The vehicle began wandering and required constant correction to maintain control, creating a serious safety concern in a remote area far from immediate assistance. There were no warning lamps, messages, or alerts displayed inside the vehicle before or during the incident. Just one week prior, the steering and front end components had been inspected by an authorized dealer during service, and no issues were identified at that time. Upon inspection after the incident, the tie rod hardware was found loose, which could have resulted in a complete loss of steering control if not caught in time. This appears to be a known issue within the Ineos Grenadier community involving steering and tie rod hardware concerns. The failure presents a significant safety risk to vehicle occupants and others on the road, especially during off road or remote travel where recovery and emergency services may not be readily available.
Driving at highway speeds--55-65 mph--the vehicle is all over the road. I am very concerned that there is a problem with the steering engineering making this vehicle dangerous on highways (as opposed to off-road).
