BELIEVED IT WAS A RECALL SO I SHOULD TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. WHEN TALKING TO THE SERVICE MANAGER AT THE DEALERSHIP, HE WAS ALMOST CERTAIN OF THE PROBLEM AS HE'S SEEN MORE OF THE SAME THAN MY MECHANIC. HE SAID IT'S NOT A RECALL AND I WAS MISINFORMED (BUT KUDOS TO MY HONEST AND FORTHRIGHT MECHANIC FOR NOT BEING GREEDY). THE PROBLEM, BOTH OF THEM TOLD ME, A WEARING OF THE PICTURED RUBBER GEAR DEEP INSIDE THE STEERING COLUMN. MY MECHANIC SHOWED MELD THE OLD AND NEW PARTS NOTING IF THIS HAD BEEN LEFT AND CONTINUE TO WEAR, THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD HAVE TURNED BUT THE TIRES WOULD NOT HAVE! I AM SICKENED THIS RECALL HAS NOT COME TO FRUITION. HYUNDAI NEEDS TO EXPEDITE THE ISSUE OF A RECALL BEFORE MORE PEOPLE ARE INJURED AND/OR KILLED.
KNOCKING OR CLICKING OR RATTLING SOUND IS HEARD ANY TIME I DRIVE OVER 50 MPH AND ESPECIALLY WHEN SLOWING DOWN FROM HIGHWAY SPEEDS, IN WHICH CASE THE NOISE BECOMES VERY LOUD AND THE STEERING COLUMN PHYSICALLY SHAKES. I FEEL ENDANGERED WHENEVER I DRIVE THIS CAR. IT IS A HAZARD AND A POTENTIAL LIFE-THREATENING DEFECT. I PUT TODAY'S DATE BUT THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR MONTHS AND IS NOW STARTING IN MY WIFE'S CAR (SAME MAKE MODEL YEAR) AS WELL.
RATTLING SOUND COMING FROM LEFT FRONT AREA OF CAR WHEN DRIVING, ESPECIALLY OVER BUMPS. DEALER SAYS COUPLING IN STEERING SHAFT IS WORN OUT AND MUST BE REPLACED. STEERING FEELS TOO LOOSE. CAR HAS ONLY 38,000 MILES ON IT AND THIS PART SHOULD NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED AT THIS POINT.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE, THE DRIVER'S SIDE TAIL LIGHT SEPARATED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO GLASDEN HYUNDAI (LOCATED AT 28000 TELEGRAPH RD, SOUTHFIELD, MI 48034, (877) 814-3153) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TAIL LIGHT SUPPORT MELTED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, THE PASSENGER SIDE TAIL LIGHT EXPERIENCED A SIMILAR FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED OR NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000. UPDATED 09/01/17*LJ THE CONSUMER PAID TO HAVE THE FIRST LIGHT FAILURE REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED IN BOTH REAR TAIL LIGHTS. *JS
ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHILE DRIVING (VARIOUS SPEEDS), NO POWER, NO STEERING FOR MAYBE A SECOND. IT HAS HAPPENED THREE TIMES. SO FAR, THE POWER COMES BACK ON WITHIN A SECOND (DID NOT HAVE TO PUT IN NEUTRAL OR PARK TO RESTART). ALL HAVE HAPPENED IN CITY DRIVING (HAVE NOT BEEN HIGHWAY DRIVING LATELY)
THE STEERING COLUMN MAKES A CLANKING NOISE WHEN TURNING IN EITHER DIRECTION OR HITTING BUMPS IN THE ROAD. I CALLED HYUNDAI CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WAS TOLD THAT MY VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL AS IT WAS MADE AFTER THE CARS IN THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH IT HAS THE SAME PROBLEM. IT IS A PLASTIC GEAR THAT CAN CAUSE THE STEERING TO FAIL. WHY NOT IN THE RECALL?
DRIVING TO THE MOVIE THEATER IN MY 2011 SONATA 2.4 GLS, 113K MILES, TRAVELING THROUGH 40MPH AND ACCELERATING ON AN ACCESS ROAD AND THE ENGINE QUIT. THERE WERE NO WARNING SIGNS, IT JUST STOPPED. I COASTED INTO A PARKING LOT AND TRIED TO RESTART. IT WOULDN'T TURN, SO I TRIED JUMPING IT - NO LUCK. BOUGHT/INSTALLED A BATTERY FROM A WALMART THAT WAS NEAR THE PARKING LOT - NO LUCK. SO, I THOUGHT IT WAS THE STARTER AND HAD IT TOWED TO THE NEARBY AUTOTIRE REPAIR SHOP. AFTER SOME INVESTIGATION, THEY CALLED ME AND STATED THE ENGINE HAD SEIZED. AWESOME. AFTER DOING SOME RESEARCH ON LINE, I FOUND OUT IT'S A COMMON PROBLEM, NECESSITATING A CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT. I CALLED THE HYUNDAI CUSTOMER CARE LINE AND THEY TOWED IT TO THE HYUNDAI DEALER IN ST CHARLES, MO. SO FAR, I'M IN FOR $180 FOR THE TWO TOWS, $165 FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC CHECK, AND $671 FOR THE RENTAL CAR. HAVE MY LAWYER AT THE READY IF HYUNDAI TRIES TO WEASEL OUT OF THEIR OBLIGATION TO FIX THIS KNOWN DEFECT. MORE TO FOLLOW.
STEERING IS HARD TO TURN WHEN MOVING
THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AND EVERY SINGLE BUMP OR IMPERFECTION IN THE ROAD RESULTS IN THE STEERING COLUMN CLICKING AND RATTLING. DOESN'T MATTER WHAT U BARELY GO OVER BUT IT CLICKS CONSTANTLY AND RATTLES CONSTANTLY. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL ON THIS! IT SEEMS TO BE A VERY PREVALENT PROBLEM IN HYUNDAI OWNERS OF THE SONATA.
WHILE DRIVING IN THE CITY HEADING TO THE STORE THE CAR JUST SHUTS RIGHT OFF AND STARTS SMOKING I TRIED TO RESTART IT BUT STILL WOULDN'T START SO I INSTALLED NEW BATTERY TRIED TO RESTART AGAIN ,BUT WHEN I DID I SAW SMOKE COME OUT FROM THE ENGINE AGAIN,THE SMOKE SMELLED ELECTRICAL SO BELIEVE IT WAS A BAD (STARTER)PART MADE OUT OF PLASTIC
INTERIOR LIGHT COMES ON WITHOUT OPENING DOORS CLICKING IN THE STEERING COLLAR MOTOR HAS A WINNING SOUND AND THE BRAKE LIGHT SOME TIMES JUST BLINK OFF
THE STERRING WHEEL IS LOOSE.
UPON REPAIRING A RECALL BY THE DEALER TO THE STEERING IN FEBRUARY 2017, THE AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON ALL THE TIME AND THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT
PASSENGER SIDE COIL IS BROKEN AND RUSTED. I NOTICED A RATTLE OR NEW SOUND WHEN GOING OVER BUMPS RECENTLY.
STEERING COUPLER CAUSED "CLUNKING" SOUND WHILE DRIVING FROM UNDER DASH AND IN STEERING COLUMN. WHEN I TOOK THIS TO DEALER, BY DESCRIBING THE SOUND THEY WERE ABLE TO TELL ME MY MAKE AND MODEL AND SAID IT WAS A KNOWN ISSUE.

IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE CONSUMED AN EXCESSIVE AMOUNT OF OIL. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V568000 (ENGINE); HOWEVER, THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE RECALL. EARLIER THIS YEAR, THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED FOR A CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR THAT ILLUMINATED AND THE REMEDY WAS A FUEL INJECTION FLUSH. THE LOCAL DEALER (NORTH FREEWAY HYUNDAI, 20440 INTERSTATE 45 N, SPRING, TX, 77373) WAS CONTACTED AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT THROUGH THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 10640136. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 112,943.
HARD SHIFTING INTO DRIVE AND HARDSHIFTING INTO REVERSE, WHEN VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AND SHIFTING IT INTO DRIVE OR REVERSE. TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN REPLACED 2 TIMES AND PROPLEM PERSISTS.
CAR JUST STALLED WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AND WOULDN'T TURN OVER AFTER MANY ATTEMPTS TO JUMP START STILL NOTHING. THOUGHT IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM TILL THE ELECTRICAL SHOP I HAD TAKEN THE CAR TO A ELECTRICAL REPAIR NEAR MY HOME AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE WAS FROZEN OR SEIZED. MY CAR IS ALWAYS WELL MAINTAINED WITH THE NECESSARY LUBRICANTS AND FLUIDS AND HAD BEEN SERVICED AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR RECALL 132 RECENTLY BUT TOLD ME THAT THEY DID NOT NEED TO REPLACE THE ENGINE. A COUPLE MONTHS PRIOR I HAD A VALVE JOB DONE AT GRIFFIN AUTOMOTIVE BECAUSE THE CAR STARTED TO BARELY EVEN HOLD AN IDLE BECAUSE PART OF A VALVE HAD BROKE OFF SENDING A PIECE OF METAL THRU THE TURBOCHARGER WHICH THAN ALSO NEEDED REPLACEMENT FOR A GRAND TOTAL OF $4,500 FOR VALVE JOB AND NEW TURBOCHARGER.
FRONT DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LOCK WAS MAKING A GRINDING NOISE FOR ABOUT A WEEK WHEN PUTTING THE CAR IN REVERSE OR DRIVE OR PARK. ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 2017 IT STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. IT DOES NOT LOCK UNLESS I MANUALLY LOCK IT. I KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THIS VERY REASON BUT WHEN I CHECKED MY VIN IT DOESN'T COME UP. HOW CAN I GET THIS REPAIRED AS PART OF THAT RECALL?
MY VEHICLE'S STEERING MAKES A CLICKING NOISE WHILE STATIONARY AND MOVING. I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND THEY KNEW ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND THE COST TO REPAIR AS SOON AS I MENTIONED THE SYMPTOMS. THE PROBLEM IS A STEERING COUPLER. THE CSR WAS SURPRISED THAT HYUNDAI HAD NOT MADE A RECALL ON THIS PROBLEM SINCE HE HAD SEEN QUITE A FEW CARS OF THIS MAKE/MODEL/YEAR WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THE COUPLER IS MADE OF PLASTIC AND WEARS DOWN OVER TIME. MY CAR IS 6 YEARS OLD AND NOW HAS ABOUT 88,000 MILES ON IT. THE REPAIR QUOTED WAS $404. I AM CONCERNED THAT THIS IS MAY BE A SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE ALSO CONTACTED HYUNDAI CUSTOMER COMPLAINT AND LOGGED CASE NUMBER 9975977.

THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE DOOR LATCHES FAILED, WHICH ALLOWED THE DOORS TO REMAIN OPEN EVEN WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS IN DRIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE DOOR LATCHES AND THE FRONT COIL SPRINGS WERE DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THEY COULD NOT BE OF ANY ASSISTANCE DUE TO THE VIN NOT BEING INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 10V070000(LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES) AND 15V629000 (SUSPENSION). THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT NHTSA HAD ISSUED OUT THE RECALLS AND THEY WERE REGULATED BY THE MANUFACTURER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 135,000.
STEERING WHEEL COUPLING. I HAVE HAD A CLICKING/CLUNKING SOUND COMING FROM THE STEERING COLUMN FOR MONTHS, IT IS AUDIBLE WHEN YOU ARE SITTING STILL, DRIVING, TURNING, AND WHEN YOU GO OVER 60 MPH, IT IS CAUSING THE STEERING WHEEL TO SHAKE PROFUSELY. I FINALLY GET ONLINE TO RESEARCH WHAT IT COULD BE AND I SEE HUNDREDS OF OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM ON THE SAME YEAR MAKE AND MODEL OF MY CAR. IT IS A PART THAT COSTS LESS THAN 3 BUCKS TO REPLACE, BUT OWNERS ARE BEING CHARGED OVER 300 BUCKS TO REPLACE THIS, FOR THE LABOR. IF THIS IS SUCH A WIDESPREAD, WELL KNOWN ISSUE, HOW IN THE WORLD IS THERE NOT A RECALL FOR THIS CHEAP PART? IS IT GOING TO TAKE SOMEONE DYING WHILE DRIVING FOR THIS TO BE REPLACED? THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND THE NHTSA REALLY NEEDS TO STEP IN AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS HIGHWAY ROBBERY THAT HYUNDAI IS GETTING AWAY WITH ON SUCH A WIDESPREAD ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO ACCELERATE AND THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE OCCURRED BETWEEN 4 AND 8 TIMES PER YEAR. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER REPLACED THE OIL MEASURING STICK AND THE VEHICLE PASSED THE EVALUATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT CERTIFIED MECHANIC FOR A SECOND. IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT ONE OF THE PISTONS WAS FAILING AND EVENTUALLY THE ENGINE WOULD FAIL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE RECALL DETAILS WERE NOT PROVIDED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,600.

STEERING IS MAKING A CLICKING NOISE WHEN COMPLETING TURNS. ALSO VIBRATES OVER BUMPS. COUPLER BETWEEN ELECTRONIC STEERING MOTOR AND SHAFT HAS GONE BAD. NOT SURE WHAT FURTHER DAMAGE OR CONTROLLABILITY ISSUES COULD RESULT.
BRAKE LIGHT WENT OUT, OPENED BREAK LIGHT COMPARTMENT , LIGHT BULB WAS MELTED INSIDE OF SOCKET, TOOK TO DEALER SAID IT WAS NORMAL. HOW CAN THIS BE NORMAL? ? COULD THIS HAVE STARTED A FIRE, WAS TOLD NOT COVERED UNDER MY WARRANTY, 250.00 LATER
AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT IS ON AND WILL NOT TURN OFF. COMMON PROBLEM DUE TO CLOCK SPRING IN STEERING WHEEL, OR SENSOR. AIRBAGS WILL NOT BE FUNCTIONAL WITH THIS PROBLEM. HYUNDAI WILL NOT COVER REPAIR COSTS.

CLUNKING NOISE IN STEERING WHEEL. RESEARCH INDICATED IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE VEHICLES. A PLASTIC COUPLER FAILS IN THE POWER STEERING ASSIST MOTOR LOCATED ON THE STEERING WHEEL SHAFT UNDERNEATH THE DASH. DEALER REPLACED THE $3.72 PART AND LABOR WAS $371.42. HYUNDAI IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM AND STATED IT WAS A COMMON ISSUE. THIS VEHICLE WAS BOUGHT NEW AND THE MILEAGE WHEN REPAIRED ON FEB. 1, 2017 WAS 42892.
CAR WENT IN FOR ENGINE TEST FOR THE RECALL. ENGINE FAILED THE TEST WHICH SHOULD HAVE MEANT THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. AFTER 90 DAYS A HYUNDAI REP CAME TO THE DEALERSHIP AND DETERMINED THAT THE ENGINE DID NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED. IF THE CAR FAILS THE TEST HOW CAN THEY JUST DEEM THAT THEY DON'T NEED TO FIX IT. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V568000 (ENGINE). THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT SPOKE TO WIN HYUNDAI (3462 PECK RD, EL MONTE, CA 91731). THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY WOULD NEED TO KEEP THE VEHICLE FOR 4-5 MONTHS UNTIL THEY COULD OBTAIN THE REPAIR PART. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
THERE IS A RECALL ON THE ENGINE AND THE MANUFACTURER REFUSES TO HAVE IT FIXED BECAUSE I AM LOCATED OVERSEAS. I AM ACTIVE DUTY ARMY AND CURRENTLY ON MISSION SO MY CAR IS WITH ME. THE CAR WENT DEAD ON THE HIGHWAY AND I ALMOST LOST MY LIFE AND THEY STILL MADE NO EFFORT TO FIX THE PROBLEM.

FLEX WHEEL COUPLER IS BAD CAUSES RATTLES IN STEERING WHEEL.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH AND MAKING A LEFT TURN, THE RPMS INCREASED INDEPENDENTLY AND THE VEHICLE LUNGED FORWARD WITHOUT WARNING. IN ADDITION, ONCE THE VEHICLE WAS PLACED IN PARK, THE RPMS CONTINUED TO INCREASE AND THEN DECREASED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 60,000.
WHILE ENTERING A DRIVEWAY ON 1/5/2017, MY VEHICLE WAS STRUCK ON THE RIGHT REAR. SPEED WAS 4-5 MPH, WITH NO FRONT COLLISION. HOWEVER, FRONT AIR BAG ACTIVATED AND INSTANTLY CAUGHT FIRE AND DEFLATED CAUSING HEAD TO STRIKE STEERING WHEEL. REAR PASSENGER AIR BAGS DID NOT ACTIVATE ON EITHER SIDE OF VEHICLE. BURN HOLE IN FRONT AIR BAG IS THE SIZE OF A SILVER DOLLAR.
ON THURSDAY 1/5/17, UPON STARTING MY VEHICLE, MY ENGINE LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. TODAY, I HAD A DIAGNOSTIC TEST DONE AND WAS TOLD THE TURBO COMPONENT WAS NOT WORKING. MY VEHICLE HAS APPROXIMATELY 46,000 MILES. I READ ONLINE AND THIS HAS HAPPENED TO OTHERS WITH THE SAME MILEAGE. IS THERE ANOTHER RECALL?
THE STEERING IS LOOSE. WHEN I TURN THE STEERING WHEEL, IT DOESN'T RESPOND RIGHT AWAY. IT MAKES A CLICK SOUND WHEN IT CATCHES AND STEERING RESPONDS. THIS HAPPENS WHILE DRIVING ALL THE TIME. ITS LIKE WAITING A GEAR TO CATCH OR ENGAGE BEFORE THE WHEELS RESPOND TO THE STEERING. APPEARS TO BE GETTING WORSE / MORE LOOSE.
REAR LIGHT CASING IS MELTING AND THE BULBS ARE BLOWING EVERY FEW WEEKS. I WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND MY VEHICLE COULD POTENTIALLY LIGHT ON FIRE WHILE I'M DRIVING. I HAVE A FULL WARRANTY, AND THEY ARE SAYING THIS IS NOT COVERED. *TR
WHEN DRIVING AT NIGHT WITH THE LIGHTS ON, WHEN I TURN THE TURN SIGNAL ON, THE HEADLIGHTS TURN OFF, COME BACK ON, AND FLICKER ON AND OFF, AS WELL AS THE INTERIOR LIGHTS. THIS IS AN ONGOING ISSUE NOT SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED JUST ONCE. IT'S EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AS THEY MAY JUST GO OUT COMPLETELY AND SOMEBODY COULD CRASH INTO THE FRONT OF ME OR NOT SEE THAT I'M TRYING TO TURN THERE'S ALSO BEEN NUMEROUS REPORTS OF THIS ON BLOGS AND SUCH FORTH.
THE DASH HAS CRACKS ALL THROUGH IT. THESE ARE DEEP CRACKS. I HAVE HAD MANY CARS AND HAVE NEVER SEE CRACKS LIKE THESE.
THE BREAK LIGHT KEEP GOIN OUT PLUZ KEEP SMELLING A BURNING SMELL
FOR OVER A YEAR, THE STEERING WHEEL HAS CLICKED AT THE SLIGHTEST MOVEMENT, EVEN ON FLAT HIGHWAY. IT VIBRATES HEAVILY AND CLICKS LOUDLY ON UNEVEN PAVEMENT, AND FEELS LOOSE WHEN TURNING. I TOOK IT IN FOR OTHER RECALLS AND WAS TOLD IT NEEDED A STEERING COUPLER THAT WOULD COST $338. I KNOW THAT PART IS ONLY ABOUT $5 AND I JUST WATCHED A YOUTUBE VIDEO WHERE A GUY REPLACED IT IN LESS THAN AN HOUR. IT LOOKED SO EASY I'M TEMPTED TO TRY AND DO IT MYSELF. THERE ARE MORE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS ISSUE THAN ANY OTHER OF THE MANY ISSUES THIS CAR HAS. THERE SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM.
