AS I WAS DRIVING, I SLOWED DOWN USED MY TURN SIGNAL AND AS I MADE THE TURN AND COMPLETED IT THE INTERIOR LIGHT AND HEAD LIGHTS SHUT OFF OR BEGIN TO FLICKER. YOU HAVE TO JIGGLE THE END OF THE STEM TO GET THE LIGHTS TO TURN BACK ON. I CHANGED THE SETTING FROM AUTO TO JUST THE HEADLIGHTS AND THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. IT MOSTLY OCCURS WITH THE LEFT TURNS, BUT CAN OCCUR WITH THE RIGHT TURN SIGNAL. I OCCURRED ONCE WHEN I FIRST PURCHASED THE CAR IN 2014 BUT THEN DID NOT BECOME A PROBLEM UNTIL NOW. IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO BE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AT NIGHT AND LOSE YOUR HEADLIGHTS. ALSO IT CAUSES THE HEADLIGHTS TO FLICKER AT OTHER DRIVERS AND THEY MAY THINK THAT I AM HAVING OTHER ISSUES. I ALSO HAVE A 16 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WHO IS DRIVING MY CAR AND IT CONCERNS ME THAT THIS HAD HAPPENED WHEN SHE IS DRIVING AND MAY NOT BE ABLE TO KNOW WHAT TO DO TO FIX THE SITUATION.
STEERING WHEEL HAS BEEN MAKING CRACKING NOISES. I TOOK MY CAR TO THE VANDERGRIFF HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THIS WAS HAPPENING TO OTHERS AND IT WAS THE FLEX COUPING IN THE STEERING COLUMN DUE TO MATERIAL FAILURE WHICH COULD RESOLUTE IN LOSS OF STEERING CAPABILITY INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH. I WAS TOLD THE ORIGINAL MATERIAL IN THE STEERING WHEEL IS A THICK PIECE OF PLASTIC AND COULD CRACK EASILY AND HYUNDAI HAD SENT A REPLACEMENT PIECE, WHICH IS MORE FLEXIBLE AND DURABLE, TO THE DEALERSHIPS BUT I WAS FORCED TO PAY NEARLY $500 EVEN THOUGH HYUNDAI IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. I INQUIRED ABOUT A RECALL LINKED TO THE PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD, THERE IS NO CURRENT RECALL. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE SEIZED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 144,000.
DETECTED SLACK IN STEERING WHEEL, ACCOMPANIED WITH THUNK AND NOISE THAT IS BOTH FELT AND HEARD. SLACK AND NOISE IS PREVALENT WITH ENGINE RUNNING OR ENGINE OFF. A SLIGHT BUT DISTINCT ROTATIONAL NOISE IS ALSO HEARD AT IDLE. PROBLEM APPEARS TO BE CONSISTENT WITH WORN OR LOOSE STEERING COMPONENTS.
AS I WAS DRIVING AND/OR STEERING I WOULD HEAR A CLICKING NOISE. THIS WAS A SAFETY CONCERN TO ME SO I DID CONTACT HYUNDAI TO SEE IF THERE HAD BEEN ANY RECALLS. I WAS TOLD NOT AT THIS TIME ONLY RECALL WAS FOR A SHIFT LEVEL CABLE. OK SO I PROCEED TO THE DEALERSHIP TO LEARN THAT THE PART IS $7.00 AND THE LABOR IS $224.00. NICE. I AM CURRENTLY UNEMPLOYED AND NEED A CAR TO FIND A JOB SO ITS A LOSE LOSE SITUATION. IN MY OPTION THIS PART SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON A SAFETY RECALL AS I REVIEW THE COMPLAINTS I SEE THIS ISSUE HAS OCCURRED IN MANY OF HYUNDAI CARS. HYUNDAI SHOULD TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO CORRECT THIS SAFETY ISSUE. I WAS TOLD THAT IF I DID NOT REPAIR THIS PART THAT MUCH MORE DAMAGE WOULD OCCUR. WAS TOLD THE BRAKE SWITCH PAD CAME APART. ALSO PEDAL STOPPER WAS INVOLVED. .BOTH INCIDENTS OCCURRED AS I WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT WANTING TO MAKE A LEFT HAND TURN WHEN THE CAR MADE A VERY SLOW MOVEMENT TO MOVE FORWARD, THEN STALLED UNTIL I KEPT FRANTICALLY HITTING THE GAS PEDAL TO GET OUT OF THE WAY OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC AND TRYING TO PREVENT GETTING HIT FROM THE BACK BECAUSE MY CAR WASN'T EXPECTED TO STOP DEAD IN ITS TRACKS. I CALLED AAA WHO TOWED MY CAR INTO DEALERSHIP ON N.E. 6TH AVENUE IN DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA 33483. THE ABOVE PARTS WERE NOTED ON MY INVOICE. DUE TO THE DANGER, I WOULD ABSOLUTELY PUT OUT A RECALL BEFORE SOMEONE GETS HURT OR WORSE. PARTS NO. 32876-3Q100
TAKATA RECALL THIS HAS BEEN THE WORSE EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. IN MAY I WAS DRIVING WEST ON HWY 40 TOWARDS RALEIGH NC WHEN MY CAR JUST STOPPED AND MADE A FUNNY NOISE, WHEN I PULLED OVER AND TRIED TO RESTART THE ENGINE SMOKE CAME FROM UNDER THE HOOD. I HAD IT TOWED TO SOUTHERN HYUNDAI IN RALEIGH ON WAKE FOREST RD. IT INITIALLY TOOK THREE MONTHS TO GET A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER TO PAY 50% OF THE COST. THEN 2 MONTHS LATER OR AROUND OCTOBER WHEN THE CAR WAS READY I DIDN'T HAVE THE OTHER 4500.00 TO GIVE THEM BEING A SINGLE PARENT OF FIVE. WHEN THE NOTICE CAME OUT I ASKED THEM TO SEE THE MANUFACTURER FOR THE REMAINING BALANCE. IT IS NOW DECEMBER AND I STILL DON'T HAVE MY CAR. I HAVE BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH AND BARELY HANGING ON TO A CAR MAKING PAYMENTS AND HAVEN'T DRIVEN IT IN 7 MONTHS. THE DEALER STILL HAS POSSESSION OF THE VEHICLE, WHY CAN'T THE MANUFACTURE PAY FOR THE COST. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF SOME CRUEL CRIME. WHAT TO DO
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO LOSE POWER WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT AN ABNORMAL NOISE COULD BE HEARD COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE OCCURRED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V568000 (ENGINE). THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
STEERING WHEEL BEGINS TO SHAKE WHEN SPEED REACHES 70-75 MPH. THE STEERING WHEEL FEELS LOOSE WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION. WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND TIRE ROTATION WERE PERFORMED BUT THE ISSUE PERSISTS.
WAS DRIVING HOME WITH MY 11 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER DURING RUSH HOUR WHEN THE CAR JUST DIED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. COULDN'T START IT UP, THEN IT STARTING TO SMELL LIKE FIRE AND A LOT OF SMOKE WAS COMING OUT OF THE ENGINE. HAD TO JUMP OUT OF CAR AND GET IT TOWED TO DEALER. THIS WAS AFTER A SIMILAR INCIDENT HAPPENED A WEEK BEFORE ON MY WAY TO WORK WHERE THE CAR JUST STALLED OUT AND STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. BROUGHT IT INTO HYUNDAI DEALER AND THEY SAID I HAD A "SLUDGE" PROBLEM. THEY RAN A DIAGNOSTICS TEST, BUT NOTHING CAME BACK. TOLD ME TO TAKE TO A REPUTABLE CAR REPAIR PLACE AND GET THE OIL CHANGED BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T WANT TO BE LIABLE. WHEN I TOOK IT TO FIRESTONE, THE GUY THERE TOLD ME IT WASN'T A SLUDGE PROBLEM AND THE OIL WASN'T AS BAD AS HYUNDAI MADE IT OUT TO BE. HE CHANGED THE OIL THERE, THEN A WEEK LATER THE ENGINE DIED AGAIN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MAIN ROAD AND STARTED SMOKING. I LOOKED IT UP AND SAW NUMEROUS OTHER SIMILAR COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENING TO OTHER PEOPLE WITH 2011 SONATAS. THEY ARE TRYING TO TELL ME IT'S MY FAULT AND WILL PROBABLY NOT BE COVERED AND WILL COST ME ABOUT $6,000 TO FIX THE ENGINE. IF SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE HAVE THE SAME ISSUE, THEN IT IS NOT MY FAULT, IT SHOULD BE A RECALL (A DANGEROUS LIFE THREATENING ONE) FROM HYUNDAI AS THE CAR CAN JUST STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY! MY DAUGHTER REFUSES TO GET IN THE CAR AGAIN. WAITING TO HEAR WHAT THEY SAY, BUT I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR A FAULTY ENGINE PROBLEM THAT HYUNDAI IS AWARE OF.
HEARD A RATLLE SOUND UNDER THE DRIVER WHEEL WELL, BUT CAN'T SEE ANYTHING. CONTINUE TO DRIVE AT 30MPH DOWN THE ROAD. A FEW MINUTES LATER, HEARD SOMETHING FELT OFF. STOPPED THE CAR, GOT OUT AND SAW A PIECE OF FRONT SUSPENSION COIL SPRING BROKE OFF. GOT TO THE DEALER 2 DAYS LATER, FIXED THE PROBLEM. 3 WEEKS LATER, THE SAME HAPPENED TO THE PASSENGER SUSPENSION COIL SPRING.
WHILE DRIVING THE STEERING COLUMN BEGAN MAKING A STRANDE GRINDING TYPE OF NOISE. THIS IS HEARD WHENEVER THE STEERING WHEEL IS TURNED AT ANY SPEED. THE VEHICLE FEELS LIKE THERE IS NO POWER STEERING. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THE COUPLING, THE STEERING GEAR SYSTEM WAS BAD AND THE ENTIRE STEERING COLUMN NEEDS TO BE CHANGED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE DEALER WANTS $1400. THIS IS LUDICROUS! THE COUPLING IS ONLY $8-10. WHAT IS REALLY GOING ON WITH HYUNDAI? I JUST RECENTLY HAD TO REPLACE THE ENGINE BECAUSE IT JUST SHUT DOWN WHEN MAKING A TURN. THE ENGINE HAD SEIZED. THIS IS ALSO AN ISSUE WITH 2011 SONATA!!!!
DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE I HEARD AND FELT A FAINT PUDDERING. I LOOKED DOWN AND MY OIL LIGHT WAS ON. I WAS ABLE TO IMMEDIATELY EXIT. AS I WAS GOING ON THE OFF RAMP THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I WAS ABLE TO BARELY PULL INTO A PARK AND RIDE. 20 MINUTES LATER OIL WAS EVERYWHERE. THE CAR NEVER OVERHEATED, AND THERE WAS A TRAIL OF OIL FROM THE ROAD TO MY CAR. SINCE I HAD TAKEN IT TO THE GET THE OIL CHANGED JUST ON THE 5TH OF MAY, JUST 10 DAYS EARLIER. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THAT FACILITY. THE PISTON INTERNALLY SLAMMED THROUGH THE ENGINE PUNCHING A HOLE IN THE ENGINE WALL, AND LEAKING OIL FROM THE ENGINE. THE ENGINE DID NOT CEASE. PIECES AND PARTS OF BOLTS AND SIDE WALL WERE FOUND BY THE MECHANIC.

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE ENGINE FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V56800 (ENGINE); HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 110,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MOTOR DRIVEN POWER STEERING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 10V426000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 89,260.
CONTACTED HYUNDAI CONCERNING THE STEERING COUPLING AND STEERING COLUMN RECALLS. HYUNDAI REFUSE RECALL REPAIRS BECAUSE OF THE FOLLOWING: 1. SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY. THEY WERE NOT OBLIGATED TO FIX THE RECALL. 2. THE MILEAGE WAS 13,000 OVER 60,000 MILES AND THEY WERE NOT OBLIGATED TO FIX THE RECALL. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUES WHICH ACCORDING TO THE RECALL SHOULD HAVE A 10 YEAR WARRANTY WHEN IT IS FIXED. PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND WHY HYNDAI WILL NOT HONOR A GOVERNMENT RECALL AND FIX MY VEHICLE.
I WAS ON THE FREEWAY DRIVING AT 65 MPH WHEN THE ENGINE STALLED AND SHUT OFF. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS INDICATING AN ISSUE WITH THE ENGINE. I WAS INFORMED LATER BY MY MECHANIC THAT THE ENGINE HAD A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE. THE BRAKES FAILED BECAUSE THE ENGINE WAS NOT RUNNING. I WAS LUCKY AND ABLE TO COAST TO THE NEXT EXIT, THE STOP LIGHT WAS GREEN AND I COULD MAKE IT TO SAFE LOCATION. HAD THE ENGINE FAILED A FEW MINUTES EARLIER I WOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE FAST LANE OF THE FREEWAY TRYING TO MAKE IT TO THE SHOULDER. OR TRYING TO STOP AT A LIGHT WITH NO BRAKES.
I STARTED UP MY CAR AND REALIZED THAT MY GAS GAUGE WASN'T CORRECT ESPECIALLY WHEN I FILLED THE GAS THE NIGHT BEFORE. SO I TURNED OFF THE CAR AND TURNED IT BACK ON AND THE NUMBERS WAS JUST JUMPING AROUND AND THE GAS LIGHT WOULD POP ON ETC. AS OF TODAY MY CAR IS STILL DOING IT AND IT HAS ME CONCERNED
VEHICLE STOPPED FUNCTIONING AT 60 MPH ON AN INTERSTATE ON A FRIDAY NIGHT. HAD TO COAST TO SIDE OF ROAD DODGING OTHER CARS. TRIED TO RESTART VEHICLE WITH NO LUCK. ELECTRICAL STARTED GOING HAYWIRE. INTERIOR LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING AS WELL AS DASHBOARD LIGHTS. SMOKE WAS COMING FROM HOOD OF CAR. WITHIN 20 MINUTES A ROAD RANGER CHECKED THE STATUS OF THE CAR AND SAID ALL FLUIDS LOOKED GOOD. BATTERY TESTED GOOD. BUT WAS UNABLE TO GET VEHICLE TO START. TWO HOURS LATER IT WAS TOWED TO A HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP. WAS TOLD IT APPEARS TO BE THE ENGINE BUT WAS TOLD THEY REPLACED THE STARTER FIRST BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT IT WAS THAT. FINALLY, TOLD IT WAS THE ENGINE AND IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THANKFULLY IT IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. IT'S LAST SERVICE WAS THE MIDDLE OF APRIL. THEY TOLD ME THAT THE STEERING IS POSSIBLY GOING ON IT. THEY REPORTED A KNOCKING NOISE. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO STEERING AS OF YET BUT NOW THAT THEY WILL HAVE CAR FOR UP TO 3 WEEKS WILL PROBABLY HAVE THEM CHECK THAT TOO ESPECIALLY AFTER READING MANY OF THE COMPLAINTS ON THIS AND OTHER WEBSITES.
WHILE DRIVING I MADE A RIGHT TURN AND HEARD A CLICKING SOUND IN THE STEERING COLUMN. I HAD HEARD THIS ONCE BEFORE & THE PROBLEM WAS SUPPOSED TO BE FIXED, BUT I GUESS IT WAS A COSMETIC FIX. IT MAKES THE SOUND EVERYTIME I MAKE A RIGHT TURN.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 15V568000 (ENGINE); HOWEVER, THE PART NEEDED TO PERFORM THE REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.
WHILE DRIVING FOR APPROX 20MINS ON HWY AT 60MPH, THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE BEGAN TO KNOCK, APPROX 3 MINS LATER A LOUD EXPLODING SOUND ACCOMPANIED WITH WHITE SMOKE AND LOSS OF POWER OCCURRED. OIL WAS CHANGED YESTERDAY BECAUSE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BECAME ILLUMINATED AND THE OIL WAS CHECKED WITH NO OIL REGISTERING ON THE DIPSTICK. VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO A LOCAL MECHANIC. WHEN TOW TRUCK ARRIVED UNDER THE HOOD INSPECTION NOTED NO OIL ON TOP OF ENGINE OR ON UNDERSIDE OF HOOD, NEW OIL FILTER STILL IN PLACE AND SNUG, OIL PAN DRAIN BOLT STILL IN PLACE. OIL USED WAS 5QTS OF 5W-20 QUAKER STATE PER MANUFACTURER'S RECOMMENDATION. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT A PISTON ROD WAS FRACTURED AND THE ONLY WAY TO CORRECT IT WOULD BE WITH A NEW ENGINE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER FOR A SECOND OPINION, WHO PROVIDED THE SAME DIAGNOSIS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

THERE HAD BEEN MULTIPLE FAILURES CONCERNING THE SIX MANUFACTURER RECALLS THAT THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN, AND THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN OF WHEN THE DEALER WOULD PROVIDE A REMEDY AND THE PARTS. THE STEERING WHEEL MADE AN ABNORMAL NOISE AND THE ENGINE HAD AN INTERNAL FAILURE, IN WHICH METAL FRAGMENTS WERE RELEASED, AND THERE WAS A LOSS OF OIL. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHAT CAUSED THE OIL TO LOWER AND THE PREMATURE FAILURE OF THE ENGINE. THE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WAS REPLACED BY AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THE DEALER HAD BEEN UNCLEAR AS TO WHEN THE REMEDY AND PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 16V190000 (STEERING), 17V152000 (SEAT BELTS), 15V759000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC), 15V568000 (ENGINE), 14V433000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) AND 10V457000 (STEERING). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

BY JUNE 25, 2015 THE NOISE WAS EXTREMELY LOUD WHILE THE CAR WAS RUNNING, MOVING OR NOT. I COULD NOT DRIVE THE CAR THE 80 MILE ROUND TRIP TO WORK THE NEXT DAY AND HYUNDAI HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE SAME DEALER. THEY KEPT THE CAR FOR 2 1/2 WEEKS FINALLY REPLACING THE SHORT BLOCK ON IT. TRUST ME THEY LOOKED TO NOT COVER IT UNDER WARRANTY. BY AUGUST 24, THE CAR HAD ONLY BEEN DRIVEN 800 MILES, HAVING BEEN OFF FOR THE SUMMER. I CHECKED THE OIL BEFORE STARTING TO COMMUTE AGAIN AND IT WAS DOWN A QT. OF OIL. I BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THE OIL PAN HAD LEAKED, EVEN AFTER THEIR WARRANTY WORK. NOTE THERE WAS NO OIL DRIPPINGS IN MY DRIVEWAY EVER! I NO LONGER TRUSTED THE CAR OR THE SERVICE FROM THE DEALER. AGAIN, I HAVE AN 80 MILE PER DAY COMMUTE. I CALLED MY HUSBAND WHO CAME TO GET ME. WE CHECKED THE OIL AND IT WAS BARELY REGISTERING OIL. WE PURCHASED 2 QUARTS AND DROVE THE CAR APPR 2.5-3 MILES HOME. THE NEXT DAY MY HUSBAND DROVE IT DOWN THE ROAD ABOUT A MILE. IT WAS RUNNING VERY ROUGH WITH KNOCKING/TAPPING AND HESITATION. THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. HE CALLED THE HYUNDAI DEALER AND HAD IT TOWED AS WE WERE STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THEIR DIAGNOSIS WAS NO OIL, LACK OF MAINTENANCE YET THERE WAS NO OIL LEAK OR BURNING OF OIL. SINCE THIS IS "OUR FAULT" ACCORDING TO THE DEALER, IT WILL NOT BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY AND WE NEED A NEW ENGINE AT $6,000+. AS I PULLED UP MY LAST OIL CHANGE RECORD IT SHOWED I RECEIVED 5 QTS OF 5W20 SYNTHETIC BLEND OIL AT 110,641 MILES. I TOLD THE TECHNICIAN THAT I NEVER HAD ANY LEAKS OR KNOCKING SOUNDS.
