TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HORN WAS NOT LOUD. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT INSTALL A DUAL HORN WHICH COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT BEAUSE ANOTHER DRIVE MIGHT NOT HEAR THE HORN. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE 700.
TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD DRIFT TO THE RIGHT AND THE STEERING WHEEL WAS HARD TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND PERFORMED A FRONT END ALIGNMENT ON FOUR OCCASIONS; YET, THE REMEDY DID NOT WORK. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 7,150.
OUR 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA HAS A PULL TO THE LEFT. WE NOTICED IT IMMEDIATELY ON THE DAY WE TOOK DELIVERY AND HAVE HAD THE CAR IN THE DEALERSHIP ON AT LEAST THREE OCCASIONS, BUT IT STILL PULLS. WE HAVE HAD THREE ALIGNMENTS AND REPLACED ONE TIRE....NO HELP. *TR
MY 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA 2.0T LIMITED PULLS TO THE LEFT AT ALL SPEEDS (NOT TORQUE STEER). THE CAR REQUIRES CONSTANT CLOCKWISE PRESSURE ON THE STEERING WHEEL JUST TO KEEP THE CAR FROM VEERING TO THE LEFT. THE PULL OCCURS IN ALL LANES, BUT IT IS ESPECIALLY DANGEROUS IN THE LEFT LANE WHERE IT WILL LEAVE THE ROAD IN APPROXIMATELY TWO SECONDS WITHOUT A STEERING CORRECTION. MY CAR HAS BEEN IN FOR THE LEFT PULL ISSUE FIVE TIMES NOW, AND THERE IS STILL NO SOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM. IN ADDITION TO THE SAFETY CONCERN, THE TIRES WILL WEAR PREMATURELY AND IN AN UNEVEN FASHION. SINCE THEIR ENGINEERS HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO PROVIDE A VIABLE SOLUTION, HYUNDAI SHOULD REALLY THINK ABOUT A RECALL AT THIS POINT IN TIME.
PURCHASED NEW 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA SE FROM OXMOOR HYUNDAI IN LOUISVILLE, KY ON 10/26/10. NOTICED VEHICLE PULLING LEFT ON DRIVE HOME FROM DEALERSHIP AFTER PURCHASE. NOTIFIED DEALERSHIP THE FOLLOWING DAY TO HAVE VEHICLE SCHEDULED TO BE LOOKED AT BY SERVICE DEPARTMENT. TOOK VEHICLE TO SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON 11/1/10 AND THEY PERFORMED AN ALIGNMENT, WHICH DID NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM. RETURNED TO SERVICE DEPARTMENT WITH VEHICLE ON 11/3/10. TIRE AIR PRESSURE CHECKED, ALIGNMENT CHECKED AGAIN AND TIRES WERE ROTATED, BUT VEHICLE STILL PULLED LEFT. ADVISED BY DEALERSHIP TO RETURN WITH VEHICLE TO HAVE HYUNDAI FACTORY REPRESENTATIVE INVOLVED WITH CASE. VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT DEALERSHIP SINCE 11/7/10. SERVICE REP SAID THEY HAVE REPLACED LEFT SIDE CONTROL ARM AND STRUT, AND ARE CURRENTLY GETTING READY TO INSTALL CAMBER BOLT AND RE-ALIGN VEHICLE. VEHICLE, SINCE WE HAVE OWNED IT, PULLS TO THE LEFT FREQUENTLY, BUT INTERMITTENTLY, AND HAS YET TO HAVE PROBLEM CORRECTED AFTER 3 VISITS TO THE DEALERSHIPS SERVICE DEPARTMENT. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE COLUMN HAD BEEN INSTALLED INCORRECTLY; THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER DEALER BUT THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DUPLICATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A THIRD DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT STEERING COLUMN WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE THIRD DEALER WHERE THE RACK AND PINION WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, THE CONTACT SMELLED AN EXTREMELY STRONG TOXIC ODOR EMITTING FROM THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. THE ODOR DID NOT SUBSIDE AT ANY TIME. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER THREE TIMES. THE TECHNICIAN ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT THE FAILURE BY PLACING COFFEE GROUNDS IN THE TRUNK, ON THE FRONT AND REAR PASSENGER SEATS AS WELL AS THE DRIVERS SEAT BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE DEALER OFFERED TO TRADE THE VEHICLE FOR ANOTHER HOWEVER, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER DID NOT ADHERE TO THE AGREEMENT. THERE WAS SIGNIFICANT CONCERN OF A POTENTIAL HEALTH AND SAFETY HAZARD. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 11.
THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED WITH A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA LIMITED: 6 MONTHS OF PERFECT OPERATION AND APPROX. 11000 MILES. VIOLENT SHAKING OF STEERING WHEEL AND STEERING COLUMN AFTER ACCELERATION ONTO AN ON RAMP. IMMEDIATE AND ENTIRE FAILURE OF STEERING WITH VIOLENT AND EXTREMELY LOUD SHAKING AND VIBRATING OF STEERING WHEEL. SHAKING CONTINUED EVEN AFTER IGNITION SHUT OFF. OCCURRED FOR 20+ MINUTES. DISABLED ONLY BY DISCONNECTING BATTERY. BLISTERS ON HAND FROM HANGING ON TO STEERING WHEEL. NOTHING COULD BE DONE TO STEER, OPERATE, OR CONTROL VEHICLE. THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED WITHOUT WARNING AND WITHIN SECONDS. TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. KEPT FOR 3 DAYS. COULD NOT REPLICATE. STEERING COLUMN RECALL PERFORMED WITH STEERING SOFTWARE UPDATE, ESC REFLASHED, REPROGRAMMED EPS. HYUNDAI WAS EXCELLENT IN THEIR RESPONSE - BOTH DEALERSHIP AND HYUNDAI USA. HYUNDAI USA ENGINEERS AND TECH'S WERE INVOLVED WITH RESOLVING THE PROBLEM. THIS WAS A FRIGHTENING AND DANGEROUS INCIDENT AND POSSIBLY LIFE THREATENING. WHETHER REPAIR ATTEMPT WILL RESOLVE ONLY TIME WILL TELL. *TR
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING INDICATOR REMAINED ILLUMINATED. THE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND PROVIDED NO SPECIFIC DIAGNOSIS. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE, THE KEY WAS DIFFICULT TO TURN IN THE IGNITION, THE LOW BEAMS SHORTED, AND THE DEALER REPLACED THE HOUSING FOR THE BRAKE LIGHTS. THERE WERE ADDITIONAL REPAIRS DUE TO THE MULTIPLE FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES AND PROVIDED NO SOLUTION. THE VIN WAS ALSO INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 16V190000 (STEERING), 15V759000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC), AND 15V568000 (ENGINE). THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77,786.

OUR 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA PURCHASED 30 APRIL 2010 COULD NOT BE STARTED ON 4 OCCASIONS SINCE DATE OF PURCHASE (KEYLESS, PUSHBUTTON). FORTUNATELY, THE EVENTS OCCURRED EITHER IN THE GARAGE OR ON A PARKING LOT. AFTER "MUSCLING" THE STEERING COLUMN LEFT-RIGHT AND/OR PLAYING WITH THE SHIFT LEVER, THE CAR STARTED AFTER SOME TIME. MY 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA HAS BEEN FAILING TO START OVER THE PAST 2 DAYS. THE PROBLEM IS INCONSISTENT, IT AT TIMES TAKES 5 MINUTES TO START AND AT OTHERS IT TAKES 20 MINUTES BEFORE THE CAR TURNS ON. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS TO START THE CAR, A DISPLAY MESSAGE APPEARS NEAR THE ODOMETER STATING THAT YOU MUST PRESS BRAKE TO TURN VEHICLE ON (THIS MODEL USES A PUSH START BUTTON). THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL LOCKS IN PLACE AND CANNOT BE PRESSED DOWN. *TR
VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT INTO THE AUTO DEALER FOR OIL CHANGE & CHECK OF STEERING RECALL ON OCT.13,2010. ON SUBSEQUENT DATES OF OCT. 19, NOV. 4, AND NOV.11,2010 I BROUGHT IT BACK BECAUSE THE STEERING WAS PULLING TO THE LEFT. IT WOULD APPEAR TO BE FIXED ON EACH OF THESE DATES, BUT THE PULLING WOULD RETURN. ON DEC. 6 I CALLED THE DEALER & WAS INFORMED THAT AN ENGINEER WAS ON SITE AND DETERMINED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS SELF CORRECTING & NO FURTHER WORK WOULD BE DONE ON MY CAR. WHEN I COMPLAINED TO SERVICE MGR., HE WAS SYMPATHETIC AND GAVE ME TEL. # HYUNDAI CUSTOMER AFFAIRS. I CALLED AND WAS GIVEN A CAE #4208898. ON DEC. 8 I RECEIVED A CALL FROM CHET CONNER, WHO RELATED TO ME THAT AN ENGINEER & D'ARCY MTRS. SERVICE MGR. CHECKED OUT MY CAR ON DEC. 6 AND DETERMINED THAT THE" STEERING WAS PERFORMING AS IT SHOULD" ( ON THAT DATE MY CAR WAS WITH ME-NOT AT THE DEALER). WHEN I INFORMED HIM THAT THE STEERING WAS STILL PULLING TO THE LEFT, HE REPEATED THE AFOREMENTIONED STATEMENT AND TERMINATED THE CONVERSATION. NEVER HAD A STEERING PROBLEM UNTIL THEY INITIALLY CHECKED THE CAR RELATIVE TO STEERING RECALL

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE STEERING WHEEL SUDDENLY LOCKED UP WHICH CAUSED HER TO COLLIDE INTO TWO WOODEN POSTS AND SIGNS IN A GRASSY AREA. THE BRAKES WOULD NOT ENGAGE WHEN THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO STOP THE VEHICLE; A HOLE IN THE GROUND STOPPED THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO NOTICED THAT THE SEAT BELT DID NOT TIGHTEN TO SECURE HER DURING THE INCIDENT. THERE WERE NO INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE PREVIOUSLY HAD THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALER FOR RECALL 10V426000 (STEERING:GEAR BOX:SHAFT SECTOR) ON OCTOBER 8, 2010. THE VEHICLE WAS AT THE DEALER AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 4,000.
BOUGHT A 2011 SONATA SE 2010 AND HAS PULLED TO THE LEFT FROM DAY ONE. PULL IS MORE NOTICEABLE AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. HAVE TAKEN IT BACK TO DEALER 8 DIFFERENT TIMES (ALIGNMENTS,TIRE ROTATION ETC.). LAST TIME HYUNDAI TECH DROVE IT AND SAID IT WAS FINE. IT'S NOT FINE! I AM TURNING IN AS A LEMON. *TR
THE CAR CONSTANTLY PULLS LEFT WHILE DRIVING DOWN A STRAIGHT ROAD. I HAVE BEEN TO DEALER TWO TIMES IN THREE MONTHS. I COULD HAVE GONE EVERYDAY TO THE DEALER TO COMPLAIN. THE STEERING WHEEL IS NEVER CENTERED. YOU MUST ALWAYS KEEP CORRECTING THE WHEEL TO STAY STRAIGHT. THE DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED IT AS NEEDING AN ALIGNMENT ADJUSTMENT, THIS IS THE SECOND TIME. I HAVE MADE A THIRD APPOINTMENT WHICH A TECH REP IS COMING TO LOOK AT THE 2011 SONATA SE.
I HAVE A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. I WAS DRIVING ALONG WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN SHAKING AND SHUDDERING VIOLENTLY. MY HANDS COULD NOT STOP OR STEADY THE STEERING WHEEL. I WAS SOMEHOW ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, SWITCH THE ENGINE OFF, AND REMOVE THE KEY. THE STEERING WHEEL CONTINUED TO VIOLENTLY SHAKE AND SHUDDER FOR FIVE MINUTES FOLLOWING. THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS FRIGHTENING AND HAS REALLY SHAKEN UP MY CONFIDENCE WITH THE SONATA. THANKS GOODNESS I WAS NOT TRAVELING ON A HIGHWAY AT THE TIME. I STRONGLY URGE OTHER 2011 SONATA OWNERS TO GET THEIR VEHICLES TO THE DEALER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE AS HYUNDAI HAS NOW ISSUED A RECALL ON THE STEERING. *TR

THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED BY A DEALER WHO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE THERMOSTAT HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED FOUR TIMES IN SIX MONTHS. I WAS STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT AND MY 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA STEERING WHEEL BEGAN SHAKING AND JERKING OUT OF CONTROL. I COULD BARELY CONTROL THE CAR TO GET IT ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. EVEN AFTER I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF IT, THE STEERING WHEEL WAS STILL MOVING. AFTER A FEW MINUTES IT STOPPED AND THEN THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP AND WOULDN'T MOVE. *TR

THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD NOT TURN IN ANY DIRECTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS IN WHICH THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THERE WAS A RECALL UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 10V426000 (STEERING:GEAR BOX:SHAFT SECTOR) YET THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THAT THE DEFECT WAS NOT RELATED TO THE RECALL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE POWER STEERING SOFTWARE WAS UPDATED, WHICH WAS THE REMEDY STATED IN THE RECALL NOTIFICATION. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHTS WOULD NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 7,000. UPDTATED 2/17/11 *CN UPDATED 05/06/11
THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED SHAKING FURIOUSLY & I WAS UNABLE TO MAKE IT STOP EVEN WHEN I TURNED OFF THE CAR. I HAD TO FORCE THE STEERING WHEEL TO TURN SO I COULD GET OUT OF WAY OF TRAFFIC. IT WAS REVVING UP THE ENGINE TO ABOUT 90 RPMS AT DIFFERENT TIMES. *TR
I BACK UP A PREVIOUS COMPLAINT THAT THE HORN ON THE 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA IS COMPLETELY WORTHLESS AND A SAFETY HAZARD. IT IS SO QUIET THAT IT IS USELESS AS A WARNING TO PEDESTRIANS OR OTHER MOTORISTS SHOULD THE NEED ARISE. IT HAS TO BE REPLACED WITH A "NORMAL" LOUD HORN. *TR
OVER THE PAST 3 DAYS I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO DEPRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL AND START MY CAR WITH THE ELECTRONIC STARTING SYSTEM. THE PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT AND THE TIME FRAME VARIED FROM 2 MINUTES TO 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE CAR WOULD START.I CALLED MY DEALER TO MAKE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT ANT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT COMMENTED THEY NEVER HEARD OF THIS BEFORE BUT I SEE OTHER COMPLAINTS ONLINE. BESIDES THE DANGER OF BEING STUCK SOMEWHERE I AM CONCERNED THAT THE BRAKED MAY NOT WORK FOR STOPPING OR A FIRE IF IT IS ELECTRICAL. *TR
I HAVE A 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA. I PURCHASED THE CAR IN AUGUST OF 2010. ABOUT A MONTH AFTER OWNING THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WHEN I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, THEY RECORDED THE CODE AND THEN SAID IT WAS THE AC. I WAS ASKED TO WAIT 15 SECONDS BEFORE TURNING THE AC ON AFTER STARTING CAR. SO I DID THAT. ABOUT A WEEK OR SO LATER, THE LIGHT COMES ON AGAIN. TAKE IT BACK TWICE AFTER THIS, THEY RECORD THE CODE AND THEN THE SWITCH IS REPLACED. I MAINTAIN MY CAR WITH ALL MAINTENANCE REQUESTED AND I DRIVE IT ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAD THE TIRE LIGHT COME ON A FEW MONTHS LATER - WAS TOLD IT WAS THE TEMPERATURE. THAT EVENTUALLY WENT OFF. NEXT WAS THE ENGINE LIGHT YET AGAIN. THIS TIME IT OCCURRED AFTER I TOOK THE CAR IN ON JUNE 17TH FOR AN OIL CHANGE. THEY TOLD ME A RECALL WAS ON THE TRANSMISSION AND THEY DID THE RECALL UPDATE. IMMEDIATELY AFTER THIS UPDATE, THE CAR DROVE TERRIBLY. VERY LOUD, VERY ROUGH. ABOUT A WEEK AFTER THIS UPDATE, THE CAR BREAKS DOWN IN THE PARKING LOT. IT HAS DONE THIS NOW ABOUT 5 OR 6 TIMES SINCE JUNE (TODAY IS JULY 20TH). I TAKE IT TO THE DEALER AND TOLD I NEED THE ENGINE LIGHT ON IN ORDER TO REPAIR. IT IS MOST DEFINITELY THE TRANSMISSION AS IT WILL STALL AND THEN HESITATE. THE LIGHTS ON THE GEAR SHAFT GO AWAY COMPLETELY AND THE DASH LIGHTS GO AWAY SO YOU HAVE NO IDEA IF YOU ARE IN PARK, REVERSE, ETC. LAST TIME MY ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, IT WENT BACK OFF THAT NIGHT. THE PROBLEM CONTINUES AND HYUNDAI CAN'T SEEM TO FIX. I READ ONLINE FROM A GENERAL SEARCH ON THIS CAR THAT THIS IS A RESOUNDING ISSUE ACROSS THE BOARD WITH OTHERS AS WELL. I AM FRUSTRATED AND SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE. I CALLED CORPORATE AND GOT NOWHERE. I CONTINUE TO GET THE RUNAROUND. I WAS DRIVING MY 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA LIMITED AT ABOUT 30 MPH (ACCELERATING AFTER STOPPING AT A LIGHT). THE CAR WAS JUST TURNING OVER 3000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. ALL AT ONCE, THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN VIBRATING VIOLENTLY AND I COULD NOT KEEP THE CAR IN MY LANE. I TRIED TO STEER BUT IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT. THE VIBRATION STOPPED AFTER ABOUT 2 MINUTES. I WAS IN A BAD PART OF TOWN AND WAS AFRAID TO STOP SO I DROVE IN THE RIGHT HAND LANE WITH FLASHERS ON TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT TO DO. THE EPS LIGHT AND AN ANOTHER INDICATOR WERE ILLUMINATED. I REALIZED THAT I COULD STEER BUT WITH GREAT DIFFICULTY SO I DROVE THE CAR TO A HYUNDAI DEALER THAT WAS ABOUT 3 MILES AWAY VIA BACK ROADS. THEY WERE CLOSED BUT I LEFT MY CAR OVERNIGHT TO BE CHECKED. I TURNED THE CAR OFF TO GO INSIDE. WHEN I CAME OUT TO GET MY ODOMETER READING, I HAD TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON. WHEN I DID, EVERYTHING HAD RESET TO NORMAL. THE DEALER CHECKED THE CAR THE NEXT DAY AND COULD FIND NOTHING WRONG. HE TOLD ME TO BRING THE CAR BACK IF IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE MANUFACTURER LOOKED THROUGH THEIR INVENTORY AND FOUND AN IDENTICAL VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE ALSO EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER AGREED TO BUY THE VEHICLE BACK FROM THE CONTACT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 1700.
WHILE DRIVING MY NEW 2011 HYUNDAI SONATA GLS SEDAN WITH 200 MILES ON THE ODOMETER, THE TRANSMISSION FAILED COMPLETELY WHEN A TRANSMISSION HOSE BLEW OFF RELEASING ALL THE OIL OUT OF THE TRANSMISSION. ONCE AT THE DEALERSHIP THEY SHOWED ME THAT HOSE CLAMP FOR THE HOSE HAD NEVER BEEN ATTACHED CORRECTLY AT THE FACTORY! THE CAR IS AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS. IT IS NOT KNOW AT THIS TIME IF THE TRANSMISSION HAS BEEN DAMAGED DUE TO THE LOSS OF OIL. WE WERE NOT HURT AND DIDN'T LOSE CONTROL OF THE CAR. THIS INCIDENT OCCURRED ON A FLAT PIECE OF HIGHWAY, SHOULD IT OCCURRED IN HILLY TERRAIN OR PASSING ANOTHER VEHICLE THE RESULTS COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH DIFFERENT SINCE THE CAR BECAME INOPERABLE. AT FIRST, I COULD JUST MOVE THE GEARSHIFT OUT OF PARK AND BACK INTO PARK, AND THAT WOULD USUALLY UNLOCK THE KEY. AS TIME WENT BY, THE PROBLEM WENT FROM HAPPENING ONCE A WEEK, TO ONCE A DAY, TO NEARLY EVERY SINGLE TIME I DRIVE THE CAR. ALSO, ONCE IT STARTED HAPPENING MORE FREQUENTLY, I COULDN'T TROUBLESHOOT TO GET THE KEY OUT. I WOULD JUST HAVE TO WAIT, SOMETIMES UP TO TWO HOURS, AND TRY AGAIN. EVENTUALLY, THE KEY WOULD JUST POP RIGHT OUT AS IF NOTHING HAD BEEN WRONG IN THE FIRST PLACE. VERY FRUSTRATING AND TIME CONSUMING. THE CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP GETTING A NEW IGNITION.
