TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 INFINITI EX35. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED, AFTER BEING DRIVEN APPROXIMATELY 45 MINUTES EARLIER THE CONTACT NOTICED A BURNING ODOR IN THE CABIN. A CLOUD OF SMOKE ALSO APPEARED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO TWO MECHANICS AND THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS AND BODY CONTROL MODULE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT DUE TO NO RECALL AND WARRANTY EXPIRATION, THEY WERE UNABLE TO PROVIDE A REPAIR. THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 INFINITI EX35. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE TOP OF THE DASHBOARD BECAME STICKY WHICH CAUSED A GLARE TO THE WINDSHIELD. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THE DASHBOARD NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.
PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG LIGHT STARTED FLASHING, TOOK TO COLUMBUS INFINITI WHO TOLD ME FAULTY ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND TO FIX OVER $3000. I SAID NO WENT HOME AND LOOKED UP ON INTERNET 2 RECALLS FEB 2008 AND OCT 2008 FOR THE SAME PROBLEM, 08V521000 AND 08V066000. I CALLED BACK DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM MY CALL WAS NOT INVOLVED IN THESE RECALLS. I CONTACTED INFINITI CORP AND FILED A COMPLAINT. RESULT WAS MY CAR NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL BUT THEY WOULD BE HALF THE REPAIR OR $1500 AND GIVE ME A DISCOUNT IF I BOUGHT A NEW INFINITI. I DON'T WANT A NEW INFINITI EVEN THOUGH I HAVE OWNED 5 AFTER THIS POOR SERVICE. I FEEL THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE BUT I DON'T FEEL I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR A REPAIR FOR A PROBLEM THAT HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN 2 RECALLS BUT SAYING EVEN THOUGH I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM MY CAR ISN'T INVOLVED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 INFINITI EX35. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED FOR 5 HOURS WHEN IT CAUGHT ON FIRE. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE AND ADVISED THE CONTACT THAT THE FIRE INITIATED FROM THE REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE AREA. A POLICE/FIRE REPORT WAS FILED AND NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED.
